Yoongi Imagine: Turtle's Life

Requested by: -AgustDead-

Scenario: What if you and him had been born turtles looking to live every day even just a little on the edge. Waddling happily, eating with one another, and protecting each other from birds, snakes and other predators? Seemed like the life of any other turtle, both of you being happy in so many ways, until a small shooting start hit both of you two's shells, a shooting start that had inside a little more then a little sparkle with it.

Rated: Fluff

🐨In memory of our sweet Minwoo, 100%s leader and great friend to his members.

Rest In Peace my sweet Minwoo

◆◇◆◇◆

You woke up slowly, the sun of the swamp hitting your forehead as you removed the small strands of hair from your cheek where it had clung onto when you stood up.

“Yoongi!” you yelled, shaking the body that laid on the floor next to your feet.

There he was, the companion you had meet since you were a small baby, someone you followed everywhere, and anywhere for the fast months like a little lost soul.

He seemed different, both of you guys did.

You had what the humans had.

Long limbs, no she'll, and this weird fur that they called hair.

His hair was slung over to one side, his bare chest and hardly covered lower half didn't seem different or in anyway out of the ordinary, but to whom ever passed by that old swap, you would have looked like two drunk 20 year old who had just a bit too much 'fun' the night before.

But to you, who knew nothing about the embarrassment that your almost completely naked bodies brought, it was simply a weird phenomenon.

After several minutes of nudging him with you foot, he woke up and became just as puzzled as you, his eyes wandering around your and his own body.

"What the?!" He questioned, his slender pale hands roaming the curvature of his own stomach and chest before reaching his back in search of his shell.

You shrugged, just as bewildered as him, and looked away, in the direction of a small ruffle you had heard earlier.

There, between the leaves of a bush, was the old lady who often gave you two food or would cover you guys when the swamp became flooded, the same old lady who had seen you two transform into what you were now.

Humans.

~

Before you could even process anything, a day had turned into six months, both you and Yoongi staying over with the old lady and pretending to be her niece and her boyfriend when people came over and asked.

She was a lonely woman, with no family who cared about her or even bothered to visit.

Funny how she called you such a word, a word that represented the love you two had for one another.

A couple.

You found it heart aching, every time her neighbors would come and ask you about one another and she responded with “they're a couple.”

But you said nothing, and neither did Yoongi.

He enjoyed being by your side, trying new foods, listening to music, and taking pictures of the places you two visited.

The small house felt like your she'll, cozy and protective, a place you could run to whenever you felt as if you were in danger.

Yoongi found it cute, seeing you squirm around in a dress with slippers the old lady had bought for you to celebrate you guys arrival to her home.

Yoongi had been given a camera, one he liked keeping at his side when he went to bed.

The old lady was kind enough to help you learn things about the outside world, the country you were in, math, reading, and writing.

It wasn't long until the months had become inti years together.

3 to be exact.

The old lady had sold her home in exchange for a two bedroom apartment in the city, and then enrolled both of you in college.

You and him had both made friends, and as if by mad magic, drifted apart. He would get home late, saying he'd been taking pictures of the city, and you?

You wouldn't even go home sometimes, preferring the nights out in the city watching flowers bloom or hanging out with the friends from you campus.

It wasn't until the old lady died that you two came together again, saying goodbye to who had become both of y'alls mentor and almost parent.

~

You both walked home quietly from what seemed like an uneventful evening, the house empty once you arrived.

You hated the silence, and wished to be able to return into the house you had shared years prior. That, or return to your turtle form so that you could hide in your shell and cry.

It was lonely without her there.

“Well, this isn't gonna be something we easily get use to,” Yoongi mumbled, sitting himself down in the kitchen’s dining table while going through a newspaper.

You nodded in agreement, feeling shy all of a sudden with him.

You both hadn't held a conversation in so long, that having him here speaking to you was both awkward and heart racing.

Where to even begin?

Had he been eating? How was school for him? Did he miss you? How many new pictures had he taken? Did he still care for you?

You certainly missed him, you certainly cared for him, and you certainly loved him.

“I mean how hard is it to text?” You asked yourself, realizing both of you guys had each other's phone numbers but seemed to never use it.

“I… I missed you Y/N,” Yoongi finally pushed out, putting down his newspaper momentarily to look up at you.

You stood there quietly, still in search for what to say, moving your hair to one side in hopes of keeping your blush hidden from his meticulous eyes.

“I-”

“We should look for some new apartments. It'll reduce the cost if we only have a one bedroom apartment, unless you want separate rooms?” He offered, looking back down at his paper which he had laid flat on the table.

You shook your head, moving forward to circle your arms around his neck and hug him tightly.

“I missed you Yoongs, I miss her,” you cried out, your face hiding in the nook of his cold neck, his hair tickling your nose while the sent of nutmeg and colonel filled your nostrils.

He placed his hands on your arms, stroking them with a sweet and steady pace, comforting you while simultaneously humming a melow and gentle tune.

“Y/N… It's okay. We still have each other. We can get through this,” his mumbled, getting up from the chair to turn around and hug you.

You cried on his shoulder for hours, letting him pet your hair and carry you to your room to sleep, his body still laying next to you when you woke up.

He smiled at you kissing your forehead gently again and again while pulling you into his chest tightly.

“Y/N… How about we go sight seeing this summer?” he cheered, hopping to make you smile.

“I saved enough money so that over this summer we can go visit the beaches if that's okay with you,” he mumbled, petting your hair slowly.

“Can we really? I always wanted to see the beach!” You smiled.

~

The day finally came, both of you hand in hand walking around the airport like little small curious puppies.

You loved seeing him so happy, his posture a complete 360° from the one you had seen the day your “aunt” had died.

Around his neck slung his camera, his eyes sparkling every time he saw something new, to which he'd take the camera and snap a picture.

Hw wanted as many memories at your side so that the connection that had been lost during college could be made up.

“Ohh ohh! Stay still Y/N! I what to take a picture of you there!” He called out excited, making you pose awkwardly in front of a light post.

He seemed so much more lively, and you could remember everything you two had been through as turtles and now humans.

Facing off against the snake that had once tried to eat you two, the current that almost drowned you, having to learn how to eat human food and how to walk properly.

Those challenge you two had faced with one another and no one else.

How he comforted you when you cried at night from the scary nightmares.

He had been there smiling at you brightly, and scolding you for having dumb decisions.

You finally reached the beach you two had gone there to see, your mind finally snapping back from the thoughts you were having.

“And here it is,” he proclaimed, looking very pleased with himself for having been able to navigate there without asking a single person for directions.

“Wow… it's..”

“Breathtaking?” He finished for you.

You nodded, taking in the view of the crashing waves and sunset.

It was beyond beautiful.

The first time you had mentioned the beach to Yoongi, him and you had gone on a six hour Google search for beaches and the images themselves had had you falling in love with them.

Now that you were actually there, you felt like if you we're in heaven, your heart pounding loudly as both of you took of your shoes and socks to walk on the doones.

The setting sun shone light on the ground, his hand holding yours in a tight grip, his thumb lightly massaging the back of your hand.

“Let's stay like this forever Y/N,” he offered, his face becoming illuminated with small strands of the sun’s rays.

“Let’s live a turtle's life. Slow and steady, taking it day by day,” he added.

“I couldn’t agree more.”

Both of you continued to walk down the beach footprints left in the sans fading slowly with each wave that came in.

"This will be our forever," you thought, looking up at the sky before inhaling the salty air.

"Just you and me jagiya," he whispered, before leaning in for a sweet and gentle kiss.
