Jin

"Oh no, they burned again", I groaned as I took out the burnt cookies out of the oven.

I've tried perfecting my cooking and baking for over a month already and nothing I make tastes good.

My mom kept telling me in order to not lose Jin from my life, I have to do something for him so he'll know I appreciate and cherish our relationship. My mom would always say a way to get to a man's heart is through his stomach. And here I am, burning everything I make.

I sat on the counter and pouted as I stared at the cookies.

"What happened here?", Jin asked as he saw the mess in the kitchen.

"N-Nothing", I said as I hid the cookies behind my back.

"Did you bake something?", he asked.

"No", I said.

He made a face and moved me out of the way.

"Oooh you made cookies", he said as he took one in his mouth.

"No wait", I tried snatching the cookie away but it was too late.

He took a bite and made a face. He took the cookie out of his mouth and slowly placed it back on the tray.

"I tried to warn you. They're sorta burnt", I sheepishly said.

"Sorta? (Y/n), they're like rocks", he said, banging the cookie on the edge of the counter.

"Ugh, I'm useless", I groaned.

"No you're not. You just need practice. I'll help you so you could learn faster", he smiled.

"But I need to learn to do it myself. What if you get sick or something? How am I gonna feed you? You can't live your life eating ramen noodles", I whined.

"First of all, I can't be sick my whole life. And second, there's nothing wrong with eating ramen for a couple of days. I've done it before. Anyways, don't you wanna learn how I make my special soup? You always end up finishing it", Jin smiled.

"No I don't. That's you. Stop pointing fingers. And I guess it won't hurt to learn from you. I mean I'd rather learn from you than anyone else. You're food always comes out tasting delicious", I clapped my hands.

After hours of making food, Jin grabbed a fork and started poking the food he was about to eat. I bit my lip and crossed my fingers, hoping it would come out as good as the way Jin makes food. When the fork touched his lips, I raised my eyebrows as I waited for Jin's opinion.

"This is really good", Jin said as he stuffed his mouth with more food.

"Really?? Finally", I sighed in relief.

"See, all you needed was patience....and me. Well now that I taught you a few things, imma give you some homework", he said.

"But I'm not even in school", I said, confused.

"It's gonna be Valentine's Day on Friday so instead of me taking you out somewhere, you will make dinner for us. And if I really like the food, then I give you a prize. But if I don't like it, you get nothing. Got it?", he said.

"Wait what?? That's too much pressure for me. Why do I have to do it? Can't I make it some other day? I don't wanna ruin Valentine's Day", I pouted.

"You said you wanted to learn right? Just think of this as cooking class", he said before kissing my cheek.

I groaned before walking away to the bedroom. I paced back and forth as I thought about what I should make for Valentine's Day. I called J-Hope so I could tell him what's going on.

"Hobiiiiii I neeed heeeeeelp!", I yelled.

"What's going on?? Are you being attacked by snakes?!"

"What? No. Jin wants me to cook something for Valentine's Day but I don't know what. What do you think I should cook?", I asked, hoping for an answer.

"Well you should cook something that Jin likes to eat. He loves spicy noodles."

"No I'm not cooking noodles. I always make that. I want it to be special food for a special day", I groaned.

"Uh..pizza?"

I groaned louder and dropped myself on the bed.

It's Valentine's Day and I'm still trying to figure out what to cook. Jin said he had to go to work but will be back before 7pm so that gives me a couple of hours to think of something, cook it, get dressed and serve the food before Jin gets here.

After a few phone calls, I decided to make Doenjang jjigae. I prepared everything and kept telling myself to not screw it up.

I took a quick shower and wore the dress I bought a few days ago. After doing my hair and make up, I went back to the kitchen and prepared the table. It's ten minutes away from seven and I started panicking. I also wanted to make dessert instead of just cooking dinner so I made a chocolate chip pie. I just hope everything comes out the way I expect.

"Wow, (y/n) this looks amazing", Jin said.

"Thanks. I wanted today to be different", I said.

I stared at the flowers and chocolates that he was holding on each hand.

"Oh...these are for you. I didn't know what flowers you like so I got all of them. The rest is in the car. Don't worry about that though I'll get them later", he smiled.

I blushed as he stared at me with those gorgeous eyes. He put the flowers in a vase and put the chocolates aside.

When we sat down, I waited for Jin to take a bite of the food. My lip was probably bleeding from how hard I was biting it. Jin's eyes widened and stared at the plate in front of him as he chewed on the food that was in his mouth.

"So? How is it?", I asked nervously.

"You made this by yourself??", he asked.

"Yea", I said as I looked down.

"It's good! How did you manage to do all of this and cook a delicious meal?", he asked as he took more bites.

"Well I learned from the best", I smiled.

As I was washing the dishes, I felt a pair of hands wrap around my waist.

"What are you doing? I'll wash the dishes tomorrow. You deserve your prize now", he whispered into my ear.

"Ooh a prize. What kind of prize? Do I get ice cream?", I asked excitedly.

"Yea, you get ice cream. It's vanilla flavor...sorta", he smirked.

"Hm?", I raised an eyebrow, confused of what he was talking about.

He rolled his eyes and chuckled while he carried me into the bedroom.

"So it's not ice cream?", I blushed.
