The Bangtan boys were sitting around their kitchen, trying some snacks that their fans had sent from around the world (their manager had inspected all of them before giving the box to the boys).
Yoongi was between Jin and Hobi, and was struggling to open a package of cookies from Canada. They were called fudge stripes, and looked delicious.
But Yoongi just could not open the package.
Jin had to get up really quick to go get something from his room, so Jungkook, who had been standing near the table, took his spot, now sitting next to Yoongi.
"Could you open these cookies for me, hyung?" Yoongi asked shyly, handing Jungkook the package.
The others glanced up at Yoongi in question, but didn't say anything since they assumed Yoongi hadn't noticed Jin leaving and the maknae replacing him.
Jungkook didn't say anything, either, too preoccupied with his twizzlers from America to notice the misplaced honorific.
"Mhm," he hummed, and took the package from his hyung.
Yoongi, however, beamed up at Jungkook.
His cheeks pinked slightly, because in his mind, Jungkook had accepted that Yoongi saw him as his hyung.
When Jungkook had opened the package, he handed it back to Yoongi.
"Thanks, hyung," Yoongi muttered, immediately taking one of the cookies out to plop into his mouth.
The others looked up again, and looked quizzically at Yoongi because, surely he could see Jin wasn't next to him anymore?
Jungkook also noticed this time, and he tilted his head to the side, assuming Yoongi was either teasing or didn't mean to use the honorific.
Yoongi continued to munch on his cookies, none the wiser of the mild confusion his bandmates were going through.
~
Yoongi walked into the living room where the maknae line was gathered, and sat gingerly on the floor next to Taehyung.
"Hi, Yoongi!" Taehyung said distractedly.
He and Jungkook were in an intense card game right now, and Jimin was watching them from the sideline.
Yoongi didn't respond, and instead watched on in fascination.
He didn't understand the rules of the game, so he didn't know what the two were supposed to do next, but watching them pulling the next moves was exciting to Yoongi.
He giggled as Jungkook shouted, Taehyung catching up with Jungkook.
Yoongi rested his head on Taehyung's shoulder, his giggling continuing.
He grinned, and pointed to one of the cards in Taehyung's hand.
"This one, hyung!" His voice bubbled out.
He wasn't really sure what that card was or what it meant, but Taehyung pulled it out anyway, setting it down.
Taehyung took notice of the honorific, as did Jungkook and Jimin, but they thought Yoongi was messing around again.
Plus, Taehyung was too busy with the game to question the older.
"Good idea, Yoongi," Taehyung commented, referring to the card Yoongi had suggested.
It got his score above Jungkook's, who muttered about Taehyung cheating by getting help from Yoongi, but Jimin dismissed the accusation, mainly because his Yoongi hyung was being so adorable right now.
After the round was over, Yoongi hopped up on his knees, "I wanna play!"
"I have to go to the gym now, but you can play with Jimin and Taehyung," Jungkook said, standing up and saying his byes.
"Since you won," Jimin said to Taehyung after Jungkook left, "you can play a round with Yoongi hyung."
Taehyung nodded, and gathered the cards up.
He gave Yoongi the right cards that he was supposed to have and reset the game up.
"Okay, do you know how to play?" He asked, looking at Yoongi who was looking at the cards, his eyes lost.
He stayed silent for a moment, before he looked at Taehyung with sad eyes, "no," he pouted.
Taehyung grinned fondly at his hyung, "that's okay, I'll teach you."
Taehyung tried to teach Yoongi the rules of the game, pointing to each card and explaining it.
Yoongi had his brows furrowed, and the tip of his tongue was poking out of his mouth as he tried to concentrate on what Taehyung was teaching him.
But the rules just didn't make sense to him.
He was completely lost.
His eyes glossed over slightly, and he looked up at Taehyung in disappointment.
Taehyung stopped talking, looking at the sad Yoongi worriedly.
"I don't know how, hyung," Yoongi whispered.
Taehyung looked at Jimin, who looked equally as confused.
Jimin scooted toward Yoongi, and patted his back.
"It's okay, Yoongi," he said, purposefully refraining from referring to Yoongi as 'hyung' for the time being, "this game is tricky to learn. Even Taehyung and I still find it confusing sometimes."
Yoongi nodded, looking down at his cards.
"How about we play an easier card game?" Taehyung suggested gently.
Yoongi perked up at that, and said quietly, "okay..."
Taehyung smiled at him, "how about you go pick one?"
Yoongi nodded, and set his cards down before leaving to retrieve a new game.
Taehyung and Jimin looked at each other.
"Why did he call you hyung, Taehyung-ah?" Jimin questioned, confused.
Taehyung shrugged, "didn't he call Jungkookie hyung the other day?"
"Yes, but I thought that was because he thought Jin hyung was still next to him," Jimin stated.
"That's what I thought at first, too, but then he called Jungkookie hyung again when he handed the cookies back," Taehyung reasoned.
Jimin tilted his head, thinking.
They weren't able to talk anymore after that, because Yoongi was running back into the room with a new card game: Uno.
~
Yoongi was listening to a podcast in his room when Namjoon walked in, smiling at the lump on the bed.
"Hi, I knocked but I guess you didn't hear me," Namjoon explained.
"Oh," Yoongi said, his cheeks pinking as he took his headphones off, "sorry, hyung."
Namjoon stopped walking, startled by the honorific.
"Uh," he started, awkwardly, "it's okay."
He sat on the side of Yoongi's bed, watching the way Yoongi fiddled with the Tata plush in his arms.
"I came in here to ask if you knew where my gray hoodie was. The one that Hobi hyung got me last month," Namjoon explained.
He watched as Yoongi's cheeks went red, and the older looked around nervously.
"Hyung?" Namjoon questioned.
Yoongi snapped his eyes to Namjoon, and then covered his face with Tata.
"Hyung," Yoongi repeated, his voice muffled by the plush pressed to his face.
Namjoon raised his eyebrow, but softly smiled at his hyung, fondness in his eyes.
"Do you know where it is?" Namjoon reiterated.
He saw Yoongi nod his head, still hiding behind the plush.
Namjoon reached forward, and gently lowered the plush down, giving a dimpled smile to Yoongi's kitten face as it appeared.
"Hi, Yoongi," he said, quietly.
Yoongi smiled at him shyly, "h-hi, hyung."
Namjoon was still very confused as to why Yoongi was acting this way, and why he had called him hyung twice now.
But he was too fond right now; he hardly saw his hyung acting so sweet, as usually this man before him was like a stone.
"Where's my hoodie, Yoongs?" Namjoon asked again, still smiling.
Yoongi pouted, and pulled the covers down.
Namjoon could see Yoongi's torso now, which had previously been hidden by his blankets.
Namjoon's heart swelled when he saw that his hyung was wearing his hoodie. It looked big on him, and Namjoon wasn't sure how he didn't see the sleeves on Yoongi's arms until now.
His hyung had sweater paws, and was fidgeting with Tata.
Namjoon chuckled fondly, looking at his hyung's blushing face.
"Sorry, hyung," Yoongi whispered.
"That's okay," Namjoon whispered back, choosing to ignore the honorific, "you can wear it. You look cute."
Yoongi hid his smile behind the plush again.
~
Hobi was in his room hanging up a painting above his bed when his door swung open, startling him.
Yoongi walked in, shutting the door behind him, and went over to Hobi.
"Oh, hello!" Hobi grinned, smiling at the quickly approaching Yoongi.
"Hi," Yoongi said quietly, "what are you doing?"
Yoongi spoke with a pout, and it made Hobi laugh fondly.
"You look like a kitten! Kitten Yoongi!" He smiled, "I'm hanging a painting up. I just need to put it on the nails."
Yoongi nodded.
When Hobi finished hanging up the painting, he turned to Yoongi, grabbing him and pulling him down into the bed with him, laughing.
Yoongi sqealed in surprise, before he started giggling, landing on the bed next to Hoseok.
"Hyungie!" He giggled, rolling on to his stomach.
Hobi stopped laughing, looking at Yoongi confused.
Yoongi was still giggling, however, and buried his face in hobi's bedspread.
Hobi smiled after a moment, though, rolling on to his side to cuddle his cute hyung.
"You're so cute, kitty Yoongi," he joked.
Yoongi blushed and pouted, causing Hobi to laugh and squish his cheeks, "awwww my cute kitty!"
"Hyung!" Yoongi smiled, hiding in hobi's chest.
Hobi laughed again, hugging Yoongi tightly.

Jin looked up when his bedroom door opened.
He was in his bed reading, when Yoongi came in wearing his pajamas.
"Are you okay, Yoongi?" Jin asked, setting his book aside as he took in how sad and small Yoongi looked as he approached, "tell hyung what's wrong."
"Hyungie," Yoongi cried miserably, finally reaching Jin's side.
Jin was trying to sit up in bed when Yoongi collapsed on top of him, crying into his stomach.
Jin was alarmed, and put his arm around Yoongi's back protectively, stroking the younger's hair with his other hand.
"What's wrong, my baby? Tell hyung what happened."
"I can't find him," Yoongi cried into Jin's stomach.
"Find who, Yoongi?" Jin asked, confused.
"Shooky!" Yoongi cried, looking at Jin desperately, "I-I can't go to sleep without him, and I'm worried he's hurt somewhere! What if he's cold!"
Jin took a few seconds to remember who Shooky was, initially thinking Yoongi was talking about Holly.
But then, when he remembered Shooky was Yoongi's BT21 plush, Jin became kind of confused.
Yoongi cared so much about a plush that he would cry because of it? And would be worried about it being cold?
"Okay, baby," Jin started, "let's go find him, okay? I'll help you look."
Yoongi sniffled and nodded, wiping at his face.
The two of them began searching the house for Shooky, but couldn't find him anywhere.
Yoongi began crying again when Jin said he didn't know where else there was to look.
Jin pulled Yoongi into his arms, cradling him softly.
"Are you sure he's not in your room anywhere, Yoongles?" Jin asked gently, not wanting to embarrass the boy in case he really did just overlook the plush.
"I looked everywhere in there already, hyung!" Yoongi whined.
"Okay, let's go look together, then."
Yoongi nodded, and let Jin guide him to his room.
They began searching there, and Jin started to search around the younger's bed, looking under it.
He felt around on top of the bed, and felt a soft lump under the covers towards the foot of the bed.
He reached his arm under the covers, and grabbed onto the thing.
When he pulled his arm out, he was holding on to the small, round Shooky plush.
He smiled fondly, and turned to look at Yoongi who was going through his closet.
"Yoongi, hyung found Shooky," Jin informed the younger.
Yoongi whipped around, and spotted his beloved plush in Jin's gentle grasp.
He ran over and snatched Shooky, hugging him tightly.
"Thank you, Hyungie!" Yoongi said, giggling.
Jin smiled fondly, "of course, Yoongi. That's what hyung's are for."
~
Jin and Yoongi were out at the studio, and the others were all in the living room doing their own thing.
The maknaes were doing their card game again, Hobi was journaling, and Namjoon was practicing his English speech for an upcoming event they were invited to.
Suddenly, Jungkook spoke up, "has Yoongi been calling everyone else hyung, too?"
That got the attention of the others.
They all stopped what they were doing to look at the maknae.
"Yeah," Namjoon confessed, "he was calling me that a few days ago."
The others all agreed, and they all began sharing their stories of Yoongi calling them hyung.
"But why is he calling us that?" Hobi question, "because he seemed genuine with it, right? At first when he called Jungkook that when we were trying those snacks, I thought he was just messing around."
The others nodded their agreement.
"Maybe he just doesn't feel comfortable being the second oldest right now?" Taehyung pondered.
The others considered this.
"Like, maybe he's so stressed right now that he doesn't want to deal with the stress of taking care of his younger members?" He continued.
"Maybe," Jimin agreed, "he has been working very hard lately."
"But it doesn't seem like he was very aware of what he was calling us?" Hobi spoke up.
"That's true," Jungkook agreed.
Their conversation was interrupted, however, by the front door slamming open.
Yoongi ran through the living room, crying, and his heavy footsteps could be heard through the house before the sound of his bedroom door slammed shut.
Jimin, always one to comfort a crying member, jumped up and went after Yoongi.
Jin came in a second later, shutting the front door gently.
The other members were looking at him in confusion and alarm.
"Is Yoongi hyung okay?" Taehyung asked worriedly, approaching Jin who was still at the door taking his shoes off.
Jin sighed. He looked so dejected, it hurt to look at him.
"What happened, hyung?" Taehyung asked again.
"I don't know, Tae. I don't know what I did wrong. I was just trying to help."
Namjoon led Jin to the couch, and had the oldest sit down and talk to them about what happened.
~
*At the studio with Jin and Yoongi*
Yoongi was focused on the track he was working on, but Jin couldn't help wondering what was going on with the younger lately.
He had heard him in Hoseok's room a few nights prior, calling the younger one hyung and giggling and being cute.
He was also told about Yoongi calling Jungkook hyung twice during the day they were trying the snacks, while he was in his room.
And then, the night when Yoongi had a meltdown over his Shooky plush missing, insisting he couldn't sleep without it.
Jin was honestly worried that the younger was overworking himself to the point where he was getting overly emotional and childish – which wasn't necessarily bad, but Jin would have to make sure that Yoongi would cut back on the amount of work and exhaustion he was putting himself through.
"Hey, Yoongi?" He asked eventually, causing Yoongi to grunt in response.
"Can you please listen to me, Yoongi?" Jin continued, "I want to talk to you about something important."
Yoongi took his headphones off and turned to Jin, "are you okay, hyungie?"
Jin sighed, taking notice of the childish innocence in the younger's eye, the pout on his lips. The way he was curled up in his seat the way a child would sit, and his use of the word 'hyungie.'
"This is what I wanted to talk about, Yoongi," Jin started, using his hand to motion Yoongi, "you've been acting different lately, and I'm worried it's because you're over working yourself."
Yoongi frowned in confusion, "how am I acting, hyung?"
"You just seem a bit...I don't know, childish?" Jin tried, but immediately regretted it when he saw Yoongi's face fall.
"Wha'...?" Yoongi said, confused, his pout depending as he looked at Jin, before accusedly saying, "so?"
"It's not necessarily a bad thing to be acting childish, Yoongi," Jin reassured, "but I'm worried you're acting this way because you're overworked. Maybe if you took a break from working, you wouldn't be acting like this anymore? You'd be back to your normal Yoongi self?"
Yoongi's eyes became teary, which went unnoticed by the older, and he looked at Jin betrayed.
"You're right. Drive me home," he said, standing up and already heading to the door of the studio, leaving his computer up and his belongings on the desk and chair.
Jin was startled by the sudden demand, but he thought maybe Yoongi had also been thinking about this, but was too afraid to ask the guys if he could take a break, since he was known for constantly working.
So he stood up and saved everything on Yoongi's computer, shutting it off, and picking up both of their belongings.
The walk to the car was silent, and while Jin felt relieve that Yoongi would be taking a break from working, Yoongi on the other hand was trembling and crying silently.
He was rejected by his oldest hyung. Jin hyung wanted him to act like he did when he was big. He didn't like little Yoongi, he wanted little Yoongi to go away.
Those thoughts went over and over in Yoongi's head as they drove home, and it wasn't until Jin asked if Yoongi wanted to stop and get food when he finally noticed the younger sobbing silently.
Jin almost swerved the car from shock, but was able to control it.
"Yoongi!" He exclaimed, "why are you crying? I think this will be good for you, and I can't wait until you're back to normal! Can't you?"
Jin thought his words would be reassuring, but instead, he was alarmed to find that it had caused Yoongi to start crying harder.
When they pulled up to the dorms, Yoongi ran out of the car and slammed the front door open, still sobbing, before Jin could even get his seatbelt off.
~
*Back in the living room with Jin on the couch*
Jin explained what happened with Yoongi to Namjoon, Taehyung, Jungkook, and Hoseok.
The others were also confused.
"Maybe he thought you were making fun of him for working so long?" Jungkook tried.
"Or maybe that you were making fun of him for acting childish?" Taehyung suggested.
Jin nodded, considering the two youngest's suggestions.
"I don't know if that would have caused him to sob so hard, though," Jin concluded, looking hopelessly at the others.
Just then, they heard Yoongi's door open down the hall.
They couldn't see him, but they could hear footsteps approaching the living room.
There was only one pair of foot steps audible, however, for some reason.
But then, Jimin came into view, walking into the living room...holding Yoongi, who was clinging onto him like a koala.
~
*In Yoongi's room after he slammed the door shut*
Yoongi collapsed on his bed, sobbing into his mattress.
Jin didn't want little Yoongi around, he wanted him gone as soon as possible, Yoongi thought.
He cried harder at the thought of his Jinnie Hyungie not wanting little Yoongi, and then began thinking of whether or not the others wanted little Yoongi.
They were so sweet to him, but then again, so had Jin been. And now, suddenly, after Jin was his hero for finding Shooky, he didn't want Yoongi?
There was a soft knock on the door, and a sweet voice called through the wood, "hyung? Can I please come in?"
Hyung.
Of course, how could he be so stupid? Of course the others didn't want little Yoongi.
Yoongi was their hyung, not their baby to take care of.
The door opened just then, and Yoongi realized it had been a minute since Jimin had asked for entry.
The door reshut gently.
Yoongi could hear Jimin approaching the bed.
When Jimin sat down, he began rubbing Yoongi's back softly, just sitting there with him.
It was soothing to Yoongi, and he found himself sniffling his last tears quicker than he would have if Jimin wasn't there to silently comfort him.
"Are you okay now, Yoongi?" Jimin asked gently after a few minutes of silence.
"Jiminie?" Yoongi said, quietly, instead of replying to the question.
"Yes baby?" Jimin responded.
"Do you not want me, either?" Yoongi's voice was shy and sad, and the question startled Jimin.
"What? What do you mean by that, Yoongi?"
"Jin doesn't want me, he wants Yoongi. But I'm not Yoongi. Do you not want me, either?"
Now Jimin was more confused.
"If you're not Yoongi," he started, "then who are you?"
Yoongi took his face out from the mattress now, and sat up, wiping his tears, "I'm Yoonie."
"Yoonie?" Jimin repeated.
Yoongi nodded.
"Oh," Jimin said, "well, hi, Yoonie. Are you and Yoongi different?"
"Mmm, kind of," Yooni said, and Jimin could already see the older becoming more relaxed.
"Well, how are you kind of different?"
"Well," Yoongi blushed, "Yoongi is older. And he's not very nice. But I'm Yoonie, so I'm really nice."
Jimin still wasn't following.
"So...how old are you?" He asked.
"Um...I'm four right now. But I prefer being three or two."
Jimin nodded, but still was lost, "okay. And why are you four if you prefer being three or two?"
"Because," Yoongi's voice dropped to a sad whisper, "I didn't want to scare you guys. But I thought you already accepted little Yoongi? But Jin didn't."
At his last statement, Yoongi began to cry again.
"You let me call you hyung, I thought you liked Yoonie! And then Jin said I can't be childish anymore, so he doesn't want Yoonie!"
Jimin was alarmed by Yoongi suddenly crying again, but he quickly pulled the other into his lap, cradling him close.
"It's okay, baby, hyung's got you," he whispered, figuring it was the comforting words Yoongi needed to hear right now, despite it being slightly uncomfortable for Jimin to address himself as a Hyung to someone older than himself.
But it did work, because Yoongi immediately perked up, "hyung?"
"Yes, baby?" Jimin replied.
"Y-You like Yoonie?"
Yoongi looked so shy and insecure, pouting up at Jimin like a scared kitten.
"Of course I do! My little Yoonie is so cute."
Yoongi smiled, and dropped his head.
"Um, but," Jimin began, "why are you acting this way?"
"Cause I'm a little," Yoongi said simply.
Jimin nodded, and hugged Yoongi so he could Google what a little was behind Yoongi's back, literally.
Once he had done a few minutes of speedy research, he pulled back from Yoongi slightly.
"Let's go to the others, baby. I'm sure they would love to meet Yoonie."
So Jimin picked Yoongi up, and carried him out of the room, the older clinging to him like a koala.
He walked down the hallway, and when he entered the living room, all of the boys were already looking towards him.
~
Jin stood up, wiping his eyes to rid his face of the left over tears, and tentatively looked at the boy in Jimin's arms.
He looked so small, so vulnerable...did Jin really hurt him that bad?
"Yoongi?" Jin called, tentatively.
Jimin made a face that signalled for Jin to stop, so Jin did, and he sat back, down dejected.
Jimin, however, arrived at the couch and made room for himself to sit between Jin and Namjoon.
He was still holding Yoongi in his lap, and all the others could see he was trembling slightly, trying to hide himself in Jimin's neck.
"Guys, I want you to meet Yoonie," Jimin said, in a quiet and sweet voice, as he soothingly rubbed Yoongi's back.
Jin cocked an eyebrow, confused, "'Yoonie'?"
Jimin looked at him, before whispering something unintelligible into Yoongi's ear. The older nodded a second later.
"Yes, Yoonie. He is a little, and right now he's four."
Yoongi, however, shook his head, and whispered something to Jimin, who raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"Actually, he's two now. Which means he's regressed further."
"Huh?" Taehyung said, "he's two? And he's regressed? I'm confused."
The others looked just as lost, so Jimin explained everything to them.
Jin felt horrible the more Jimin explained, because he was recalling what he had suggested to Yoongi.
Now that he knew about Yoongi's little side, as Jimin called it, his previous words made it sound like Jin was trying to suppress Yoongi from showing his little space to the boys.
Once Jimin finished his explanation, Jin rubbed Yoongi's back, "Yoonie? Can I please hold you?"
Yoonie looked tentatively at Jin, with nervous, teary eyes, which broke the older's heart.
"Please, baby, I want to talk to you."
Yoonie nodded, and slowly climbed from Jimin's lap to Jin's.
Jin held him like Jimin had been, and leaned down so he could rest the side of his face against the side of Yoonie's, to have better access to whisper in his ear.
"Yoonie, hyung is so sorry for what I said earlier in the studio and in the car. I had no idea you were a little, I didn't even know about littles until Jimin explained to me. I wasn't trying to suppress you or anything similar to that, okay? I was only trying to help you, but I wasn't aware that I was making you worse. I want what's best for you, always. I wish you had told me, told any of us, about this sooner, baby. We would have been able to take care of you a lot sooner. Can you please forgive hyung?"
Yoonie stayed quiet, but after a few moments of tense silence, the little nodded his head.
Jin released his breath, relieved, and hugged Yoonie tightly, "thank you, Yoonie."
~
The boys quickly became accustomed to seeing Yoonie, more often than Yoongi. They had all become his caregivers, but Jin and Jimin became his main caregivers.
He also, now being more comfortable around them while little, regressed further, most often times being regressed to 2 or 3.
"Can you opin dis, pease?" He asked Taehyung one day while they were all in the kitchen having breakfast.
Yoongi didn't like many sweet things, and would always be seen with an iced Americano in the morning.
Yoonie, however, wasn't allowed to have coffee, so he resorted to his newfound love: banana milk. Jungkook was happy to share his stash with the little.
"Of course I can, baby," Taehyung smiled, taking the bottle from the little's chubby hand.
He opened the bottle before handing it back to Yoongi, who had stars in his eyes as he thanked Taehyung, calling him 'Super Tae'.
After they ate their breakfast, Jin came up to Yoonie and hoisted him out of his chair, telling him it was bathtime.
Yoonie grumbled, but layed against Jin's chest as he carried him to the bathroom.
"Sit here while I run the bath, okay, honey?" Jin instructed, setting the little on the closed toilet seat.
Yoonie nodded, and whatched quietly as Jin started the bath, feeling the temperature of the water before plugging the drain.
"Okay, baby, let's get you undressed," Jin smiled.
Yoonie blushed, but grinned up at Jin, "okay, hyungie!"
Jin helped Yoonie out of his shirt, and then had the younger stand up so he could remove his pants and underwear.
Once Yoonie was nude, Jin helped him into the bath.
As Jin was massaging shampoo into Yoonie's hair, the little smiled, with his eyes closed.
"I love you, Jinnie Hyungie," he whispered.
Jin smiled, "I love you too, Yoonie baby."
