(A/n: The new update is so weird, it made everything look so different! It'll take me a while to get used to, but what do you all think about it? Anyways, thank you so much for 107k reads! This year has started off well for my family, friends, and I, despite some hardships, (which everyone has during their lives) and I hope your year has been treating you well as well! I hope you all enjoy and have a wonderful day/night! ☀️🌈💕✨)

Requested by: I honestly have no idea and I'm so sorry about that! I couldn't find any evidence of anyone requesting this, so either they deleted their comment or I'm just very forgetful! (It's probably me being very forgetful, I'm sorry!)

M/N's P.O.V.

I ran through the moonlit forest, not daring to stop or look behind me. I couldn't believe I was alive. I should be on the cold ground with a wooden stake in my chest and a lead bullet in my brain. What happened? Who saved me? Was it even a person who saved me? Random thoughts and inquiries flooded my mind and I couldn't seem to stop them as they threatened to make me combust. I tried to push them from my mind and focus on the real objective; getting home. I just wanted to go home and cuddle with my boys while whispering that everything would be alright, but would it be alright! An old man pointed a gun at my head, forcing me to beg for mercy as I told him I had a family back at home, yet he was set on showing me no mercy whatsoever. Would other humans be the same? Would they not hesitate to put a bullet in my brain and a wooden stake in my heart? Would they dare do the same to my family? That's when it dawned on me that they would without a second thought. I knew all humans weren't that way, but most of them feared us, hated us and were even disgusted by us. Humans were strange beings.

If I had a heartbeat, it would be pounding out of control and trying to break out of my chest as I ran. I was almost to the place I called home as I tried not to let the small wounds that he afflicted on me with that stupid sliver knife of his get the best of me. I needed to keep running. What if the thing that saved me wasn't a person? What if it was just another vampire hunter wanting to kill me instead of having the old man do it? These doubts and questions wouldn't leave my head and I don't think they ever would, not after what had happened today. Now I finally understand exactly how terrifying it was to be tracked down by a human and almost killed. I understood the pain, the fear, and the agonizing thoughts as you wondered if you'd live to see another day.

I saw our manor in view and I don't think I had very felt happier to be home. Of course, I was happy to come home to my lovely family, but I was just so overjoyed that I would love another day to see them again. I slammed open the front door before locking it behind me. The loud thud echoed throughout the house, allowing everyone to know I was home.
"(M/n), what's going on? You alright?" Taehyung asked, suddenly appearing next to me as I sat on there floor, my back against the front door. "Love, why is your shirt torn and stained with spots of blood?" Concern and fear filled his brown eyes as he tried to stay calm for me. I wanted to tell him everything that had happened, but the words didn't seem to be able to fall off my tongue.
"A.. A..." I was shaking as he sat down beside me and pulled me into a warm embrace.
"Take your time, love." He whispered into my ear as he patted my hair, my head resting on his shoulder.
"There was... a hunter in the forest." I managed to sputter out. "He tried to... He was so close to..." I didn't have to finish those two sentences for him to understand what had happened.

"I'm here now... We'll be safe." He mumbled as I began to sob. I was so very lucky. "Let it all out..." Most of your kind didn't make it, they were put on display after being murdered in cold blood.
"I was... s-so scared," I whispered, my arms wrapped around his waist as he pulled me onto his lap for more comfort. "H-He was so close... t.. too close." He looked down at me, his eyes pooling with rage, concern, and fear.
"He won't hurt you again." He assured me, but the voice in my head told me otherwise. "I won't let him touch any of you." I nodded, wiping away the tears that continued to fall down my cheeks.
"I should be dead," I spoke, not stuttering on my words. "He was... about to kill me, but when I opened my eyes, he was gone." His eyes widened and his grip on me tightened slightly.
"You... I could've..." He mumbled to himself as tears pooled in his eyes. "I could've lost you... No, no, no." Tears freely fell down his cheeks as he held onto me, his head now rested on my shoulder as I now was the one trying to comfort him.
"I..I'm so sorry... I should've b-been there." He sobbed out, his heart-wrenching sobs filling the greeting room.
