However, it's important to remember that the information they release is often distorted, exaggerated, or completely made up to make it more captivating.

To add to the irony, you already had a boyfriend.

Your heart fluttered as you caught sight of him strolling out of the parking lot, dressed casually. Kim Taehyung of BTS was your real boyfriend, and you had been dating for eight blissful months. He was an incredibly romantic man, even after all this time. Despite being able to enter the building without much fuss, he insisted on greeting you in the parking lot whenever you arrived at his place.

"See you tomorrow, Manager," you bid farewell to your manager as Taehyung opened the door. "Hey."

"What time should I pick you up tomorrow?" your manager inquired.

"Aw, that's sweet," you murmured, wrapping your arms around Taehyung's neck and pressing your lips against his. He reciprocated, his hands finding their place on your waist.

His touch gradually turned more daring, sliding down to your hips before gliding back up to your back. His other hand ventured to your back pocket, giving your behind a playful squeeze.

"Mm," you moaned, reluctantly pulling away. "The food."

Taehyung groaned, trapping you between the kitchen island and his arms. He peppered soft kisses along your jawline, making his way down to your neck.

You gasped, clutching his shoulders. "Don't leave any marks. It was so difficult covering them up last time, you left too many."

Taehyung withdrew and looked into your eyes. "Why bother hiding them, then?"

"Because people will notice," you chuckled, assuming he was joking.

"That way, you won't get entangled in yet another dating rumor," he replied, walking away and heading to the table. He downed a glass of wine in one swift gulp.

"What's going on? Are you angry?" you questioned, baffled by his actions as he refilled his glass. "Are you joking right now?"

"I'm not," he replied with a sigh, placing his second empty glass back on the table.

"Am I to blame for people spreading false news about me?!" Your frustration grew evident in your voice.

"Y/N—"

"Why are you upset with me?! Did I create these rumors?" you approached him, your arms crossed.

"I'm not angry at you," Taehyung remained composed.

"Then why am I being treated like this?" you asked, your arms still folded.

"Maybe if you lay low for a while, avoid meeting up with your male friends for now," he suggested.

Your jaw dropped, "You're no different from them. You think this is also my fault."

Taehyung's expression softened, and he reached out to take your hands in his. "No, it's not your fault, baby. I know it's not."

"Then why did you say that?" you asked, your arms still folded, your voice tinged with vulnerability.

He sighed, his gaze searching yours. "I just... I worry about you. The constant rumors, the media scrutiny, it's taking a toll on you. And it frustrates me that I can't shield you from all of it."

You felt your anger waver, replaced by a mix of understanding and affection for Taehyung. You uncrossed your arms and stepped closer to him, your voice softening. "I know you're just looking out for me, but I can handle it. I don't want you to feel burdened by all this."

Taehyung's grip on your hands tightened. "Y/N, it's not about burden. It's about caring for you deeply. I hate seeing you hurt by these rumors, and sometimes, it feels like the only way to protect you is by asking you to be more cautious for a while."

You sighed, realizing his intentions came from a place of love. "Okay, I understand. But can we find a balance? I don't want to stop being myself or isolating from my friends. We can figure out a way to deal with this together, right?"

A small smile graced Taehyung's lips as he nodded. "Of course, Y/N. We'll find a way. We'll face this together, and no matter what, I'll always be by your side."
