You were slowly walking down the halls, dragging your feet with the small amount of energy you had. The laughter that echoed through the hall annoyed. Mostly because you know who those laughs belonged to.

"Tell me again. What happened?", Petra said, covering her mouth with her hand.

"I had dropped all the cupcakes I bought. I spent $12 on it", Jimin said.

I shut my eyes and remained calm. I tried to pass them without getting recognized but someone had to bump into me, causing them to look over at the body that had fallen to the ground.

"(Y/n), are you okay??", Jimin asked, helping me up.

"What a jerk. Didn't even apologize", Petra glared at the guy who was too much in a hurry to even stop and examine what he did.

Petra is in at least three classes with Jimin. I only have her for one. She moved to the school about four weeks ago. She and Jimin have been hanging out nonstop while I felt a little left out. They get along so well, reminiscing on the past. Did I mention Petra is his ex-girlfriend?

He has told me a lot about her. Well..not really. Just that her name is Petra and they broke off their relationship because of long distance. Not so long distance now. I wonder if he still has feelings for her.

"(Y/n)? I've been calling your name for the past 2 minutes", Jimin said as he waved a hand in front of my face.

I shook my head and managed to create a small smile that looked genuine, although I doubt it from how twitchy my lips get.

"Sorry..spaced out", I said.

"Hey, did you do the math homework? I didn't understand one thing", she asked.

"Yeah I did. Why?", I asked suspiciously.

"I just wanted to ask you if you can help me. I noticed you're always answering problems in class so I thought why not get help from a good friend", she smiled.

"Uh.."

"That's a great idea! You guys can be study buddies. What do you think (y/n)?", Jimin turned towards me with a huge smile, one that I can't say no to.

"Um..yeah, I guess I can do that", I shrugged my shoulders.

Thank you so much! I don't know what I would do if you said no", she hugged me with a tight grip and laughed.

After she pulled away, she turned to Jimin and continued their conversation they had earlier. I didn't bother butting into their conversation. I stopped trying a while ago since it was no use.

School was over and I was heading back to my house only to be called out by someone. When I looked back, my lips turned into a thin line when I realized it was Petra calling out for me.

"Hey! Do you think you can help me study today?", she asked nicely.

I was so leaning towards a 'sorry I can't I'm too busy' but I can only see Jimin's disappointed face in my mind. So I nodded and gave her a smile. She clapped her hands excitedly and looped her arm with mine.

"So how close are you and Jimin anyways?", she asked.

"We're just friends", I said.

"Really? Not even like a small crush? A kiss? Sex while you're drunk?", she asked.

I quickly looked at her with a shocked expression. Her face was serious at first before bursting out into laughter.

"I'm just joking! I know what your thinking. No I never had sex with him. But I can tell you do", she smirked.

"W-What are you talking about?", I asked nervously.

"Oh come on, I see the way you look at him. You sigh a lot and bite your lip. You're in love with him", she tried to hide her smile.

"Are you crazy??", I asked her, pushing her hand away.

"Maybe. But I can tell he feels the same way about you", she said.

"How..how do you know?", I asked cautiously.

"He talks about you a lot. I find it cute actually. When he talks about you, he blushes. He smiles to himself when he talks about the kind of adventures you two have. When we were together, he would never brag about our good times. I think that's the main reason why we broke it off. Because we weren't really happy with each other. We're better off as friends anyways. But you? I totally support that", she smiled.

A smile crept up on my face while a hint of pink  colored my cheeks. As we arrived at my house, Jimin was waiting on my front porch.

"Jimin? What are you doing here?", I asked him.

"I..uh..need to talk to you..it's important", he said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I guess I'll wait over here", Petra smirked as she nudged me forward.

After Petra was a few feet away from us, Jimin took my hand into his and cleared his throat.

"(Y/n), I haven't been completely honest with you. When you asked me if I ever had any feelings for a really close friend, I said no..even though it was a yes. I noticed how sad you've been these past couple of days and I'm guessing it has to do with our past relationship. If you think that now that's she here, she'll replace you, you're wrong. She'll never be able to take away what he have. And she knows that so I'm really glad that I can be able to do something that I've been afraid to do", he said.

I stood there paralyzed, not knowing what to say. Then my heart was racing as I processed what he was talking about. He leaned in and placed his lips on mine. My eyes widened for a second before I wrap my arms around his neck and respond to the kiss.

When he pulled away, he smiled and lightly laughed at my reaction. I was still paralyzed. My mouth and eyes were wide open while my cheeks were burning red.

"What? What was that for?", I asked him.

"That was my confession. I wanted to do that a long time ago but I didn't know how. Petra helped me though", he said.

"Yup and my plan worked", she smirked as she walked towards us.

"Plan?", I said, confused.

"I didn't really need help with the homework. I just needed and excuse to brag about Jimin's crush on you which I knew you'd have no problem with since you feel the same way. So now what? Are you guys together or just banging buddies?", she asked.

"Banging buddies?? We just kissed!", I yelled as I felt my face heating up.

"She can never take any of my jokes. Anyways let's go inside your house and binge watch tv shows", she said as she walked passed me.

"But we-"

"(Y/n)?"

I looked back at Jimin and noticed his ears were turning red.

"I was just wondering..if you'd maybe..like to go on a date..as more than friends?", he asked shyly.

My face wasn't getting a break from all this heat. I shuffled around and tried to keep calm.

"Yes..I'd love to", I smiled, after weeks, a genuine smile.
