Don't worry we'll fix you

When you live with someone for a very long time, you grew accustomed and familiar to their attitude and to their lifestyle and soon, it will come to the point where you knew them just like you knew yourself.

If someone could prove this statement, Jin is the perfect candidate.

Being with his six dongsaengs for almost four years now, he knew each and every one of them like the back of his hand. Sure, he might not know everything about them, but he definitely knows a lot. If he might dare say, he knew them just as much as he knew his older brother (who he practically knows all of his life).

He knew that when Jungkook grabbed a pack of chips from the kitchen and retreated to his room, the maknae will be up until the wee hours of the morning playing Overwatch and won’t stop until he comes into his room and scold the younger.

He knew that when Jimin is playing around with his food, the younger read some mean comments on the internet directed to him and was now doubting his self and having insecurities. Later on, Jin will have to fetch him in the studio at 1 am then give him hugs and cuddles to reassure him that he is loved and needed.

He knew that when Namjoon is extra kind for the day but refused to look him in the eye while talking to him that the younger probably broke something —again.

Jin paused in cutting ingredients for their dinner to momentarily glance at the clock in the wall in front of him, his mind now swirling with thoughts about his second youngest dongsaeng.

The members of Bangtan, minus Tae, were huddled in the living room of their dorm, eyes fixated on the screen of Jimin’s laptop as they talk with Tae through Skype. To an outsider, it might be silly to witness that scene because why would they need to Skype Taehyung when he legitimately lives with them. Taehyung is not even outside the country, nor the city even and would be actually home later.

One word.

Hwarang.

They rarely get to see their second maknae because of the drama that he is shooting. He would leave at the crack of dawn and came back when everybody is already sleeping. It has been days since they really saw him in the flesh and talked to him face to face. The only communication they had now is through texts, video calls, and through updates from Taehyung’s PA and their manager.

It’s not that they hate that Taehyung got the role, per say. As a matter of fact, they were the first to congratulate the younger and give him a surprise party. They are truly glad that Tae got this role and they have never been so proud of their dongsaeng but it has been days since they last saw him and they all miss him terribly. This is the longest the members were parted with him and they miss his box-shaped smile and carefree attitude.

“We rarely get to see you anymore, hyung,” Jungkook whined as they watch Taehyung being applied with make-up by his makeup crew for his shoot. “I know, I’m really sorry, Kookie. It’s just everything is so hectic and the director really wants to finish this as soon as possible,” Taehyung said in between pauses since talking while being applied with make-up is kind of a hard task.

“Ya, but we really miss you. I have no one to bother except Kookie and Jin-hyung’s jokes are getting worse. You have to save me from my misery,” Jimin said, which evoked small laughs from Jungkook and Hobi while an indignant scoff from Jin.

However, they were disappointed when they noticed that Taehyung was not paying attention to them. The members’ eyes were all glued to the screen of Jimin’s laptop as they watch him now being assisted in wearing his costume. After a few minutes, Tae thanked and bowed to the make-up crew for helping him prepare and then ushering them out of the tent. He let out a sigh before he realized that he was still talking with his bandmates. His eyes widened comically and he hurriedly picked his cell phone from wherever it was placed earlier and held it close to his face. “Sorry guys, you were saying?” Taehyung said, smiling guiltily at not paying attention to them.

Up close, the members could finally see how tired their second maknae is. He is still handsome, of course, but no amount of concealer and make-up could hide them the droopy eyes, stifled yawns, and hunched figure that Taehyung now had because of the stress.

As if the drama is not stressful enough, whenever Taehyung is not shooting, he was at the studio catching up with the steps of their choreography. The few times they catch him there, they would see him struggling and frustrated and sometimes almost at the brink of crying but he would always brush their worries away with his twinkling eyes and box-shaped smile. (“I’m fine hyung, I’m really am.”)

“We miss you, Tae, we really do,” Jin said sincerely, and he could feel the solemn atmosphere that suddenly enveloped the room. Taehyung’s gaze softened and he smiled softly at them. “Are you eating well? Are you sleeping properly?”

Yes, eomma,” Taehyung said teasingly, “you make it sound like I’m in another country or going off to war or something.”

“Well with us just talking through texts and video calls, you might as well be in a far place,” Jungkook mumbled but everyone, including Taehyung, heard him clearly.

Silence ensued and as much Jin wanted to scold Jungkook, he understood where the younger was coming from. Taehyung’s smile immediately dropped and his eyes lost its sparkle. “I’m sorry, Hyung. I’m just being petty. We—I just really miss you.” Jungkook said after a few seconds of tense silence.

“I’m sorry too, guys,” Taehyung said before sighing deeply. He looked away from the screen and Jin could see the frustration radiating off him. He was ready to comfort him when Taehyung turned to the screen and spoke again.

Aish, jjenjang. This was supposed to be a surprise but I might as well tell you now. I’ll be home for dinner tomorrow night. The director said that all my scenes tomorrow are to be shot in broad daylight so it means I could leave the set early and go home,” Taehyung said cheerily.

Everyone brightened up instantly with Tae’s statement and found themselves smiling. “Ya! You really promise?” Hobi asked eagerly, eyes shining with excitement.

“Yes! I really, really, reaaally promise, hyung! I’ll be there!” Taehyung nodded his head eagerly and smiled brightly.

As they were about to say more, a knock came from the door behind Taehyung. “Taehyung-ssi, you are now needed in the set,” a female crew said after the knock. “I’ll be there in a minute!” Taehyung shouted back.

Taehyung looked apologetically in front of him but the members just smiled encouragingly at him.

“Go get them, kid. We’ll see you tomorrow. Don’t push yourself too much,” Yoongi softly said.

“We’ll be waiting for you, Tae. Fighting!” Namjoon said encouragingly, his fists raised and smiled at him

Taehyung did an aegyo and waved at them for the last before clicking the ‘end call’ button.

“Is he not home yet?” Jimin said, breaking Jin out of his reverie.

Jin approached him and ruffled his hair fondly. “Hey Chimchim, slept well from your nap?” Jimin rubbed his eyes first to get rid of the remnants of sleep before smiling softly at Jin and nodding. “Is TaeTae not home yet?”

Jin smiled brightly at him before continuing putting the plates on their dining table, “I’m sure he’s on his way.” Jimin simply hummed in agreement and nodded. “You want help, hyung?”

Jin looked at him curiously and cocked his head to one side. “You really want to help me now? The kitchen was suspiciously covered with flour after you offered your help and I let you.”

Jimin smiled guiltily and swept his hand through his pink hair. “Wonder how that happened, hyung. I’m just gonna go bother Yoongi-hyung now.”

Aish, this kid. Jin thought fondly.

Jin continued preparing the table until he heard a loud thud followed by an irritated voice.

“Yaaaa! JIMIN GIVE IT BACK TO ME!”

Jin smiled to himself and shook his head lightly as he now put the dishes on the table. He glanced again at the clock on the wall and tried to suppress his excitement in seeing again his favorite (don’t tell Jimin or Jungkook) dongsaeng.

Just like how Jin knew each one of his dongsaengs, he also knew that Taehyung was never one to be late and broke his promise. He knew how much the concept of making promises is important to the younger. Once Taehyung gave his word, he would do his best to keep and fulfill that promise.

Just another hour and he will be here with us. Jin smiled to himself.

A few minutes later and Jin finally finished preparing their dinner. As he looked at the appetizing site of an array of traditional Korean meals in the table, he could not help but smile proudly at himself. He can almost imagine hearing Taehyung’s sincere compliments and thanks while he devours (as cute as he may be, he is a growing boy and as such, eats like a growing boy) his favorite japchae.

His thoughts were broken by a wild scream behind him courtesy of their maknae.

“FOOD!” Jungkook yelled as if he was going to war and was about to face a thousand Spartans.

Aish, Taehyung-ah is rubbing off of him.

As Jungkook was about to take a piece of meat of the table, Jin immediately patted his hands softly and fixed a half-hearted glare on him, “We’ll wait for Taehyung, Kookie.”

The maknae grinned sheepishly and apologized before going back to Jimin who is snickering at the younger’s poor attempt at getting food and telling him, “Told you he wouldn’t let you.”

Just as Jin was about to check his phone for any texts from Taehyung, a knock came from their front door, startling everyone in the dorm.

Everyone has their own copy of keys so they don’t usually bother to knock. Their manager, Sejin-hyung, rarely comes to their dorm and even if it was the case, he would always text any of the members first, same with their other managers and trusted staffs. They have no neighbors and besides the BigHit trusted inner core, nobody knows where they live, not even their own family.

Therefore, everyone is on edge and was wary of the person who was outside of their front door.

Is it a saesang? Paparazzi? Did someone tailedus?

Namjoon, on with his leader persona, immediately ordered the two youngest in the room to turn off the television and told Hoseok to stay with the two. Yoongi and Jin, on the other hand, gripped their cellphones and have their manager and the police numbers already dialed and ready to call.

Just as Namjoon was about to look at the peephole in the door, they heard a familiar giggle on the other side of the door.

“Please don’t call the cops on me, hyung.”

Everyone let out a relieved chuckle before opening the front door. They were welcomed with a sight of Taehyung, clad with a thick, black coat, a black beret, and a black facemask. Though they can’t see his mouth, his twinkling eyes were enough proof that underneath the mask, his box-shaped smile was in place.

“Taehyungie!” Jimin all but screeched before dashing past Namjoon and hugging the younger. The younger stumbled back and let out a giggle that everyone, even though Yoongi wouldn’t admit it, definitely missed.

They ushered him inside and after Taehyung has already removed his coat and beret, Yoongi ruffled Taehyung’s hair affectionately. “Ya, you scared us, brat. What happened to your keys?”

Before the younger could reply, he let out a wet cough before lowering his facemask before smiling sheepishly. “Sorry, I forgot my keys in my room,” Taehyung replied, his voice a little bit hoarse. The younger wanted to explain more but he was interrupted again by involuntary coughs coming from himself.

Hyung instincts kicking in, Seokjin frowned before sauntering forward towards Taehyung. He was about to feel the younger’s forehead but the younger gently brushed his hands away. “I’m fine, Hyung. Just a little bit tired.”

Jin looked at him warily before replying, “Are you sure?”

The younger nodded enthusiastically before saying, “Yes! So what’s for dinner?”

At the mention of food, Jungkook, who was already eyeing the food earlier, grabbed Taehyung by his arms and dragged him to the dining room. Everyone immediately followed the two youngest, eager to eat and hear stories from Taehyung.

Jin was left by the front door as he watched Taehyung’s retreating back cautiously. He was so focused on observing the younger’s action that he wasn’t even aware that Namjoon did not follow the others and instead is watching him curiously.

“Hyung, he’s fine. Common’ let’s go eat,” Namjoon reassured with a dimpled smile before walking away.

Seokjin sighed before looking again at Taehyung who was now laughing and goofing around with Jimin and Hobi.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid.

Dinner was wild and joyful as usual, maybe as twice as loud compared the past few days now that they are finally complete.

Jimin and Jungkook, finally happy that the maknae line was complete, filled in Taehyung with the events that happened when he was not in the dorm. Namjoon was unusually quiet, but Jin knew that it was mainly because he was afraid for the 2/3 of the maknae to divulge the case last week wherein he accidentally stepped on Taehyung’s favorite plushie and dirtied it on the process. Jin snickered in thought of Taehyung finding out because while the younger may be sunshine and rainbows, he was deeply possessive of his plushies, especially the one from his grandma. Sure, Taehyung doesn’t really get angry, but he gets all pouty and petulant and puppy dog eyes that you simply can’t resist what he will ask.

(One time the kid asked Namjoon for a cotton candy in the middle of the night as compensation for breaking his favorite sunglasses. The request sounds ridiculous and it’s against their diet regime but no one has the heart to disagree with Taehyung not when he’s all puppy eyes and cute smiles.)

As if the said suspect read his thoughts, Namjoon shook his head as subtly as possible, to which Jin replied with a smirk. Meanwhile, Hobi was listening intently with the youngers’ tale, adding a sentence or two every now and then, and then bursting into laughter while Yoongi…

Yoongi was extremely quiet.

Of course, Jin is used to his quietness for he is just like that, opting to observe rather than to participate. The rapper tends to simply chuckle or scowl to their statements rather than voicing his thoughts out loud but now, Yoongi was not even smirking or laughing along with the stories of Jimin and Jungkook, he was deeply fixated in watching Taehyung and his movements.

As Jin was about to ask him what’s wrong, Yoongi spoke, “Are you okay, Taehyung?”

Silence ensued after Yoongi’s question. Everyone turned their eyes to the younger, who looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Now that there is proper lighting, Jin noticed that the bags under the younger’s eyes were more prominent and that the younger lost weight, probably a kilo or two. “Why wouldn’t I be, hyung?” Taehyung said, showing his boxed-shaped smile.

It would have been reassuring some other time, but everyone noticed how the smile didn’t reach his eyes.

Noticing that everyone’s attention is now on him, Taehyung smiled even more and waved his hands in a dismissive way, “Really I am! I am fine.”

“Are you?” Yoongi asked back while the rest of Bangtan was silently watching the exchange of the two.

“Of course, Hyung!”

“Then why are you not eating well? You know that we know that by now you are on your second serving, but look at you now, you barely touched your food.”

Taehyung immediately dropped the spoon he was holding onto his plate with a loud clang. Everyone took notice how the younger’s shoulder slumped and looked he was caught red-handed.

“Taehyungie,” Jimin said gently, “Are you really okay?”

When the younger was about to open this mouth and nod, Yoongi sighed and called the attention of the younger, “Taehyung-ah. Please tell the truth.

Contrary to popular belief, Taehyung and Yoongi have a relationship incomparable to theirs. Everyone knows how tightly knitted the brother-sibling relationship of the Daegu Line—probably as warm and close as Jimin and Taehyung’s relationship. All of them knew of Yoongi’s protectiveness and fondness towards the younger and of Taehyung’s adoration and respect towards the older so when Yoongi called out Taehyung’s name, it was no surprise that Taehyung immediately stopped talking and how his walls slowly came crumbling down.

Noticing the older’s steeled but concern gaze, Taehyung shuffled nervously on his seat and focused on looking at his fingers on his lap.

Dinner long since forgotten, Jin directed his gaze to Jimin, who was sitting beside Taehyung by the table and silently communicated with him through his eyes for them to trade seats so that he may talk with Taehyung. After a half a minute, comprehension fully dawned on Jimin and he stood up as silently as possible as to not alert Taehyung while Jin flashed him a grateful smile and immediately sat down beside Taehyung.

“Tae...,” Jin said, ran his hand on the younger’s arm in a calming and soothing manner, “baby, what’s wrong?”

Silent sniffles answered Jin’s question and everyone watched as Taehyung shakily stood up from his seat. Focusing his gaze on the floor. “I’m going to bed,” he said in an uneven voice.

Just as he was about to leave, Jin grabbed his arm, “Ya, Kim Taehyung,”

Please, hyung,” Taehyung replied in a broken and hoarse voice that it made everyone’s hearts clench painfully.

Having no choice left, Jin released his grip on Taehyung and the younger all but ran to his room.

Just like how Jin knew that Taehyung was never one to be late and broke his promise, he also knew that Taehyung, while being the sunshine that he is, keeps everything bottled up to himself, building walls when it comes to his personal problems.

Jin just sighed and ran a hand over his face.

“Taehyungie?”

After the fiasco at the dinner table, Jimin volunteered to talk to the younger and after gaining the approval of his hyungs, he immediatel'y went to the younger’s room. Opening and closing the door as silently as possible, his vision focused on the figure sitting quietly on one of the corners of the bed. “Taehyungie?” Jimin called out again.

Noticing the presence of the older, Taehyung tried to discreetly wipe his tears away with his hands. However, this action did not go unnoticed by the older, immediately rushing to Taehyung and kneeling in front of him when he saw Taehyung doing it.

“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” Jimin asked gently but the younger just shook his head while still trying to wipe the flowing stream of tears coming from his eyes.

Jimin grabbed both of his hands and focused his gaze on the younger. “Talk to me, Taehyung. Tell me what’s wrong so hyung can fix it,” he said, gripping the younger’s hand in a calming way.

Taehyung shook his head again and angrily wiped his tears away, “I-I’m f-fine. W-why won’t the—these… w-why ca-can’t I stop cr-crying? I-I’m su-stupid.” Taehyung said in between breaths while still wiping his face angrily.

Jimin’s heart broke at the sight and he immediately stood up and sat beside the younger. “You’re not stupid. Look—Look at me Taehyung.” The younger paused momentarily in wiping his tears and instead fixed his bloodshot eyes on the older. “Talk to me, Tae. What’s wrong?”

At that, another batch of tears made it’s way to Taehyung’s eyes and hung his head in a defeated manner. “E-everything.”

Jimin hugged him fiercely and Taehyung broke down completely, burrowing his face on the elder's shoulder. “Oh, Tae. It’s okay, I’m here. Hyung is here,” Jimin said, trying not to cry himself. Out of all seven of them, it was Taehyung who rarely cried— even rarely than Yoongi. He has his days, of course, but he was never one to cry. So seeing his best friend like this in such state, Jimin’s heart ached at how long the younger might be bottling all of his problems.

Taehyung immediately pushed Jimin gently and tried to run outside the room.

“Taehyung-ah!” Jimin stood up immediately and grabbed the younger’s arm.

“Ji-Jimin let go…gonna be…sick…”

Supporting Taehyung by his shoulders, Jimin immediately rushed Taehyung outside of the room. Ignoring the panicked calls of their names from the other members, Jimin and Taehyung proceeded to the bathroom. After opening the door, Taehyung dislodged himself from Jimin and double over at the toilet, emptying his stomach of its contents.

Jimin ran soothing circles behind the younger’s back and just as he was about to call one of the members, Jin and Yoongi came rushing inside the bathroom.

After vomiting, Taehyung cried and buried his head on Jimin’s shoulder, increasing even more the panic of the other three. Noticing that Jimin was also about to cry, Yoongi sat beside Taehyung’s other side and slowly grabbed Taehyung’s crying form from Jimin’s chest to rest on his own. “Taehyung-ah, what’s wrong?” Daegu accent heavily thickening his statement.

“Hyung…I ju—just want it to st—stop. It…it hurts.” Taehyung choked out, sobs escaping from his lips. Yoongi withdrew a little bit from the hug to wipe the younger’s tears away with the sleeves of his sweaters. “What’s hurting, Tae? Can you tell hyung?”

“Ev-everything h-hurts,” sobs coming from his mouth wrecking his frame, “Pl-please make it stop. I—I ca-can’t breathe.”

Jin, who just came back after escorting Jimin to the living room and ordering Hobi and Namjoon to watch the remaining two of the maknae line, sat beside Yoongi and rubbed Taehyung’s back. “Oh, baby, it’s gonna be okay.”

“H—hyung, i—it hurts…so m-much” Taehyung said in a broken voice that Jin resisted the urge to start crying himself.

Yoongi cupped the younger’s cheek and fixed his gaze on him, “It’s okay, we’re here. You need to take deep breaths, Tae.”

Taehyung shook his head fiercely, his form trembling in Yoongi’s arms,“I ca-can’t. I ca-can’t breathe.”

Yoongi wiped the younger’s tears away and ran his hand on Taehyung’s hair. “Crying won’t help, Tae. Can you match your breathing to mine? I need you to inhale for five seconds, okay?”

Taking in a breath slowly, Yoongi watched as Taehyung shakily did the same.

“And exhale,” Yoongi released which Taehyung copied.

“You’re doing good, Tae. Okay, let’s do it again.”

They kept breathing together while Jin rubbed figures on the younger’s back. Both of the older were terrified and were trying to keep their composure. As idols, none of them were foreign to panic and anxiety attacks. However, in the past, none of their own were as bad as the one Taehyung had now. If Taehyung did not calm down the next few minutes, they have no other choice but to rush him to the hospital.

As if someone heard their distress, Taehyung started to calm down. His sobs were reduced to sniffles and his posture stopped shaking. Grabbing Taehyung’s trembling hands, Yoongi smiled shakily at him and hugged the younger briefly.

“You’re okay, you’re okay. We got you,” Yoongi said, rubbing the younger’s back. Yoongi withdrew from the hug and wiped the stray tears on the younger’s face.

“Think you can stand now, Tae?”

The younger nodded meekly and tried to push himself off the floor, though he falls down again on Yoongi’s form.

With the help of Jin, Taehyung is finally able to stand up with his arms both supported by Jin and Yoongi on his either side. Taehyung walked out of the bathroom with his head hung low as he takes slow and uneven breaths while letting Jin and Yoongi support his weight.

Taking notice of the trio’s coming form, Jimin and Jungkook immediately stood up from the couch to make way for Taehyung’s form. Jin and Yoongi supported him to the couch and gently let him flop down into it.

Jimin and Jungkook who were watching the scene unfold, have tears streaming down their face and if it wasn’t for Hobi’s presence, Jin was worried the two of them will have their own panic attacks as well.

Namjoon, seeing Taehyung’s form, knelt down in front of him and grabbed his hands. “Hey bud, you okay?” He asked while his other hand was ruffling the younger’s hair calmingly and touching the younger’s forehead.

Taehyung leaned into the touch and nodded meekly while Namjoon smiled weakly, “That’s good, Tae. That’s good.”

Directing his gaze to Taehyung’s side, Namjoon locked eyes with Jin, “Could you please get a spare shirt and cold medicine for Tae? He’s a little bit warm.”

As Jin was about to stand up, the maknae immediately did, “I’ll do it,” he said before running to Taehyung’s room to get a shirt.

Namjoon focused his attention again on Taehyung, who was now silent and was refusing to meet anyone’s gaze. “Wanna talk about it, bud?”

Yoongi, who was listening to the whole exchange, growled warningly to Namjoon, “Namjoon, we just managed to calm him down. It can wai—“

“It’s okay, hyung. I’m okay.” Taehyung said in a whisper. He finally looked up from his lap to send a small smile to Yoongi. “I’m okay.”

Jungkook came rushing back and gave Namjoon one of Taehyung’s shirt and one tablet of cold medicine. Meanwhile, Hobi came back from the kitchen after with a glass of water and gave it to Taehyung.

“Drink first your medicine then change your shirt, okay? Then we’ll talk.”

Taehyung nodded meekly and took the medicine from Namjoon with shaky hands. After drinking the medicine, Jin helped Taehyung changed his soaked shirt with the new shirt Jungkook gave earlier. (It’s not like it’s a big deal, BTS often change in front of each other)

“You okay now?” Yoongi said, satoori lacing his words, “We don’t have to talk it about now if you don’t want want to.”

Taehyung shook his head and glanced momentarily at Yoongi before focusing his gaze on his lap. “I don’t know where to start,” Taehyung said in a broken voice.

“That’s okay, Taehyungie. Start from the beginning,” Jimin said, drawing soothing figures on the younger’s knees.

Taehyung took a shaky breath and fiddled with his hands. By now, everyone was prepared to listen to their dongsaeng’s tale. Jimin, Jungkook, and Hobi were sitting on the floor in front of Taehyung while Jin, Yoongi and Namjoon were flanking him by the couch he was sitting.

“I—Everything’s wrong. When I was shooting at Hwarang, I would sometimes forget the lines and would have to retake the scene over and over again. I want to---I tried my best but whenever the camera starts rolling, my mind would come with a blank. A—and…” Taehyung clenched and unclenched his fists, trying to stop himself from crying again. Noticing the action, Yoongi grabbed own of his hand and intertwined it with his own. Taehyung smiled shakily at him before sighing and looking at his lap again.

“Everything’s not right a—and I feel everything I’m doing is not enough. I can see some of the staff in the shoot groaning in annoyance whenever we have to retake again because my satoori was seeping through the lines. And I would spend the nights practicing the lines and our dance routines but even then—sometimes I would not get the routine an—and…I can hear their whispers an—and,” Taehyung wiped his tears with his free hand and tried to control his breathing.

“Hey, it’s okay. Baby, it’s okay,” Jin said, running his hand on the younger’s back.

“Then—they said that I—I just am a pretty face and that I am useless that I sho—should just leave the group. I watched the fancams wi—without me and the comments are saying that you—you guys are better off without me and I—want to come home early so bad but I’m so—embarrassed and afraid of disappointing you bu—but I failed. I’m so—sorry. I—It’s okay if you hate me…I’m so—sorry,” Taehyung’s shoulders were shaking from the sobs coming from his body and everyone is on the verge of tears themselves.

Jimin, despite the tears blurring his vision, grabbed one of Taehyung’s hand and gripped it tightly, “Ya, look at me,” he ordered weakly.

Taehyung wiped his tears and focused his bloodshot eyes on the older. “Pabo, how can we hate you? You were always telling me to ignore the bad and focus on the good—maybe you should follow your advice. No matter what they say, we love you, okay?” Jimin said through his tears.

“Hyung, it’s okay. You were always there for me—I am here for you. You don’t have to do this alone, hyung,” Jungkook said, putting on a brave face for the older.

“You’re our hope, Taehyungie. You’re important to us. There’s no Bangtan without you,” Hobi said from the floor.

Taehyung immediately went to Hobi’s waiting arms and cried on the older’s shoulders, mumbling apologies and thank you’s while Jungkook and Jimin tried to console him on his either side. Namjoon watched the interaction of the four on the floor and sighed. It dawned to him that despite being worldwide famous idols, Taehyung—all of them—were still so young. He kneeled beside them on the floor and grabbed Taehyung’s shoulder, “Look at me, Taehyung.”

The younger looked up from Hobi’s damp shoulder and locked gazes with Namjoon’s, “We can’t fix it for you, but we’re here to give you support. We’ll always be here for you but you have to let us help you, okay? You have to tell us what’s wrong so we can help you. No more secrets next time, okay?”

Taehyung nodded meekly and Namjoon smiled before ruffling the younger’s hair, “Good, no more tears, okay? Can you smile for us, Taehyungie,”

Taehyung smiled shakily and Jimin awed loudly, “Aigoo, our Taehyungie is so handsome, right hyung?”

Hobi laughed and withdrew from the hug, “Ya, you’re right, Jimin, so, so handsome,” he said while pinching both of the younger’s cheeks.

Taehyung laughed and pushed the hands of the older from his face, “Hyung!”

Hobi laughed and wiped the stray tears from the younger’s face, “Now that’s our Taehyungie. You okay now?”

Taehyung nodded while smiling brightly before he coughed loudly. Hyung instincts kicking in, Jin knelt down on the floor and removed Hobi’s hands from

Taehyung, “Ya, common’ it’s time for bed. You should rest now. You can sleep in my room. Let’s go,” Jin said while supporting Taehyung’s from standing up from the floor.

With that, the maknae abruptly stood up and blocked Jin’s path to the older’s bedroom, “Eh?! I want to sleep with hyung!”

Hearing Jungkook’s statement, Jimin abruptly stood up and ran to Jungkook’s side while almost tripping in the process. “Me too! I want to sleep with TaeTae!” Jimin proclaimed loudly with his arms crossed.

Hobi laughed loudly from behind them and rushed to Jimin and Jungkook and putting his arms on each shoulder of the two, “Count me in!”

Jin sighed fondly and looked at Yoongi and Namjoon, who was watching the scene with an amused look while sitting on the couch, “And you two?”

Yoongi only smirked with his eyes twinkling mischievously while Namjoon flashed his dimples.

Aish, jjenjang.

Needless to say that that night, Jin found himself in Namjoon’s bed (who was slightly bigger than theirs since their leader always falls off the bed—don’t ask) tangled in multiple limbs while they slept and hugged Taehyung.

And if Jin’s heart clenched in adoration while he watched the others sleep cutely while snuggling Taehyung, who was sleeping peacefully with a smile on his face, no one has to know.
