''Jimin!'' You almost yell through the phone, ''Where are you!!''

''Y/N, calm down,'' Jimin says soft voice, ''I'm at the bakery now.''

''But your twitter!'' You reply, ''I thought you said you were going to make it!''

''I am, I am, please calm down people are looking weird at me with you yelling into my phone,'' Jimin whispers, ''It's an old video, I just uploaded it to trick Jungkook.''

''Oh,'' You reply perplexed.

''I guess it's believable then,'' Jimin replies, ''besides if I was still in Paris I wouldn't be able to pick up the phone.''

''True,'' You reply, ''So where are now?''

''I told you, I'm at the bakery,'' Jimin sighs, ''Like you asked me to.''

''You have the cake?'' You curiously ask, ''Does it look nice?''

''No, not yet I just entered when you called,'' Jimin replied, ''I'm hanging up now to get it and then come to your apartment right after, okay?'' 

''Yeah, okay, '' You reply, ''See you in a few,''

Jimin says goodbye before hanging up the phone. 

''I was right, wasn't I?'' Seokjin's yells from the kitchen.

''Yeah, he's here,'' You walk over to the kitchen, ''He recorded it in Paris and uploaded it to trick Jungkook into thinking he was still in Paris. He is picking up the cake and then coming here. How is it going in the kitchen?'' 

''Almost done!'' Seokjin turns around and shoos you out of the kitchen with his spatula, ''You go help Hoseok and Namjoon with the decorations.''

*BAAM*

''Oh no! What happened!'' You rush over to the living room to see an astonished Namjoon holding a popped balloon in his hands. 

''Sorry,'' He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.

''Remind me again why you are in charge of helping me decorate?'' You sigh, ''This is like this fifth thing you broke.''

''Everyone else is still busy,'' Namjoon replies, ''I'm all you got stop complaining.''

''I'm sorry, I'm just nervous,'' You softly smile at him, ''Thanks for helping.''

''No problem,'' Namjoon replies, ''When will the everyone else arrive?''

''Yoongi will be a little bit late, he just texted he forgot the time and is on his way now,'' You grabbed you phone and looked at you messages, ''And Taehyung is now about half an hour away. He spent the weekend at his parents and is still on his way. His other friends could arrive any minute now''

''Everything is going according to plan,'' Hoseok says while sticking some decorations to the ceiling, ''Stop worrying, Y/n.''

''I know, I know,'' You reply, ''Do you think you can finish this by yourself? I'm gonna pick up Jungkook.'' 

''Yeah sure!'' Hoseok replies determined, '''Go! Go! Get the birthday boy.''

While walking to your car you grab your phone and dial Jungkook's number.

''Ah, Jungkook,'' You say with a neutral voice, ''Are you still working out?''

''Yeah,'' Jungkook replies on the other end, ''What time will you be home?''

''Ah, well,'' You try to sound sad and guilty, ''I don't know, my boss is being very difficult today, I might have to work late today.''

''But...'' Jungkook sighs on the other hand, ''Y/n, you promised.''

''I know,'' You sigh softly, ''I'm really sorry Jungkook, there is nothing I can do.''

''You already weren't able to get a vacation at the same time as me, and now this?'' Jungkook's voice is barely a whisper and guilt piles up in your stomach it sounds as if he is on the verge of tears, for a moment your thinking about dropping the act and just tell the truth but you put so much work in it you want it to stay a suprise.

''I'm really sorry,'' You stay silent for a moment to act as if you're distracted by something, ''I have to go now my boss is looking at me, he doesn't like me calling when I'm at work. I'll text you when I'm leaving work, okay.''

''Okay,'' Jungkook says in a disappointed voice, ''At least try to be there before midnight.''

''I'll do my best, Jungkook,'' You reply and then hang up the phone. 

The poor guy, he sounded really hurt but that also means he will probably be really happy when you will show up at his gym in about 20 min. You and Jungkook have been dating for about 2 years now and everything is going extremely well. The two of you met at a photoshoot, you were their photographer and Jungkook was really interested in photography he asked you some professional advice on some photo's he took and that's how the two of you got to talking. Exchanging phone numbers to initially share photorgaphy knowledge but soon turned into something more. 

Today he was turning 22 and you had contacted all of his friends to be at your apartment to celebrate his birthday but you wanted it to be a suprise so you had told everyone that they should make up an excuse that they are not able to come. Though a few of his friends had said they would meet up with him later most of them had told him off, Jimin had apparently even gone as far to post a fake video on his Twitter. 

After a 20 min drive, you arrived at the gym, after a short round around the gym you found him swimming in the gym's swimming pool. He was so absorbed in his workout he hadn't noticed you yet. You crouched down at the edge of the swimming pool and watched how his powerfull strokes smoothly pulled him through the water until his hands reached the edge of the swimming pool. Gasping for air he popped his head out of the water and then noticed you sitting at the edge of the pool looking at him. 

''Y/N?!'' Happiness washed over his face, ''What are you doing here?''

''I cam to pick you up,'' You smiled brightly at him. 

''I thought you had to work,'' Jungkook hoisted himself out of the water and ran over to you, water dripping from his body onto the floor. 

''Jungkook?'' You slowly started to move back but it was too late his still wet and dripping body slammed into yours soaking your dress, his arms wrapped tightly around you pulling you even closer.

''I'm so happy to see you,'' He said holding you tightly. 

''I'm sorry I lied,'' You put your arms around his strong body, your dress was already soaking wet from his hug anyway, ''I just wanted to suprise you.''

''Don't do this ever again,'' Jungkook says and pulls back slightly to look at you, ''I was really hurt, you know. I just didn't want to fight on my birthday.''

''I'm sorry,'' You smile softly at him, ''Let me make it up to you, go change I have something to show you.''

Jungkook gives a soft peck on your cheek before grabbing his towel and rushing into the changing room. When the door closes you look at your dress, it completely soaked from Jungkook's hug and as it is a light-colored dress the shape of your bra is already clearly visible. You curse silently at Jungkook before making your way over to the ladies dressing room to dry your dress with a hairdryer. After a few minutes, most of the dress is dry and you walk out while still smoothing out your dress.  You're surprised to find an already dressed Jungkook waiting for you.

''Let's go!'' Jungkook says exited, ''Where are we going?''

''you'll see,'' you grab Jungkook's hand and drag him to the car. 

After a short drive, you park in the parking lot of your apartment on the way here you saw how Jungkook's excited face changed from confusion to disappointment when he recognized where you were going. 

''But this is just your apartment,'' Jungkook looks at you disappointed, ''I thought you wanted to take me somewhere?''

''Yeah, I did, '' You smile mischievous at him, ''To my apartment, come on let's go inside.''

While the two of you ride the elevator you quickly sneak in a message to Namjoon that the two of you have arrived. After a short elevator ride you arrive at the door you can still hear some shuffling inside and look at Jungkook to see if he heard it too but he is just looking expectantly at you to open the door. You turn the key and open the door to reveal a room full of people with Jimin in the center holding a beautiful rainbow cake with 22 burning candles on it.

Unfortunatly I didn't have time to write this chapter on his birthday because I was still on vacation myself. Still, as Jungkook is my bias I thought I should't just let this pass by without writing a birthday one shot. She here it is the late birthday chapter!
