Namjoon - The Brother Series

This is the first part of this week's 7. This week is a series - The Brother Series! Enjoy xD

You were sat in your bedroom, at your small desk, twiddling your pen in around your fingers. Your maths teacher had given the whole class homework and you were finding it impossible to complete. You were should that you had already spent hours working on it and you were still on the first question. You were about to throw your notebook out of the window when a small knock on the door pulled you out of your frustrating thoughts.

"Come in." You sighed, placing your head in your hands.

"Hey, Seokjin hyung wants to know if you're okay with pizza for dinner or if you want something else." Your older brother, Namjoon, asked you before taking a moment to assimilate your exasperated expression when you looked up at him.

"What's up?" He asked, frowning at you. That's when you went into full-on rant mode.

"My freaking maths teacher has given this homework to do and it's absolutely impossible!" You exclaimed, gesturing dramatically to your notebook on the desk. "It's an algebra which is completely ridiculous in its own right. Letters are for Literacy and numbers are for maths, they should not mix! Everyone in my class seems to understand it though, I don't see how because in my eyes, it's all in Jibberish! Please help me, Joonie, please. I'll do anything!"

It took a moment for Namjoon to comprehend everything you had said since you went full Suga with your rant, at rapid speed.

"I'll help." He said after a few seconds, walking over and crouching down beside you.

"What are you stuck on?" He asked, his voice soft, fully willing to help.

"All of it!" You pouted, causing your brother to chuckle.

"Am I stupid, Joonie?" You asked, your shoulders slumping slightly.

"Of course not!" Namjoon exclaimed, his tone actually sounding quite scolding. "Don't say things like that. Some people are just better at things than others, but that doesn't make you stupid."

He ruffled your hair before taking a proper look at the homework you had been set.

He took a few minutes and read it through carefully, frowning at some of the questions and nodding at others. After a while, he sighed, placed the book back down, and looked up to you.

"What I suggest is we go and get some pizza and then come back up and work through the questions together." He smiled at you. You smiled back, nodding your head, feeling thankful that you had a genius for a brother. You got up as he stood and you both headed down to get some pizza from the kitchen.

After having a nice dinner with the rest of your brothers, you and Namjoon headed back upstairs to tackle your homework.

"So, the dreaded algebra." Namjoon sighed, sitting on the floor, next to your desk, with the notebook on his lap.

"You said it." You sighed, leaning on your desk with your head in your hand. "Does it make any sense to you?" You asked, kind of hoping his answer would be no, but you knew better.

"It does..." Joon said, rereading the questions. "Though I can understand why you're finding it difficult."  He ran his finger over the paper, a thoughtful frown forming on his face. "Give me your pen."

You handed your pen over to him, frowning at him. "Why?" You asked.

"I'll tell you what." He started, looking up at you, a small smile forming on his lips. If you didn't know him better you would say he was being mischievous. "I'll go through all the formulas with you, make sure you understand it  but..."

"But?" You asked.

"I'll complete the work for you." He told you. "Save you the stress."

You got up and wrapped your arms around him with a grin.

"Joonie!" You squealed. "You're the best!"
