Hoseok- Witchcraft
You danced comfortably, feeling your body going with the rhythm as the song slowly built the beat up to the chorus. Next to you, Hoseok was perfectly mirroring you, the chemistry between the two of you completely obvious to the rest of the dancers watching you. You spun and faced him, ready for the partner part of the song. He grinned at you, his passion for dancing making you smile as well.
The beat dropped to the catchy instrumental part and you threw your hands up and then out, the both of you synchronizing the sharp movements together. You lower your hands down to run your fingers through his hair, ready to get your hands in position for him to flip you over his head. Landing well, you immediately move yourself to the ending position in the song, earning applause and cheers as the song finishes.
"That was the best one yet!" You cheer, clapping your hands excitedly at him.
Hoseok nodded, grinning, "It was!"
"Great job you guys!"
"That was seriously daebak though!"
You thank the other dancers, happy that your performance was satisfactory.
"That was incredible!" One of the dance leaders beamed, "How would you guys like to perform at the Halloween festival this weekend?"
The both of you stared at him, taken aback by the offer and it took a second for you to answer.
"Of course! That would be amazing!"
"Great! I'll send you the itinerary and you guys should be good. Just make sure to come in a costume."
You turned to Hoseok, who was still in shock, and shrieked in happiness, "Hobi! We did it!"
"Ye-yea, but we still have to get things perfect and we need to practice more, in costumes," he sputtered, interrupted by you grabbing his hands.
"No dance talk right now, we need to celebrate!" You ordered, "Come on, let's go for chicken and ice cream!"
"Y/N, are you ready yet??" Hobi called from outside the small dressing room.
"Just about!" You answered, fixing a small smudge from your stage makeup before running out to meet up with him.
"Whoa!" He exclaimed as he saw you, making you grin.
"Isn't it neat?" You spun, making the black and purple skirt furl out, the glittery gold accents shining in the dim light.
You had decided on going as a witch while Hobi had chosen a vampire. The both of you had modernized the costumes greatly, and had optimized both of them for dancing. The skirt you were wearing gave you lots of room to dance and you had chosen combat boots that were easy on your feet. An intricate bodice of the same colors, dark makeup, and a little witch hat on a headband completed the look.
Hobi on the other hand was dressed in usual performance attire, black skinny jeans and a black button up shirt that was unbuttoned at the top to show off the silver necklace. The main part of the costume was a small cloak that only reached his lower back and the intense fake blood that contrasted his pale makeup.
"We got this," you grinned deviously at him.
"Definitely," he agreed, high-fiving you before you guys headed up to the stage.
The crowd went wild as the emcee introduced the two of you, your dance group especially excited as you entered. You were excited and as you glanced over to Hoseok, any ounce of nervousness left you. You guys were going to kill it, and you had a special trick up your sleeves to make the performance even better.
You quickly got into position and the song began, the movements coming to you naturally and strongly. The both of you fell into the sync you had been building through endless practices and rehearsals and you could feel your love for dancing growing in your movements as the chorus started building. You glanced over at Hobi, who smiled at you before you turned to smirk at the audience.
The lights shifted quickly and then completely shut off, startling the audience as your prepared surprise started. Black lights throughout the entire stage became visible as the stage lights turned off, revealing the glow in the dark paint on your bodies, intricate designs swirling up your arms and necks.
You couldn't help but smile to yourself as the crowd went wild for the change. The both of you continued the performance flawlessly, the lights switching on and off strategically at beat drops while you guys coordinated with different dance moves. The lights switched off again as you prepared yourself to flip, and just as you landed into the ending position, they switched back on again.
You joined hands with Hoseok and beamed at the audience, bowing to them. They had absolutely loved it, it seemed, the cheering almost deafening. You bowed once again before exiting the stage still gripping onto each other's hands.
You jumped happily, walking down the dark hallways to your dressing rooms, "Ah that was amazing! Don't you think?!"
"It was... definitely the best experience in my life," he said, trying to keep up with you as you hadn't let go of his hand yet. It was all he could think of at the moment.
You stopped and turned around, "Gwaenchana?"
"Yea."
"Are you sure?"
"Well.." he coughed nervously, "Our hands."
"Oh!" You exclaimed, letting go of his hand, "I'm sorry."
"Ah well.." he said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly before taking your hand again, "I actually liked it."
You looked at him, confused as he continued, "I don't know, I've been thinking about this for a while now. There's just this feeling I get whenever we're together, and this dance especially..."
He trails off, obviously flustered and you look down to your joined hands, "Ah-"
"I like you," he says suddenly, looking into your eyes, "I don't know why or what, but every time I perform that dance, every time we touch, it's like I'm bewitched."
You look at him and while he looks serious for once, you can't help but let out a laugh, "Was that a joke?"
"What?" He asks, bewildered by your laughter.
"Of course you, out of all people, would make a joke in the middle of a confession," you chuckle, "But it's one of the reasons that make you, you."
He looks up at you in surprise, "What?"
"I can't deny I feel the same way," you admit, "I like every bit of you."
"Ahh," he exclaims, grabbing his chest, "Ah, chincha, why can you make me feel like this?!"
You smile and lean closer to him, "Maybe it's witchcraft."
You wink once and turn around, entering your dressing room. He just looks at your closed door and shakes his head, "Of course I would fall for a girl like this. Ah chincha, Jung Hoseok, what have you gotten yourself into?"
