"Are You The One I'm Looking For?" || Namjoon || « part three »

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(A/n: I know some of you are probably upset that Namjoon turned out to a bad guy and that (M/n) didn't get together with him, but I wanted to change things up! I kind of got tired writing happy endings and having (M/n) usually get together with one of the boys! Not everyone has a happy ending and I wish that they did, but sadly, that's not how life works! Sometimes, people don't get with the people they love, but that doesn't mean they won't find someone who will love them! Sometimes, life doesn't treat us nicely, but that doesn't mean positive things won't happen later on! I hope I didn't upset anyone with my words, it's never my intention! I hope you all enjoy and have a wonderful day! ☀️🌈💕✨)
M/N's P.O.V.
The moment I made it home, I could feel my heart skip a beat at the thought Hoseok being held captive by one of Jungkook's men or worse. I slowly opened the front door, my body exhausted from the events that had taken place earlier today. Once the door was fully open, I glanced cautiously around the room only to see the living room was clear. I knew they probably wouldn't attack us again for a while, just so they wouldn't cause any suspicion, but I couldn't help but feel like they were always watching, ready to attack us at any moment.
"Hoseok, I'm home!" I called out, allowing him to know I was home and that I wasn't some robber. "You feeling better?" I heard the soft sound of his footsteps down the hallway as he grew nearer.
"Yeah." He groggily replied as he walked into the living room, wearing a simple green t-shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants. "Are you okay?" I nodded and slipped my shoes off before tossing my coat onto the black recliner that sat in the living room.
"You still tired?" I asked, looking at the bags that had lightly formed under his eyes. He nodded slightly as he stretched and yawned before meeting my gaze.
"I spent most of the day hurling my guts up, so I'm pretty tired." He muttered as he walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. "The doctor said I should be better by now..." Panic filled me as I thought of what could be making him sick. Jimin wouldn't, would he? I guess I didn't know him as well as I thought I did.
"Do you think..." I couldn't bear to finish my sentence as I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him close. He lifted his head up and looked up at me, his eyes pooling with sorrow.
"Would he try to hurt me...?" Tears filled his eyes as the words fell off his tongue. "Jimin doesn't hate us that much, right...?" I nodded, hoping he still felt the same platonic love he always felt towards us, but that hope was slowly fading away.
"I don't know, Hobi," I said as I ran my fingers through his black hair. "Why don't we go lay on the couch and talk? You look exhausted." He nodded as he released me from his grip and silently followed me over to the grey couch. I laid down first, allowing him to lay on top of me. He buried his face into the nip of my neck, his warm breath tickling my neck every time he breathed.
"So what exactly happened with Namjoon?" He asked, his hands gripping my white dress shirt. I let out a deep sigh before looking down at him and answering. He lifted his head up, so he could look at me while I spoke.
"Turns out, he's working for Jungkook." I began, memories of earlier flashing through my head. "I figured out what he was doing and he pulled a gun on me in the middle of a cafe." Hoseok let out another yawn as he rubbed his eyes with his fist, but I knew he had been listening.
"I really thought we could trust him." He whispered. "So much for me being a mafia boss..." I lightly hit the back of his head, signaling for him to stop putting himself down.
"You're one of the best mafia bosses in history, don't put yourself down," I stated, lightly scolding him. "You're also my boyfriend, so if you don't feel good about yourself either I'm doing something wrong or something's wrong..." He sighed, his lips forming into a deep frown.
"It's just... I... Everyone's leaving and it hurts to see them go..." He mumbled, tears falling down his honey-toned cheeks. "Jimin left us... Taehyung left before him..." I gently wiped them away with my thumb as I listened to him ramble on about how everything was becoming too much for him to handle alone.
"Hey, hey... I'm here." I told him as his sobs only grew louder. "I'll help you handle this." I played with his hair until his sobbing stopped. I looked down at him, only to see he had cried himself to sleep. I kissed the top of his head, sighing at how much had happened in one day.
"You're not alone, I'm here." I rewrapped my arms around him as I laid his head on my chest, so he wouldn't be uncomfortable when he woke up from the nap he desperately needed.
