Sacrifice~J.JK pt.2

Jungkook started ignoring her again, she was confused why he is behaving this way. She did feel a connection with him and she is sure he felt it too that night. But Jungkook's behavior was hurting her. She tried to talk to him but he didn't talk to her.

She was waiting in the room, it was already 1 AM and Jungkook was not in the room. He usually sleeps on time when he has work. She stood up and went to check where he was.

Because he was home, she knows that. His car keys were there too. Maybe he went for a walk?

Then she found him, he was sleeping in the guest room.
__

Y/n stepped into the dimly lit living room, She noticed Jungkook sitting on the edge of the couch, his eyes fixed on the flickering television screen. She cleared her throat softly, catching his attention.

"Jungkook, we need to talk," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. He turned his head slightly, his gaze meeting hers with a mixture of avoidance and reluctance.

"I've noticed you've been distant lately. Is there something on your mind?" she asked, her heart pounding against her chest. She tried to hold his hand.

Jungkook's jaw tensed, and he finally turned off the television, his expression a mix of frustration and resignation. "I can't keep pretending everything is fine. We both know it's not."

Y/n's hands trembled slightly as she reached out to touch his arm. "I want us to work things out, to give our marriage a chance. Don't you want that too?"

Jungkook shook his head, a pained look in his eyes. "It is suffocating me, you are suffocating me."

"Am I doing something wrong?"

"Why?" He asked.

"Why?" She was confused.

"Why are you like this?" He asked.

"Like what?" She asked.

"Like this, you don't have your own life, all you do is take care of Yooha, and even me. When you are getting nothing in return." He exclaimed.

"This is my life." She replied.

"Which you did choose, you were forced to give up everything, your dreams, your life." He exclaimed. "Look at me, do you love me?"

She looked at his eyes, and tried to control herself from crying. "Do you love me?" Jungkook asked again.

"We can try, I am sure we will fall in love." She replied.

"No," Jungkook ran his hand through his hair. "I don't want you to force yourself to fall in love with me."

He stood up and left. Leaving her alone, she put her leg on the couch and hugged her legs while crying.

Maybe she can never make a place in Jungkook's heart.

Jungkook and Eunwoo strolled along the serene lakeside path, the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant lapping of water providing a soothing backdrop to their conversation.

Eunwoo glanced at Jungkook, noting the troubled expression etched across his face.

"Jungkook, what's been weighing on your mind lately? You seem distant, even for you," Eunwoo said, his voice laced with concern.

Jungkook let out a heavy sigh, his gaze fixed on the rippling water. "It's Y/n. I feel like she's sacrificing too much for Yooha and me. Her whole life seems to revolve around us. She lost herself in the process. I don't like it, I don't like how she behaves, that's not her."

Eunwoo nodded, understanding dawning in his eyes. "But isn't that what partners do, support each other through thick and thin?"

Jungkook stopped in his tracks, turning to face Eunwoo, his eyes earnest. "You know it too, she sacrificed her dreams to raise Yooha. I never wanted her to do that. And I am sure her sister also didn't want that. I have Y/n for years now. I know how she was before her sister's death. She was a rebellious teen, who was passionate about her dreams. She wanted to become an actor, everyone told her that she can't be one, but she was passionate. Even I was sure how she would handle Yooha. But she changed everything."

"She wanted to do it right, it was her choice." Eunwoo said.

"I don't think it is, she was under family pressure. She even left college because she couldn't handle going to classes and handling Yooha. I want her to have her own dreams, her own aspirations, beyond being just a mother and a wife. I want her to be fulfilled in a way that's not solely tied to taking care of us."

Eunwoo nodded, a thoughtful look crossing his features. "Have you talked to her about this? She might not realize how you feel. Communication is key, Jungkook. You both need to have an open conversation about this. And try to take a step, if you feel like she is doing too much, give her love. Love her back."

"But there is something weird," Jungkook was silent.

"What?" Eunwoo asked.

"I don't understand this, in school Y/n had a playgirl personality, even her own sister Haewon hated it. Everyone knew that, But Y/n is different, in five years I don't think any of the rumors about her were true, I misunderstood her,"

"I feel like an awful person, she was a v'rgin. And she slept with me, just to make this marriage work, she doesn't even love me. It's just too much, she didn't do it out of love. It fcking hurts, I can see it. I can see everything she does, she did it not because she wanted to, but because she had to."

"Jungkook, stop overthinking, just love her." Eunwoo said.

"I do, I do love her, I fcking do. She doesn't. I feel like she is scarifying that too when she shows me love or affection." Jungkook exclaimed.

"Stop thinking too much, she will fall for you too. If you just show her affection."

Jungkook nodded his head.

Y/N is in the living room, anxiously waiting for Jungkook, her husband, to return. The door swings open, revealing Jungkook, staggering and struggling to maintain his balance. His breath carries the heavy scent of alcohol.

Y/N rushes to his side, steadying him as he sobs uncontrollably. She helps him to the couch, concern etched on her face.

"Jungkook, what's wrong? Please, tell me. Are you okay?"

Jungkook's words come out in broken sobs, barely coherent amidst his anguish.

"Haewon."

Y/N's heart clenches at the mention of another woman, but she pushes aside her own pain, focusing solely on comforting Jungkook.

"You're not alone."

Jungkook's tears flow unabated, his voice trembling with sorrow as he continues to speak of his late wife. Not because he wants her, but because he realizes her lies. And wishes she was alive so he could k'll her again.

Y/N fights back her own tears, realizing the depth of Jungkook's grief. She silently wishes she could ease his pain, even though it feels like a dagger through her own heart.

He felt pain because he misunderstood Y/n all his life. And finally got to know about all the misunderstanding created by Haewon.

Jungkook's cries gradually soften, exhaustion setting in. Y/N wraps her arms around him, offering what solace she can, despite the emotional turmoil within her.

Jungkook leans into her embrace, Y/N's warmth, a gentle reminder that he is not entirely alone in his sorrow.

The room falls into a heavy silence, the only sound lingering being Jungkook's quiet sniffles, and the soft hum of the night settling around them.
___

Jungkook reached home, It will be hard, but he was so ready to finally show her love.

Jungkook stepped inside, he was Y/n he tried to hug her and kiss her cheek. But she put her hand over Jungkook's chest, stopping him. She said, "Yooha is sleeping, you don't need to."

Y/n stood before him, her expression grave, clutching a stack of papers in her trembling hands.

Confusion clouded his features as he took hesitant steps toward her. "Y/n, what's going on?" he managed to ask, his voice barely above a whisper.

With tears glistening in her eyes, Y/n handed him the documents. "I can't do this anymore, Jungkook," she murmured, her voice breaking. "I can't keep living like this. Yooha is grown now, and she doesn't need me. I want to give myself a chance, like you said."

Jungkook's heart sank as he scanned the pages in disbelief, his fingers trembling as he read the word 'divorce.'

The weight of her words crashed over him, realization dawning upon him like a storm. He looked up at Y/n, her determined gaze unwavering.

A million words rushed through his mind, but he found himself unable to form even one coherent sentence. All he could manage was a choked, "Y/n, please, let's talk about this."

But Y/n shook her head, a mixture of pain and resolution etched on her face.

"There is nothing I can do. I thought maybe we can be something. But I don't think we can, yesterday I realized that. You kept taking her name."

"What when?"

"You cried the whole night for Haewon." She said,

"No, no, it was like that. I wasn't crying for her. I was just, it's complicated Y/n,"

"Jungkook, I can't be with you, I need to do this for me," she whispered. "I need to find my own path, you were right, I really don't have any life other than you and Yooha, it's a recycled life. I am living Yooha life but in it I get no love."

Jungkook reached out, his hand trembling as he brushed away a tear from her cheek. "I understand," he managed to say, his voice barely audible. "If this is what you need, then I won't stand in your way. But I love you."

"You don't Jungkook."

"I do, Y/n even in the past, I approached Haewon because I wanted to ask about you. But she lied to me about so many things about you Y/n." Jungkook said, "I wish I could turn back time Y/n, I just could just love you. But I can't, so please give this a chance. Please give me a chance. I just want to love you."

He hugged her tightly. "Please Y/n, I love you."

She hugged back, "I am possessive. Just letting you know so you are careful and that the Lina incident doesn't happen again."

Jungkook chuckled, "That leads to us being closer, so I don't mind it."

"Stop it, and I lied to you, I loved you all along. I just don't want you to know." She replied.

Jungkook kissed her forehead, "You are the best thing that happened in my life. I love you."

Flashback,

In the bustling halls of Seongdeok High School, Jungkook found himself drawn to the enigmatic Y/n, whose elusive presence stirred an unexplainable fascination within him. Yet, their paths never seemed to cross, leaving Jungkook longing for a chance to speak to her.

Desperate for insight, he approached Y/n's sister, Hae-won, hoping to unravel the mystery behind Y/n's elusive demeanor.

Hae-won, however, had her own hidden motives, harboring an intense infatuation for Jungkook that bordered on obsession.

Jungkook's footsteps echoed in the empty hallway as he approached Hae-won, who was flipping through a textbook, her eyes darting with concealed interest. "Hey, Hae-won,"

She was surprised that Jungkook talked to her. It has been 4 years that they are in same school, but it's the first time Jungkook mentioned her. "Hi."

"You know Y/n? She is new in school."

Her jealousy at the mere mention of Y/n.

Hae-won's expression shifted imperceptibly, a faint glint of possessiveness surfacing in her eyes. "Oh, Y/n? Yeah, I know her. Why do you ask?"

Jungkook hesitated, feeling a surge of uncertainty. "I just... she seems interesting. I wanted to talk to her, you know?"

A calculating smile curved Hae-won's lips, her voice dripping with false concern. "Oh, Jungkook, Y/n may seem nice, but she's not what she appears. She has a reputation, you know."

Jungkook's brows furrowed, his unease growing palpable. "A reputation? What do you mean? Isn't she your sister?"

Hae-won leaned in, her tone hushed and conspiratorial. "She is but, She's a bit of a playgirl, always toying with boys' feelings. You don't want to get involved with someone like her."

Jungkook's mind whirred with conflicting thoughts, grappling with the image of the kind-hearted Y/n he had imagined and the tainted portrait Hae-won painted. "I... I don't know. She didn't seem like that."

Hae-won's gaze intensified, her voice laced with calculated persuasion. "Trust me, Jungkook. I've seen how she operates. You don't want to end up hurt."

Days turned into weeks, and anonymous notes found their way into Jungkook's locker, each one urging him to steer clear of Y/n, citing fabricated tales of her rendezvous with other boys.

The doubts gnawed at him, clouding his perception of the genuine connections he felt with Y/n.
__

In the bustling hallways of school, Y/n's eyes traced the confident stride of Jungkook, the star of the basketball team, his easy charm drawing whispers and admiration from every corner. With a shy smile, Y/n watched him from afar, her heart fluttering with an innocent infatuation.

"He's just so... amazing, isn't he? I can't believe he's actually here." She mumbled.

Days turned into weeks, and Y/n's crush on Jungkook was nurtured by stolen glances and hopeful daydreams.

But the tranquility shattered when a storm of rumors began to swirl, painting Y/n as a frivolous heartbreaker, her reputation tarnished by insidious whispers of her alleged promiscuity.

Y/n, her voice shaking with emotion, confronted Haewon, her older sister.

"Haewon, what's going on? Why are people saying these things about me? I've never... I've never done any of those things they're saying."

Haewon, her expression pained, hesitated for a moment before revealing the truth, her voice laced with anger and disappointment.

"Y/n, it's Jungkook. He's the one spreading those lies about you. I can't believe he would do this. He's not the person you thought he was." She said.

"What, why would he?" She asked.

The once bright colors of Y/n's high school life now dulled with the weight of betrayal and humiliation

Each gaze directed her way felt like an accusation, each whispered word a reminder of the fabricated deceit that tainted her name.

With her heart heavy and her spirit fractured, Y/n vowed to shield herself from any further pain, building a barrier to protect her bruised emotions from the callousness of the world.

Y/n, her voice barely above a whisper, fought back tears as she spoke to herself.

And so many boys were claiming that they had slept with her. Haewon destroyed the image of her younger sister herself.

He never got to clear his doubts or talked to her as he graduated months later.
__

Jungkook went to college and Haewon went to the same college as Jungkook. Where they become friends.

She invited Jungkook home, and he agreed. He wanted to meet Y/n again but he was taken aback by the unexpected scene, watched in disbelief as Y/n's fervent words clashed with the stern convictions of her conservative family.

Y/n's family is really conservative and She tends to speak up because of that. Jungkook doesn't know the reason why she was arguing with her family, and just considers Y/n rude and mean.

Haewon, standing at the doorway, wore a knowing smirk, her subtle whispers planting seeds of doubt in Jungkook's mind.

As Y/n's voice quivered with emotion, her eyes blazing with an intensity Jungkook had never witnessed, he struggled to reconcile the image of the sweet, soft-spoken girl he thought he knew with the fiery figure before him.

Misinterpreting the situation, he couldn't help but side with Haewon's description, momentarily believing that Y/n was indeed the personification of rudeness and rebellion.

Haewon's cunning grin widened, relishing the chaos she had sown, knowing well that her carefully constructed narrative was taking root in Jungkook's mind.

"What the fck is he doing here?" Y/n asked. Jungkook was confused. "Leave my house."

Y/n still believe that Jungkook created the rumors about her, so she was mad.

Jungkook looked at Haewon, "She is crazy."

And went out. "What did you do? You know what he did in school." Y/n exclaimed.

"Y/n relax that was in school, he is a different guy now. I should go check on him." Haewon went after Jungkook.

_

Three years passed by, and Haewon and Jungkook were just friends at this point. He wasn't willing to have a relationship with her. He didn't meet Y/n this time.

But then one night, Haewon and Jungkook got drunk and slept with each other. Jungkook was surprised himself, he was sure he wasn't that drunk to sleep with someone.

Still he apologized to Haewon and told her it was a mistake.

But after a few weeks, Haewon came to Jungkook. She turns to Jungkook, her hands trembling as she tries to find the right words.

"Jungkook, there's something I need to tell you... I'm pregnant."

Jungkook's eyes widened in astonishment, a mix of shock and concern crossing his features. He takes a deep breath, reaching out to grasp her hands gently.

"Haewon, I...I don't know what to say. Are you okay? What do you want to do?"

Haewon's voice trembles as she continues, her gaze fixed on the ground.

"I... I want to keep it, but my family, they're so conservative. They won't accept this. They'll... they'll kill me if they find out."

Jungkook's expression softens, his thumb gently wiping away a tear from her cheek. He pulls her into a warm embrace, feeling the weight of the moment settle in.

"Listen to me, Haewon. You don't have to be afraid. I'll stand by you. We'll get through this together. We can raise the kid together."

"Jungkook, no. We must get married. My parents will kill me. You don't know them," she said.

Jungkook was silent but Haewon couldn't stop crying. He is not the type to step away from his responsibilities."

"We'll get married, and I'll take care of everything. You're not alone in this." He said. Haewon's eyes met his, her plan worked..

"Jungkook, are you sure? It's not going to be easy."

Jungkook's gaze meets hers with unwavering determination, a reassuring smile gracing his lips.

"I'm sure. We'll figure it out. We'll make it work together."

Haewon's lips trembled as she nodded, she hugged Jungkook.
__

Haewon, cradling her newborn daughter Yooha in her arms, basked in the deceptive glow of new motherhood, her facade of innocence veiling the tangled web of deceit and manipulation she had woven around Jungkook.

Y/n, her suspicions finally confirmed, confronted Haewon, her voice quivering with a mix of anger and anguish.

"How could you trap him like this?" y/n demanded, her eyes blazing with a raw intensity.

Haewon, caught off guard by the accusation, attempted to conjure a semblance of contrition. "What do you mean?"

Y/n told him that she knows about the misunderstanding she created between him and Jungkook. Also that Yooha is not Jungkook's daughter.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, her tone barely concealing the underlying manipulative undertones. "I never meant for things to go this far."

"Wouldn't it be interesting if Jungkook gets to know about all this?" Y/n smiled.

"Y/n, please it was a mistake. I love Jungkook, please don't destroy this."

"Destroy what? You tried to steal him from me. You've committed sin after sin," y/n said.

"I have proven, So it's on your hand, would you like Jungkook to know about everything? Or leave his life? I will not tell you about Yooha, and give her love like a mother but you have to leave us alone." Y/n exclaimed.

"No, I will not. You can tell Jungkook. He will not believe you." Haewon exclaimed. Y/n smiled.

"I guess I have to do it my way. Because there is no way I can let a woman like you be anywhere near Jungkook." Y/n k'lled her sister and made it look like she died naturally. And she believes Haewon deserves that.

Y/n didn't scarifice anything, she choose the life for herself. She chose to be with Jungkook, take care of Yooha. And have a life with Jungkook.
