Summary: You're once again assigned and shipped off with your partner to uncover the truth about the death of three high school females at a boarding school. You're determined to stop the serial killer. However, it becomes a bit difficult when you have to prevent your boyfriend from being so damn horny all of the time. Your boyfriend, who is forced to dress like a high school female student at age 24, you must add. It may seem amusing at first, but the case becomes even more difficult as students continue to get killed right beneath your nose.
Authors note: I had to ask my friend about her experience in boarding school in the last four years, so a lot of info or details comes from her. Obviously this is a fanfic, so not everything is correct, but hopefully, I got a lot right.
Disclaimer: although I do portray some of the characters horribly, that does not mean I dislike them! Please remember this is an ff and the characters in For All Have Sinned does not define the real idols character IRL. Thank you.

The distinct sound of shutters clicking from the camera entered your ears as you stand back with your arms crossed over your chest. With a grunt, you adjust the surgical mask you were handed by Seokjin when he first arrived, the material scratchy against your cheek, your skin turning a light pink from irritation.
Hearing low murmurs, your eyes move to the closed doors of the church, knowing Hoseok stood outside it, speaking to some of the teachers and the principal as he collected information. Inside the church, it was only you, Yoongi, Seokjin, and his team. And of course, the corpse of Ahn Hani.
Your eyes hardened, your lips curling behind your mask as you took in the sight of the body with anger. Not just at the killer but at yourself. You let your guard down, thinking the killer was only targeting the female students. The possibility of a teacher getting killed never crossed your mind. And...
Your fist curls into a ball, your eyes becoming blank. You had known she was missing, but you didn't care. You had let your own personal feelings get involved, and you had dismissed the fact she had mysteriously disappeared thinking she was with another male student... You were careless. You were unprofessional...
With a frown, you step closer to the body, being mindful of Seokjin's crew as they took pictures that may become evidence or clues to finding the killer. Seeing that you were standing behind him, Seokjin turned around, his dark eyebrows furrowed as he snapped some gloves onto his hands.
Seokjin doesn't seem to be bothered at all, which isn't something too unusual seeing as the man spends most of his days with corpses and unusual deaths but... at the same time, a small part of you wished he flinched a bit or at least felt a bit disturbed at the scene that was spread in front of you all.
Ironically, just as that thought went through your head, the man decided to blurt out some unnecessary words. "Do you see how she's dressed? Quite bold of the killer, don't you think?" The older man commented as he carelessly threw you a pair of gloves, you barely catching them before they fell to the floor. You send him a stink eye as hold yourself back from slapping his arm when he wiggles his eyebrows at you, your face twisting in disgust. Yeah, his humor wasn't welcomed right now....
When you look at the crime scene once again, you can't help but feel the shudder run down your back. It was a nightmare, it looked like someone was trying to summon some kind of satanist beast. The woman was crucified, her arms tied with rope to the thick branches that were shaped and built into crosses. You were able to see the way the rope dug into her skin, leaving red streaks on the pale skin, the droplets of blood seeming to leak out. Although she wasn't hung up high, only sitting down in front of the podium with her arms spread wide, her long hair covering her face as well as most of the front of her body, the whole scene reminded you of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ you've seen through various forms of artwork.
Seokjin waves his hand lazily in the air, calling one of his crew members to help get the body to the ground from where she's crucified against the podium. You watch with a grimace as they struggle to untangle the ropes, but when they do, the body slumps forward, Seokjin and the man barely catching the body before it faceplants down the stairs.
But as you get a better look at what she is wearing, you can't help but nod in agreement, thinking back to what your forensic pathologist had mentioned earlier. The corpse of Ahn Hani wore an eye-catching bright red laced lingerie that barely covered the body, most of her skin pale and bare for anyone to see and barely leaving any room for imagination. You eyed the clothes attached to her body with narrowed eyes, wondering why she was explicitly wearing that. After a moment, your mouth opens to speak. "I'm not sure if the killer deliberately dressed her in these clothes or if she had herself," you admit, making Seokjin look at you in alarm after he carefully placed the body to the ground.
"That's going to be something we might find the answer to as I do the autopsy on her later," Seokjin comments as he looks down at the body with a concentrated look. As you lean over his shoulder to take a look, you hold in a gasp, your eyes rounding with shock.
Now that the body of Hani laid on the ground, her limp head was no longer falling forward, allowing all of you to get a good glimpse of her face. Her eyes were closed, and just like usual, her makeup was on point, nothing out of place. Even her bright red lipstick wasn't smudged, painted perfectly on her lips. If you were very honest, she didn't even look dead if you just looked at her face. But if you looked lower... The bleeding wound on her stomach makes bile rise up your throat, you desperately trying to keep down. Your eyes shift back to where she was found initially, finally understanding where the small droplets of blood streaked on the floor and dripping down the stair was coming from.
"My, she was a pretty one," Seokjin comments thoughtlessly, not noticing your discomfort, making your grunt and cross your arms over your chest. You sent him another glare, almost tempted to smack him behind the back of his head but you stop yourself, reminding yourself that he was indeed older than you—although he didn't act like it most of the time. You just grunt in displeasure. The older man openly ignores your reaction and begins the necessary check for his job.
"External injuries on her stomach, a stab wound from what looks like it was caused by a sharp weapon around the width of twenty centimeters," Seokjin speaks loudly, his assistant hurriedly scribbling down what he said. "Quite obvious but rigor mortis faded on the upper body, her fingers are-" Seokjin grunts as he tried to uncurl her left hand that held a stuffed animal. After a moment he's successful, the tall man huffing as he carefully hands you the stuffed animal, "extremely stiff," he finishes with annoyance lacing in his tone. You're able to tell that he scrunched his nose as you see his mask shift.
You eye what you have in your hand with your gaze narrowed, only using your forefinger and thumb to hold it. A pure white lamb stuffed animal... At least it was formerly white but a small area of the stuffed animal soaked up blood, painting a part of it's head and neck crimson. As you observed it carefully, one of Seokjin's workers comes up to you with a polite smile, opening a ziplock bag for you to place the stuffed animal in.
"No discoloration on the lower abdomen and no decomposition yet. Her rectal temperature is the same as the external temperature. " Seokjin speaks as he covers the body with a white cloth, taking off his gloves. He nods at his assistant as he rips his face mask off, you following his action. "Estimate her death in the last eight hours seeing as rigor mortis hasn't begun on her lower body," the man throws his gloves away as he walks to Yoongi who's sat on a bench with his eyes closed and his arms crossed over his chest. Yoongi had claimed that spot even before Seokjin and Hoseok arrived, not seeming to be too bothered that he was in the same room as a corpse as he closed his eyes. If you didn't know him, you would think he was asleep. But seeing that you didn't see his finger twitch like it usually does when he's sleeping, you know he was still awake.
Hearing the older man walking towards him, Yoongi eyelids fluttered open, his lips stretched down into a frown. Your partner only nods at Seokjin as the forensic pathologist takes a seat beside him with a deep sigh.
You, yourself were still deep in thought, staring down at the body that was now covered in the white cloth. Something was not matching up in your mind. But you couldn't tell what...
Hearing a cough, you turn around seeing a bright red-haired man in officer clothes standing by your coworkers. You're slightly taken back by Hoseok's sudden appearance, not noticing when the man had walked in. He must see your look, sending you a small smile and a nod of greeting, something he couldn't do earlier when he first arrived, too swamped with dealing with the teachers and adults. You could quickly tell that the smile doesn't reach his eyes, his expression taking a grimmer look as he took a seat beside the two other males.
"Turns out the principal received an email last night from the victim that there was an emergency at her home concerning family and she needed to go back to the city for a short amount of time. I checked the email, and it definitely said she would come back to camp as soon as everything was resolved, and it wouldn't take long. That's the reason why everyone brushed her disappearance to the side," Hoseok sighs as he rubs his face, stretching his long legs out as he threw his head back. "Fifth victim huh...?"
A silence falls over the four of you, only the sound of rustling coming from Seokjin's team as they cleaned up their supplies entering your ears, some of them still taking pictures around the church or looking for anything that might have been left behind.
"It's possible that the killer had sent that email to the principal using her account to make it seem like it was her," Yoongi comments with his arms crossed over his chest. None of you respond, another silence falling over you as you're all in your individual head thinking about the possibilities.
You have your own eyes closed, thinking about every single detail of all the deaths so far, your mind getting jumbled and messed up.
"So, what's the cause of death?" Hoseok questions as he sat up, placing his elbows on his knees as he leaned forward, his hands getting pressed to his mouth as he eyed Seokjin from the corner of his eye.
Seokjin responded with a scoff, rolling his eyes. "I can't just tell at this stage. I'll have to cut her open and see what's going on the inside. But my guess is the stab wound on her stomach caused her to bleed out and-"
You freeze, your eyes snapping open and moving back to where the body was found, eyeing the droplets of blood on the floor. Small droplets...
"No...." Hearing your voice, the three men look at you in confusion, their eyes widening a fraction as they see that you're on the floor, kneeling beside where the crimson droplets are located, staring down at it. "A human body needs to lose roughly around forty percent of its blood to die through shock... These droplets, there.... No, it isn't enough to have killed her," your words get stronger at the end, lifting your head to meet your gaze with Seokjin who suddenly realize you're right.
The dark-haired man nods as he quickly stands up, rushing to the body once again. "An adult human roughly holds around 1.2 to 1.5 gallons of blood in the body. Y/N's right," Seokjin grunts as he peels back the white covers, looking down at the wound more carefully, "the wound isn't even bleeding that much... This isn't what killed her," as Seokjin spoke, Yoongi and Hoseok get up to their feet, looking down at Ahn Hani's body with a frown.
The forensic pathologist curses under his breath as he nods at you in thanks, "good catch, Y/N. I was careless. When I go back to the lab, I'm going to analyze the stab wound and find out how deep it is and what kind of weapon was used. At this point, I'm thinking of a kitchen knife, seeing the size of the gash but..." Seokjin shakes his head and stands back up, this time not pulling the cover over the corpse.
Hoseok shudders as he looks away, his face scrunching up. "Man, this is creepy. In a church for god's sake, it's supposed to be a holy place. I'm telling you, this killer is sick. You all noticed the stuffed animal they left with her right? What kind of sick person would leave such an innocent-looking child's toy with a dead body they killed? I swear, I'm not going to be able to look at a stuffed animal the same way ever again," the red-haired man whined as he leaned against Yoongi for support. Yoongi's response is to grunt, the sound gruff.
While Yoongi looks annoyed with the extra weight on him, he doesn't push the younger male away. Seeing this, Hoseok grins as he hugs Yoongi, a small happy laugh escaping his lips. A mischievous look spreads in his orbs as he looked at Yoongi, finally seeming to take a better look at your partner.
"Taehyung and Jungkook weren't lying when they said you looked like a cute schoolgirl, hyung. I'm surprised at how well you're able to pull it off," Hoseok chirped in a teasing tone, seeming to not notice how Yoongi's eyes glinted dangerously, his jaws clenching.
It didn't help that Seokjin also broke into laughter, his laugh a high pitched squeak making a smile grow on your face. Yoongi eventually threw Hoseok's arms off his shoulder with a grunt, his eyes narrowed on Hoseok dangerously. Finally seeing Yoongi's anger, Hoseok meeped, taking a step back from the crossed dressed male with his hands up in surrender, a nervous smile spreading across his handsome face.
"Don't make there be two dead bodies in the church, Hobi. I won't hesitate to do it, and Jin-hyung wouldn't even be able to do an autopsy on you because I'll beat you up to pulp till there's nothing left," Yoongi promised darkly, raising his curled fist up to his face.
When Hoseok nodded at him in fear, Yoongi's gaze moved back to the corpse in distaste, his nose scrunching up as he made a face. A small click left his mouth as he stared down at it. "She looks like one of those damn bullfrogs we had to catch and cut open the other day for the lab," the man nonchalantly comments.
You gasp, striking his arms as hard as you could with your fist, your knuckles cracking at the impact. Yoongi releasing a yelp as he jumped away from you with a scowl, rubbing where you had hit him. "Ow! What the hell, Y/N!" He snapped, wincing as he looked at where your punch connected to him in concern.
"Don't disrespect the dead, you idiot! Have some sympathy for her!" You growl, sending him a warning glare that quickly makes Yoongi shut up, his lips shaping into a pout as he continued to rub his arm as if that was going to help get rid of the pain. Although you admit you never liked Hani, you didn't have the heart to disrespect her when she's dead in front of you. Mainly because you weren't able to prevent it....
"How dare you compare her to a damn frog, Yoongi! She..." You trail off, your eyes suddenly widening as something clicked in your mind. It was as if the creaking gears became oiled and the switch was flicked on, the machine in your head whirling to life. Frogs.... Dissection... Embalming them....
"Formalin...." You whisper under your breath, almost laughing because you realized how stupid you all were. "It's formalin! Jin-Oppa! Formalin solution! These girls, I swear, I swear it's a formalin solution!"
The three men looked taken back at your outburst, confusion in their eyes as you wave your arms, trying to explain what you discovered. However, it seemed like your mind was working quicker than your mouth, you not being able to form proper words.
"You need to recheck all the bodies and see if there's formalin in them! The embalming fluid used! It could be formalin!"
Seokjin finally seemed to understand what you were saying, his eyes going round in disbelief as he smacked his forehead with his palm. "Formalin is classified as a deadly poison that's even designated as a hazardous substance. If formalin ever ends up in the body, all organs will develop acidosis and go into a state of paralysis, and it will eventually lead to death. If it's a weak concentration of formalin through an IV in a vein in the scalp, the mark would be harder to find, and I could totally overlook it." Jin mutters in awe, his eyes moving to you as he gripped your shoulder, shaking you, "Y/N! You're a genius! It was right in front of me, but I had overlooked it because it seemed too obvious. I can't believe it, what kind of fucking forensic pathologist am I?"
"I-"
"It makes absolutely sense! When extracting context of the stomach for the first victim.... The smell was putrid, powerful. Too strong. It was abnormally rotten. We did a bacteriological analysis and found that there was C. botulinum bacterium multiplying. They're the strongest bacteria that cause food poisoning, and they are anaerobic.... I first thought the killer might have been sadistic and forced her to eat something rotten but if the corpse was left out for a while.... The body would be fine because of formalin but the stomach...." Seokjin began to babble, cutting you off as he began to mutter to himself.
Hoseok looked utterly lost, his eyebrows furrowed as he approached the older man, "what do you mean? I was able to keep up with the whole formalin part, but why was the stomach spoiling? I thought the formalin was—"
"IF she was forced to drink the formalin, her stomach content wouldn't have rotted. But she was only injected by the poison... And the bacteria in her stomach is capable of growing even if the body is dead because it is anaerobic, it was a perfect place for it to breed... That's the proof that she was killed a while ago...! The first analysis done was wrong! It makes sense because she was found the first day of school after summer break...." Seokjin grinned, beaming brightly as all his frustration for this mystery becomes uncovered.
You nod in understanding, realizing what Seokjin was trying to say. You also can't help but grin, hope beginning to emerge in your eyes. You were another step closer to finding who the murderer is. While formalin was common in Seokjin's workplace, not everyone could get a hold of it. So that meant you were beginning to be able to squeeze down the number of suspects.
Seokjin groaned as he rubbed his face with his hand, "in normal toxicology testing, formalin evaporate due to its volatility. In pathology tests, internal organs are preserved in formalin itself, so we didn't notice it when we sent them for lab work. It's a perfect blind spot....." Seokjin speaks, mortified by the mistake he and his team made. "It also makes sense with the fluid buildup in Im Nayeon's lungs. Fluid build-up is a symptom of poisoning, I can't believe I didn't realize this earlier!" The forensic pathologist seemed genuinely upset, his eyebrows furrowed while his puffy lips stretched into a straight line.
Yoongi grunts as he sits back down, nodding to himself as he collected his thoughts. "We shouldn't get our hopes up yet until we confirm it at the lab," the dark-haired male comments as he looks at the three of you. But he broke into a smile, "but it's a step forward," Yoongi states, his eyes meeting yours, making you send him your own smile.
However, your smile disappears from your face as the door of the church slams open, a man you recognized as one of the guys from Seokjin's team frantically stepping in with his face red.
You hold your breath as the words leave the panicked man's mouth.
"Dr. Kim! Another body has been found, you are needed as soon as possible!"

"This is so fucked up."
You can't stop yourself from covering your mouth with your hands as you stare up at the body that's hanging from a tree. No words leave your lips as Seokjin quickly get to work, commanding his team to take pictures and look for anything suspicious around.
You can't look away, your orbs filling with bewilderment as he and his staff move to cut the body out of the tree, lowering the sixth victim to the floor. Yoongi watches you from the corner of his eyes, his hand slowly reaching for yours, eventually wrapping his long fingers around your cold hand, intertwining your fingers together. You squeeze his hand tightly, your eyes not moving away from what's happening.
"Yoongi-Hyung, you should have knocked on wood when you talked about there being a second dead body earlier," Hoseok mumbled as he stood next to the crossed dressed male.
You sent the younger man a glare, the red-haired male raising his hand up in defense, sending you an apologetic look. Hoseok sighed, running a hand through his colored hair once before he straightened up the uniform he wore with a grimace. "Anyhow, I better go talk to the kids who found her..." Hoseok grumbled his eyes as well as Yoongi's shifting to the side where the teachers were trying to calm down a frantic student you recognize as you twist your head to see.
"Park Woojin and Kang Daniel...." Yoongi literally spits out, his eyes narrowed as the grip he had around your hand tightened.
Hoseok reacts, his eyebrows furrowed as he looks at Yoongi in question with a curious gaze. "You know them?"
You nod at him with a blink, your lips stretched into a frown, "the one freaking out is Park Woojin, a junior. And the-"
"The awfully calm one is Kang Daniel," Yoongi interrupts you, his eyebrows furrowed as he stared at Daniel. You shoot your partner an annoyed glance for cutting you off, not being able to help it as you clicked your tongue.
However, when what Yoongi said sinks in, you frown, your expression becoming puzzled as well. While Woojin's panicked look and the tears in his eyes was pretty normal after finding a body, Daniel just had a grim look to his face. It was almost as if he didn't care, his eyes blank as he watched Woojin shake beside him.
"Wow, look at the kid. He doesn't even look bothered or fazed," Hoseok comments, the corner of his lips twitching into a smirk before he looks at Yoongi, "suspicious, don't you think?" The red-haired man questions as he looks back at Daniel with a gaze of interest.
Yoongi grunts out a response while you frown, your eyes moving back to Seokjin who had gotten his team to pull up white tents to make the area private from prying eyes of students who began to gather.
"Well, wish me fun," Hoseok cooed as he stretched his arms over his head, "let's see what those little kids have to say," the man sent you and Yoongi a nod before stepping out of the tent with an eager smile. With Hoseok gone, you release a sigh before slowly letting go of Yoongi's hand to approach one of Seokjin's assistants. The woman nods at you before handing you a mask and another pair of gloves, the female doing the same to Yoongi before bowing and moving out of your way.
You're slipping your gloves on just as Seokjin finishes taking pictures himself, leaving that task to his assistant. When you approach him, he gives you a nod of acknowledgment when you take your place beside him.
"Didn't think I'll be checking more than one body today. I don't get paid enough," Seokjin joked, trying to lighten the mood. He's not successful though, you only able to stiffly nod as you stare down at the blindfolded girl that is laid down on blue sheets after she was cut down from the tree she was hanging from. Your eyes can't help but wander to the victim's neck, the rope that she was hanging from leaving painful red indentation marks on the pale skin.
Not getting the reaction he was expecting, Seokjin sighs before kneeling beside the body, his hand slowly untying the white cloth wrapped around the victim's head. When the fabric unravels, you suck in a breath, your gaze getting caught in the wide, empty eyes of Park Chaeyoung staring at you. While you had known it was her by her vibrantly dyed hair when she was hanging from the tree, you're not able to stop yourself from swallowing thickly, the sickly pale skin of the girl making you feel nauseated. While you never liked her with the usual snarl on her face, you're quick to decide you preferred it more than the blank gaze that was sent to you by her corpse.
"Bloodshot eyes... Yeonjun, make sure you take a picture," Seokjin commands, stepping back to allow his assistant intern to capture the scene. After he does, Seokjin takes a moment to close his eyes with his hands clasped together in front of him, paying respect to the dead girl. After a second, he reopens his own orbs, lowering his gloved hands over Rose's eyes and slowly closed her eyelids.
You stand over Seokjin as he gets to work, your eyes carefully watching the older male. You're not quite sure what you're feeling at the moment, getting flooded by countless emotions that make you feel numb.
"Discoloration on her lips, color is purple. No, rigor mortis yet, her body temperature seems to be still declining... She hasn't been dead for long," while half of Seokjin's face is covered by a white mask, you can see that the man was frowning.
You bite your lips, your eyes shifting to Yoongi who now joined the two of you as well, your partner standing a few feet away as he watched everything with narrowed eyes. He releases a low grunt from the back of his throat, the sound angry and feral.
"If that's the case, the killer was here not too long ago. Fuck...." Yoongi uncharacteristically shouts, his eyes burning with rage as he shook his hair out with his hand. "Fuck!"
While Yoongi has a small fit, you stay silent, staring at Rose's pale face. You remember yesterday's incident at the lake, the image of the younger girl's lips curled into a snarl as she gave you an evil grin popping into your mind. There's no denying that you despised the girl, her petty bullying and hurtful words not affecting you personally but you finding it unacceptable to treat others in such a way. Her action of shoving you in the water yesterday had gone too far in your mind, your patience for her beginning to wear thin. Angered and sick of her tormenting you and Yoongi, you wanted her to taste a bit of her own medicine. You had actually planned a couple of things to do to humiliate her a bit in front of the school when you saw a chance... but that wasn't going to happen anymore. The school bully was killed...
"I think she was suffocated..." Seokjin speaks up, snapping you out of your thought, Yoongi also looking over in alarm, "the discoloration on her lips is a condition known as cyanosis. It's when the skin takes a purplish color caused by the lack of oxygen. And her eyes... her eyes were bloodshot, which is another sign we often see in suffocation victims."
Yoongi suddenly steps forward, his gaze having a hint of alarm at the information the two of you hear, "are you serious? You're able to tell what killed her, already?"
You swallow in concern, your eyebrows furrowed as you looked down at the body. Yoongi was right, the other bodies found before showed no signs of any damage. For Hani, while she was stabbed, the very first victim to show an external injury, you were almost positive that was done on purpose to divert all of your attention away from the main reason of her death.
But for Rose, the way she was killed seemed to be significantly different from the others. Her body actually showed the signs of what had killed her, and Jin wasn't stumped. Your fingers curled into a fist, this information fucked everything up for God's sake. Everything be damned if Rose's death isn't related to the other five. Goddammit to all this shit....
Seokjin shakes his head as his shoulders shrugs, "I can't say for sure, especially since I have to go back to the lab and check for formalin in all the other bodies to see if what Y/N suggested earlier is true. And I can't rule that this one died from suffocation yet without a proper autopsy. I'm just saying it's a high possibility," your forensic pathologist explains with his eyebrows furrowed. "I was actually taken aback when Ahn Hani's body actually had a visible injury since none of the victims did so far but for this one... Really shows different signs compared to the five others..."
"But, if we do find out that Rose was killed differently from the five other victims..." You trail off, your eyes becoming icy just at the thought, your expression hardening in displeasure. This would really-and you meant really would suck.
"It might be a whole new different killer that was trying to sneak in a victim when the whole school is in chaos with the murders," Yoongi concludes your thoughts for you with a growl, your partner curling his fingers into a tight fist beside his body. You can see his knuckles turning white at how hard he clenched them, a vein popping in his neck.
You keep your lips shut tight, trying to shake the awful possibility out of your mind. If that were the case, everything would become 100x more complicated. You could already imagine your leader sporting a headache when he receives the new report of the two deaths.
"Y/N, Yoongi, you're going to want to look at this..." Seokjin's voice is barely above a whisper as he calls the two of you over. As you peer over the older man's shoulder, your lips part as the man opens Rose's mouth with his gloved fingers. As he does, your eye catch sight of something square-shaped and black.
"What is that...?" Yoongi also voices his question as Seokjin grabs the questioning item, slowly handing it to you. Both men stand behind you as you slowly unfold the stiff paper that's neatly folded into a square.
When it is finally unfolded, you stare at it, recognizing what it is. On the paper, which you quickly realize is a card has a drawing of a woman stroking a lion's head.
"A tarot card?" Seokjin questions, his voice rising a few octaves higher in confusion.
"It's a tarot card for Strength. Strength predicts the triumphant conclusion to a major life problem, situation, or temptation through the strength of character. It's supposedly a very happy card if you're fighting an illness or recovering from an injury," you slowly reply. When you were younger, you had gone through a phase of liking astrology and tarot cards, even owning a pair for yourself. While the drawing was different from your own deck, you can tell it is a Strength card seeing the card's distinct character as well as the roman numeral eight at the middle top of the card.
Yoongi snorts in response, rolling his eyes, "well, that's so damn perfect don't you think? So damn accurate since she's fucking dead," the man comments snarkily, making you glare at him in annoyance, preparing to retort an argument.
Seokjin obviously doesn't see the look of annoyance Yoongi, and you throw at each other, the man going back to work mode. "What a sick killer, they must have put that in her mouth. Do you think as a gag?" Seokjin comments as he sighs, moving his gaze back to the body, going back to check it. The man hums as he reopens the mouth, asking his assistant to take a picture. "Ohh, pink discoloration is very distinct at the neck of the teeth. That makes the possibility of her death because of asphyxia become just higher..."
"So, suffocation?"
You nearly jump out of your skin as a voice sounded behind you, spinning on your heels to turn around to see Hoseok standing there with a frown. The younger male sends you an amused smile as he sees you flinch, but it soon becomes apologetic when you scowl.
"Can't say for sure unless I cut her open, but I'm pretty sure," Seokjin replies, looking up to frown at Hoseok, his head cocked to the side in surprise. "You're done already, Hobi? That's rare for you to let the interrogation end that fast."
Upon Seokjin's words, Hoseok scoffed, rolling his head. "Nah. I'm taking the Kang Daniel kid back with us to ask him some more questions. He said some concerning things that raised the red flags," the red-haired man admitted, scratching his head with a thoughtful look. There's a noticeable shift to Hoseok's demeanor compared to when he had gone to interrogate the boys, and it concerns you.
Yoongi immediately perks up at the information, walking up to Hoseok to surely discuss what the younger male learned. Seokjin resumes his work, the clicking of his assistant's camera and the mumbles of his discoveries about the corpse a low muted buzz at the back of your brain.
You, on the other hand, continue to stare down at the tarot card in hand, trying to understand the meaning of it. Something, perhaps it was your gut that was telling you that the killing of Rose wasn't a new killer like Yoongi had suggested earlier. You just feel an unusual amount of uneasiness that you couldn't explain at all, and it bothered you.
There had to be a specific reason why the killer had stuffed her mouth with a tarot card.... But why the Strength card? The meaning of the card was contradicting to what had happened to the girl. It didn't make sense. With a sigh, you consider your options and possibilities.
Your eyes shift on to the tarot card, while it was found in a horrible place, you can't help but appreciate the artistry of the card, the deck surely being an expensive one seeing the small details of the drawing. However, it seemed like instead of the woman, the lion was painted more detailed, unlike many of the cards you've seen in the past.
The lion was a majestic beast with golden eyes rimmed with dark charcoal black, its fur seemed to be an eye-catching gold, painted with so much detail it actually looked like it was shining under the light.
While you're realizing all of these by yourself, Yoongi was speaking with Hoseok, the two muttering together with their heads close, engrossed in discussing possibilities of the crime.
"Don't you think the killer is getting bolder and bolder? Almost cocky?" Hoseok questioned with his arms crossed over his chest, a scowl present on his handsome face, his golden skin shaded by the trees that are overhead. While he often had a cheerful demeanor, when he becomes serious like this is when he was the most dangerous and quite terrifying.
"There could be another killer. Not one but two," Yoongi mutters in response. However, he does nod, his eyes taking a thoughtful look as he licked his lower lip before taking it between his teeth, chewing on it. "But if there is one killer who murdered all six of these females, he is getting damn cocky. When I get them between my hands, I'm going to fucking murder them..."
Hoseok releases a shudder, nodding his head in agreement as his lips curled in disgust, "sick fuck. Like I said earlier, a fucking children's toy at a murder scene. Who puts a lamb, a beacon of cute and innocence along with a murder case?" The man whines, glancing down at the body before dramatically shivering as he stuck his tongue out.
You stop, processing his words for a second, it gets repeated in your head. A lamb stuffed animal... You have a flashback to when you had placed the bloodied stuffed animal into a bag at the church earlier that morning. Seconds later, your gaze shifts down as you eyed the bent tarot card in your hand, the Strength card, the lion....
The two animals...
Your thought suddenly goes back to the first victim, her death... was also related to an animal, a venomous snake. At the sudden realization, you freeze, your lips parting as you spin on your heels, your fingers finding a hold on Yoongi who stared at you in shock.
"Wha—"
"The lamb stuffed animal.... It's not a sheep like we thought... no, how the hell didn't we notice all of this, Yoongi! It's a ram! A ram!" You scream, your words coming out extremely fast as you shook Yoongi, your partner not being able to speak as he stared at you in bewilderment.
Seokjin and Hoseok watch you in alarm as you let Yoongi go as you pace back and forth for a moment, your mouth not being able to keep up with your brain process as you stumble over your words.
"Hoseok!" You snap, making the said man immediately straighten up, his eyes wide as you stomp up to him. "Hobi, talk to the school and say you're taking Yoongi and me back to the city for some interrogation. Some questioning... We need an excuse for us to return earlier than expected. I need to talk to Namjoon, I-I think I figured out how the killings are related to each other, and if I'm right, I'm sure Rose was killed by the same killer as the rest."

Namjoon couldn't hide his bewilderment when the door of his office had been slammed open over thirty minutes ago by a disheveled looking you. He hadn't been able to even question or greet you before you grabbed a whiteboard marker off the ledge, scribbling onto his board he had just cleaned that morning.
As the board gets scribbled with writing, Namjoon's expression slowly shifts as his eyes dart over the words you write with alarm, slowly beginning to connect what you were trying to prove. Some pictures of the crime scene are also placed on the board with magnets. When the last idea gets written down, you step back, looking at the whiteboard that was covered with words along with arrows that messily point to the final conclusion.
"THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS"
Namjoon swallowed once before he slowly stood up from his seat, approaching your form without his eyes moving away from what you wrote on the massive whiteboard.
"The first victim, Kim Yeri, found on campus with a bite of a venomous snake. The second victim, Lalisa Manoban, found in the campus flower garden covered in dew and snails. Third victim, Chou Tzuyu, found in the art room with her body laying in dried pigs blood that was used to paint flowers on the floor. Fourth victim, Im Nayeon was found floating in Toad Pond early in the morning by Park Jihoon and me. The sixth victim, Ahn Hani, found in a church, her hand holding a stuffed animal that is a ram. And our final victim, Park Chaeyoung, her body was found hanging on a tree, a tarot card known as Strength stuffed in her mouth."
"A lion..." Namjoon muttered under his breath, his eyes wide as he looked up at you in shock.
You nod, grabbing hold of your bag and pulling out the book Jinyoung had given you, showing it to your leader who was pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers. The man eyed the old cover, taking it into his hand, his eyes shifting through the first few pages silently.
"Reading this, I found out that each deadly sin has an animal representing it. A snake for envy, snail for sloth, pig for gluttony, toad for greed, ram for lust, lion for wrath," you speak slowly as you turn your head back to the board where your messy scramble is written down, "and a peacock for pride," you finish, breathing deeply through your nose before exhaling slowly.
Namjoon sighed as he leaned against his table, sitting at the edge with a deep frown on his face, "yes, I've read that somewhere before too," the man shuffles his feet, closing the book with a clap. His gaze shifts to your face, his orbs flashing with excitement he can't seem to hide. You can't help it but return his look, a smile getting pulled on your lips as Namjoon rushes to you, his hand grabbing your shoulders as he gently shook you.
"You're a fucking genius, Y/N! A fucking genius! I can't believe I never was able to connect the relations all the killings had!" Namjoon regretfully admits as he finally lets you go, rushing to the board as he grabbed a hold of another marker. You watched him as he wrote "Seventh target" in bright red, also adding Pride next to it before he stepped back.
As the two of you stared at the board, you took the marker out of Namjoon's hand, crossing each of the seven deadly sins off the board with a single line, only leaving Pride left on the board.
Namjoon ran a frustrated hand through his hair, his eyebrows furrowing. "Who is the killer targeting for the last sin? I swear we need to-"
"Kang Seulgi."
Your leader looks at you in surprise, his lips parting as he watched you, giving you a look that told you to continue. You shrug your shoulders, trying to find the correct words to use as you slowly began to explain. "It only makes sense. All these girls, they were on the top of the food chain at the school. They were even considered friends within the school, hanging out with each other because of their similarity. And Pride, it is the greatest Sin, and it's fitting for the Queen Bee, don't you think?" You question with a small frown, crossing your arms over your chest. It honestly was fitting. Seulgi still continued to sit at the top of the throne, and it seemed that one by one, her loyal subjects were erased.
You barely managed to stop yourself from sighing, clicking your tongue instead as you plopped down onto one of the chairs in the room, sinking into the soft cushion as your expression shifted thoughtfully. While you were glad you most likely found out the connection all the killing had, you weren't too sure how to feel with the way you had realized it. You had read the book. The book was given to you by Bae Jinyoung, one of the suspects. You would have never found out about the seven deadly sins and the connection it had with the killing if it wasn't for Jinyoung. But how did he know...? Shaking your head, you looked back at Namjoon who seemed to be in his own deep thought, the man biting his lower lip with his eyes narrowed on the wall.
"My concern is, what is the killer's purpose? Why are they killing these girls? What's motivating them? What made them think it's okay to kill them? What is he trying to achieve...?" You speak up, your words barely above a whisper as you adjust your position on the seat.
It seems like although you whispered Namjoon was still able to hear you. The man turned to you, opening his mouth to answer your question with his theory. But before he could even utter the first word, the door of his office slams open, making both him and you to jump in shock. You're slightly more graceful than Namjoon, only flinching, while the man's elbow catches the pile of documents that were neatly organized on his desk, the small tower of paper getting knocked over and fluttered to a collection of mess on the table and the floor.
"Fuck, goddammit! I-"
"Positive! It's a positive!!! It's a freaking positive for formalin! All five bodies have formalin in it!" Seokjin shrieks as he runs up to you, still wearing his scrubs, his brown locks tousled and disheveled.
It takes a moment for everything to sink in. And it takes you a split second for you to realize what Seokjin was saying. But you finally understand as Seokjin grasps your hand, pulling you to your feet before his arms wrap around your waist, your feet getting lifted from the floor as he swings you around like you're a child.
You grin at the information, a small giggle leaving your lips at the older man's excitement. However, you freeze your eyes widening a fraction as you realized what he said. He had said five bodies.... Not six....
Seokjin seemed to notice your change of attitude, the tall man gently placing you back on the ground. He seemed to grow slightly serious, the man straightening his clothes with a small cough as he composed himself.
"Autopsy for Rose revealed that her death was caused by asphyxia. We dissected her brain, and it proved it along with her heart," Seokjin began, observing your expressions. "It seemed like she was choked with a rope first and killed before the killer hung her body in a tree, seeing that there are two marks left on her neck. There were also signs of struggle, some of her own blood and skin being found in her nails. Anyhow, the first rope mark left is from when she is killed by strangulation, and the second one when she was hung, and the weight of her body drew blood because of the rough material of the rope, which also broke her neck as well. Seeing the first mark, we can assume that the killer was either the same height or smaller because the mark is angled down," the forensic pathologist concludes, his eyebrows furrowed as he recalled the autopsy, his hand gently taking yours and giving it a squeeze as he took a seat.
"Well, that something amazing to know but I would really appreciate it if you came into my office in a less dramatic way, hyung," Namjoon grumbled, visibly upset as he tried to pick up all the paper that is scattered around him. He genuinely looks sad as he stares down at the mess and you could imagine that he had cleaned up the pile of documents and organized them for hours, most likely using the whole day yesterday.
Seokjin sends the younger man an apologetic smile, getting up as he helped Namjoon clean up. But just as they picked up the last sheet, the door opened once more, revealing Yoongi who wore male clothes for once. Your partner seemed to look confused at what he's witnessing but doesn't question it. Instead, his eyes drift to the whiteboard you and Namjoon were writing a few moments ago, his eyes trailing over each word carefully.
While you had briefly explained what you had realized on the car ride back to the base, Yoongi hadn't gotten the full understanding. After a few moments, the black-haired man nods, seeming to have a complete grasp on what's happening by just reading the whiteboard.
He nonchalantly walks past Namjoon and Seokjin who eye him in confusion and places a brown file on the desk with a blank look. He doesn't say anything as he approaches where you stand, his hand taking hold of your wrist. While a part of you is confused, you don't complain as Yoongi pulled you to him as he claimed a seat on the couch, dragging you onto his lap as his arms wrapped around your waist, his chest pressing into your back. The man nuzzles into you, inhaling deeply before he releases the breath with a pleased sigh. "I've thought of a few possibilities for the sixth victim while I had the chance. If she indeed was killed by the same guy who killed the other five, I think Rose's killer decided to kill her because they saw the chance. The other five deaths seemed to be plotted carefully, but Rose was probably killed on the whim. Which makes me think, there might be a reason why the killer was hurrying the killing," Yoongi explains as he buries his face into the back of your neck, goosebumps appear on your skin as his lips traced against the smooth surface.
Yoongi pulls away after a moment, his eyes moving back to the table where he had placed the file. "I went to question some of the families of the victims. Took quite a long time but got some of the info. Most of them paid media to keep the deaths of their daughters quiet because it can affect their family name, seeing as most of them are CEOs and other big group bosses. I also found out that the last time Kim Yerim's family actually saw their daughter was a week before school started. They had thought she was out on vacation with her friends, the girl sending them texts throughout the week. It was a shock to them to get the call that their daughter was dead when she was found," Yoongi explains, his grip tightening around you.
You nod at the information, not finding it surprising. "This information confirms that Seokjin may be right about how she may have been dead longer than what we had first thought. And it's likely that the killer continued to contact her parents to make sure they don't get suspicious and when school started, he placed the body where she'll be found easily," you speak up, your hand intertwining with Yoongi, giving it a squeeze of comfort that Yoongi returned without hesitation.
Namjoon releases a sigh, seeming to have given up organizing the stack of paper. The man turns his eyes to both you and Yoongi, a small smile spreading across his face as he gazes at the two of you. "Good job you two, we're one more step closer to capturing this killer. I'll send out Jungkook and Hobi to keep an eye on Kang Seulgi so nothing should happen to her," your leader comments as he adjusts his glasses on his nose, pushing it higher onto the bridge, the black frames seeming to still fall down.
Namjoon mutters an excuse as he steps out of the office, his phone in hand, probably to give a call to Jungkook and Hoseok to assign them their new job. Seokjin, on the other hand, send you and Yoongi a nod and a smile before silently stepping out of the room, probably to change out of the dirty scrubs he wore.
You relax, your shoulders slumping as you leaned into Yoongi's warmth, curling your legs up as you fully sit on Yoongi's lap, the man cradling you lovingly as he presses his lips to your temple. He hums under his breath, your ears pressed to his chest, his rhythmic heartbeat soothing.
Eventually, he breaks the silence as he gives you a tighter squeeze as he hugs your smaller body to his.
"We're finding out who this fucking killer is and putting their game to a damn end together," Yoongi growled lowly.
And you knew he was going to keep his promise with the look he had in his dark orbs.

It was strangely comforting as you felt the familiar soreness in your arms and legs as you sat at your desk in the empty classroom. You welcomed the pain of sparing, the bruises lining up your stomach and part of your hips hidden underneath your uniform. When you had been dismissed by Namjoon after a meeting with him and Yoongi, you quickly grabbed hold of Jungkook who you found in the hallways.
Ignoring the younger man's protest, you dragged him to the gym, demanding him to be your sparring opponent. And while hesitant in the beginning, Jungkook concerned that you may have been out of shape, he didn't hold back as you both stood on the cushioned mats that prevented any serious injuries. There's no denying Jungkook is an aggressive fighter, his muscular body lethal, each of his punches calculated and heavy, making winces leave your mouth as they connect. But you weren't on the team of a highly trained agent without reason, and you took pride that you had a few more years of experience compared to the young adult.
Let's just say Jungkook was walking around with a slight limp as well.
Your eyes drift to Yoongi who slept beside you, your partner's head down on the table as you hear light snores coming from him. Interesting enough, Yoongi had also sparred with Hoseok a couple hours after you and Jungkook had, the man coming back to your room sweating and whining about the pains in his muscles. You were actually quite shocked when you had learned he was the one who approached Hoseok for a spar. Your partner was known to be the laziest within your group regarding exercise. You had teased him mercilessly of his old age, but at the same time, his action was a blatant proof that Yoongi was preparing to end this mission.
Beginning to hear chatters, your eyes shift to the window, seeing small crowds of students approaching the building for the days class. While you and Yoongi had returned last night after being dropped off by Seokjin, the other students of the school were immediately brought back onto campus after Rose's body was found. That was Friday and today was the first day of school since the incident of the sixth victim.
Hearing the door of the classroom glide open, you shift your head to witness a familiar male with round glasses step into the room. Seeing you in your seat, Sungwoon's eyes widened a fraction before he immediately approached you, his stride wide.
"Y/N! You're back!" The class president sighs in relief as he immediately takes hold of your hand, squeezing it. "I heard what had happened and before I could check up on you, we were told you had to leave with the police so you can answer some questions. But even when Daniel had come back from the station, you and Yoonji weren't back at the dorm, so I was worried." The man's eyes filled with concern as he eyes you, his lips tugging downwards into a large frown.
You in response gave him a weak smile, holding yourself back from frowning as you see your hands that were still connected.
"They didn't treat you bad did they? I was so worried, they're crazy for taking an underage female into questioning for a couple of days! Were your parents notified? Were you eating properly? Are you mentally okay?" Sungwoon barely breathed as he sputtered, his hands taking hold of both of your hands now, staring into your face with a large frown.
You're taken back by his action, not being able to stop yourself from blinking a few times trying to process the boy's words. A part of you wants to laugh at some of his questions, but equally, at the same time, you're a bit disturbed at his concern and how close he was. It was almost like personal space didn't exist at that moment, the boy extremely close to your face, his breath fanning your cheeks.
"Hey, back the fuck off. Can't you see she's uncomfortable?" Your saving grace was Yoongi, who woke up because of the noise. Your partner had a scowl on his face as he combed a hand through the black strands of his wig, his eyes narrowed in irritation at Sungwoon.
Sungwoon flinched under Yoongi's look but still didn't let go of your hands although he did take a step back. Yoongi obviously noticed the action, his eyes narrowing into your joined hands, his lips beginning to curl in into a snarl. The crossdressed male stood up, his hand gripping your forearm, pulling you away from Sungwoon, forcing the class president to finally let you go.
"I made sure she ate and was treated well, so you don't have to worry," Yoongi scowled as he made you sit next to him, sending a look that dared Sungwoon to argue with him.
Sungwoon didn't, his lips stretching into a straight line, a look of displeasure in his eyes as he backed off. However, he was quick to smile at Yoongi, an innocent look replacing his former expression. "Y/N is lucky to have a caring roommate like you, Yoonji. You guys are such good friends, I'm envious of the relationship you girls can have, it's almost like you're her lover. But that can't be it because you guys are best friends, right?"
You suck in a breath, taken back at what the male had said. Yoongi also didn't seem to have expected Sungwoon to actually say something like that, your partner sucking in one of his cheeks as he stared at Sungwoon who only smiled innocently. Neither you or Yoongi had thought Sungwoon would actually talk back, always seeming to back off when 'Yoonji' was involved.
And seeing Yoongi's expression, you knew what Sungwoon said irked him, your boyfriend's eyes darkening as his knuckles turned white as he curled his fingers into a fist. Too bad for Sungwoon that 'Yoonji' was indeed in a relationship with you, but as Yoongi.
While the two continue to exchange looks that dared each other to say more, the classroom had begun to fill out, many of the students huddled together as they watched.
"I heard someone saying that Y/N is suspected as the one who killed Rose... that's why she was taken into questioning by the police and hadn't come back until today."
Yoongi and Sungwoon who snap out of their glaring competition, and you look to where you heard the comment come from. But the girls who were huddled together across the room all looked down, avoiding eye contact, making it impossible to see who had said that.
"What ridiculous thing are you saying, accusing your fellow classmates?" Sungwoon questioned, looking appalled at what he heard. He steps away from Yoongi as he approaches his classmates with a small frown. "Y/N would never do something so horrific. How could you-"
"We all know she has some issue with Rose," one of the girls finally spoke up, gathering enough courage to look up and meet Sungwoon's gaze before looking at you in uncertainty. "We all saw how Rose was treating her. Even at the camp. You were there, weren't you, Sungwoon? When Rose pushed Y/N into the lake. Y/N has a reason to hate Rose with all the harassment she was experiencing."
Sungwoon's mouth opens and closes at the remark, looking as if he doesn't know what to say. His eyes move to you, his eyebrows furrowed as if he was deciding what to say next. But before he could think, Yoongi was already stepping forward.
"That's ridiculous. Y/N had been mature in every interaction with Rose. And Y/N and I transferred to this school after the killings began to happen at this damn school. There's a serial killer on the loose, and there's no way Y/N is involved in it. And especially about Rose. We had police questioning us, but Y/N and I have an alibi for Rose's killing because we were skyping Y/N older brother in our room," Yoongi's voice is harsh as he glared at everyone in the class.
Some of the students look away in shame, but there are still a handful of people who give you and Yoongi distrusting looks. There's a palpable tension in the room, and it was understandable. These students were terrified, they were only children for god's sake. They were all going through something no one should go through as they find their classmates and friends dead, and they didn't know who was going to get picked off next. They all must have the thought of 'is it going to be me next...?'
"We're starting off with a school-wide assembly," the teacher walks into the classroom, clueless to what had happened prior to his appearance. You stay back as your classmates shuffle to get into lines, your lips shifting into a frown as you think about what had just happened. This wasn't good.
And as if feeling your concern, Yoongi takes hold of your hand, giving it a squeeze as you and him line up at the very back. Neither you and Yoongi say anything as you watch as the school president nervously addresses the students, sharing about what had happened. It's silent in the auditorium, students quietly listening with a look of fear in their eyes.
"W-We have some guest here to speak about all of your safety and some precautions we need to take. I would like to introduce the Chief of the Police, Mister Kim Namjoon and his assistant Kim Seokjin."
You keep your expression neutral as you see Namjoon and Seokjin step up onto the stage with their fake identity, you and Yoongi already having been informed by your leader what they were going to do. Namjoon takes his place in front of his mic while Seokjin stands a few feet away from him in the back.
Namjoon coughs once as he brings the mic closer to his mouth, having to adjust it significantly seeing as he was much taller than your school president. He gives a polite smile, and you swear you hear some girls sigh as your leader flashes his deep dimples on his tanned skin.
"Good morning, students, my name is Kim Namjoon, and I am here today to discuss something for all of your safety. We were only just notified about these unfortunate occurrences happening at your school," Namjoon sends a pointed look to your school president who nervously shrunk under his gaze. "I would like you all to remember to always travel in a group, no matter where you go with at least three people. If you see something you find strange, even if it is the smallest thing, please do not hesitate to let an adult or one of the guards know. We will do our utmost best to keep you all safe now that we learned what has been happening here. Please also make sure to keep the number of the campus police on your phone in case of any emergencies and make sure you all stay in your room at night." Namjoon opened his mouth to close off his short speech, his hands letting go of the microphone for a second. Seeing that small period, Seokjin makes a move. Before Namjoon could speak again, Seokjin steals the microphone from him, harshly pushing the younger man to the side as he grabbed all of the attention of the students with his bold and slightly rude action.
"Kim Y/N! We better hear from you after this assembly, you missy! As your older brothers, we are very concerned about your safety! How dare you not let us know you are safe! Namjoon and I almost had a heart attack when we heard that your schoo-" Seokjin can't finish his rant as Namjoon cuts him off, trying to pull the microphone away from the older man. The two struggle with each other, each holding onto the microphone, neither of them willing to let go, Seokjin for the fun of it and Namjoon for the sake of it.
You're horrified, your mouth falling open as everyone stares at you in shock at the display as well as the information Seokjin revealed.
Okay, that was not part of the plan Namjoon, and you had decided on... You blink once, twice, thrice, before you release a deep sigh, holding yourself back from slapping your forehead.
You watch as Namjoon and Seokjin argue on stage, the former shaking his head, probably as shocked as you about Seokjin's excellent, however, unexpected and unplanned acting. You almost want to punch the forensic pathologist in the face as you see his smug look, seeming to be amused as he successfully put you in the spotlight.
When Namjoon was finally able to wrestle the microphone away from Seokjin, he awkwardly coughed, a sheepish smile on his face. Seokjin, on the other hand, pouts but you don't miss the look of amusement as well as accomplishment in his brown orbs.
"Um, yes... Although Seokjin-hyung made it very obvious, Kim Y/N is our younger sister... Anyhow, like he said, we would like to talk to you later. We have few things to discuss, but I'm sure you've been safe being a black belt but... Anyways, I apologize for making it a bit unprofessional at the end, but what kind of older brothers would we be without embarrassing a younger sibling? We thank you for your time, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you find anything unusual or you know something." Namjoon who seemed to have given up just following the discussed plan and just follow after Seokjin's ad-lib gives a shallow bow before pulling Seokjin off the stage with him.
You scowl, but boldly keep your shoulders squared with your head up although many students stared at you in awe. You don't change an expression as the school president return back onto the stage, looking a bit nervous. You can see how his eyes dart from where you sit to where your 'brothers' stand, seeming to realize how powerful your family might be.
"Um, thank you, Mr. Kim. With the unfortunate events, our school was lacking a nurse for our students. And while it was sudden, we were fortunate enough to find someone to fill in for Ms. Ahn. I would like to introduce you all to our new nurse who will be working for us for the remainder of the year. Mr. Park, can you please come up...?"
Both you and Yoongi choke, you releasing a splutter and Yoongi coughing as a very familiar figure happily steps up onto the stage, his eyes narrowed into crescent moons as he beams at the students.
"Hello! It's a pleasure to meet you all! My name is Park Jimin, and I will be all of your nurse from today!" The man with fluffy blonde hair giggles as he bows deeply before standing back up, still beaming sweetly.
You can almost hear the simultaneous thought, "this cute little man is gonna be the new nurse?" of the students as the fluffy man you adored began to speak sweetly with his soft voice.
"I understand you all have been going through very stressful situations and I'm sure you all have many concerns with what was happening at your school. My office door is open to everyone no matter what and not just for physical injuries but mental ones as well. If you have any concerns and want to talk, you are always welcomed to visit me. And I mean everyone is welcomed no matter what, my door will be wide open," Jimin's eyebrows get knitted as he struggles with the tall microphone for a bit. But he easily brushes away his struggle with a gentle smile that seems to shoot arrows straight to both female and male population's hearts.
Yoongi holds in a snort, and you look at him in confusion. Your partner looks amused, his lips twitching as he bent his neck so he could speak into your ear. "Look around."
As you do, you can't help but laugh as well.
Park Jimin successfully was able to get the whole school already whipped for him in a span of five minutes.

Yoongi's knuckle softly connects to the wooden door three times before you both hear a cheerful, "come in!" come from the other side. Yoongi doesn't have the chance of opening the door himself as you push past him and poke your head in with a bright grin. When Jimin looks up from his desk, his smile matches yours, if not even more brilliant as he realizes that it's you.
"Y/N-Noona!!!" Jimin literally squeals, launching himself onto you when you step in, the boy squeezing you tightly like a koala, his arms engulfing your smaller form. Yoongi isn't too far behind you, softly closing the door behind him as Jimin continues to hug you, rocking your body in a soft sway.
When Jimin finally lets you go, he launches himself onto Yoongi next, a happy giggle leaving his lips as he hugged the older man too. "Hyung! I missed you guys so much...!" Jimin coos, Yoongi barely being able to stable himself at the added weight of Jimin.
Even when the blonde male breaks away from Yoongi, he latches back onto you, his arms wrapping around your waist lovingly as he kept you close. Out of the maknae group, Jimin was the most attached to you, although Jungkook came pretty damn close. And although he was extremely touchy, it was all platonic, the younger male being a total sweetheart that you claim as your non-blood related younger brother that you enjoyed spoiling to death. You happened to be his mentor when he first came onto the team, the young man following you around the hallways as you taught him the ropes of being an agent. Which in later was how a strong bond between the two of you was created.
Eventually, Jimin leads the three of you to a couch, claiming the spot beside you, seeming to refuse to let you step more than two steps away from him, not that you mind. Yoongi is used to Jimin's act, not even hesitating to claim the other couch to himself, getting comfortable in a man spread although he was wearing a skirt. You rolled your eyes at him as you see the spandex he wore underneath is flashed, Yoongi looking as if he doesn't give a single damn about the whole thing.
"I was so upset when I heard Jungkookie and Taehyung visited you two without me. Those little assholes knew I was on a mission," the blonde male pouted, his plump lips sticking out as he gave you a puppy eye look. His voice is a few octaves higher as he crosses his arms over his chest, his eyes so wide that you were sure he was exaggerating it.
You chuckle, ruffling his hair affectionately, the younger male whining as you messed up his styled hair. While he complained, he didn't pull away, a small smile stretched across his face. His eyes narrowed to your favorite crescent moons. "So when they told us that they were gonna need another undercover, I fought for it! Namjoon-hyung made Taehyung, Jungkook, and I sprawl it out and look who's here! Jungkook had a bloody nose, and Taehyung was still limping the last time I saw him," Jimin puffed out his chest proudly, a smug look spreading across his face.
You can't help the smile, finding the whole action quite cute, especially with how Jimin looks so proud and pleased at his accomplishment. While being the shortest out of the males in your group, Jimin was quite powerful, easily being able to take out men thrice his weight. If Jungkook was a power fighter, Jimin fought with speed, much like how you did, seeing that you did mentor him. You've seen enough times of the man somehow maneuvering himself around his opponent and choking them from behind with his thighs. And, you, as well as everyone on the team has sadly been in that place, getting choked by Jimin and either tapping out or falling unconscious because they were too stubborn to give up. IF you needed to be specific, only one person had actually fallen unconscious, and that's Jungkook. That stubborn bastard.
A sudden knock on the door immediately make you all three stiffen up, Jimin quickly straightening his clothes and you moving onto the couch Yoongi sat in. Even Yoongi stopped manspreading, closing his legs as he sat properly like a female.
However, as you hear a playful, "Jimmine~" you relax, your eyes falling onto a grinning Seokjin who poked his head in. When the older man catches your eye, he cackles, and you respond with a roll of your eyes.
"Hello, dear sister," Namjoon speaks up as he steps into the room as well, his dimples showing as he takes a seat onto a single sofa. Jin, on the other hand, leaps over the couch Jimin sat in, landing on the furniture and making the said male who sat in it bounce up at the force.
You huffed in exasperation as the other laughed, seeming to find the whole ordeal amusing. Yes, you admit it was quite funny how Jin and Namjoon pretended to be your brother, but you did think they went a bit overboard with the way Jin scolded you in front of the whole school population.
"Haha, very funny. If you just wanted me to be your sister, you should have just told me. I would have been one of those devil little sisters you hear about," you comment, sending Jin a glare that made the man wince.
Jin releases a nervous laugh as he shook his head, smiling at you innocently as he shrugged his broad shoulders. "Yikes, if that's the case hell no. I don't have a death wish like that," the man replies, sending you a wink that you pretend to flick away.
The others laugh as Jin, and you bicker, but a sudden thought pops in your mind, and you stop making faces at the older man, turning your attention to Namjoon, who was sipping a cup of coffee Jimin just made for him. Feeling your gaze, the said man looks up, raising a questioning eyebrow up, stopping mid-sip of the steaming coffee.
"Hey, but my question is, can Jimin really properly do his job as the school nurse? Yeah, I agree that it's a good idea to send him in for extra help but like, can he even help with injuries?" You questioned, bring the question to Namjoon. You hold back a laugh at what happens next.
At your words, Jimin gasped, obviously looking offended at what you accused him of. He sends you a stink eye as he huffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he cutely pouted. "Hey, excuse you! You're not the only one who has a degree here! I don't know a lot of medical stuff except the basic first aid, but I did graduate with my psychology degree! I can help kids who are going through a hard time!" The blonde defends himself, his voice rising a few octaves higher than usual.
Yoongi snorts at his response, rolling his eyes as he flipped the strands of his black wig over his shoulder, "says the one who accidentally gave Jungkook laxatives instead of the allergy medicine he needed once. The poor kid couldn't leave the damn toilet, and his sneezing didn't even stop in the end."
At that, you all broke into laughter, Jin's windshield laughs being the loudest as Jimin miserably defended himself.
"Hey! They were both blue!"
You sighed, shaking your head as you remembered the incident. "Jimin, the medication bottles are both labeled."
Jimin mouth opened and closed a few times, trying to find an excuse. But when he doesn't, he flushed a deep red, and you all break into a laugh again, Jimin pouting adorably.
The atmosphere, however, quickly became quite serious as Namjoon coughed, you and the others looking at your leader who adjusted the glasses that were slipping down his nose.
"I'm sure Jimin will be fine. He did get the basic training taught to him by Seokjin. Anyhow, the real reason we stopped by was to let Y/N and Yoongi know that we've decided to send in Jungkook and Hoseok in to keep an eye on Kang Seulgi for 24/7. They will be rotating shifts and of course, will be hidden. I'm sure Jungkook had already gone around setting up hidden cameras that Taheyung will be keeping an eye on for any suspicious movements from our base," Namjoon sighs as he pinches the bridge of his nose before he tiredly rubbed at his face.
You frown as you see the dark circles under your leader's eyes, you have not seen Namjoon this tired for a long time. Namjoon usually handled stress quite well, and he also did a fantastic job of leading all of you. For this reason, you've only seen him this stressed a handful of times. The most recent being about four years ago when Jungkook and Taehyung had to go into North Korea undercover, acting as bodyguards for Kim Jong-un to get information on the dictator. It was an extremely complicated mission that had stressed and worried you all, especially because the two youngest were assigned to it. It was also only a few years since Namjoon was given full control over the group by Mr. Bang and the mission was long, it took a whole year and a half for it to be completed and the two maknae to return back home safely.
"Joonie, are you okay?" You question as you stand up, approaching the man who now had his eyes open. He gave you a weak smile, nodding. You didn't hesitate to wrap your arms around Namjoon's neck, gently cradling his head. You slowly sit down next to him, still hugging him close.
"I'm just a bit sleep deprived Noona. Something really doesn't add up, and it's making my brain work all of the time. I know we're getting closer to finding out who the killer is, but I just can't understand their motivation," Namjoon admits as he leans into your touch.
The other boys in the room stay quiet, silently watching the scene with soft eyes. They all knew. Sometimes, your leader worked too hard, and he needed a break. That was when you or Jimin came in, being the other member's personal teddy bear. However, some of the members, such as Namjoon, Jungkook, and Yoongi, liked coming to you instead of Jimin. Yoongi for obvious reasons but Jungkook and Namjoon seemed to find more comfort in you because of you being an older female they could confide in. Or maybe it was because of the maternal way you acted.
You hum softly as you rub circles into Namjoon's back, "it's going to be okay, Joonie. We'll put an end to it for sure, I promise," you mumble, placing your chin on his shoulder as you gave him a squeeze. The said male replied with a hum as you pulled away, leaning into him. In response, he leaned against your head, closed his eyes, a soft sigh left his lips as his muscles relaxed. A few moments later, his breath deepened, and not long after that, you all heard a soft snore, a sign that your tired leader had fallen asleep. You smiled, running a hand through his hair, scratching lightly at his scalp before looking up.
Your eyes meet with Yoongi, who's sitting across from you with a small frown on his face as he gazed at the sleeping Namjoon worriedly. When he sees that you're looking at him, he sends you a tight-lipped smile before starting a whispered conversation with Jin and Jimin, making sure they didn't wake up the sleeping man from his nap.

"I'm hungry." A whine leaves your lips as you throw your head back, your weight making the couch you're sitting on sink lower.
Your eyes sweep across the room, your words catching the attention of the two boys who sit together, organizing a bouquet of flowers diligently. Well, at least one of them was, the other scrolling through his phone with his feet kicked up onto the table in front of him. Not being of any help, you must add.
"We just had lunch like an hour ago, Noona," Guanlin responds to you in amazement, looking up from his phone with his eyebrows raised.
You snort, not bothering to lift your head up. "Um yeah, that's the point. It's already been an hour since I ate."
You don't see the freshman roll his eyes at your response, his attention going back to his phone. You hear him wince as the character he plays gets KOed, ending with him losing the match.
Your stomach actually decides to growl on you this time, making you sigh miserably. As if replying to you, it growled once more, this time much louder that it reached the ears of both boys who looked at you in amusement. Lucky for you, Jihoon throws an apple at you, the fruit catching you by surprise as it hits your chest with a thud, a gasp leaving your lips. You fumble with the green fruit before it falls onto the ground and becomes bruised, safely holding it in your hand in relief.
The boy sends you a guilty smile as you glare at him, you quickly forgiving him with the expression he throws at you. With an obnoxious crunch, your teeth sink into the fruit, your nose scrunching at the sour taste that spreads over your taste buds. But you hold back a complaint.
Hey, what can you say? Free food is free food.
Now that your stomach was getting satisfied your attention moves to the boy who had given you the fruit. "What are you even doing Jihoon? I thought you said your participation for the Ikebana contest has been canceled this month because of the...." You trail off, realizing and deciding against saying what you were about to seeing that it was a sensitive topic for both boys.
Fortunately for you, it seems like the boys don't realize, or decides to ignore what you were about to say, neither of them looking too comfortable on bringing up the topic of the killings. Which you are quite thankful for. Especially because your team had decided they are two of the few suspects that they were looking into.
"Yeah, but I still enjoy placing a newly arranged bouquet in each of the classrooms used for homeroom. Maybe having a bit of colorfulness in each room will ease the students," Jihoon muttered softly, flashing you a gentle smile that you return.
Your eyes moved back down to the flowers he is arranging and notice he had used a lot of soft colors such as yellow and pink.
Pink.
You suddenly remember something, throwing the remaining apple core into a trashcan few feet away before rummaging through your bag, pulling out your phone.
You ignore how your fingers are sticky and click against the screen a few times, searching the image you had totally forgotten about until that moment. When you do finally find it, you place it in front of Jihoon, the boy looking at it questioning.
"Hey, can you tell me what flowers are in these bouquets?"
It doesn't take long for Jihoon to answer you with ease, the boy taking the phone out of your hand to get a better look. "Pink carnations, azalea, pink camellia, and sweetpea. Whoever gave this must have had a message they wanted to send with it," the boy comments as he returns your phone to you.
You hum, your eyes narrowing as you sit back down, looking at Jihoon in interest. Guanlin was now paying attention as well, the boy taking a seat next to you, peering down at your phone to see the photo.
"What do you mean?"
"Well," Jihoon began as he scratched his cheek, "while carnations have multiple meanings, since it was a pink one, it has the meaning of 'I'll never forget you.' And the same goes for the pink camellia, it has the meaning of 'longing for you.' The azalea, on the other hand, has the meaning of 'take care of yourself for me.' But I've also read that it is the symbolic flower for the Chinese for womanhood," the boy explained with his expression furrowed.
"What about the sweetpea?" Guanlin questioned, genuinely looking interested, his phone put away as he eyed the junior who had a sad look on his face.
Jihoon sighed as he placed the scissors he had in his hand down. "It has many meanings, but none of them are very happy. I personally think of the sweetpea flower to be a farewell flower because it has the meaning of 'good-bye' and 'thank you for the lovely time.' People often gift them to someone who's moving away or at the end of a relationship."
You suck in a breath, suddenly feeling sorrowful as you learned the meaning of the bouquet Daniel had brought to the locked artroom. You hadn't expected your heart to ache for the flirty boy in your class. But how could you not when you learned that he had continued to bring those bouquets to the room Tzuyu was found? You were also reminded how his bouquet was destroyed by Rose when she had toppled it over.
"Why do you want to know, Noona?" Guanlin questioned curiously. However, the boy seems to regret his words, a look of guilt appearing in his eyes as he sees your expression.
You respond with a hum, leaning back and looking up at the ceiling. "I recently went to go visit my younger brothers grave and saw this bouquet placed there so I wondered what it could mean... Thanks for telling me, Jihoon," you mutter the last part, your words barely audible. It was an extremely believable lie, and the two boys nodded in understanding.
You don't notice how the two males share a look of concern, silently mouthing to each other. The two had gotten closer to each other thanks to your introduction, the boys often spending time relaxing in the Ikebana club room when there weren't any lectures, you sometimes joining in.
Jihoon finally speaks, cutting the silence short with his words. "Y/N-Noona, maybe you should go talk to Mr. Park, the new nurse, when you have the chance? I've heard my classmates saying that he's an excellent therapist and is really good job of listening to people's concerns."
"I've heard that as well," Guanlin chimes in as he rests his chin in his hand, his thick-rimmed glasses falling down the bridge of his nose, "some of the girls in my class were gushing about how sweet and cute he is. From what I've seen, he's already snatched up the hearts of the school population."
You're not entirely surprised by the information the two reveal, easily being able to imagine the blonde-haired male happily talking to the students and giving them advice at the best of his capabilities.
When you finally sit up, you see Jihoon eyeing you in concern, a look of uncertainty in his brown orbs. "Do... Do you think it'll be okay to talk to Mr. Park...? He wouldn't have any hidden motives like um, Ms. Ahn, right...?" The male hesitantly questioned, watching for your reaction.
At his words, Guanlin shifts in his seat, a look of uneasiness spreading on his face as Jihoon brought up the dead woman who was the former nurse.
You laugh lightly as you push a strand of hair behind your ear, waving your hand assuringly. "Oh, I'm positive. Mr. Park is nothing like Ms. Ahn, don't worry. I cross my heart and hope to die with that one, I know first hand seeing as he is my cousin."
There's a pause, the two students looking at you in surprise, their eyes blown wide at the information you revealed. Well, at least the false information you and Namjoon had decided on after he had his nap.
"What?"
You release a chuckle as you cross your legs, getting comfortable, "Jimin's my cousin, he's my father's older sister's oldest son. And I know how much of a hard worker he is. He genuinely cares about all the students although he just arrived, so I totally recommend going to talk to him if you feel like you just have to relieve some stress and worry. He'll listen and give you the best advice."
Guanlin snorts as he shakes his head. "Who are you exactly, Noona? Are you related to everyone?" The dark-haired male questions with an exasperated sigh.
You laugh at that, grinning widely as you flip your hair in an over-exaggerated way, "what can I say? I guess our family all have these amazing, smart, and good looking gene," you joke, making both boys join in your laugh.
Even though you know all this is a lie, you can't help but act prideful of your 'family.' Well, they are your family, but not in the way they all might think.
The conversation takes a brighter turn as the boy suddenly bring up a topic you hadn't heard about. Something that makes you taken back.
"A dance?" You questioned with your eyebrows furrowed, not being able to keep up with the conversation,
"Oh!" Jihoon gasps as he clasps his hands together. "You might not know this because you and Yoonji-sunbae-nim transferred this year, but our school has a yearly dance!"
You hummed, wondering why you haven't heard of this so-called dance.
"It's one of the bigger events we have at school! But with all these incidents, there was a rumor saying it might get canceled this year, but apparently, the seniors pushed to have it continued because it is their last year," Jihoon energetically explained, obviously excited about it.
Guanlin nodded, "although I haven't experienced it yet seeing that I'm still a freshman, I've heard about it from the upperclassmen. It is actually quite well known, and a lot of students decide to come to this school just for that reason. It's a big thing with all these fancy stuff, so I heard it's really crazy." You're taken back that even Guanlin, a nerdy kid like him sounded excited about this event.
"It's where everyone dressed up all fancy but each year, there's a different theme. But this year, it's been so pushed back that they're saying it might be a Halloween theme, which is something we've never done seeing that it's usually done during the spring." Jihoon continued on explaining. However, he pauses as he eyes you, a shy look appearing on his face. "And people usually go with a partner..."
"Oh," you muttered, raising an eyebrow, "a partner...? I see...."
"It's okay, Noona. If you don't have a partner, I'll go with you so you won't be lonely," Guanlin cheekily chimed, sending you a rare grin.
"Yah! No way, Guanlin! If Noona doesn't have a partner, I'll go with her especially since I've been to these kinds of dances before!" Jihoon is quick argues, quickly starting a banter between the two of them.
You chuckle as they argue, but you quickly dismiss the thought as you silently think you'll have to talk to Yoongi about this. You were almost positive he hadn't heard of this as well.
But a small part of you hoped you wouldn't still be here when the dance does happen.
