It was an average school day. The only difference was, that today was the last day of elementary school. You walked around the school grounds, talking with your friends, discussing future plans or holiday plans. Your exterior looked perfectly calm but you were shaking inside. Panic and worry bubbling in your chest. Since it was the last day of elementary school, you decided to finally profess your love for a certain boy and his boxy grin. You knew that you were moving to a different middle school and that you weren't going to see your crush again. So you took this opportunity. You let out a deep shaky breath, your friends supporting you along the way. You finally see him smiling with that famous boxy grin that makes you melt every time. Taehyung faces you when Jungkook nods your way, Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jimin also facing your way. Taehyung smiles at you and waves. You freeze on the spot, unsure of what to do. Your friends push you forward and you stumble towards your crush.

"Hey (y/n)!" Taehyung exclaims, grinning.

"Uh, hey Taehyung. Um, this is for you." you quickly thrust the letter into his hands and you step back. You look down, fiddling with your fingers. You notice him opening it and reading it with no expression on his face and that's when you panic. He shows his friends and the bell rings. You run away, your whole being embarrassed. You promised yourself that you would never bring that up again and you were relieved that you wouldn't feel embarrassed every time you see your crush since you were moving far away. What you didn't know was that Taehyung was also moving to your middle school and that you would see him every day.

When you attended the first day of middle school you turned completely red, still having strong feelings for Taehyung. Taehyung and you stuck together as you both knew each other only in the unfamiliar middle school. You buried your feelings, thinking that Taehyung would have forgotten about the letter and became friends with him. That same year and the year after, your love for him grew and you both grew close as best friends but that started to dwindle when Taehyung had gotten a girlfriend and started spending less time with you. You stayed friends with Taehyung, not wanting to break his new relationship. You were happy that he was happy, smiling for him whenever he talked about his girlfriend to you. You didn't want to come in between him and his girlfriend, you supported him the whole way. Eventually, your love faded completely in your last year of middle school and you turned your complete attention to your education. Attending the first few days of high school was hard, the work, classes, the drama but you were ok, having your new best friends by your side. You didn't spend as much time with Taehyung but you both were still close as friends. Eventually, Taehyung had broken up with his girlfriend after a year when he found out that she was cheating behind his back. But, he wasn't sad, he was happy.

Taehyung, though he had a girlfriend, started developing feelings for you in the last year of middle school. He was confused and conflicted, not knowing what to do. He wanted to spend all his time with you but his girlfriend took him away from you. He worried that you wouldn't stay friends with him and he did everything in his power to spend all his time with you. He didn't know when he started growing these feelings but he knew that he wanted you by his side. He couldn't start the day without hearing your voice in the morning, seeing your bright smile when you talk with your friends and your sassy attitude when it comes to other boys hitting on you. He even loved the small things about you. The way you would crinkle your nose in disgust, or when you listened to loud music when studying or the way you were loud whenever you were excited with your friends but absolutely shy in front of new people. So when he found out his girlfriend was cheating behind his back, he was so happy, now finally having a reason to be by your side.

Starting the last year of high school, you were determined to work hard till you graduated. It was a normal day as you entered through the high school doors. The only difference was that your phone had not charged and died in the middle of the night. Your phone was your only alarm and you had woken up late.

"Please don't ring, please don't ring!" you whisper out as you run to your locker. You were successfully able to put your bag in your locker and grab your books when the bell rings. "Oh thank god." walking to your homeroom, you hear someone calling out your name. You turn around to see Taehyung as he slung his arm around your shoulders. "Hey."

"Whoa. What happened to your hair?" Taehyung laughs as you shake out of his grasp, trying to fix your hair. You pout at him as he continues laughing.

"My phone died cause I didn't put it on charge properly." Taehyung releases a strained breath, finally able to see your face and hear your voice, since he tried calling you so many times but you never picked up. He lets out a chuckle, grabbing your hand.

"Well now that you're here, let's get to class."

It was lunch and you headed over to your group of friends as they sat around one of the large tables with their own lunches, some eating the cafeteria lunch.

"Hey guys!" some greet you as you sit down between one of your friends and (b/f/n).

"Hey (y/n)!" You start talking with your group not noticing a figure creeping up from behind you. Taehyung signals to your friends to stay quiet, a finger to his lips as he grins maliciously. Taehyung suddenly jumps at you, tickling your sides.

"AHHHHH!" you scream out loud then burst out laughing as Taehyung continues to tickle you. "T-Taehyung! N-no! S-stop!" Taehyung laughs as well as he hugs you from behind, squeezing your waist and spinning you around. Your friends all grin and laugh knowing full well what Taehyungs intention was. You break free from Taehyungs grip and run away, laughing knowing that Taehyung was chasing you. You head down the halls, classrooms zooming past your eyes as well as students being blurred. You see an open classroom ahead and run straight towards it, closing the door and hiding behind the teacher's desk. Staying silent, you try to regain your breath, grinning at what had just happened. You shake your head at how childish Taehyung was acting today until your breath hitches in your throat. You hear the door open and you curse yourself for not locking it.

"(y/n), I know you're in here." Taehyung sings, hearing the smugness in his voice. You stay quiet, hoping he would leave. Taehyung locks the door quietly before looking around, leaving the teacher's desk last to check. He instantly knows you were hiding there and slowly walks behind your crouched figure. Trying not to laugh out loud, he shouts out. "BOO!"

"AHHH!" you scream in fright, jumping up and falling on your behind. You look up to see Taehyungs face close to yours. You scoot back as Taehyung comes forward to tickle you again. "Not again you cheeky boy!" you laugh and get up before running towards the door. You try to open the door and realise it was locked. Before you could unlock it, you get spun around and pushed towards the wall. You look up wide-eyed as Taehyung trapped you between his hands. You notice him not smiling at you but just starring, his eyes slowly wandering around your face. He smiles slightly and you gulp. "T-Taehyung?" Taehyung lets down his hands, trailing them down your arms and holding you by your waist. He moves forward, leaving no space between your bodies. You place your hands on Taehyungs chest to stop him but he grabs your hands, lacing his fingers with yours. "S-stop. P-please." You whisper. Your mind reels, looking at your entwined hands than up at his face. Taehyung frowns at you slightly. He moves his head closer towards yours and your heart starts to beat faster. You turn your head away, your chest heaving as you feel your hair around your neck get moved, soft fingertips brushing your skin. You breathe heavily when you feel Taehyungs hot breath fan your neck, his nose nuzzling you softly.

"Do you know how much I love you?" he whispers softly and your eyes widen. Taehyung leans back to see your face. Mouth agape, you stand there speechless.

"What?" you frown at this not knowing how to respond as you did not feel the same way for the said boy in front of you.

"(y/n). I don't know if you feel the same, but, I've loved you for a long while now. I couldn't stop thinking about you even though Jisoo was my girlfriend. It was only you on my mind. Always." Taehyung leans his forehead on yours and you close your eyes, tears brimming the edges.

"Taehyung i-"

"I still have your letter." your eyes open at that. Remembering the letter you gave him all the way back in elementary school. You shake your head and push Taehyung away from you.

"Taehyung. I, don't feel the same anymore." You look back at Taehyung and he looks defeated. "I've loved you for two years but it hurt seeing you with another girl. But I didn't want to be the cause of you breaking up. Eventually, I buried those feelings away till they were gone. I'm sorry Taehyung. I, just don't feel the same anymore." You sigh, about to walk off when Taehyung grabs your wrist, pulling you towards his chest. You gasp and he hugs you tight, holding on to you as if for dear life, his head buried in your neck.

"Please." His voice cracks and your heart sinks. "I know that I've hurt you. But please. Give me a chance. Please let me love you, let me hold you. Let me by your side." you stay silent, unsure of what to do. You weren't sure what to feel at the moment. Your mind was saying no but your heart was saying something the complete opposite. Maybe you have never let those feelings for Taehyung go. You loved how warm he felt at the moment. You loved how he held you like you would break if he let you go. You loved those cute moments you had within the past few years, how childish he is but protective at the same time.

"Maybe true feelings never disappear." You nod, whispering. You smile when Taehyung hugs you tighter. Taehyung leans back and takes you by surprise. He places a hand on your cheek caressing it before kissing you. You gasp, knowing that your old crush took your first kiss. Taehyung takes advantage and kisses you more deeply. Your whole mind buzzed, your wrap your arms around Taehyungs neck as he wraps an arm around your waist, the other tangled in your hair. Taehyung suddenly lifts you up, your legs around his waist as he pushes you towards a wall. Your back arches from the cold surface, gasping as Taehyung dives to your lips again, as if ravishing them. You let out a moan as Taehyung slips his tongue into your mouth. Air was needed and Taehyung slowly parts from your lips hesitantly. He gives you one more quick peck, smiling down at your blushing face, hugging you once more.

"Thank you (y/n). For giving me a second chance."
