Despite the fact that she almost just died, Angela sure was in a hurry to pack her bags and get the hell out of D.C. Due to the events that happened at the monument, the team was going back to New York as soon as possible.
Liz was full of guilt right now. She knew Angela told her to go first, but she couldn't help but be guilty about the whole thing. "Ang, I should've been more persistent. I should've been the one-"
"Liz, I'm okay." Angela interrupts. She was currently shoving everything in her suitcase, not caring if it wasn't organized properly. "That's all that matters, alright?"
"I guess." She gives in, not wanting to argue with her. Angela can definitely get pretty scary when she's mad, and Liz wanted no parts of it.
"How long til we leave?" Angela asks. Liz looks at her watch to read the time, then gave her answer. "Well we have to be downstairs by 5 and it's 4:47 so-"
"13 minutes. Got it." Now Angela is sitting on top of her suitcase, doing everything she can to zip it shut.
"Need any hel-"
"No." She then managed to zip her suitcase shut all the way, and took a sigh of relief.
Once it was time to meet up and go, she was on edge to just get out of there. She met up with Ned and (to a shock) Peter, but didn't say a word to them. The two boys didn't understand why, and decided not to question it right now.

Now on the school bus, Angela sat alone. She had Ned and Peter sitting behind her and then Michelle sat at the seat across from her again. Even Michelle couldn't get a word through to Angela. It was like the experience at the Washington Monument ruined her. They couldn't exactly blame her, she almost died.
A lot of things were running through her head. First things first, how was she still alive right now? She even questioned that about Peter as well, who was perfectly breathing and okay. How could he have no sustained any injuries? Maybe he did have some injuries but decided to hide them. Angela had yet to thank him, but for now she was silent.
Angela sat in her seat, looking out the window like it was a music video and scribbled in her notebook here and there. The silence was absolutely killing Ned, who just wanted to talk to his best friend. He had so many questions since their what Ned called "passionate hug."
"Ang?" He leans over the bus seat to get a glimpse of her. "Talk to me?"
She sets her pencil down, praying it doesn't roll away, and turns around. Ned had never seen her so distraught, and he wished he could give her another hug right now. Maybe even a kiss.
Angela looks over to Peter, and she could barely even look at him without wanting to cry about the moment that remained fresh in her mind. She turns back immediately once tears start to form. Just wait until her parents see her, it'll be a total sob fest.
"Hey." Michelle whispers. "Angela."
Angela looks at Michelle confused. "You'll get through this."
She smiles a little a Michelle, and goes back to her notebook. This caused Angela some sort of drawing inspiration, so she decided to doodle Michelle with her book in her face.

"Alright everyone, you can get off the bus. Your parents are outside to take you home. See you Monday." Mr Harrington announces, and the students rush off the bus. Angela takes her time to get off, but Michelle stops her for a second for getting off.
"Are you gonna be okay?" She asks Angela. "I'm, uh, here for you..."
"I'll be fine." Angela pauses. "I guess. Thanks."
Angela carefully goes down the steps, and jumps off the last step. She immediately sees her parents and little brother Jackson and runs up to them. Tears definitely couldn't be stopped now.
"Oh, Angie." Her mom whispers as she hugs her tightly. "Thank god you're okay."
Angela grasped onto her mom as if it were for dear life. Her little brother Jackson hugged her leg, and her dad wrapped his arms around his wife and daughter.
"I was so scared." Angela sobbed.
"I know, honey." She whispers and kisses her on the forehead. "I know."
"Uh, hi Mr. and Mrs. Esposito." Ned said out of nowhere. Mrs. Esposito looked at Ned and remember what Angela told her. A smirk was plastered on her face and so she let go of Angela.
"Hello, Ned." She smiles at him. "We'll leave you two alone."
Angela rolls her eyes at her mom then both Peter and Ned walk towards her. "Done staying silent?"
She took a deep breath, wiped away her tears and nods. "I still don't know how to process the whole thing."
"You'll get through it, Ang." Ned reassures her. "You're like the strongest gal I know."
"Thanks, Ned." Angela then takes a look at Peter, and just hugs him. Peter takes this by surprise, but hugs her back awkwardly. He looks over to Ned, and all Ned does is shrug at him.
"Thank you." She whispers to him. Letting go of the hug, she questions him. "What happened after the fall?"
"I mean..." Peter let out a chuckle. "My back does hurt like hell. But I made it out before the police could catch me."
"Peter, I-"
"Don't mention it." He smiles at her. "Shit. Aunt May is here. I'll see you."
"Bye." Angela says softly, leaving it to her and Ned. "Shouldn't you go over to your parents?"
"They texted me saying they'll be late." Ned frowns. "But at least I have you."
"Listen, Ned-"
"Angie! We're heading home!" Her mom calls out. Angela groans and goes to say goodbye to Ned. "It wasn't important anyway. Bye."
Angela quickly hugs Ned and runs over to her family. Angela's mom couldn't stop smiling, and Angela immediately looked at her weird. "What?"
"Progress, honey." She smiles. "Progress."
"Whatever." Angela said. "Can we stop by McDonald's? I'm starving."
"No, we have food at home." Her dad replied.
"Dad, I almost died today-"
"Fine, we'll get some McDonald's!" He turned around and yelled.
