Namjoon rubs his temples, sitting on the couch as he listens to Jungkook yelling at him for the billionth time that day.
He's mastered the skill of drowning the younger's voice out, and instead focusing on getting his migraine under control.
Maybe some peace and quiet would help him.
Namjoon stands up from the couch, collecting his phone, keys, wallet, other necessities, and walked to the front door.
Jungkook had been in the kitchen, his voice loud as he yelled at Namjoon.
Namjoon put his shoes on, and left.
Jungkook was still blabbering away in the kitchen, so he didn't hear the front door open and close.
He was in the middle of a sentence when he walked back into the living room, turning to where Namjoon had been when he had first walked out, only to find an empty room.
His blood boiled.
"Really!" He yelled, throughout the, unbeknownst to him, empty house, "Namjoon! I'm talking to you! And you walk out of the room?"
He stomped through the house, trying to find Namjoon while he yelled louder about how rude it was to leave the room when someone's taking to them.
He realized, once he got to the last room of the house, that Namjoon wasn't there anymore.
"Namjoon?" He called out, looking around confused.
He went to the front door, and saw that Namjoon's keys were gone.
Jungkook stared at the empty slot on the key holder for a long time, his eyes stinging.
Had Namjoon actually left without telling him? While he was talking?
Well...he wasn't talking, Jungkook hated to admit, but was yelling. And cursing the older out.
Tears welled in his eyes as he trudged to the living room, sitting in the spot Namjoon had been.
Had Namjoon left him for good? But his things were still in their room...he wouldn't just leave, would he? Was Jungkook being that horrible?
He sat on the couch and contemplated.
Why was he even yelling at Namjoon, to begin with?
He honestly couldn't remember what had begun his yelling. All he knew was that he had been yelling at Namjoon for everything – Namjoon would so much as cough a few too many times and Jungkook would yell at him.
He sat on the couch for a long, long time, staring off into space with a pillow cuddled against him in his arms.
He didn't even hear the front door open or shut an hour later, his head spinning with negative thoughts.
When Namjoon walked into the room, his movement caught the younger's eye, startling him.
He looked up at Namjoon, and burst into tears as he jumped up off of the couch, running to him.
He engulfed the alarmed older in a tight hug, crying hard.
"I-I thought you left me!" He cried, "I-I was yelling at you a-and I didn't realize how rude and childish I was being and then I realized I was a-alone! I thought you weren't coming back!"
Namjoon wrapped his arms around Jungkook as he cried, and after a while, carried him back over to the couch, sitting down with the boy in his lap.
"Jungkook, stop crying, please," Namjoon whispered, prying the hands off of Jungkook's face so he could wipe his tears.
Jungkook sniffed, taking a few shaky, hiccupy breaths, nodding his head for whatever reason.
"Jungkook," Namjoon started. His voice was firm, but gentle. He pressed their foreheads together and held Jungkook's hands to keep him grounded while he spoke to the younger.
"I'm sorry I left without telling you. That was wrong of me to do. But you were also wrong to yell at me like that. We're a team, remember? We do things together, and you yelling like that was not something people on the same team do. It really hurt my feelings hearing you saying those things, especially since I don't think I did anything wrong. The next time you have a problem, or are frustrated – whether it be with me or with anything, anyone, else – talk to me. Okay?"
Jungkook nodded, his lips trembling.
"I-I'm sorry, hyung. I didn't even notice how bad I was being," he whispered, closing his eyes tight and causing more tears to slip down his face.
Namjoon wiped his hands away, "I know, baby. I should have tried to speak to you earlier, too. We both made mistakes today, but let's learn from this, okay? Are we gonna do this again?"
"No," Jungkook shook his head.
Namjoon nodded, "No," he agreed, "we're not gonna do this again. I love you, baby. I hope you know that."
"I love you too," Jungkook blushed, wrapping his arms around Namjoon's neck before pulling the older into a sweet kiss.
It was full of emotions, with both of them trying to convey their apologies through it, their regret, and the love they held for each other.
When they separated, Namjoon stood up, and carried the tired boy to their room.
"Let's forget about today and watch a movie, alright? Afterwards, we can take a nice bath."
Jungkook nodded, smiling up at Namjoon fondly, "that's a good plan."
They did just that, watching a movie while they cuddled in bed, running their fingertips over their skin and creating goosebumps of the best kind, whispering sweet words into each other's ears when they would occasionally press feather light kisses to their lips.
After the movie, Namjoon ran a bath, while Jungkook undressed and got their pajamas and towels out.
Jungkook had sat against Namjoon's back, between his legs, and let himself be washed by the older.
Then, he returned the favor, turning around to face Namjoon so he could wash his body.
They shampooed, and then rinsed, and then got out, drying off.
When they were changed into their pajamas, they got back in bed, even though they hadn't even had dinner yet, and faced each other.
"I love you, Namjoon," Jungkook whispered, bringing Namjoon's hand up to kiss over his knuckles.
Namjoon smiled at Jungkook with all the love he could show, and whispered back, "I love you too, baby."
When they woke up in the morning, with empty, grumbling stomachs, they weren't even upset.
