"These guys are amazing!" Your best friend exclaims. You and a group of friends were at a street fair, taking some time to watch a group of street dancers. Your friend was right, the dancers were insanely talented. "Y/N, you should have a go! You dance."

"Yeah, sure, but not at that level!" You tell her, your cheeks flushing. "These are professional dancers, I just dance for fun."

"That's how dancing is meant to be." A cheery voice came from behind you and your friend. The both of you looked round to find a man with a beaming grin standing behind you.

"Do you mind? This is a private conversation." Your friend said, pushing you to turn back and watch the dancers.

"Hoseok." The man said, ignoring your friend and holding his hand out to you. You shake his and introduce yourself to him.

"So, Y/N, you dance?" Hoseok asked, standing at your side to watch the performance, much to your friend's annoyance.

"Not really." You said, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Liar." Your friend said, making Hoseok chuckle lightly.

"Then I challenge you." He said, looking you straight in the eye. It took you a second to realise he was being serious.

"Excuse me?" You asked, shocked.

"Me, you, dance battle." He said, gesturing to the street performers. "Let's prove to these guys that dancing should be for fun."

"I don't..." You start but your friend cuts you off.

"Go, you'll win anyway." She said, pushing you towards the performers.

"Ooh, fighting talk. I like it." Hoseok laughed. "You should have your friend's confidence."

"Not gonna happen anytime soon." You say, not enjoying the idea of having a dance battle in front of the fifty to seventy people who had gathered around.

"Come on, Y/N," Hoseok said, teasingly, taking your hand and pulling you towards the source of the music.

"Y/N," Your friend said. "If you win, get him to give us a lift home."

"Um..." You mumble, embarrassed by your friend and her forwardness.

"If you win, I'll give you a lift anywhere," Hoseok said. "If I win, I get to take you out for dinner."

And with that, he pulled you into the dancing area. The professionals cleared the space, allowing the battle to take place.

Non-surprisingly, Hoseok won - which led to a date that led to many more.
