Song: "Monterlude" by RM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
M/N's P.O.V
I smiled softly to myself as one of my favorite songs began to play as I washed the dishes, beginning softly sing along to the song. I lightly swayed back-and-forth in front of the sink, letting the soft tone of music fill the kitchen room as I used a dishrag to wash one of the many glass plates, in the sink.
"You're listening to Monterlude, again?" A deep voice asked, causing me to jump slightly at the sudden question. "Wow, you weren't lying when you said you loved the song." Namjoon chuckled, walking over to me as I placed the last clean dish on the dish rack. I shyly smiled at him, lightly nodding as my face began to flush a dark red in embarrassment.
"I just really like how your voice sounds and the beat is nice..." I mumbled, rinsing off the soapy dishrag. "Plus, I like singing along to the song."
"You've always had a pretty singing voice... I'm surprised none of the companies have accepted your audition yet." He remarked, "It would be a dream come true for you." He grabbed the light red towel that laid on the counter nearby and handed it to me.
"Thank you, it means a lot to hear that. And I guess this stuff takes time, a lot of it." I softly sighed, drying off my hands, with the towel before turning to face him. "I really do appreciate you and the boys' endless support, Namjoon." I glanced up at him as he towered over me in height. "I know, you and the boys are always busy with your hectic schedules, but I just want to say I'm very grateful you and the others take time to visit me and help me."
"You don't need to thank me, (M/n). You're like a little brother to the boys and I, we would do anything to help you." He stated, gently ruffling my (h/c) like he usually did whenever we saw each other. "Family helps one another, no matter what." His dark brown eyes met mine as he showed me that adorable dimpled-grin of his.
"Thanks, Bro." I laughed, lightening the serious mood a bit.
"You ruined our moment." He chuckled, "Once again." He shook his head lightly, chuckling as he walked towards the fridge.
"You know, it's been so long since I've seen you and the boys, how have things been?" I asked, flipping on the coffee machine before heading over to the dining room table, taking my seat where I normally would.
"We've been doing great." He answered, grabbing a Coca-Cola from the fridge. "We're all lucky to have a week off, so we can rest and visit family before the tour begins. Our schedules have been a lot busier since we've released Love Yourself; Answer and this week off is a good time for us to destress." He walked over to the dining room table, sitting down on the chair in front of me before opening the can of cola.
"That's good, I'm glad you all are in good health," I spoke, standing up from my chair as the coffee machine's little light flashed, signaling that it was hot enough for the coffee or whatever I wanted. "Do you want any?" I glanced back at him, only to receive a polite no.
"You're missing out! I went to the store, the other day and got hot chocolate with tiny, colorful marshmallows!" I giggled, reaching over to the nearby cupboard and grabbing the hot chocolate.
"They have those still?!" He exclaimed. "I hadn't seen them in the stores recently, so I assumed they were out of them or they were just a figment of my imagination." He added as he took a sip his Coca-Cola.
"A figment of your imagination?" I repeated his words as I grabbed a packet of hot chocolate with colorful, tiny marshmallows in it. "I mean, you can create a hit song in mere minutes, so if you can create amazing music and amazing  hot chocolate with tiny, colorful marshmallows, you must have superpowers." I laughed as I placed my BT21 coffee mug under the coffee machine, so it could pour hot water into the mug.
"Maybe I do have superpowers?" He chuckled glancing over at me as I awaited my magical hot chocolate. "Maybe I don't? We'll never know..."
"So how have you been?" He asked, out of the blue, trying to fill the silence that had, suddenly, fallen over us.
"I've been doing great! I got a new job at the new restaurant in town and I'm lucky it pays well! The people there are really nice and it's great that I don't have to worry so much about rent anymore." I cheerfully replied, tearing open the small hot chocolate package and dumping into my mug. "It's such a relief to have nearly everything under control. I'm also in my last year of college, so once I graduate I can focus on my dancing."
I opened the silverware drawer and grabbed a spoon to stir my hot chocolate, not wanting to drink chunky hot chocolate.
"That's great, (M/n)." He stated, taking another sip of his Coca-Cola before giving me a small smile. "I'm glad things are going well for you!"
"It was hard enough last year, but I'm glad this year is tremendously better." I muttered, staring down at my coffee mug as I stirred the hot chocolate. "I just hope the rest of the year will go well for me... I can't lose anyone else..."
"I truly am sorry about your mother. She was a great woman." I nodded at his words, lightly smiling at the vivid memories of all the times she said she loved me.
