Chapter 2

Bubble paw's POV (again) (EDITED)

BubblePaw woke up, laying in the apprentices' den. She stretched out, and groomed her fur then padded out of the den.

The camp was full of cats and it was about sun high. "Great starClan! I've been sleeping late again." She groaned, flopping down on to the ground. LeafPaw padded towards her with OwlFeather and RippleHeart and two other warriors behind her.

"Feeling okay?" LeafPaw asked.

"No! I just hate waking up this late!" BubblePaw let out a wail, making RippleHeart laugh, "Well, come on then! Lets go and hunt!"

BubblePaw sat up-bolt, "Really? Did you ask DarkMind?"

OwlFeather nodded, his tail twitched.

"Well what are we waiting for? Lets go!" BubblePaw scrambled to her paws and shot off with LeafPaw hard on her paws.

The warriors glanced at each other, rolling their eyes before following the two apprentices.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Time skip)

BubblePaw padded back to camp, she had a successful hunt with LeafPaw. They both padded towards the fresh kill pile and dropped their rabbit and looked around the camp.

RosePaw was sitting beside NightKit and SkyKit, boasting about how she fought off a hawk on her own.

"Pft, it's impossible for an apprentice to fight off a hawk alone." LeafPaw muttered in BubblePaw's ear, who nodded.

"Yeah, right. We should stop it before she encourages the kits to fight off a hawk." BubblePaw mewed and padded towards the apprentice and the two kits.

NightKit and SkyKit looked up and their eyes brightened. "BubblePaw!" They mewed and ran towards her.

"Hi!" BubblePaw gave the two kits a lick on their head.

RosePaw's eyes narrowed, "What do you want, curse-eye." She growled.

NightKit and SkyKit gasped, "RosePaw! BubblePaw is no curse-eye!" NightKit hissed, his tail fluffed up and glared at the apprentice. The two kits looked behind them to see their brother's eyes.

ShadowPaw had padded towards the group, his cold blue eyes narrowed as he heard the insult.

"Leave my kin alone." He mewed coldly as he towered over RosePaw, who shrunk back in fear. This apprentice was older and stronger, very protective over his kin but tall and charming. (Rose paw hates how good looking he is Lol!)

RosePaw gulped, and lashed her tail.

BubblePaw stalked towards the apprentice, "Don't ever tell lies. You never fought off a hawk alone! It's mouse-brained to do when your apprentice." she growled.

"How do you know?" RosePaw spat.

"Because i have seen it in action!" BubblePaw hissed, "Now go away and don't ever tell lies, outsider." she turned her back on the creamy-pink she-cat.

RosePaw's eyes stretched wide with shock and hurt, "I've been in this clan and tried to show my loyalty and yet everyone still thinks I'm an outside? Haven't I proved enough?" She hissed.

"Of course not! Everyday you've been staring at BubblePaw. As if you want her to get hurt! A few days ago, when BubblePaw collapsed, you were smiling!" LeafPaw snarled, BubblePaw glanced at her friend gratefully.

She turned to RosePaw, her eyes narrowing. "Being a clan-mate doesn't mean you have to compete with each other, it's about caring for each other, helping each other not fighting. I understand how you're feeling as you were born rogue." she mewed.

The creamy-pink apprentice's fur bristled, "You do not understand how I am feeling! You weren't born as outsider! You are a pure clan cat, every cat look up at you while they turn their backs on me!" she snarled, her eyes clouded with memories and anger.

BearStrike, TigerBlaze, RippleHeart and OwlFeather glanced at the three apprentices, looking back and forth.

WhiteStar and her siblings sat on the high ledge and listened to the quarrel in the group below.

The senior warriors sat together and also watched. PatchCloud, RosePaw's mentor, watched with wide eyes.

RosePaw growled and slashed across LeafPaw's face, barely touching. The brown apprentice stumbled away, hissed and spitting.

The creamy-pink apprentice to BubblePaw, her eyes narrowed with something, wait is that pity? why would she feel sorry for me? BubblePaw thought then she understood as soon as RosePaw said the word that burdened her forever "odd-eye."

The clan gasped.

Silence.

"What. Did. You. Say?" BubblePaw snarled, unsheathing her claws.

LeafPaw's eyes were wide with horror, she shrunk away from the creamy-grey she-cat.

The kits, even ShadowPaw, looked scared and stepped away.

RosePaw looked confused at first before it turned to fear when she saw the anger in BubblePaw's eyes. "Great StarClan, what did I say?" she squeaked, stepping away from the larger creamy-grey apprentice.

This time, WhiteStar was on her paws. She had obviously noticed how the word "odd-eye" affected the creamy-grey apprentice.

"BubblePaw, step away from RosePaw, now."

The creamy-grey she-cat spat at RosePaw and whisked around, glaring at her leader before stalking off to the forest.

The clan watched the apprentice leave before turning back to RosePaw, some of them were glaring at her, some of them like SnowLeaf and PatchCloud were staring at the apprentice with sympathy, understanding how confused RosePaw is feeling.

"Thanks a lot, RosePaw!" LeafPaw snarled, her fur bristling. She turned to White star, "White star, surely RosePaw should be punished! Or maybe even banish her! Ever since she arrived here, she has done nothing but made trouble." Her tail twitched, waiting for an answer.

The young warriors and some of the senior warriors were nodding, even Lark heart and Dark mind were staring at their sister.

White star looked at her clan, clearly thinking about it. "No. I will not banish her but i will punish her. RosePaw, you are now to wait for your warrior ceremony longer until NightKit and SkyLit are made warriors. And you will clear out the mosses and do all the apprentices' chores."

RosePaw gasped and looked at her leader, "How was I suppose to know it was effecting her?" she muttered under her breath and turned towards the den, her face was puzzled and her eyes clouded with sadness, her tail drooping as she disappeared.

No cat knew how the creamy-pink she-cat was feeling, how heart-broken she was.

LeafPaw let out a snicker.

WhiteStar looked at the brown apprentice, "LeafPaw, go and fetch BubblePaw. Now."

LeafPaw dipped her head and dashed out of the camp to search for her friend.

As LeafPaw left, SnowLeaf glared at her sister, "Honestly, did you even see how confused and upset RosePaw was feeling when you punished her? No you obviously didn't, you three are such mouse-brains, no wonder you didn't want to be a medicine cat." she snorted.

WhiteStar glanced at SnowLeaf, quite surprised that she was defending the young apprentice, "I suppose I should be more fairer on RosePaw." she sighed.

DarkMind shot to his paws, "Are you completely out of your mind? You've seen how RosePaw acted in front of BubblePaw and LeafPaw, she is obviously jealous."

LarkHeart shrugged, "RosePaw is probably thinking about leaving this clan now, SnowLeaf is right, we are unfair to her. She didn't know that word she said offended BubblePaw." he replied, "We should have explained more about BubblePaw to her."

"What will you do now?" DarkMind asked, twitching his tail.

WhiteStar sighed again, "Right now, I don't know. I might talk to her and tell her to not make that mistake again, she'll probably understand how pressured BubblePaw is right now." she then straightened, "I will not punish her, instead I will tell her that she will have to learn to be kind to her clan-mates."
SnowLeaf growled, "Haven't you noticed how close some of the senior warriors are to her? She is a really nice cat. Perhaps the only cats she hate are the cats that are very young and you know very well who I mean." The siblings nodded, "Right time to get to work. See you later!" the medicine cat called over her shoulder and left.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BubblePaw sat by the lake, looking at the gathering place. Her eyes were clouded with anger and confusion, "Why, Star clan. Why do i have this ability?"

"Maybe because you are part of a prophecy." A voice behind made her turn, it was a young apprentice, about 9 moons, standing in front of her.

"Who are you?" BubblePaw asked, springing on to her paws.

"I am SpiritPaw of RiverClan." The she-cat answered back, dipping her head, BubblePaw stepped back, "Why are you here?"

"I don't know really. All i remember is waking up over there." SpiritPaw pointed over to the trees with her tail, "Now, I'm lost. Can you help me get back to my clan?"
BubblePaw blinked, "Hold on. Why did you say I am part of a prophecy?"

SpiritPaw looked at her, her pale eyes shined, "I can't tell you why, and I don't know who the other three are, but all i remember is that four odd cats must meet at the new moon over at the gathering place."
The RiverClan apprentice turned, "Well, I really need to go. Will you help me?" She mewed over her shoulder.

BubblePaw nodded slowly and led the apprentice to the border, "This is the border between WindClan and ThunderClan. Can you make it across the territory to reach RiverClan?"

"I really hope so!" SpiritPaw sounded nervous and she crossed the border.

"HOLD!" A voice made the apprentices freeze.

It was a WindClan warrior, a white and black tom with light blue eyes and behind him were two other cats.

"Great, a border patrol already." BubblePaw groaned, padding next to SpiritPaw.

"Who are you and why are you here?" The tom mewed, his voice was steady and stern, the two other warriors were flexing their claws, waiting to attack.

"I'm BubblePaw from ThunderClan, I'm escorting this RiverClan apprentice to her territory. She's lost and newly apprenticed." She flicked her tail to SpiritPaw.

"Sorry to cross the borders but I am truly lost and I hope you will let us go. And please don't attack BubblePaw when she return to her clan." SpiritPaw dipped her head.

The patrol leader seemed to look less scarier and he dipped his head, but before he could speak, another warrior stepped forward.

"FrostBreeze, you can't be serious! Let's take them to HawkStar. He will know what to do." The white warrior hissed to tom.

FrostBreeze turned to him, "Silence SnowFlame!" He hissed at the warrior then more smoothly, he turned to the apprentices, "You may go across but you," he flicked his tail to BubblePaw, "must return to you border, now ThunderClan. We will escort your RiverClan friend back to her clan."
BubblePaw looked more closely at the warrior, his eyes changed from light blue to light green.

"Uh, can i ask you something?" BubblePaw mewed hesitantly, FrostBreeze twitched his ear and nodded.

"I hope not to offend you, but were you born with your eyes changing?" She winced as she spoke.

SnowFlame and the other warrior snarled, "Mind your own business, apprentice!" SnowFlame launched himself onto BubblePaw.

The ThunderClan apprentice yelped but stopped struggling when FrostBreeze pulled the white warrior off, "Do you mind? You may be my brother but you don't need to be so over protective. That goes for you too, HeatherGaze. You may be my sister but don't be like SnowFlame." He growled then turned back to BubblePaw and helped her up.

"Yes, i was born with it. You too have odd eyes, just like me." FrostBreeze noted, Bubble paw didn't unsheathe her claws, instead she nodded, "Yep, but there's another apprentice in my clan who, I think, would call me a monster because my eyes are odd."

Suddenly, FrostBreeze's eyes turned red with anger, "If she would call you a monster, then she will call me a monster," His eyes turned back to blue with sadness, "I know how it feels." He mewed softly then dipped his head, "You must leave now. Goodbye." He turned and led SpiritPaw away, the RiverClan apprentice waved her tail before disappearing into the moors.

BubblePaw sighed and turned back to border and padded into the forest.

"BubblePaw! BubblePaw!" A voice made her looked up, it was LeafPaw, running towards her.

"Guess what? WhiteStar punished RosePaw by making her wait longer until NightKit and SkyKit are made warriors!" LeafPaw spilled everything that happened after BubblePaw left.

"Oh...yeah, I guess." she muttered.

LeafPaw looked concerned, "What's the matter," then she sniffed BubblePaw's pelt, "Why do you smell like River clan and Wind clan?"

"Oh, a strayed RiverClan apprentice was lost in our territory so i led her back to her camp, on the way we met a WindClan patrol. They escorted the apprentice back to her clan and they told me to go back to our border. Not much happened after that then meeting you."
LeafPaw blinked, "Strange, do RiverClan let their apprentices wonder around the territories?"
BubblePaw shrugged, "Dunno."

As they entered camp, RippleHeart padded towards them, "Hey Bubble, hey Leaf. WhiteStar wants you both. DarkMind and RussetFire are already with her in her den."

"Okay." The two apprentice padded to leader's den, they entered when WhiteStar gave them permission. The clan leader was crouching down, finishing her mouse with DarkMind.

RussetFire sat the other side of WhiteStar, staring at LeafPaw and BubblePaw as they entered. WhiteStar looked up, "Good, you're here." her tongue swiped over her muzzle as she sat up.

"Your mentors and I have been thinking. I believe it is time to make you two warriors."

"It's long overdue." DarkMind added.

"I will hold a ceremony this sunset. Be prepared. You may leave."
LeafPaw and BubblePaw's eyes sparkled with excitement, "Yes!" BubblePaw purred as they exited the den.

The young warriors were waiting by the fresh kill pile, "What did WhiteStar want with you and your mentors?" TigerBlaze asked eagerly.

"I won't tell you, it's a surprise." BubblePaw nudged LeafPaw, who was giggling so hard. BearStrike blinked, "Haven't seen you so happy ever since the argument between you and RosePaw." the warrior noted.

LeafPaw kept on laughing, "Oh StarClan, why did you do this to me!" She fell on her side and curled.

"Poor RosePaw." BubblePaw agreed, smiling.

RippleHeart and the warriors shared a confused glance then turned back to the apprentices, "Are you two okay? I mean, do you need SnowLeaf and TreePaw to check on you?"

BubblePaw's eyes flashed, "No!" making the warriors jump.

LeafPaw scrambled to her paws, "Look, it's sunset!" she mewed.

BubblePaw looked up at the sky, her eyes shined with excitement, "Oh yes! It's time!" She sat down and groomed her fur, LeafPaw sat beside her and groomed her brown fur.

WhiteStar padded out of her den and sprang onto the high ledge, looking down at the camp before yowling, "May all cats that can catch their own prey, join here beneath the high ledge for a clan meeting!"

Cats started to pad out from the dens and gathered around the high ledge, looking up at their clan leader.

"Today we have a special ceremony! Well two to be exact." WhiteStar mewed.

"Two ceremonies in one day!" LeafPaw exclaimed, glancing at BubblePaw, who was staring at WhiteStar.

"NightKit and SkyKit, step forward!"

"WhiteStar, no! Why didn't you warn me?" IvyMist wailed, "Look at their pelts! How can they become apprentice in that state?"

The white leader purred with amusement, "It doesn't really matter what they look like."

The queen sat back down, feeling frustrated. DarkMind licked her ear to calm her.

"Now, NightKit, from this day forward you will be known as NightPaw. Your mentor will be....TigerBlaze!" She mewed, flicking her tail towards the dark brown warrior.

TigerBlaze's eyes widened with disbelief. He stepped forward, NightPaw padded eagerly towards him and they touched their noses.

"SkyKit, from this day forward you will be known as SkyPaw. Your mentor will be OwlFeather!" She continued.

OwlFeather gasped, "You can't serious! This all must be a dream."

WhiteStar turned to him, "No, OwlFeather, it's not a dream. And i am serious!" She purred.

SkyPaw bounded towards him and touched his nose. OwlFeather purred.

"Now the other ceremony. LeafPaw and BubblePaw step forward."
The young warrior's eyes stretched wide with happiness.

The two apprentices padded towards the high ledge, their pelt shined in the sun.

"I, WhiteStar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these two apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn." WhiteStar jumped down and padded towards the apprentices, "BubblePaw, LeafPaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your lives?"

BubblePaw and LeafPaw shared an excited glance and both mewed, "I do!"

WhiteStar twitched her ear, "Then by the powers of Star clan I give you your warrior names: LeafPaw from this moment you will be known as LeafShade. Star clan honours your intelligence and speed, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." She rested her muzzle on top of LeafShade's head, she leaned over to give WhiteStar's shoulder a respectful lick before padding to join the other warriors. RussetFire purred and pressed his nose against her's.

WhiteStar turned to BubblePaw, "BubblePaw, from this moment you will be known as BubbleDream. Star clan honours your bravery and strength. We welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." She rested her muzzle on top of BubbleDream's head, she leaned over to give WhiteStar's shoulder a respectful lick.

The leader stepped back, her blue eyes shining with pride, "I am proud to call you kin, BubbleDream." She purred.

The newly made warrior ducked her head with embarrassment, the clan started to chant.

"LeafShade! BubbleDream! LeafShade! BubbleDream!"

LeafShade padded towards her, "I can't believe! We are finally warriors!" she mewed.

"I know right?" BubbleDream laughed, pushing her friend with affection.

"Now, according to tradition, you both have to sit in for vigil. Now firstly let us have a feast!"

BearStrike and OwlFeather picked their way to the fresh kill pile, RippleHeart and TigerBlaze right behind them, purring. "Congrats! You totally deserve an apprentice." Ripple heart was mewing. The dark brown warrior flicked his tail, "Well, you deserve an apprentice too. Maybe you can help me train NightPaw." He mewed.

RippleHeart's eyes widened, "Me? Help you train? Are you mouse brained? Remember NightPaw is counting on you! And I know you will do it brilliantly."

TigerBlaze smiled and pressed his side against hers, twining his tail around RippleHeart's. The she-cat purred, leaning on the warrior.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(I feel like Ripple heart is a bit young to have a mate- so I might make some drama between the two so it will take a while to get back together, a bit like Squirrel flight and Bramble star)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Look how close RippleHeart is to TigerBlaze. She really loves him, ya'll know?" LeafShade mewed.

"Yep! Lets go and join the toms. If we don't go and eat, the pile would be left with bones and feathers!" BubbleDream joked and bounded towards the brown warriors.

LeafShade was on her paws, suddenly the creamy-grey warrior halted, "Wait! I just noticed I'm the only grey cat in this group!" She wailed.

LeafShade laughed, "Took you long enough!"

OwlFeather and BearStrike padded towards them with fresh-kill in their jaws.

The brown warriors dropped their prey, "What are you complaining about?" OwlFeather tipped his head to one side.

"BubbleDream is moaning that she is the only grey cat in our group." LeafShade purred, flicking her tail with amusement.

"I'm sure we will find a grey cat to join our group." BearStrike reassured the creamy-grey she-cat.

BubbleDream looked up, "When?" She demanded, "Uh..well...uh." BearStrike stammered, trying to find an answer.

OwlFeather rolled his eyes, "Maybe when a grey cat comes to us," he mewed.

BubbleDream scoffed, "Oh please, is StarClan going to send a grey cat to the clan and say to us 'Hey this cat wants to join your group! BubbleDream, you won't be the only one now,' is that what's going to happen, huh?"

LeafShade laughed, "I wish that could happen!" BearStrike and OwlFeather shared an amused glance before joining in.

TigerBlaze and RippleHeart padded over to them, "What's up?" TigerBlaze asked in confusion.

LeafShade turned to them, "Oh, I wish you were here to listen to what BubbleDream had said!"
RippleHeart tipped her head, "What did she say this time?"

The newly brown warrior repeated the words again, making the two warriors laugh, "Oh BubbleDream! I do too wish that could happen!" RippleHeart purred.

The creamy-grey warrior rolled her eyes, "Oh yes, of course. We all want StarClan to bring a grey warrior to us. Ha. Ha. Ha. Let us sit here and wait for Star clan to show us who the grey warrior is and we will just casually let him join the group." she mewed sarcastically.

This time her mew was loud enough for the whole clan to hear and they all burst out laughing, "Great StarClan! Let us all sit together tonight then!" One of the warriors called out.

BubbleDream blinked, "I did not know my voice was that loud!" She grumbled.

"Oh, BubbleDream...I wish you could stop making us laugh." A soft voice behind made her turn, WhiteStar and SnowLeaf were stand before her, their eyes full of amusement.

LarkHeart and DarkMind were too busy laughing, "LarkHeart, your daughter has a way of words!" BubbleDream's former mentor pushed his brother.

"Hey, she inherited it from her mother." LarkHeart purred.

BubbleDream shuffled her paws with embarrassment, "Is this the reason why I was born? To be a comedian?"

"Of course not! You know that's not true." LeafShade head butted her best friend.

"Alright, if you two haven't ate anything yet, hurry up! Silver pelt is shining now." WhiteStar mewed.

LeafShade and BubbleDream nodded and turned back to the brown warriors.

"I still hate being the only grey cat." The creamy-grey warrior muttered.

LeafShade rolled her eyes, OwlFeather and BearStrike invited the two she-cats to join them, they padded and settled down beside the toms and shared their prey and swapping jokes.

Just before moon high, BubbleDream and LeafShade padded over to their position and sat down, their eyes watching the forest as the clan were sound asleep.
