It was quite a chilly afternoon, the cloud being quite dark and ominous. They hung in the sky like dark blankets, the sun barely peeking through to warm the earth. The wind had picked up in temperature and strength, people shivering as they were threatened to be pushed over. You were walking along the almost deserted footpath casually in your big jumper, beanie, scarf, and jeans. You were heading home after coming back from the vet. You had a part-time job there as a trainer, seeing as you had a fondness for animals. As you were walking past a dark alleyway, you heard something fall, causing you to stop.

"(y/n), you shouldn't." You were a very curious person, needing an explanation for anything and this was one of your weaknesses. No matter how dangerous looking, you walked back to the opening of the alleyway. You were like a stupid cat with an infinite amount of lives, as you had in past experiences, the almost near deaths or near kidnappings from being too curious. Curiosity does kill the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. You shrugged your shoulders and took your phone out, turning your torch on to light up a pathway. Long the wall, just in front of a dumpster was a rather large cardboard box. Thunder suddenly struck the sky, causing you to jump as well as the box. You stared at it, cocking your head to the side like a puppy. You slowly walked towards it, eyes and mind solely focused on the moving box. You stood before it, the box stopping all movement as if it sensed your presence. You crouched down towards it and quickly opened the flaps. You stared at what was in the box, what was in the box staring back up at you with multiple pairs of eyes.

"Oh my god. Who would do this to you?" You whisper softly as you stared at the little animals that were huddled together for warmth. There was a small black rabbit with blue eyes, its nose twitching, a brown and white ferret with brown eyes, a small orange, white and brown pomeranian with brown eyes huddle close to the bunny and the ferret, a grey and white hamster that slept on top of a baby german shepherd, a small Reeve's turtle and a black and white cat with blue eyes, circling all the animals as if protecting them. They all stared up at you until they all were shocked by the loud thunder. You jumped as well, staring back at the dark rolling clouds, the winding getting colder and the air having a faint smell of rain. You knew it was going to rain soon and you didn't want to leave these poor animals out where they could get wet.

"Hey there. I'm taking you home ok. Please don't be scared, I just want to take you out from the rain." The animals just stare at you, unmoving. You sigh and carefully pick up the box. You struggled under the weight, carefully putting the box back down. "I can't carry you all." you turned your head in the alleyway, waving your torch around to see if there could be anything to help you. You saw a stray metallic shopping cart and quickly ran over to it, bringing it to the box. You opened the flaps again, figuring how to pick the box up. You were about to carefully pick up an animal but the cat hissed at you, you retreating your hand back. "Hey, it's ok. I just need to pick the box up on the cart, but there's too many of you. Is it ok if I move you?" you take your jumper you wore over your shirt and place it on the floor. The cat peaks its head out and stares at the jumper. The cat meows and jumps out of the box and onto your jumper, the other animals falling behind. You helped the hamster and the bunny before helping the little turtle. It snapped at you, almost biting off a finger. The cat meows again and the turtle lets you touch him. You picked up the box and placed it on the cart, moving to the animals again. You weren't unsure if you could touch the other animals until the cat nods as if giving you permission. You helped the bunny on, its nose rubbing on your bare arms that had goosebumps on it, the ferret next as it held onto your arms, the little pomeranian next, it's small body huddling close to your warm one, the small hamster, twitching its small nose up at you, the German shepherd getting up on the cart on its own along with the cat as you helped the turtle. The animals all hide in the box once more and you cover them with your jumper before closing the flap. You quickly stroll the cart home, earning a few weird glances from bypassers. You honestly didn't care, focused on getting these abandoned animals inside your safe and warm home.

"Shit." You felt a raindrop on your face and instantly ran faster, trying not to scare the animals from any bumps along the way. The rain had heavily poured down, your whole body drenched. Your hair and clothes stuck to your body as you hoped the animals were not wet. Once you reached your apartment building, you scanned your card and stroll the cart in, thanking God that no one was in sight or you would have been in trouble for bringing in a cart. You enter the elevator and punched the floor number in, waiting patiently before coming out and quickly opening the door. You had lived in a two-person apartment, being rather large even for two people and owned the roof as you were on the top floor. You opened the box to see the animals all asleep and dry. You let out a relieved sigh, grabbing a bunch of blankets and pillows and setting them down in the living room. It was like a mini fort. You went over to the box to see the cat peak his head out and looking around at its new surroundings.

"H-hey. Can I m-move t-them?" The cat nods and hits the German shepherd on the head, his head shooting up in surprise. The cat meows and jumps out from the cart, the German shepherd following suit and huddling in the blankets. You slowly picked up the sleeping hamster, laying it on a pillow, the ferret next to him along with the turtle, the Pomeranian on another pillow and the bunny laying next to him. You draped a blanket over all of them, all eyes now staring up at you as they were all awake. You sat down in front of them, shivering and teeth chattering. "A-are you a-all h-hungry?" The animals all stared up at you as you stood up, going to the kitchen. As a vet, you knew what every animal preferred to eat, thanking for the extra supplies you stored away. You placed a bowl in front of each of the animals, ignoring the shivers you gained. As you placed a bowl in front of the bunny, a droplet fell on his nose, him twitching it in surprise. "S-sorry." you stuttered and the bunny nudged your arm. You looked at him as he moved his head to the side. "W-what is i-it b-buddy?" He nudged your wet clothes and breathed out hot air as if he was mad, ears twitching. "Y-you w-want m-me to c-change?" The bunny nods and you look at in surprise, staring at the other animals as well and seeing them nod their heads. "O-ok." You stand up and head to your bedroom, closing the door before heading for a warm shower and new dry clothes. After you were done, you went to check on the animals and see them still awake.

"You should sleep. It's late." Thunder suddenly struck and you heard whimpers and little cries from the animals. "Hey, it's ok, it's ok. I'm here." the animals calm down when you gently rubbed their heads, your presence alone calming them. You went back to your room and grabbed your pillow and blanket, laying them down in front of the animals so you lay sideways to them. They stared at you with curious eyes as you lay down on your side, draping the heavy quilted blanket over you. You fixed the multiple blankets you laid over the animals once more. You lay on your pillow, an arm under your head as you smiled at the animals, seeing their eyes closing, all huddled together. "Goodnight little ones."

The sun rose up and shone bright rays through your windows, blinding your eyes. Your body had become instantly hot, sweat beading your skin. You hid under the blanket, trying to hide from the sun as your body ached. You groan out from discomfort, pushing the blanket away. You were about to get up when you felt multiple bodies laying on you, one draped along your neck, one laying just above your breasts, one on either side of you hugging an arm, one laying on either side of your head on the pillow and one laying on your stomach. You looked around and realised the animals had all slept with you. You blush, aweing at the animals and how cute they were. The turtle and the bunny were laying on the pillow, the German shepherd and cat laying beside you, the ferret laying across your neck, the little hamster laying just above your breasts and the little pomeranian laying your stomach. You moved your arms from the hold of the cat and the German shepherd before carefully picking up the ferret and the hamster and laying them on your pillow. The little Pomeranian was clinging onto your shirt and you had to carefully pry his paws off before laying him against your pillow, moving the cat and the German shepherd next to him as you draped the blanket over them. Your nose suddenly started to tickle and you quickly ran to the bathroom before sneezing. Your sneezes were extremely loud and you definitely didn't want to wake up the sleeping animals. Walking back, you saw the animals all stare at you, except for the turtle, he was still asleep.

"Oops. I woke you up. Go back to sleep. It's early." the animals all comply and lay back down as you had started to cook breakfast. They all watched you, especially when you continuously sneeze.

"I feel bad for her." the bunny twitches his nose, staring up at you.

"Yeah, she got wet yesterday." The ferret yawned, curling up.

"And now she's sick." The pomeranian whines, scratching the blanket.

"What can we do anyway?" The German shepherd lifted its head to look at you and laid it back down.

"I'm not sure. I don't trust her." The cat licks its paw, starting to groom itself as the turtle stays silent the whole time. You had started sniffling and you picked up your phone, dialing your boss.

"Hello?"

"Hey boss." you sniffle and your scratchy voice was instantly detected. The cat's ears pick up on the conversation, still not being able to trust you. The other animals all silently watch as well as the turtle, being finally awake.

"Are you ok (y/n)? Did you get sick yesterday?"

"Yeah. I got caught in the rain yesterday and now I can't come to work."

"It's ok. Come back when you feel better ok. Rest for now."

"What about the animals in the vet? There's too many for you to look after."

"(y/n), its ok, i'll get someone to help me. You have to get better ok."

"Ok." You end the call and you turn around to see the animals stare at you silently. You were a little creeped out, waving shyly at the animals. "Uh hey?" You went back to cooking.

"She works at a vet." the bunny jumps up, the ferret doing the same.

"She cares for animals." The pomeranian barks as the cat stares at you

"I guess we can trust her." the cat meows, laying down.

"I smell food." the German shepherd shoots its head up, the others doing the same.

"Her food tastes amazing." The ferret jumps around the turtle.

"Yeah." the turtle nods it head before sleeping. You had come back with a bowl of food for each once again, sitting in front of them and eating cereal.

"I should name you." The animals all perk up this. You point to the bunny. "Hmmm, Jungkook."

"I like that name." Jungkook twitches his nose, jumping over to your and nudging your arm. You giggle and pet him before turning to the ferret and picking him up.

"I'll call you Taehyung." You giggle as Taehyung licks your nose.

"I love that name!" you put down the ferret and the little pomeranian jumps up to you, its little tail wagging. You scratch his head, smiling down at him.

"I'll call you Jimin." The puppy pouts, jumping in your lap.

"That's a girls name. But I like it since she named me." (A/n: not making any assumptions about 'Jimin' being a girls name. It's just for the sake of the story.) The pomeranian barks and you put him down. You picked up the little hamster and it rubbed your cheek with its head.

"Hello human." The hamster's nose twitches, tickling your cheek.

"Hoseok. A little ball of sunshine." You put the hamster back down and rub the German shepherds head, his tail wagging. "Definitely Namjoon." Namjoon sits up straight as if flaunting his strength and you giggle.

"That name suits me." You pet the little turtle, surprised it didn't snap at you. Its little beady eyes stares up at you as you do the same.

"I'll call you Yoongi." Yoongi blinks as if agreeing before sleeping again and you giggle, petting his shell. You turn to the cat, to see it sitting up so regal and handsome.

"I'll name you Jin. Worldwide handsome." you smile and Jin smiles, meowing.

"Definitely handsome." Jin meows, licking his paw.

"I'm (y/n)" you smile at the animals, all of them making a sound as if trying to say your name.

"She's so nice." Taehyung sniffs the air, before eating.

"She is very pretty." Jungkook twitches his ears as Hoseok nods.

"She's alright." Yoongi stretches out his neck before hiding back in his shell.

"She's very kind." Namjoon and Jimin bark, before eating.

"She looks after us very well." Jin meows before eating. You sit there, eating with them, smiling at the rather unusual band of animals.

That was a few years ago when you found the box of random animals huddled together. You loved your little band of misfits as they loved you as well. They all had unique personalities, Jungkook and Jimin being the very clingy ones. They wanted your attention all the time, staying by your side, even as you showered. You couldn't get rid of them, they had some tactic to get in the room you were in. Taehyung and Hoseok were the playful ones. They loved laying on you, Hoseok laying on your head as Taehyung laid on your shoulder. They would give you playful little bites, asking you to play with them on the roof. Jin and Namjoon were interactive sometimes but enjoyed their space. Namjoon would play with you but would break anything he came in contact with, also being the protective guard dog as it is in his genes. Jin would stay with you as you cooked, handing you ingredients and helping you along the way. As for Yoongi, he loved sleeping. He slept on your pillow all the time. There was one moment where you had a tap running while you were playing music out loud in your apartment. When you went back to turn the tap off, you saw Yoongi under the water and dancing, almost as if shaking his butt. It was honestly the cutest thing ever that you had to record him. All the animals loved sleeping with you or on you and you didn't mind, except for the extra heat that made you sweat.

It was another usual morning, the animals sleeping against or on you. Jungkook was on your right side, his head laying your neck. Jimin was on the other side, your head turned towards him as you slept, his head on your neck. Hoseok and Taehyung had crawled up under your shirt and laid between your breasts, Yoongi sleeping on your stomach as Namjoon slept on your left side and Jin sleeping on your right. The morning light seeped into your room, illuminating your bed you slept on that was devoid of any blanket since you kicked it off from being extremely hot. The light blinded you and you raise an arm to block them. You rub your eyes, about to sit up when you felt the familiar bodies of the animals you adored. You stared down at Hoseok and Taehyung, blushing at where they ended up, knowing they moved around a lot in their sleep. For the past few days, they had been sleeping between your breasts, even though you told them not to. You picked up Hoseok and Taehyung.

"How many times have I told you to not to sleep there?" You shake your head giggling as you placed them on your pillow as you sat up on your elbows, trying to not wake up Yoongi who slept on your stomach. In doing so, you woke up Jungkook and Jimin, them shooting their head up and staring up at you.

"Morning!" Jungkook and Jimin nudge your arms as you giggle.

"Morning to you too." You whisper, trying to not wake the others. That failed when Jimin barked.

"Shut up, I'm tired." Jin meows, going back to sleep.

"It's too early Jimin." Namjoon yawns.

"(y/n)!" Hoseok and Taehyung wake up and crawl to you, Taehyung on your shoulder and Hoseok on your chest.

"Be quiet!" Yoongi snaps, stretching his neck out to glare at the others before sleeping. The animals go quiet before making noise again. You pick up the yapping animals and place them in the living room to roam around. You went to take a shower, locking the door behind you before stripping and filling the tub with water. What you didn't realise was that Jungkook and Jimin had sneaked into the bathroom, seeing you undress in front of them. You tied your hair up and slowly laid down in the tub, sighing out from the warmth. You had added soap, the foam covering your body. You closed your eyes to rest when you heard little scampering. You open your eyes to see Jungkook and Jimin sitting at the edge of the bath ledge and staring at you. You roll your eyes, knowing that they always did this.

"Hey boys." You rubbed their heads before leaning back and closing your eyes. Jungkook and Jimin laid down, watching you rest, staring at the water as the foam starts to disappear, now able to see your body. After showering, you dressed in a nightgown and was resting on a chair as you read. It was the weekend and your day off from work. After your shower, you had dressed and fed all the animals, Jungkook and Jimin being unusually quiet and less active. You were worried but thought that maybe they were just tired. You had decided that you would read for the rest of the day, the animals also being lazy for the day. You were laying down on the couch, your nightgown hiked up a little. You heard a sound and saw Taehyung and Hoseok on the armrest.

"Hi Hoseok and Taehyung." You smiled at them and they instantly ran under your nightgown to rest between your breasts again. It was a shock, feeling their body on you as you were awake, but you didn't want to wake them up. So you let them be as you continued to read. You had fallen asleep and Yoongi crawled up to you, sleeping on a breast next to Taehyung and Hoseok. You woke up sometime after, feeling little licks on your face. He stared until your nightgown covered it again, walking to the kitchen to cook. You weren't feeling hungry so you just prepared the food for your animals. As you laid down their bowls, they all came running in as you giggle. You sat against the couch, Jin and Namjoon instantly resting their head in your lap, licking you as you giggled once they finished eating.
