You smile at the memory. It was the first time anyone, especially a boy, did something so nice for you. It was also when you started developing feelings for Yoongi, but you hid them so well, no one knowing you fell in love with the mint-haired boy. But you never believed in love then, you were scared of it, scared of the heartbreak. That's why you always closed off any possibility whenever a guy confessed to you. You never believed them, always thinking that they were doing it for fun. But that still didn't stop the feelings you had for Yoongi. You enjoyed the long hours you spent together texting, the conversation never dying out. You stuck together like glue at school, pairing up almost all the time. You helped each other and also paid each other back. But you weren't the only who had developed feelings. Yoongi had fallen in love with you but was scared to confess. He was scared to be in a relationship, his previous ones causing him heartbreak whenever he was dumped. He was worried you would do the same, but at the same time, knew you wouldn't. You continue scrolling, a blush on your cheeks when you found the entry of the confessions.
It was the weekend and I was just listening to music, reading on my phone. I bobbed my head to the music, humming along until I had heard a huge sneeze from next door. Curious, I looked out the window and saw that Yoongi was doing yard work while coughing and sneezing. Is he sick? He always pushed himself like this. I sighed and headed out of the house, glad that mum and dad weren't home. Walking across the grass barefoot, not like I cared anyway, I tapped Yoongi's shoulder. He jumped and turned around and saw me. His cheeks redden as he looked me in my shoulder off shirt and short shorts. Hey, I get hot easily. Ignoring him, I placed my hand on Yoongi's head, my eyes widened. He's burning up.
"Yoongi! You're sick!" I crossed my arms across my chest, tapping my foot. Yoongi blushed and looked away.
"Yeah." He nodded as I turned the lawn mower off.
"Come on." I took Yoongi's hand, ignoring the butterflies in my stomach and took him to his room. He sat down on his bed as I went to grab a towel and a bowl of cold water. When I came back, I saw Yoongi asleep on the bed, sitting up. The poor baby. I stifled a laugh and had set the bowl down on the bedside table. "Yoongi." I whisper.
"Hmm. (y/n)" Yoongi hummed leaning on my shoulder, hugging me by my waist. I carefully took his hands off and had laid him down on the bed, moving his hair away from his face. "No." Yoongi whined a little and I smiled. I admired his features a little, blushing then looked away when I realised what I was doing. Wetting the towel, I wring out the excess water and placed it on his forehead. I had opened the window to let in some cool air since his room was hot and I went back downstairs to the kitchen to make some soup. When I was finished, I head back and heard Yoongi snoring. I laughed lowly, placing the bowl on the bedside table. I re-wet the towel and placed it on his head. Yoongi slowly opened his eyes as I was leaned over him. I looked down at him, his mouth agape and eyes widened. A blush crept up my face and I smiled at him.
"Hey sleepy head." I leaned back, sitting at the edge of the bed and held onto the bowl of soup, holding a spoon up to Yoongi. Yoongi had sat up and smiled at me tiredly.
"You didn't have to do all this." He said quietly.
"Nonsense. You're sick. Here." I carefully put the spoon in Yoongi's mouth. I kept feeding him until he didn't want anymore. Yoongi then suddenly held my hand and he just looked at me. Yoongi took the bowl and had placed it on the table along with the spoon. "Yoongi?" He then tugged on my arms, pulling me towards him. I blushed when Yoongi hugged me tightly, his head in the crook of my neck. I had felt his hot breath and his arms wrapped tightly around my waist.
"Thank you for everything (y/n)." I had barely heard him but I shook my head smiling.
"It's ok. You know that." I whispered back, hugging him back. Yoongi then pulled us down on the bed and I had let out a little squeal as he rested his head on my stomach and wrapped his arms around my waist. I looked down at Yoongi to see him holding me like a child, nuzzling my stomach. I smiled as I curled around him, threading my fingers through his hair, softly lulling him to sleep. Yoongi's eyes were close, him holding onto me tightly to his chest."Yoongi?" he hummed.
"Let's sleep." He nuzzled my stomach again and I giggled lightly at the sensation. I kissed his head, falling asleep with him.
My throat closed up as I tried to breathe. I had woken up suddenly, me jolting up and sitting up on the bed. I panted lightly, a shudder going through me as sweat trickled down my neck. My heart beating fast and I placed a hand over my chest, clutching my shirt almost in pain. I can't sleep. I can never sleep in peace. I looked over at Yoongi and saw that he was still asleep, but his arms were around my lap. I had let out a sigh, fanning myself a little, wiping the sweat away. I didn't bother fixing my shirt or hair when I was about to get up from the bed. A gasp had left my mouth when hands clutched around my waist, pulling me down on the bed again. My blush darkened when Yoongi's face was inches away from mine. "Y-Yoongi?"
"Are you ok (y/n)?" His eyes looked at me worried. I nodded my head, smiling a little. Yoongi frowned and shook his head. "No, you're not." Yoongi sighed, looking at me.
"I've never been able to sleep properly." I whispered out as Yoongi softly rubbed the dark bags under my eyes.
"That's why." He whispered out, almost as if to himself. "Why?" I had let out a sigh, looking away.
"I'm afraid."
"Afraid of what?" Yoongi had put a hand under my chin and turned my head to face him, eyes filled with concern. His face softened when he saw me having trouble telling him.
"Afraid that I wouldn't wake up again." I gulp and closed my eyes. One of his hands caressed my cheek, the other around my waist. I had opened my eyes as Yoongi looked at me with an emotion I couldn't explain, his forehead on mine. My chest rose up and down fast, my heart beating faster as Yoongi smiled almost lovingly at me.
"You were always there for me. You were always by my side. Helping me in my darkest times. Never wanting anything back in return. I love the way you laugh, your smile that lights up my dark world." Yoongi had stared at my lips, his fingers brushing my bottom lip. "I love your soothing words," he held up one of my hands and then kissed the back of it, sending tingles down my arm. "I love your soothing hands," Yoongi then looked into my eyes smiling brightly than ever. "And I love you." my breath had hitched in my throat. I closed my eyes as Yoongi kissed my nose, then my eyes, my cheeks and then my forehead. I opened my eyes again frowning, tears springing at the corners of my eyes. Yoongi got worried, wiping away a tear.
"W-why me?" No, he can't really love me, can he? Yoongi smiled down at me as if sensing the doubts in my mind.
"I love how you get sassy with people that disrespect you, that arrogant and stubborn attitude of yours and your undeniable strength. But the one thing I love the most about you is your heart. I love how you take care of people. I love it the most though when you take care of me. You understand me, what I'm going through and you never push, never get angry. Now it's my turn to look after you. To take care of you and scare away your demons. It's my turn to be by your side. It's my turn to soothe your worries away as you've always done for me." I had let out a shaky breath, pushing away my doubts but one still lingers.
"I-i don't know how to love someone. Or what it's like. I don't know what to do. I've never been in love with someone before. You are my first." Yoongi hugged me tightly, me clutching tightly on his shirt. Yoongi released me, his forehead on mine.
"Let me love you then. Please (y/n)." his lips had brushed over mine as if asking permission. I had nodded my head once and he captured my lips with his. I gasped at the feeling of his soft lips on mine. I closed my eyes, tilting my head, deepening the kiss. Yoongi turned us over, me under him as my hands were in his hair as one of his was in mine, the other wrapped around my waist.
"What are you doing up so early?" you screamed out, almost throwing the laptop at the sleepy Yoongi. You look at him as he rubbed his eyes sleepily, letting out a yawn.
"Omo! Yoongi! Don't scare me like that." you let out a breath, clutching your nightgown just above where your heart was beating fast. Yoongi looks at you and the coffee on the table, realising why you were awake. He sighs and sits next to you on the couch as you place the laptop on the table.
"Couldn't sleep?" you shake your head, frowning that you were being a burden to Yoongi. Yoongi lifts you on his lap, pushing your head onto his bare chest. You let out a sigh in content at the warmth as Yoongi rocks you back and forth, his head on top of yours. "You're not being a burden to me." Yoongi says in your hair, taking your left hand and kissing the ring on your finger. "And you will never be. Remember, it's my turn to take care of you." Yoongi replies, looking down at the woman he loves with all his heart. He watches as you turn around on his lap, your legs around his waist and your head resting in the crook of his neck. He smiles brightly, hearing your breath slow down as you started to fall asleep. He smiles knowing it was him that helped you fall asleep easily and in peace. He kisses your head, remembering all the times after the two of you confessed. You were perfect when it came to loving him, you didn't do anything wrong. He was glad you became his girlfriend and now wife, being able to love you more. He enjoyed every minute of it and he would continue to love you. He was worried that he would do something wrong for you to leave him but you loved him so much and that filled Yoongi's heart with happiness. Even when the both of you had your fights, you both would make up after, apologising to each other. Yoongi had never loved someone as much as he loved you. He was always considerate of you, asking if you were ok with anything, especially when he wanted to make love to you. Yoongi watches as you raised your head and sleepily kissed his cheek. Yoongi smiled brightly at that, raising your head to face his. His eyes soften when you smile sleepily at him. You caress his cheeks, kissing his nose.
"I love you Yoongi." you say quietly. Yoongi softly grabs your head and kisses you hastily. You wrap your hands around his neck, playing with his hair. Yoongi wraps an arm around your waist, the other moved to your cheek, caressing it softly. Yoongi parts from your lips, not before biting and tugging on your lips softly. He moves his lips down your jaw, butterfly kisses on your neck. You hum softly at the sensation as Yoongi kisses down softly at your collarbone, hands on your thighs and lifting up the hem of your nightgown. He lifts his head up to face you, you seeing the love and adoration in his eyes. He smiles brightly at you.
"I love you (y/n)."
