P: Jungkook x Reader

You wrapped yourself with a blanket, walking out to look at Jungkook who was having the time of his life decorating the apartment.

He had been up early, hanging christmas lights all over the door of your apartment and some ornaments around your window and door.

It was cute seeing him so cheerful, his bunny teeth sticking out as he giggled from excitement.

"Look jagiya! Look! I put a star at the top of our doorway!" He cheered joyfully as he pointed up at the door, jumping happily when you looked around at his work of art.

There he was again, acting like a 5 year old during Christmas.

"Jungkook, it's 5am... Was it really necessary to wake up this early to put the decorations up?" You asked, a huge sneeze catching both of you off guard.

"Bless you, and yes. Last year we didn't put any up and I was so excited last night that I simply couldn't sleep!" He said, looking up again at the decorations while contemplating if he had forgotten anything.

You could only smile at him, petting his hair while he continued to admire his work.

It made you remember your first Christmas with him, how you had actually met him at a Christmas party Jin had thrown three years prior.

Time sure flies when you were with him

He looked the same to you know... Happy.. Smiling... So cheerful and full of hope.

"Hey jagiya... Want to go to the mall today? It's not often that I get to stay home, but I want to spend all day with you! How bout that?" He asked, a huge smile on his face.

You smiled back at him, nodding before turning around to go change into something more warm.

Going into your room, you took out a simple sweater and some jeans, going into the kitchen to make both of you some breakfast.

By the time you had finished cooking, Jungkook had finished working on decorating outside.

He came back in shivering, but still with a grin on his face.

"Come sit down and eat Jungkook, well need to wait until it's 9 before the mall opens anyway," you urged, walking to one of the empty chairs in the dining room.

Jungkook nodded, taking a seat across from you to eat.

"I can't believe it's our first official Christmas together," he said while he ate, taking glances at you every chance he got.

"I know... Been a while since we've been together in general," you groaned.

It really had been, since he had been out all most all of December on fanmeets and concerts.

"Well, hopefully we'll get to enjoy every second of it..." He added, finishing his meal quickly.

Maybe it was because you hadn't seen him in so long, but he looked specially handsome that day, his face bright and happy, his voice high pitched and sweet, like bells ringing.

After finishing your meal you both waited it out before going out to the mall.

It would have been closed if you went at 5am, which made you wonder why in hell Jungkook offered to go so early in the day.

That mall was the place you both had shared your first kiss at and your first date, it was special.

You both walked up and down the mall, looking at clothes and gifts through the windows.

The mall was cold, the heaters still off until the next day.

It was a bit inconvenient, but seeing that the place was full of people anyways, you hardly noticed how cold it was unless Jungkook mentioned it.

"Ash, this is so refreshing," he mumbled, looking straight forward as you walked.

He had put on a coat, something you wished you had done but regretted not doing.

Your hands were in your pocket, minding their own business until he took one of them and placed it in his coat's pocket.

You looked up at him, wondering what was going on in his mind as you walked.

He simply smiled, again... His cheerful mood becoming a bit suspicious to you.

"Hey look! Is that Santa?!" He yelled, nearly scaring you half to death.

It had all been peaceful until he caught a glimpse of the mall's special guest.

It was the same every year.

The mall usually hired someone to play Santa and talk to the kids, but you guessed since it was the first time he had been to the mall during Christmas, then it must have surprised him.

Still, nothing could have prepared you for what he did next.

"Jungkook, let's go," you grumbled while tugging at his hand.

There you both were, standing smack down the middle of a line of kids, Jungkook's eyes bright as he stared at "Santa".

It was ridiculous that a grown man wanted to sit on an old man's lap just to tell him what he wanted for Christmas.

What was more ridiculous was that that man was your boyfriend.

"Jungkook, common."

"No jagiya! It's okay, let's just go talk to Santa."

You wanted to be swallowed by the ground then and there, as passerbys whispered and pointed at you both.

The line finally shortened, Jungkook going up next while you simply stood behind him.

"Come here jagiya!" He beckoned, pulling your hand until you were standing by his side.

"Ho ho... Oh... Look what we have here. How have you been doing Jungkook?" the old man asked, making you a bit shocked that he knew your boyfriends name.

Then again... He was famous so it shouldn't have come to much of a surprise.

"Is this the young lady you were talking to me about last year?" He asked, confusion g you while Jungkook nodded like an idiot.

"Now my dear, would you please close your eyes?" The old man asked, directing his attention at you.

"Me?" You repeated, pointing at yourself out of confusion.

He nodded, his white beard moving one with his head.

"....okay," you responded, looking at Jungkook puzzled.

He simple nodded urging you to go along with it.

You close your eyes, standing still as you waited for further instructions.

"When you hear the bells jingle, open your eyes my dear," the old man said, and you nodded, waiting patiently for your cue.

There it was, the small jingle of bells.

You opened your eyes, falling back and onto the floor when your eyes caught the most unexpected thing in the world.

Jungkook with a ring in between his fingers one knee on the ground while the other held him up.

"Y/N... Will you marry me?"

❄wow... This one was hard to do... I didn't realize how hard writing at 1 am with writers block would be until I started writing this.

Anyway...
