1. LEAVING TO PARENT'S ABODE WHILE PREGNANT

Crossing your legs over one another while lolling on the mattress of your bedroom, the cold night gust of wind made its way inside the room through the french windows embedded on the wall beside your bed. You had your left hand over your gravid baby bump, poking out of your tummy as you were caressing the soft material of the nightwear which you had donned for tonight, you could feel the presence of another being inside being in its initial stages.

Your slender fingers made circles over your belly as you could feel the movements inside there while your eyes were fixated on the inked paper in front of you which you were holding with your right hand, your fingers were skimming with the spine of the book while your index and thumb holding the pages apart.

Your orbs trailed over the black-inked works on the pages which were tired and worn out. You twitched your eyes at the wall clock ahead of yourself and deciphered the time, "Half past twelve." You let out a sigh and your pregnancy hormones were doing their best in this situation.

The overwhelming feeling taking over your mind and heart, it didn't take long when your eyes glistened, you were feeling vexed, anxious and a pang of poignant captured your heart, "I am sorry, Y/N, I can't take a day off. I have a germane meeting today and it's beneficial for our company, Please understand." The words ranged inside your head from yesterday.

-------

Skimming my slender fingers through your tresses, I pulled them up in the ponytail as I rolled off the duvet from my physique and placed my feet on the velvety carpet laid over the tiled floor, gliding my feet into the slippers.

I stretched my hand to rub my temples a bit before raising my feet to saunter out of the bedroom, I made my way downstairs.

Discerning, he was sitting in the dining area while holding a fork in his hand and the other held this most precious thing which he wouldn't let go any further away from him, his phone resting near his ear while his petals moved along to speak, he was discussing something.

Does he not remember that he had to spend time with me today? He had promised me that he would be home today so that we could spend time together. How does he not remember? We just talked over it a day before and he is going to the office today.

Holding onto the handrail, I gingerly stepped down the stairs as his once muffled voice was audible, "We will be meeting today at 7 in the evening." "Yes!" "Okay!" I watched him hanging up over the call as I stepped down the last stair.

Our orbs met as I watched him raise his feet placing his fork down the plate before he scurried to me with a mild smile over his face, "Good morning, sunshine!" He greeted me, elongating his hands to hold mine while stooping towards me and resting his lips on my forehead, leaving a long peck behind while I had my eyes shut, trying not to vex him while he retreated himself from me.

I opened my eyes as his eyes were already aiming at mine as I muttered, "You are going to the office?" My voice came out a bit sore and wobbly as he nodded, "Yes, The last-minute urgent meeting came and I can't turn a blind eye to it."

I licked my bottom chapped lip before letting out, "You are saying the same thing for the past three or four times. We haven't spent time together for a long time." I completed as he raised his hand which was holding mine and caressed the back of it with the pad of his thumb, "Come here." He led me to the coach in the lounge before kneeling in front of me, I watched his knee settling on the lilac carpet with blurry eyes.

I gazed at his visage while he looked into my orbs, I watched his Adam's apple bulge once as he gulped down, "I will spend time with you but today's meeting is authentically important and I can't skip this one."

I felt his huge palm cupping my cheeks as he placed a soft kiss on my forehead while I just sat there, tranquil stiffening my hold on his arms from which he was cupping my cheeks as he drew them back.

"You really can't?" I asked looking straight in his orbs and watching him sigh as he shook his head, "I am sorry, Y/N, I can't take a day off. I have a germane meeting today and it's beneficial for our company, Please understand." I watched him stand up from his knees and patted my tied-up tresses before mumbling, "Bye. Take care and eat properly."

I heard him ordering the cook, "Serve Y/N the breakfast." I trailed my eyes to his departing physique out of the residence with his briefcase. I was feeling downhearted by his gestures and he didn't know how much he was hurting me to the core for doing the same thing over five times now.

This gigantic residence felt so solitary, I didn't have anyone with me and the cook would do her work. I don't have anyone with whom I can have a talk and with parents, you can't fulfill someone's presence by just talking with them. Sometimes presence is more effective than talking!

-------

TAEHYUNG'S P.O.V.
I opened the door of the residence, entering the passcode as I stepped into the foyer. It's midnight. Is Y/N asleep? I thought gazing at the amber rays capturing the lounge, "Is she awake?" I muttered under my breath before making my way up to the kitchen to watch if she was still awake but I didn't find anyone.

I gazed up the stairs behind the handrail, "Maybe, she is asleep?" I placed my briefcase on the couch in the lounge before pouring myself a glass of water with the jug deposited on the dining table. I swig down the water before placing the glass of water on the dining and removing my suit jacket.

Holding it, I sauntered upstairs to look over at her. It's so pathetic of me to not give my wife any spare time when she is four months pregnant with our first child.

I sighed, approaching our bedroom which still was gleaming the amber rays out of the ajar door, probably she is awake.

I slowly and reluctantly pushed the door of the bedroom open, I discerned her petite frame laying over the mattress while the lamp deposited on the bedside table was still switched on as I took steps towards her.

I discerned a clear view of her visage which was glinting with the tangerine tincture rays of lamp detaining her mellow skin, ornamented by the tincture.

I scrutinized her features closely. I couldn't resist murmuring under my breath, "Ravishing." Her tranquil breathing while I trailed my eyes all over her visage, she had her eyes leisurely closed while the tip of her nose was shimmering in the light and then locating her salmon lips which were parted away. I discerned the book being slumped over her baby bump.

I carefully picked up the book stooping down to her level before placing it on the bedside table in silence, trying not to make any noise. She is a light sleeper, since we got pregnant I had been doing my morning routine so serenely that she couldn't make out if I am up or not.

Crouching beside the bed, I licked my lips as I placed my hand over her slightly visible baby bump, waggling my eyes to her visage to satisfy myself that I didn't wake her up by doing so.

I let out a deep breath, Daddy is so sorry, butter cup. I want to spend so much time with you both but his work isn't letting him do so. Don't trouble your mom in there. "I am sorry Y/n. I know I am making it hard for you." I mumbled in an inaudible voice, gazing at her face while I retreated my palm from her belly and stretched to skim the back of my fingers over her mellow cheeks as I watched her move in her slumber, she turned her back at me.

My lips curled upwards in that jiff before I got my back straight and raised my feet getting a hold of the duvet so that I can cover her physique in the downy comforter, making sure that she was fully covered, I made my way to the restroom to change my clothes.

Taking a warm shower, I relaxed my limbs under the impact before donning myself in the satin Castleton green nightwear. Ruffling my locks from the towel, I chucked it in the laundry basket before sauntering out of the closet and moving to my side of the bed.

Swiftly and gingerly gliding inside the comforter, I scooted near her physique as she had her face on display. I smiled watching her with my dizzy eyes as I switched off the lamp beside me, which was gleaming the room as the room turned out murky for now I closed my eyes before slumber took over me.

-

You opened your eyes before squinting them all over the room, halting over the clock, "Half past ten." Your eyes widened reading the time as you hurriedly got off the bed, slipping in your slippers and sprinting out of the bedroom, "Did he go like that? Without meeting me?" You muttered, scurrying down the stairs, seeking his physique which was usually on the dining table but today he wasn't there.

Dejection took over your heart as soon as you didn't find him in the dining room. You quickly flipped over to decipher the lounge and the couch, hoping he would be there but there was no trace of him. You heard a feminine voice, "Oh! Good morning, Mrs. Kim. Mr. Kim has already left for his office. He said to not disturb you while you were asleep so I didn't wake you up." You perceived everything which the cook was telling you as you looked down at the wooden floor, disappointment evident all over your visage, "He could have woken me up."

You gulped down and looked at the cook, "Should I serve you breakfast, Mr. Kim?" She asked with a mild smile as you shook your head, "I will eat later, you can place it on the slab. I will have it." She nodded before sauntering back to the kitchen.

I walked back up upstairs to my room as a tear of frustration left my eye. Sinking on the mattress of the bed, you frustratedly sigh, "I can't live to be a solus. It's giving me a headache." You took a deep breath, trying not to cry any further as you wiped off the tear from your cheeks which gushed down, promptly.

Your heart was feeling heavy with all the things you were going through while being upset and furthermore, weeping wouldn't do any good for the little soul inside you so you thought not to let it downhearted you, "I know what I have to do." You nodded before sauntering to the restroom.
