It was a classic day at Seoul University. BTS was early at school, practicing for their new international band off in China against multitudes of other schools. They were all working hard, keeping up their image as the 5-year band winners. Within the group were seven members, all varying age, and personality, but one thing was common among all members. They were the popular boys, the players of the school who were known to break many hearts. Jeon Jungkook was the youngest, being known as the bunny type. He could draw any girl in with his kindness but would constantly dump them almost in a week, not being able to stick with one girl for a longer period of time. Kim Taehyung was next, being the same as Jungkook. Girls would fall for his smile and goofy personality before being dumped in a month or so. Park Jimin was able to draw any girl with his sexiness so to say, any girl lusting of him. He would dump any girl after having intercourse going straight for the next prey. Kim Namjoon was the daddy type, he doesn't date, more so uses any girl he wants for his sexual pleasure, whenever and wherever. Jung Hoseok was known to actually date a girl for a long period of time until the perfect time to completely break their hearts and dump them. Min Yoongi would only date a girl for sexual pleasure, using her until he got bored of her body and moving onto to another prey. Kim Seokjin was known to date many girls at once, moving onto another girl if he was bored with one.
Students had started to arrive at school, one of them being you. You were a diligent student, working hard, especially on tests and getting good grades. You were not classified as the usual nerd, seeing as you had an amazing and rather large group of friends. You were an independent student, living alone since your parents died, and also working at numerous jobs to pay for your schooling. You were sometimes invisible to most people but were very good acquaintances with everyone, even the teachers. You had arrived early to school to finish off some homework you weren't able to complete the night before as you had taken over another workers night shift. You were heading to a secret room you had found near the back of the school that was easily accessed through the library. No one had seemed to have found this room yet, this being your safe haven when you just wanted to be alone for some time. With your headphones in loud, you head to that said room, not realising that it was in use. Yawning, you slam the door open, your eyes opening to find yourself standing in front of seven very familiar people. You furrow your brow at them, wondering how they might have found this room. They all glare at you, especially Yoongi and Namjoon whereas Jimin was smirking at you and Taehyung, Hoseok, Jungkook, and Jin paid you no attention whatsoever. You sigh out, knowing that you would have to sit in the library with the rest of loud students. As you were about to turn round, your arm was grabbed, pulling you into the room. The door was closed behind you and you face the seven guys once more.
"How did you know about this room?" Namjoon asks, a leader like aura emanating from him.
"How else. Found it."
"But we found it first." Yoongi growls as you raise a brow at him.
"Did I say that I found it first? No, I didn't." you retort back.
"How are you not reacting to us like the other girls that fawn over us?" Jungkook asks and you glare at him.
"I'm smarter than them, those Barbie dolls." you scoff and Jimin smirks.
"Smartass and feisty. I like that."
"Yo perv, hope you get tested for STD and herpes yeah." Taehyung laughs at this, hunching over as he held his stomach.
"You have a great sense of humor."
"Back off would ya. Not interested." you glare at Taehyung as Jin grins at you.
"You're interesting."
"You already have a group of girls you're dating, use them not me." you wait for Hoseok to say something to you but he stays quiet. "Ahh, so the decent one of the group has nothing to say. Not surprising. You are lacking a few IQ's." you roll your eyes before leaving your once sacred room. Hoseok watches your retreating form, smirking at your amusing personality.
The group had finally finished their last rehearsal before the school bell had rung. The guys took a swig from their bottles, drying their necks and faces with their towels. Each grabbed their bag and had started to head out.
"Practice during breaks." Namjoon explains and the members all rolled their eyes.
"We get it. Practice during breaks." they all say at the same time before dispersing and heading to their classes. Hoseok and Jimin were walking together to their class when the intercom had gone off.
"Jung Hoseok. Come to my office now!" Hoseok smirks, hearing the voice of the pissed off principle. Jimin chuckles, nudging Hoseoks arm.
"What did you do now?"
"Let's say, it took a turn for the worst." Hoseok says, walking towards the principal's office. Not only was Hoseok known for being a player, he was known to play the most devious and merciless of pranks on the school, especially on the principle. Seeing as he was from a rich family, he was able to afford any of the tools that were needed. His parents and his older sister weren't always home, taking months, even years in another country just for business, leaving Hoseok at home. Not like he minded anyway. He hated his parents anyway, doing anything to humiliate them whether it be law wise or academic wise as a way to get back at them. Hoseok opens the principle's door to see a fuming principle. He had his arms crossed in front of his chest, Hoseok laughing at the state of his office. He had come to school the night before and glued the principles belongings on the ceiling, as if the principle was standing the ceiling, upside down.
"Hoseok, seeing as you have so much free time on your hands, I'm forcing you to get a tutor for your miserable grades. Go to the front office to get tutor signups. I will also call your parents about this. Now get out!" Hoseok laughs seeing the principles face go red, closing the door behind him. Hoseok wasn't a complete jerk whos an idiot, it's just that he was a lazy smartass jerk. If it wasn't for him being lazy or busy dating girls, making pranks and attending rehearsals with the band, he would've aced his tests. Hoseok enters the front office and just places his bag behind the person in front of him as if saving his spot. Hoseok just chills out on one of the chairs, moving the bag every so often until it was his turn. Suddenly, the door barged open and you walked in while kicking Hoseoks bag away, standing behind the person.
"Hey! Not cuts! My backpack is holding my place in line. You're behind me." you roll your eyes and scoff at Hoseok as he instantly recognises you from the morning.
"Sorry. There are no holding places."
"Well put it back." You pick up the bag and toss it in the chair next to Hoseok, going back in line.
"You never said back in line or back to you." you retort before Hoseok could reply.
"I'm an injured man. How could you do this to someone who got dumped?" Hoseok lies through his teeth, a hand over his heart.
"Yeah right, I can hear the girl screaming out your name while crying. The girl's bathroom is right next door." Hoseok smirks at your witty remarks, finding you quite amusing.
"Are you saying I'm faking? I might not be able to perform for the internationals! Everyone is freaking out!"
"Oh yeah. Me to. I'm just hiding it behind not caring at all." you roll your eyes, sarcasm dripping from every word.
"Like I care what you think or what you do either." Hoseok scoffs, scrolling through his phone while grinning.
"Did I ask you to care. No." you were next in line when the teacher calls out.
"Jung Hoseok?" Hoseok raises his hand, not starring away from his phone. "Your assigned tutor is (y/f/n)." you curse in your mind, hoping that Hoseok doesn't catch on and know that you were his tutor. "Well great. Seems like you two have already started getting to know one another. Now scram." the teacher growls and the two of you leave the office.
"Also, in my spare time, I tutor dumb players for cash." you say before leaving Hoseok grinning at your retreating form.
"Oh, this is going to be fun."
The bell had rung ending the last class of the day, signaling the end of school. Students run out of class to their lockers before dashing off to either get home or meet their girlfriend or boyfriend. You casually walk out of class before someone grabs your arm and turns you around to come face to face with Hoseok. You groan out loud, snatching your arm away from him.
"Your place or mine?"
"No place. I need to work today." you mumble, hoping that Hoseok doesn't hear the last part.
"Then I'll just follow you to where you work and wait for your shift to end. Or do you want to head over to my place straight after?" Hoseok grins, whispering that last sentence in your ear. You push his head away, still walking to your locker. You hear footsteps follow you and you know that Hoseok was following you. You grab your stuff and close your locker before heading out of the school and walking to work. Hoseok drapes an arm around your shoulder, pulling you to him but you push it way, glaring at him. You plug your headphones in, turning the volume up so you could try to forget a certain player following you to work. You feel Hoseoks arm around your shoulder again and you elbow him in the stomach, hard. You grin walking into the cafe, knowing that he would be in pain for some time. Going to the change rooms, you put your stuff away in the locker and get changed for work. You wore black pants and a shirt along with the cafe hat and the beige apron. Walking out, you grab a pen and notepad, ready to serve the customers for the next few hours. Hoseok watches you from a secluded booth, how you serve the customers quite efficiently and quickly while you boot out the rude ones with a snappy roast. He wonders what else that little mouth and body of yours could do, eyeing your figure and smirking.
"What can I get for you sir?" you grumble out, this being the 5th time Hoseok has requested of you but hasn't ordered.
"I haven't decided. I will call you again next time." you groan, you hand clutching the pen and notepad tightly, almost snapping them both in two. You head to the next secluded booth of customers that were somewhat the same age as Hoseok. He realised that this group of boys were from a different school. Their attitude not matching their prestigious uniform. Hoseok narrows his eyes at the group as they cat called you and wolf whistled. Some touch your arms inappropriately as you tried to take their order. None of the staff was able to notice what was going on, the activity being blocked by the booth itself.
"How about we order you out to go?" One of the guys grab hold of your arm and pulls you down. You struggle to get out of his grasp, another grasping your other hand down on the table. You struggle even more to escape from their hands when another one of them starts to slowly unbutton your shirt. Hoseok stands up and rushes to the group, rescuing your arms from the boys. He wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you to his side as he growls at the guys.
"Back off of my girlfriend." Hoseok growls as you button up your shirt, glad that this obnoxious player came to help. The guys sneer at Hoseok, before leaving the cafe. You push Hoseok away, continuing your shift. He just stares at you as you work, not a single 'thank you' being sent to him. Hoseok goes back to his booth and notices a caramel macchiato on his table with a note next to it.
'Could've solved that problem on my own but thnx, it's on the house'
Hoseok grins and turns to you as you salute him, turning back to serve a customer. He chuckles lowly, taking a sip from his free drink.
Hours fly by and Hoseok had fallen asleep in the booth, none of the staff bothering to wake him up as you begged them not to. You were the last worker as the cafe was closed and the last customer had left. You went to the change rooms and got changed back into your casual clothes. You come back out with your backpack and sit in the seat opposite of Hoseok. You watch Hoseok sleep for a few seconds, smiling softly at how innocent he looked without that player aura. His elbows were on the table, his head resting in both his hands, snoring softly. Shaking your head, you try to wake Hoseok, nudging his shoulder hard. Suddenly, you get pulled across the table, Hoseok grabbing your arm and hugging it. You let out a small squeak out in surprise, trying to get your arm out from Hoseok's vice-like grip.
"Hoseok! Wake up!" you yell, still trying to get him to let you go. Your arm was held up to his face as he hugged it, causing your face to end up extremely close to his. You could smell Hoseoks cologne, noticing every small feature on his face. As you try to pry your arm away, you twist it in a painful way, causing you to wail out in pain. "AHHHH!" Hoseok suddenly wakes up, jolting back as you quickly sat back in your seat. Hoseok sees you sitting in front of him, cradling your arm.
"What happened?"
"You happened!" You growl out trying to flex and move your fingers. You struggle to get feeling in your arms, your fingers twitching a little as you try to move them. Hoseok sighs, softly grabbing your arm and massaging it, apologising numerous times.
"I'm so sorry."
"Never thought I would live the day to hear those words leave your mouth." you say, taking your arm back as you finally gain some feeling. Hoseoks lips thin into a tight line watching you as you took out painkillers and downing two along with a swig of water. "Ok player. Let's get to work." Hoseok takes his books out as well as yours.
"Yeah, before we dive in, I wanna be clear with me being here." you raise a brow at him, sitting back with your arms crossed in front of your chest. "I'm not a complete idiot." you scoff loudly at Hoseok. "I'm just here to get my parents off my back ok. So, instead of you actually tutoring me, why don't we head back to my place and have some fun there?" Hoseok smirks at you, leaning across the table. You push his head back with a finger on his forehead.
"I'm here to earn money, not screw around with guys like you. I wouldn't be here wasting my time with you if I didn't need to." you open your books, already doing your homework. You look up to see Hoseok on his phone, mucking around. "Ok, do you want me to put music on so you can show off your body or what? Cause I don't see you moving to do your work here." Hoseok smirks at you, putting his phone down.
"Are you interested in seeing me naked?"
"No. Are you really that daft to not notice me mocking you?"
"Are you sure? Sculpted abs, thick locks and don't forget my piercing brown eyes."
"Boy do you love yourself some you. Narcissist."
"Maybe we got on the wrong foot here, with you sassing me. Not like I don't like it. Rather, I'd see what else those pretty pink lips of yours can do." You gag, covering your mouth with a hand.
"Don't you dare go there. It's disgusting."
"I don't get how you don't fawn over us like the other girls. Especially when we dance. I don't think you realise what service we provide for the public. We are responsible for the 5 year winning streak and the many trophies we win. Along with endlessly looking cool and sexy."
"Oh my god! All that coolness and sexiness is you? Thank you so much!" you sarcastically say, faking a gasp before working on your studies again. Hoseok groans, no other reaction gained from you. He sits back in his seat, watching you work, practically giving up.
"You always this much fun?"
"Unless you don't open that book of yours, your parents aren't going to back off of you."
"Why are you so focused on studying so hard? You should be going to parties and having fun." you sigh, putting your pen down as you stare at Hoseok.
"Unlike snobby rich people like you, us underprivileged people need to work harder to be financially supported in the future. That means doing good in school to get a good job." Hoseoks smirk falters, hearing your words. "I have to work harder. I only have myself to support me. You have your parents to cater your every need. You practically get everything handed to you on a gold platter. I don't have my parents. They're dead." Hoseoks mouth widens a little, hearing that your parents were dead. Anger suddenly bubbles in him when were accusing him of being inferior to his parents.
"Look here. I don't butter up to my parents just to get whatever I want. I do that myself, I do things my way. I don't need my parents when they certainly don't need me." Hoseok mumbles the last sentence but you clearly hear him.
"And what did you mean by them not needing you?" yes you were being nosy, but you wanted a little glimpse of this guys life, seeing why they are like they are. Hoseok glares at you and you back off, arms raised. "Ok, jeez."
"You scored 0 out of 20. Are you even trying!?" you exclaim as Hoseok just huffs out. You were still at the cafe, and it was a little past 12. You were getting tired quick, work taking a toll on you. You took a sip from your coffee, handing Hoseok his practice test papers.
"It's not like I need of any of this maths." Hoseok replies back and you lay your head on the table.
"That's it. I give up." you mumble into the table. "You do realise that you have a test tomorrow." you mumble out, head still on the table.
"So what. I won't be at school tomorrow anyway. I'm going to a party at the beach. You should so come." you hear the smugness in Hoseoks voice, knowing he just wanted to see you in a bikini.
"Why bother. I need to work anyway."
"Come on. Skip for one day and come with us." Hoseok pleads and you shake your head. You sit back up, dragging your arms down your face.
"Unless you suddenly ace this next practice test, I ain't going nowhere."
"So I'm hearing that you will skip work and come to the party if I ace this next practice test before my real one?" Hoseok grins and you yawn out, head in your arm.
"Whatever. Not like you will be able to. Here's a little fun fact. Attractive people like you are not very bright." You wave at Hoseok, not registering what you just told Hoseok until you open your eyes to see Hoseok in the same position as you, his face extremely close to yours.
"I knew you'd find me attractive." you blink, a faint blush on your cheeks as you back away.
"I didn't mean it that way and you know it." You started to explain a chapter in a history textbook as Hoseok watched you ramble on. He smiles at you, his interest in you peaking but not in a sexual way. He wanted to actually know more about you. Before you know it, Hoseok had leaned over the table and kissed you deeply. Your voice was muffled, Hoseok tilting his head to deepen the kiss. Your eyes flutter close, a hand at Hoseoks cheek, his hand on yours. Hoseok parts away, sitting back in his seat smirking at you. Your cheeks were flushed red as you froze, blinking at Hoseok.
"I knew you would fall for me." Your shocked face soon morphed into a pissed off face, tears brimming your eyes. Hoseoks smirk falls completely as you angrily packed up your stuff, pulling Hoseok up from his seat and pushing his stuff in his hands. You kick him out of the cafe onto the street as you locked the doors. You turn to Hoseok and he sees a tear running down your face. You slap him across the face before he was about to say something to you.
"How could you? I won't be tutoring you anymore." You turn around and run home, leaving Hoseok feeling guilty for what he did.
