Jin

"Why are you so annoying?? I told you to leave me alone", I said.

"Your mom said I have to help you. It's not my fault she chose me to look out for you", Jin said.

It's been a couple of days since I was released from the hospital. I was accidentally pushed off the roof of my house causing me to break my leg. I have to be in crutches for a couple of weeks and I'm really looking forward to the day I get this thing off so that the annoying neighbor can get off my back. Seriously, he always has to listen to what other people tell him to do and it gets quite annoying. Even though he is cute, I don't let myself get distracted by guys. They are just a waste of time.

"I don't need help. I can take care of myself", I said as I jumped up each step of the stairs.

A second later my foot didn't land properly on one of the steps. I screamed and fell back to only get caught by muscular arms.

"What was that again?", Jin asked.

"Oh shut it", I said as I pushed him off me. I had to go back down the three steps and pick up my crutch but Jin beat me to that. I glared at him and snatched the crutch away from him.

"I told you I don't need your help", I said.

I hopped my way to the kitchen and set my crutches aside. I tried grabbing the cereal that was in the top cabinet but I couldn't reach. I felt a warm presence behind me and an arm reaching over me to grab the cereal.

"I told you that I don't ne-"

As I turned around, Jin was so close to me, I felt his minty breath hitting my face. A slight shade of pink colored my cheeks and I had to look away to cool myself down.

"Why are you gonna eat cereal at this time? Let me make you dinner", he said.

"N-No. I want cereal", I said.

"Well in that case..", Jin put the cereal back in the cabinet and turned around.

"Hey! I was gonna eat that!", I yelled.

"Now you're gonna eat whatever I make you. You need to eat healthy or you'll get sick", he said.

"Why do you care?? It's not like we're friends", I said.

He looked at me for a couple of seconds before heading towards the stove. I tilted my head because I thought he would leave. Did I upset him?

After I finished eating, my mom called me.

"Sweetie, I forgot to tell you that the clothes are in the dryer. Get Jin to help you bring them up."

"But mom, I don't need his help. I can do things on my own. I'm not five years old", I said.

"Well sometimes you act like one. Just ask him and I'll be home tomorrow morning. Goodnight."

I groaned and headed towards the basement. I sneaked away when Jin wasn't looking. I don't need his help. I don't need anyone's help. I carefully hopped downstairs to the basement and grabbed the basket that was near the dryer. I opened the small door of the dryer and started putting the clothes in the basket.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming down here?"

I screamed and held my chest.

"Don't sneak up on me like that! And I don't need to tell you where I'm going", I said.

"Yes you do. I don't want you falling down the stairs. No me let me get this basket and I'll go first so I could open the door", he said.

"What?? You closed the door?? Idiot! That door has to be open at all times! It gets stuck when you close it!", I yelled.

"Oh...oops", he said.

He ran upstairs but struggled to open the door. He came back towards me and showed an apologetic face.

"Do you have your phone?", I asked him.

"No. Do you?", he asked.

"No. I left mine on the table. Ugh, this is your fault", I said.

"How is this my fault? I didn't know. And you should've told me you were coming down here anyways", he said.

"Ugh, whatever. I don't have the strength to argue with you", I said.

I crouched down until I was sitting down on the floor. The basement gets cold really fast. I didn't have my sweater. Jin kneeled down and tried to put his sweater around me but I pushed him away.

"Why are you like this?? I'm just trying to be nice. And there are no blankets down here so might as well suck it up and take my sweater or freeze until you get sick", Jin said.

I clenched my jaw and let him put his sweater around me. I instantly felt warm and brought carefully brought my knees up to my chest.

About five hours later, Jin was already asleep. He was a couple of feet away from me. I, on the other hand, was wide awake. I hated the basement. Plus..I'm afraid of the dark so darkness and basement is not a good combination. I scooted over closer to Jin and rested my head on his shoulder.

I fell asleep seconds later. Jin opened one of his eyes and smiled when he saw me peacefully sleeping. He uncovered himself from the shirt that kept him warm and wrapped it around my legs. Hours pass and Jin was shaking, all because he wanted to keep me warm.

The next morning, I woke up with fully warm. I noticed a shirt on my legs. I looked over at Jin and gasped as I saw his teeth clattering. He was shirtless. He must have been like this all night. I felt his forehead and bit my lip as I noticed how hot his face felt.

I grabbed a small rag and hopped over to the small sink. I soaked the rag with fresh water and squeezed all the excess water. I place the wet rag on his forehead and took off his sweater so I could put it on him. I went back to the sink and looking inside the cabinet. It's a good thing my mom keeps extra medicine down here.

"Jin, drink this", I whispered.

He slowly opened his eyes to only have them close again. I opened his mouth and made sure he drank all of the medicine. I waited a few minutes and noticed Jin moving.

"Oh thank god. I thought you were gonna die", I said.

"So you care now?", he smirked softly.

"N-No. I just felt bad", I muttered.

He grabbed my hand and slowly pulled me towards him so I'd be snuggling up against between his legs.

"W-What are you doing?", I asked him.

"I'm still cold. I need more warmth", he whispered.

"Uh..okay..but just until my mom gets here", I said.

"Mm..that's fine with me", he mumbled against my neck.

My mom found us in the basement, worried and relieved nothing happened to us. Jin stayed with us forms couple of days until he got better. I stopped being mean to him which is great because he asked me out on a date and I actually said yes. We'll just see how it turns out.
