REQUEST Jungkook - Migraine
Request for @nadooshk1235 I hope this is okay. Let me know what you think <3
{Taehyung's POV}
"Where is Jungkook?" Jin hyung grumbled while he stood over the stove making lunch for all of us, with Yoongi hyung's help.
"He's still in bed, hyung," Jimin said, walking into the living room and flopping down on the couch, next to me. "He said he has a headache."
"Oh?" Jin hyung questioned, a look of slight worry on his face which I mirrored. "Has he not been up at all?"
"No, I don't think so," Jimin sighed, turning so he was looking at Jin hyung. "I walked past his room and he asked me to turn the lights off for him. I don't think he's feeling well at all."
"Shall I go and check on him?" I asked, wondering if he was okay since Jimin's words had got me worried.
To be honest, Jungkook seemed to be struggling last night throughout our concert but he didn't mention anything. He just seemed uncomfortable and squirmy under all the stage lights. It makes sense now if he had a headache, though.
"I'll make him a hot chocolate," Yoongi hyung told me with a nod. "You can take it to him with some pain killers if you like." I nodded, shifting off the couch and going over to the kitchen area. Yoongi hyung quickly whipped up a hot chocolate and I took it to Jungkook's room with some Ibuprofen.
I lightly knocked on his door before letting myself in. My eyes had to adjust slightly as the room was dark, with all the lights off and the curtains drawn.
"Kookie?" I asked, popping my head around the door.
"Hmm?" He hummed, feebly, making my heart sink. He was curled up in his duvet, with it pulled up over his head. He sounded exhausted.
"Are you okay, Kookie?" I asked with a sigh, placing the mug of hot chocolate on his bedside table along with the pain killers Yoongi hyung had provided. "Jiminah said you're not feeling too great. You've got a headache?"
"Hmmm," Was the only answer I got, so I just perched on the edge of his bed and gently pulled the covers away from his face. "No, don't."He whined, pulling the duvet out of my hand.
"Well, Yoongi hyung made you a hot chocolate to take some pain killers with," I said, making sure to keep my voice low and hushed. I didn't want to be too loud and cause him any more discomfort.
"Hyung, I..." Jungkook mumbled from under the covers. I couldn't really tell what he was saying, since it was muffled against the sheets, but it sounded like 'I feel sick'. This was confirmed by some quiet, yet harsh, retching noises.
"Jungkook," I quickly rushed to his side and pulled the covers away from him. Luckily he hadn't been sick yet. "Let's get you to the bathroom, come on."
I had managed to get Jungkook into a sitting position but wasn't quick enough to stop him from throwing up all over the floor, missing my feet by mere inches which was a relief. With a deep sympathetic sigh, I rubbed the bottom of his back to keep him calm until he had finished coughing.
"I'm gonna get hyung," I said quickly, not sure who I was going after but knowing I needed to get someone. I got up and quickly exited the room, leaving Jungkook to catch his breath.
"Hyung!" I called as I quickly entered the living room, mentally kicking myself when five sets of eyes shot up at me.
"What is it, Tae?" Namjoon hyung asked, being the first to verbally respond, a small frown creasing his brows.
"Jungkook's just been sick," I told him, my voice shaking as I didn't quite know what to do. I've never known someone to throw up because of a headache before. "It's... everywhere."
Namjoon let out a deep sigh as Seokjin moved past Yoongi.
Taking the parental role, as Seokjin hyung usually did when one of us was sick or hurt, he walked over to me. He gestured, with a nod of his head, for me to lead the way to Kook's bedroom.
"Someone please get a mop and something to clean the floor with," He called over his shoulder and the others shouted 'okay' back. We walked into Jungkook's dark bedroom, only to find him curled into a ball on his bed.
"Oh, Jungkookie." Seokjin hyung walked over and sat next to Jungkook on the bed, dodging around the vomit on the floor. He gently rubbed his back as Kook cradled his head in his hands. "Do you need to change, honey?"
Jungkook just whimpered out a small 'no' so Seokjin just nodded and turned to me as Hoseok walked through the door, with a mop bucket.
"Hyung," He said in a quiet voice, placing the bucket on the floor. Seokjin and I noticed how his face paled and ushered him out of the room. Hobi hyung has a really weak stomach, and we knew if he stood in the room much longer, we'd be cleaning up two loads of sick.
"Thanks, Hobi," Seokjin hyung said as he stood to bring the bucket over. Hoseok nodded and left, quickly and quietly. I went over to Jungkook as Seokjin started cleaning.
"Kook, there's some pain killers," I reminded him, softly, hoping he'd it up and take them. I didn't like seeing him suffer like this. It was clear his headache was causing him agony.
"Hyung, that smells strong," Jungkook said, his voice shaky. "I'm gonna be sick,"
I couldn't blame him, to be honest. The smell of bleach was really strong, it was even burning my nose.
"Taehyung, take him into my room - my bathroom," Seokjin told me, taking a moment to stop cleaning up the vomit.
I helped Jungkook up and guided him over to the other side of the bed so he didn't walk into the mess. As Jungkook stood, I grabbed the mug and painkillers and guided him out of the room.
He held his hands over his eyes, sheltering them from the natural light in the hall until we got to Seokjin's room, just two doors down - past Jimin and Hobi's room and my room.
I pushed the door of the bedroom open and guided Jungkook inside.
"Do you still feel sick?" I asked, hoping his answer would be no. He shook his head slightly, so I walked him over to Seokjin's huge king-sized bed. Since we moved to a bigger dorm room, it was close to Seokjin's birthday and we really wanted to treat him so we managed to put our heads together and decided to get him a huge comfy bed, to thank him for looking after us for so long. He said it was the best gift ever and there was nothing better than, coming home from a long day of work, just to be able to slump on the bed and fall asleep. It was a choice well made, to say the least.
I placed the mug and painkillers beside Jungkook and went and closed the curtains, making sure all the sunlight was blocked out. When Jungkook heard me pull them shut, he felt safe enough to remove his hands from in front of his eyes.
"Take these now," I told him, going over and giving him the painkillers. He squinted at me, his eyes showing just how tired he was. It took a moment for him to respond but then he just nodded and took the pills from me. He took two and sipped his now luke-warm hot chocolate, which probably was very nice now but he didn't seem too bothered.
"Hyung, I'm tired," He said, meekly, causing me to sigh empathetically. I took the mug away from him as he held it out and helped him lay down. As he got himself settled, I pulled the blanket over him that was at the end of the bed.
"Have you been sick again?" Seokjin hyung asked as he came into the room. I knew Kook was too tired to answer so, I just shook my head, replying to him instead. "That's good."
Seokjin came and sat on the side of his bed, placing the back of his hand on Jungkook's forehead. "The good news is you're not running a fever. What I suggest is just trying to sleep it off, honey. That should make you feel better."
"Okay," Jungkook nodded feebly. Seokjin smiled softly, and ruffled his hair, before nodding to me. I and Seokjin got up quietly and left the room, leaving Kook to sleep.
"Will he be okay?" I asked Seokjin as he shut the door as gently as he could.
"It's just a migraine, Tae," Seokjin reassured me, patting my back. "He'll be fine once he's had a decent amount of sleep."
I nodded, understanding, and we went back into the living room where the other members were.
