You were walking with your brother towards the dance studio. He kept nagging and teasing you because of your feelings towards one of his closest friends.

"Are you gonna ask Ara to go with you to the bonfire?", you asked Taehyung.

"Yeah. I'm gonna ask her to go to the movies with me before we go to the bonfire. And I'm guessing you're not going since you're too chicken to ask Hoseok hyung", he laughed as he nudged you.

"I'm not chicken. I can ask him", you said.

When you walked into the dance studio, you bumped into Hoseok.

"Oh hey (y/n), I didn't know you were coming", he smiled at you.

You froze and kept stuttering. Taehyung was smirking as placed an arm around you.

"Yah hyung, you're going to the bonfire right?", Taehyung asked him.

"Yeah. Why?", he asked.

"Well because-"

"I have to pee", you quickly said.

Both of them looked at you with confused faces. Taehyung tried not to laugh as he noticed your face was turning red. You walked towards the restroom and splashed your face with water.

"I have to pee? Really (y/n)?", you said as you looked at yourself in the mirror.

"Really Taehyung? You want me to go with you??", Ara asked excitedly.

"Well yeah. But before, we're going to the movies. Alright? Be ready", Taehyung said.

Ara nodded and skipped her way towards her friends, giggling.

"Wanna go too? You can bring someone else", Taehyung asked Hoseok.

"Sure thing", he said.

You walked out of the bathroom and headed towards the benches.

"Hey (y/n)."

Hoseok sat down in front of you and smiled.

"So there's this movie coming out on Friday. Wanna go?", he asked.

Your mouth was opened but no words would come out. Your face was probably red from embarrassment.

"Um...sure", you finally said.

"Cool", he smiled and walked back with his friends.

You let out the breath you were holding. You couldn't believe that he asked you out. Did Taehyung say something to him? Either way you were happy.

It was now Friday and you were nervously waiting in your room. Taehyung left already to go on his date. You didn't tell him about your date with Hoseok because you knew he would tease you. As soon as the doorbell rang, you froze. You were now freaking out.

"Hey, ready?", Hoseok asked.

You smiled and got in his car. As he drove towards the movie theater, you kept quiet.

"Ah, there they are", Hoseok pointed.

Your smile dropped as you notice he was pointing towards Taehyung and Ara.

"Hey guys. Took you long enough", Taehyung said.

You followed them as they entered the movie theatre. Taehyung was buying the tickets while Hoseok grabbed the snacks. You were stuck with Ara.

During the movie, Taehyung kept flirting with Ara. Hoseok was too focused on the movie. You weren't really having fun.

"Imma go get a refill", you said as you grabbed your empty cup.

"Oh wait me too. Wait for me", Taehyung said.

As you walked towards the soda machine, you faced Taehyung.

"Why are you here? I'm on a date with Hoseok", you said.

"Date? I'm the one who asked him if he wanted to go to since he had no plans. He asked Jungkook and Jimin but they said they were busy. I didn't know he was gonna ask you too", he said.

"So he asked because I was his last choice?", you asked.

He shrugged his shoulders and motioned you to follow him. You pulled away and told him that you weren't feeling good so you left.

You went all the way home and cried. You were so sure he asked you because he liked you. He wasn't even paying attention to you. You headed towards the roof top of your house and looked up at the stars. You would always come out here when you're upset.

You were sitting there for a few minutes until you felt a presence next to you.

"Is this spot taken?"

You looked up to see Hoseok smiling down at you. You turned away and lightly shook your head. He sat down next to you, glancing over at you. You had your head facing down.

"Taehyung told me you were upset", he said.

"I'm fine. I was just feeling sick", you said.

"Really? Because he told me that you thought I asked you out on a date. That's why you're upset. Is that true?", he asked.

You didn't respond because you knew once you opened your mouth, you were gonna start crying.

"First of all, I'm not really into double dates. And second, I was actually gonna ask if you wanted to go to the bonfire with me...that's if you're not mad at me", he said.

You faced him and noticed his expression. He was serious. You were too busy looking into his eyes that you hadn't noticed his pinky crossing over yours.

"Go with me", he said.

"Why are you asking me? Is it because you have no one else to go with?", you asked, looking away.

He intertwined your hand with his and made you look at him.

"I'm asking you because I like you. And I'm sorry for upsetting you. I didn't think you'd get mad. Let me make it up to you by taking you to the bonfire. We'll have loads of fuuuun", he sang as he lightly nudged you, causing you to smile.

"Alright I'll go", you chuckled.

"Great", he smiled.

You looked into his eyes, noticed he was glancing down at your lips. He was leaning forward. Your lips were so close to touching but you got a little nervous and looked away.

"We should get going", you laughed nervously.

"Right", he said.

When you arrived at the bonfire, everyone looked at you two, which overwhelmed you. Hoseok held your hand and lightly squeezed to make sure you were alright.

"Wanna head over there?", he pointed to an empty spot near the water.

You felt a bit more relaxed now that you two were by yourselves. Though your chest tightened as he held your hand again.

"I'm glad you came with me", he said.

"Me too", you said.

"Really?", he asked.

"Yes really. I'm kinda surprised you asked me though", you said.

"Why?", he asked.

"Because...the last girl you were with doesn't compare to me. She made you happy", you said.

"Until she broke up with me to go with someone else. You're not like that. Do you know the reason why I started liking you? Every time you see something that you like, your eyes light up. And your laugh makes my heart race. Plus, the way you act around me, it's cute. I'm surprised you're not acting that way right now. I mean, I'm holding your hand and sitting next to you. You haven't stuttered one bit", he chuckled.

"I'm trying to be comfortable around you", you said.

"Do I make you that nervous that you have to try?", he chuckled.

"Maybe", you chuckled.

He smiled and took off his shoes s

"Come on. Let's put our feet in the water", he said.

While you took off your shoes, he ran into the water, yelling that the water was cold. You laughed and cautiously stepped into the water. Hoseok splashed water towards you. You were gonna splash water back at him but he grabbed your hands.

"Not so fast", he smiled.

His hands intertwined both of yours as you swayed. He placed his forehead against yours while looking at you.

"I wanna kiss you...but I don't wanna freak you out", he chuckled.

"...kiss me", you said.

"Really?", he asked.

You nodded. He placed his hand on your cheek and leaned forward until your lips were connected.

"Whoa", you breathed out.

He smiled and fought you back towards your shoes. You enjoyed the bonfire, mostly because Hoseok helped you enjoy it.
