2.LEAVING TO PARENT'S ABODE WHILE PREGNANT

Placing the last frock in your mini suitcase as you have already stowed your stuff inside the case along with the necessities. You glanced at your phone deposited beside the suitcase, taking a deep breath you took hold of the electronic gadget before dialing Taehyung's number as you took a seat on the mattress of the bed.

Skimming the phone to your ear you perceived the bell ringing but went to the voice recording, "Is he again in his meeting?" You huffed, "Sometimes, I think I have married a machine robot instead of a human being."

Gulping down a lump in your throat, You sighed before pulling out the drawer of your bedside table and you picked out a diary and the black pen.

.....Taehyung, I know it's all of a sudden, I don't know if you have realized it or not but I have been feeling solus all this while for a few months now. Before, I was expecting we both used to spend our time together like a cherry couple. It's been days since we had a heartfelt talk with each other.

You have been hard-pressed by your office work and here I am at home being all by myself. I tried calling you but you were still busy with your work and must be in an urgent meeting. You even went without meeting me today morning and I don't know when you came last night.

I still remember when I told you that we were pregnant and I could see the glint in your eyes, we both were gleeful from that moment till now but I miss your presence beside me, I want you to be by my side. I am getting a feeling that your work is taking my place as the priority in your life when you said it won't be like this.

I am feeling that you are accompanying your work over me and I know it is important but, I need you. I need you to spend some time with me. I am going to my parent's house for a few days, at least I won't feel forlorn.....

The nib of the pen halted at the last letter on the paper as you swiftly yet leisurely ripped it off the diary before placing it under the lamp and keeping the diary over it so it won't fly away or chuck onto the floor, under the bed.

Locking the suitcase, you slowly placed it on the floor before clutching onto your phone and making your way down the stairs while carefully rolling your mini suitcase with you.

You have booked a cab as the chauffeur wasn't available today. Your eyes were glistening with the tears settling at the bottom of your eyelid while you stepped out of the residence before making your way to the uber you have booked.

You were gazing out of the window all this while the uber driver steered to your parent's abode while the high-rise buildings and skyscrapers were passing by as you discerned the vista.

The driver helped you with taking out the luggage as you sauntered towards your prior house and rang the bell, "Should I tell them the truth or not? Let me keep it to myself till I talk with him."

While waiting for someone to open the huge door of the residence, the sudden sound made you come out of your reverie as you caressed the slight baby bump. You looked ahead of yourself and watched your mother's visage.

Unwittingly, your lips curved upwards after discerning your mother after so long as you watched your mother's reaction turning into a stupefy at your sudden appearance without any call.

"Oh my god! Y/N?! How are you?" Your mother exclaimed taking you in her embrace as you stepped inside, letting go of the suitcase you wrapped your hands around her frame and nudged your chi on her shoulder.

Letting out a sigh of relief after feeling her warmth around you and knowing you wouldn't be alone anymore.

"You didn't even call." You both broke the hug as you asked, "How are you, Mom?" She smiled, "I am all okay." You trailed her eyes peering over your shoulder trying to look for the certain one, "Where is Taehyung? Didn't he come with you?" Your mother asked, scrutinizing your expressions and waggling her eyes outside the door.

"No...No. Actually, He has been busy these days so that's why." You tried to take over the conversation as you watched her open her mouth and nod to the explanation she just perceived from you, "Come! Come inside!"

"John, take the luggage." Your mother ordered the helper as she held your hand, making your way inside the lounge, "Your father must be here anytime." She proposed as she made you comfortable over the couch, "How is the little one doing?" She asked gazing at the baby bump while the smile didn't leave her visage even for a jiff.

"Pebble is doing pretty good." You smiled as the waiter came to serve you your favorite strawberry shake, "Here, have it." Your mother picked up the glass before giving it to your hold, "Did you know that I was coming?" You asked with wide, ingenuous eyes while your mother chuckled, "No, they made it just now for your father." You nodded, "Oh! Taking a sip from the shake, it made its way around your upper lips, "You have it all over your lips."

Your mother giggled as you licked it with your tongue, "My baby!" You twinkled displaying your teeth to her as she watched you drinking while you both had a weeny chit chat.

You heard the sound of the steps approaching you both from the foyer as the bell rang over a few seconds ago and John went to open the door. You discerned your father striding inside the lounge from the foyer.

You smiled watching his frame walking towards you, "Oh! My daughter. You are here." You saw the bewilderment in his orbs before he opened his arms to get your physique in his embrace as you grinned ear to ear, raising your feet and sauntering toward him wrapping your arms around his physique.

"How are you?" He asked, kissing the crown of your head as you nudge your chin on his shoulder while nodding, "I am fine. How is your back pain?" You asked retreating from the hug as he said, "Much better. Therapy is helping a lot." You nodded while your mother said, "I will get the dinner ready. You both talk." Declaring this she sprinted towards the kitchen as you and your father took your seat on the velvety couch, "Did Taehyung come to drop you off?" His first question took you off guard as you shook your head, "No."

Taking a glimpse at the carpet beneath your feet and taking a glance at your father's visage, "He was a bit busy so I came by myself." You were stealing eyes at your father as he found it odd but shrugged it off, "Are you taking care of yourself?" He asked as you nodded, "Yes! I do."

Your father nodded making himself comfortable as the servant served him a glass of strawberry shake which you, prior had instead of him, "And Is Taehyung taking good care of my daughter? If not just let me know." He laughed around as I smiled, "He does but not the way he should. He does everything for me except giving me his time."

You watched your father taking sips from his shake as you stood up, "I will freshen up." You declared, "Yeah! Be careful." You nodded sauntering upstairs, holding onto the handrail. "I don't know how Taehyung would react after getting to know that I came to my parents' abode." You muttered, opening the door of your room and sauntering inside the restroom.

You were feeling a bit relieved and somewhere in your heart, you were anxious about Taehyung's reaction after reading the letter you had left in the bedroom.

-

I sighed deeply leaning back on my office chair, massaging my temples, skimming the back of my index finger from under my chin as I glanced at my phone placed in front of me. I was quick to grab it before my eyes caught the missed call from my wife.

She called me, Aish! F*ck! I was in the meeting... I instantly dialed her number but no one was picking up. The unsettled feeling was conquering my chest. She would be okay, right? I tried calling her once again but it went to the message recorder all this time. Why isn't she picking up?

Raising my feet from the office chair, I placed the phone over my ear for the third time but again no response. I was getting vexed and anxious at the same time.

Where are you, Y/N? Without wasting any second, I grabbed my car keys, sprinting out of my cabin without even taking a glance at my secretary who I felt was staring at my dashing physique from the office.

My heart was hammering against my ribcage while my quivering hands weren't helping me either. I pressed the button of the elevator multiple times as it was taking time to get onto my floor. Why is it taking so long? I bit down my lower lip while my breath was uneven.

The door of the elevator opened in front as I quickly stepped in and pushed the ground floor button, "Y/N, please be okay." I muttered under my breath as I heard the beep sound, arriving on the ground floor. Jumping down the stairs of the building, I sprinted.

I was feeling tense about the fact I came to the office without meeting her this morning, so I made my way to the car which was parked outside the highrise building.

Opening the door of the car, I climbed in before slamming it back, the engine lurched as the took a swift turn before steering out of the building.

I rested my elbow on the door and wiped the drops of perspiration that formed just above my lips, increasing the speed of the car pressing onto the elevator as I soon reached the residence after about fifteen minutes, elapsed.

I put on the breaks just in front of the entrance before jumping off the car and shutting the door behind, reading to lock the car behind as I entered the pin code and dashed in only to find it tranquil and murky all over the house.

My heart was beating hard against my chest as I entered the residence with heavy breathing. Gazing all over the lounge which had a black-pitched surrounding. I stretched my hands to switch on the chandelier, glinting the amber gleam through its surface down the lounge.

My heart sank as I made my way upstairs to the bedroom. She must be in the bedroom, asleep. I am so sorry, baby. I couldn't attend your call.
