meeting his family after he proposed to you (requested)

The sun cast a golden hue across the sprawling countryside as you adjusted the hem of your dress for probably the tenth time. Your heart pounded in your chest as the significance of the day ahead weighed on your shoulders.

A week had passed since Jin proposed, a week filled with joy and anticipation, but now, as you approached his family's estate, you couldn't help but feel a new wave of nerves wash over you.

Jin reached over, his hand finding yours, offering a squeeze of reassurance.
"You look beautiful, darling," he said softly, his voice laced with a mixture of awe and tenderness.

You offered a soft smile, your gaze shifting from the emerald green fields to Jin's reassuring soft brown eyes. "Thank you," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. Taking a deep breath, you tried to steady yourself. "I just want everything to be perfect today, I want to appear perfect today."

"They're going to love you, darling," Jin assured you, his thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of your hand. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I'm sure my family will see that too."

His words, though tender and comforting, did little to ease the jittery butterflies fluttering in your stomach. The car slowed down as you and Jin entered the grand entrance of the estate, an elegant manor surrounded by carefully maintained gardens. A cobblestone pathway led to the entrance, where Jin's family awaited.

You took a moment to compose yourself. Smothering your dress one last time, you took a deep breath, steeling yourself for what lay ahead. Jin's hand remained in yours, a constant anchoring to you amidst the turmoil of emotions.

The grand front door swung open as the two of you approached, revealing a tall woman with brown eyes and a sparkling twinkle in her eyes, whom you knew from the family pictures was Jin's mother. Her face bore the most radiant Asian features, and her hair with slight streaks of silver, was elegantly pinned back. You remembered how Jin had once mentioned to you that his mother was a former Miss Korea, and having her stand in all her elegance right in front of you, you couldn't doubt his words.

"You must be Y/N," the woman said, stepping forward with outstretched arms. "I'm Eun-jin, Seokjin's mother."

You felt a rush of relief at the genuine warmth in Eun-jin's voice and eyes. You accepted the hug, feeling a comforting fragrance of jasmine dance under your nose.

"It's so lovely to meet you, Mrs. Kim," you said, your voice a mix of nerves but filled with sincerity.

"Please, call me Eun-jin," she insisted, pulling back to look at you with a kind gaze. "We're so thrilled to finally meet the woman who's stolen our Seokjin's heart."

Jin's father, Kim Nam Jung, appeared in the doorway next, a tall man with a distinguished air and a firm handshake. His eyes twinkled with a mixture of curiosity and approval as he greeted you. "Welcome to our home, Y/N. We've heard so much about you."

You felt your cheeks flush as you returned his handshake, grateful for the warmth and acceptance you felt from Jin's family. They led you inside, with you being awestruck by the grandeur of the manor's interior.

The house was a blend of traditional Korean charm and modern elegance, with high ceilings, intricate moldings, and a stunning array of family portraits adorning the walls.

Eun-jin gestured for you and Jin to sit on the plush sofas arranged around a low coffee table adorned with fresh flowers. You perched on the edge of the seat, making sure to keep your back straight at all times, while your fingers nervously traced the edge of a cushion.

As everyone settled in, a lively figure bounced into the room, his presence filling the space with an infectious energy. "Hey, little bro!" he exclaimed, his eyes alight with kindness and mischief. "And this must be Y/N!"

Jin chuckled, rising from his seat to hug the newcomer before turning to you. "Darling, this is my older brother, Seok-Joong," he said, introducing him with a playful roll of his eyes.

Seok-Joong grinned, his dark eyes sparkling with amusement as he shook your hand. "It's so good to finally meet you!" he said, his voice cheerful and light. "Seokjinnie's been keeping you all to himself for too long."

You found yourself laughing despite your nerves, Seok-Joong's vibrant personality a warm distraction. "It's wonderful to meet you too, Seok-Joong," you replied, feeling a bit more at ease.

As everyone chatted, Eun-Jin brought out a tray of tea and an assortment of delicate pastries. The aroma of freshly brewed tea mingled with the sweet scent of baked goods creating an inviting ambiance.

Jin's family engaged you in conversation, their questions, and comments filled with genuine interest and curiosity. They asked about your life, your interests, and of course, your relationship with Jin.

"You know, Y/N dear," Eun-Jin said. "I've always been a little worried about our Seokjinnie here. With him being an infamous worldwide star and all, I was worried that it would be difficult for him to find a girl who would love him for him. Not for his fame, looks, or wealth. But then you came around and made all of that possible, Y/N. Just hearing the sheer joy in his voice as he talks to me about you on the phone, and knowing that my son is taken good care of. You have no idea how much that means to a mother's heart."

Jin sat beside you, his hand resting on your knee offering you silent reassurance. He smiled and listened to the conversation, his eyes mirroring the deep affection for both his family and the woman he loved.

As the afternoon wore on, the initial nerves you felt began to dissipate. The Kim family's warmness enveloped you and succeeded in creating a sense of belonging within you. The conversation flowed effortlessly with laughter and shared stories.

After tea, Eun-Jin suggested a walk through the gardens which you accepted with a sense of eagerness. The gardens bloomed with generations of care and dedication, and you couldn't help but marvel at the array of colors and scents.

Jin walked beside you, his fingers entwined with yours as the two of you strolled through the gardens. "I told you they'd love you," he murmured, his voice softly reassuring in your ear.

Glancing up at him, your heart swelled with affection and gratitude. "I was so nervous," you admitted shyly. "But your family is so wonderful."

Jin's smile grew even wider, his eyes crinkling at the corners with affection. "I knew they would be," he said, his tone filled with a silent certainty. "They can see how much I love you, how happy you make me. That's all that matters to them."

The two of you came to a pause beside a blossoming rose bush, its petals a vibrant shades of crimson and blush. Jin plucked a rose before handing it to you.

"For you," he said softly, his gaze locked with yours. "A symbol of the love and beauty you bring into my life."

You accepted the rose, your fingers brushing against his as you took it. Your eyes shimmered with a love so intense that it left you breathless.

"I love you, Jin," you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion. "Thank you for this, for everything."

Jin's arms encircled you, pulling you close against his chest as he pressed a tender kiss to your forehead. "I love you more, darling," he murmured against your skin. "And I can't wait to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much."

Surrounded by the love and acceptance of Jin's family, you felt a deep sense of belonging settle over you.

And in that moment, you knew that you had found your home in Jin and in the family that welcomed you with open arms and hearts full of love.
