M/N's P.O.V

I walked through the crowded market, slightly disgusted by the smell of the unclean commoners and somewhat rotten food. I placed my hand on the hilt of my sword, ready to protect my kingdom and my king no matter what would come my way. I muttered excuse me to a few people I ran into, hoping my armor hadn't hurt them when they bumped into me or when I bumped into them.

My armor was beginning to make me sweat as the sun shined down on the castle and its people, making the summer day feel ten times hotter than before. I moved through the crowd, finding it hard to see from the sun shining down onto my armor and reflecting off of it. There wasn't a cloud in the sky that could block the sun, just a barren, blue sky that showed the large ball of yellow that produced heat and light.

"Excuse me, but you are the new general? General Areum?" A man asked as he stood in front of me, ignoring the people who pushed past us. I nodded, taking my hand off my hilt for my sword, so I could take my helmet off and allow my (h/l), (h/c) hair to dry off in the sun since sweat had soaked my hair.
"May I ask who you are?" I inquired, mentally cursing myself for not knowing the people here, but I couldn't really blame myself since I had just been transferred here.
"I'm His Majesty's royal advisor and he wished to meet the man who would be leading his army into battle." The tall, honey-toned man stated, giving me a soft smile. "Let's just say, he's very interested in you. Very interested, indeed." I nodded again, suppressing a smile at the thought of the man I was ready to die for.
"Okay," I replied, feeling like I could jump of joy. "Before we go, may I know your name?" He studied me for a second, his eyes running up and down my body before running his hand through his black hair.
"I'm Namjoon, though, most people call me Joon." He answered, holding his hand out of me to shake. I shook his hand, seeing it was larger than mine. I felt a bit insecure but decided to not let that ruin the mood.

"Now, follow me. His Majesty doesn't like waiting, especially when it's close to lunch time." Namjoon chuckled, grabbing my armor-covered hand. "Try not to get lost, the crowd's usually quite active at this time." I nodded, not feeling like talking much as excitement ate away at my stomach.
"Not much of a talker, huh?" He asked, walking us towards the castle entrance.
"I'm just really excited," I replied, my eyes examining every stone and piece of iron of the entrance gate was composed of. "It's amazing here." He nodded, glancing back at me with a chuckle.
"It's the most beautiful kingdom in South Korea." He began, his brown eyes glistening in the sunlight. "Flowers, trees, and crops grow here beautifully and on time. People here are happy, kind, and love the king. We're lucky to have such a wonderful king, though, he can be a dork at times." I smiled, feeling as if I was on cloud nine. I could already tell this place was better than the last kingdom I was at.

"This place sounds amazing," I remarked as the gates opened for us. Namjoon nodded, smiling and waving at two shorter knights who seemed to be chatting with each other. They stopped and waved back, giving Namjoon a smile before returning to their conversation.
"That's Yoongi and Jimin, they're usually on gate duty," Namjoon explained before gesturing to another knight with dark brown hair. "That's Jungkook, he was the youngest knight to join us." I nodded, giving a small wave to the muscular-looking man as he used his sword to slash at a potato sack dummy. He stopped and softly smiled, giving me a small wave back as he wiped away his sweat.
"They all look so intimidating until they smile."
I remarked, take a quick glance behind me before turning my attention towards Namjoon as he dragged me through the training field.
"Yes, I suppose they do, but don't judge a book by its cover, (M/n)." He responded, opening a door that led into a stunning hallway that was covered with red, blue, and gold; the kingdom's colors.

"Namjoon, are you back yet?" A voice called out as heels cliched against the cobblestone floor that was covered with a red carpet.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I have returned with General Areum." He stated, bowing to the inch shorter-man who had walked over to us. The man was stunning, not a single sign of aging or pimple on his face. He had dark brown hair that looked soft to the touch. His clothes were made of the fanciest materials made only for the rich or royalty, everything about him made my heart flutter. I could feel my cheeks heat up as his gaze met mine. I walked to say something, but I knew I would only stutter and make a fool of myself. I quickly bowed, my armor making clinking noises as I did.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Your Majesty." I managed to say, proud I didn't stutter like the nervous wreck that I am.

"It's lovely to meet you as well, Areum." He spoke, sending a wink my way that made my heart due to a quick 360. "I hope to see you more often, you are my new general, so we'll have to spend a lot of time planning things together." Namjoon chuckled at my red face, gently patting me on the back as the king continued to speak.
"How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself." He smiled, fiddling with the sleeve of his navy blue. "My name's Kim Seokjin. I am the king of Nydilaclya the most beautiful kingdom in all of South Korea."
