Park Jimin Imagine: Pink
A soft baby pink color surrounded the whole area. The cherry blossoms fell from the trees with grace, it was such a scenery. She sat there by the grass field with the cherry blossom branches happily swayed along to the wind. Taking a deep breath, she felt calm for the first time in a long time. Looking around the field, she noticed she was alone. She smiled at the thought of having this place all to herself. She took another deep breath and laid there by the grass, closing her eyes as she listens to the wind. It was a soothing feeling. The sound of the wind and the smell of the field with beautiful soft pink cherry blossoms falling all over the place. She wishes she could stay here for a longer time.
As she laid there, a sweet melodic voice rang her ears that interrupted her train of thoughts. It was soft. She looked around and saw nobody was there. She was sure that she was alone.
Who is it? She thought to herself. She quickly grabbed her bag and stood up. She started to walk away from the field in fear that someone was following or stalking her. She always thought that nobody knew that place except for her. Maybe she was wrong.
In another perspective, a young man with dark hair sat behind a tree. His hair wasn’t that dark, it had a brown hue to it. Making it look like a softer dark hair. He sang a melody, a melody that only he knew. Inhaling all that fresh air, made his mind clear. The breeze softly blowing his hair and the cherry blossom trees, the sunlight softly hitting his skin. It was one of those days where the weather was perfectly balanced.
The young man stood up, patting himself to remove the grass, started walking away. Still singing that melody, as his right hand swayed along while the other was in his pocket.
. . .
She enters a coffee shop, near the park. The shop was not that busy. Around 5 customers were there. She inhales the rich scent of the coffee and walked into the shop to order her drink. After receiving her drink, she went to the seats that were outside the shop. She loves the outdoors. The sun was out so she thought it could be a nice time to go around the town.
Taking a sip from her coffee, she caught a glimpse of a young man. His hair was dark, he wore all white. Well, he has a lot of courage to wear all white to a coffee shop. She thought to herself and took another sip of her coffee. She continues to look at the man, as he took his drink and walking towards the door that led to the outside seats. She quickly looked away as she saw him sitting at the table near her. A table was in between the two of them.
They were the only ones outside. The silence was nerve wrecking. The only sound that was heard was the wind and the two of them sipping their coffee. She was getting tired of the silence, so she took out her journal and started doodling to kill the boredom.
The young man continued to sip on his coffee. Letting the coffee hit him every time he takes a sip. Little did she know; the young man stole glances. With every glance, he’d smile to himself. I’ve never seen a lady this beautiful aura surrounding her, he thought to himself and took another sip of his coffee. He looked up to the sky and closed his eyes, sighing softly. He sang the same melody he sang earlier to himself.
Hearing the familiar melody, she looked up from her journal. It sounded the same when she was at the field. She looked at the young man near her with wide eyes. Is he the one from earlier? That same soft voice. It was melodic and addicting for some reason. What is he doing? Is he following me? She stood up and went up to the man. Taking the chair in front of him and sat down.
He was surprised when he opened his eyes and saw the lady sitting in front of him. “Hi?” He said nervously. “Did you happen to be in a field of cherry blossom trees earlier?” She asked. His eyes widened with her sudden question. How did she know? “Yes, I was. How did you— ““Are you following me?” She attacked again with another question. I sat there frozen, not knowing what has gotten into her. “Are you?” She asked once more. “No, I wasn’t. How did you know I was there?” He replied, crossing his arms and smirked. “The melody. The melody that you were singing. I heard it.”
His eyes widened. I thought I was alone. “I thought I was alone so I sang to myself. I didn’t know that there was somebody there.” He looked down at his shoes and fidgets with his fingers. He never wanted anyone to hear him sing. He always kept it a secret so he’d always run to the field and sing by himself. Noticing his actions, she felt bad for accusing the man that he was following her. He was looking down at his shoes, clearly feeling embarrassed of some sort. “Oh, uhmm… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to accuse you or anything.” She explained and now feeling embarrassed too. “Jimin.”
“Pardon?”
“My name is Jimin.” He looked up and smiled at her. She smiles back, “Y/N. Nice to meet you.” She stuck her hand out for a handshake. Jimin gladly accepted her handshake, now smiling with his teeth. His eyes disappearing as he smiles, showing off his smile. “So, about the field thing. How’d you find it?” Jimin takes a sip of his coffee, which was now cold. Y/N smiles, “I found that field when I was younger. I kept going there whenever I felt like I need to refresh my mind.” Jimin’s smile slowly faded, suddenly remembering his childhood memories where he would go there too. How come we’ve never met considering that we went there often? “What about you, Jimin?” She leaned on the table, resting her head by her palm. “I found it around 2 years ago. I go there very often too.” “Really? How come we’ve never met?” “I think the universe never found the right time yet.” He smiled. His cheeks were in a soft pink color. She found herself melting at the sight of his smile. Her heartbeat was fast.
“I guess the universe found the perfect time now.”
