-two weeks later, Monday-

*at school*

Jungkook hasn't been at school for a few days last week.

While I'm relieved about that, I also feel a bit bored. He seems to make school just a bit more interesting. Too bad his annoying personality really ruins it for me.

Lunch just ended and I really don't feel up to going to the next classes. Maybe ... I should skip?

I've never skipped classes for no reason other then to just do it. It's such an endearing thought...

No, Y/N!! You're just being wrongly influenced!

Me: "yes that's all it is!"

Teacher: "Y/N, hasn't class started already? Why are you heading toward the exit? Get back to your classroom!"

It seemed I subconsciously started leaving anyway...

Me: "yes, sir, right away"

I watched as the teacher walked away, heading toward their own class. It was my chance!

I dashed to the exit, heading out happily. I inhaled the comforting smell of freedom. (I don't encourage skipping classes don't be wrongly influenced by this😂)

So, what to do?

For starters, I began walking in the direction of my house, but took a bit of a detour just for some fun. I was headed toward the end of a block when I noticed a handsome boy standing there, looking around.

Oh, it's Jungkook. *can't even be surprised anymore*

Me: "*sarcastic* fancy meeting you here, aye?"

He turned and looked at me, silent for only a moment.

Jungkook: "great Y/N, I didn't have to go looking for you for too long!"

Me: "looking for me? Why would you be looking for me on a random street like this? -_-"

Jungkook: "I was going to stop by your house first in case you were absent today, but it seems I forgot where your house is at"

Me: "*mumbles* I've never felt so relieved..."

Jungkook: "huh?"

Me: "never mind! Anyways, why on earth were you looking for me all of the sudden? You've been gone for a while, so what sort of business could we possibly have?!"

I crossed my arms, and showed a bit of attitude.

Jungkook: "actually, I've been away for a reason that may interest you *smirk*"

Me: "oh? And that reason is what, exactly?"

Jungkook: "you see, Namjoon and I have met up throughout the weeks"

Me: "*scoffs* and you think that interests me?"

Jungkook just smiled and looked at me, silently.

Me: "*clears throat* um, so anyway... wh-what caused these sudden meet ups? N-not that I really care, ya know, I just thought maybe I should ask, and stuff..."

Surprisingly, instead of receiving a smug response from Jungkook, he just laughed at how awkward I was.

Me: "pouts and growls* hey stop laughing! It's not funny! I was being serious!"

Jungkook: "*laughing slowly dies down* ok, ok. Sorry *laughs*"

Me: "yes, well my question still remains. Why did you and Namjoon meet?"

Jungkook: "I was hesitant to listen to him, what with our past and all, but he seems to have changed, y'know? Well obviously you wouldn't know but let me get to the point. Namjoon wants to meet with you again"

My face was then very stern and serious. I did not like the sound of what Jungkook was proposing.

Me: "I decline"

Jungkook: "think it over before you decline"

Me: "whatever..."

I started to continue my walk, and for some reason Jungkook walked beside me.

Jungkook: "so where you heading?"

Me: "mmm I skipped class so I'm going home *shrug*"

Jungkook looked away from me, pursing his lips.

Jungkook: "you wanna hang out?"

Me: "why would I wanna hang out?"

Jungkook just shrugged, still looking away.

Me: "as long as you don't do anything weird than I suppose I can hang out with you today... at least for a little while."

Jungkook's face brightened a little bit, but he tried not to show his good mood.

I kept walking, slow at first so that I knew he was walking with me.  I then picked up my pace, and he did as well. I did it again, he responded accordingly. I then smirked, and accelerated into a sprint.

Jungkook: "huh? Hey, wait up!"

He started running as well, trying hard to catch up to me. I dashed down several blocks, and took a few turns, till I reached my desired destination. It was a part of town that had two arcades, a park, and several fast food places. I thought it a fitting place for us two, as it will hopefully keep us too busy to be awkward.

I caught my breath and waited for Jungkook to catch up. It didn't take him too long to catch up, as he seems to be a very fast, athletic person.

Jungkook: "*still catching his breath* what was that all about?"

Me: "*laughs victoriously and points down the street* I thought I would bring you here instead of you leading me elsewhere! It's a super fun part of the city!"

Jungkook: "*laughs breathlessly* ok then, I guess I'll trust your judgement"

Me: "well, leeeeeet's gooooo!!"

I wasn't sure why I felt so happy while Jungkook and I were hanging out that day. Perhaps I was in a good mood because I skipped school, or Jungkook wasn't being incredibly annoying. Whatever the case, I enjoyed playing arcade games with him. We even played games with some kids in the park. He was surprisingly very good with kids.

It was around 5:45 P.M. that we got hungry. I was bit reluctant to get food with him, as it made me feel like I was befriending an enemy. Nonetheless, my growling stomach practically answered for me.

We finally chose a place to order, and I got (meal) and (beverage.)

He got the same thing as me. -__-

We ate all our food in between some small talk. I guess there was lot to talk about since we never got to know each other before. We share the same favorite color, red. (A/N if red isn't ur fav color then sorry XD all ik is it's Jungkook's fav irl so-)

Eventually we both finished our meal. I got out my wallet to pay for at least my own food, but he grabbed my hand that had the wallet in it and put it down.

Jungkook: "I'm paying"

Me: "I think I should at least pay for myself, don't you think *furrows eyebrows, frustratedly*"

Jungkook shook his head, and smiled. He got up, walked to the counter, and paid for both of us. I couldn't understand why he was being so nice. I thought he only wanted to be an annoyance to me, not some gentleman. Hm, maybe it's just a bit of good luck for me...

We left the restaurant and walked down a block or so, in silence. I stopped in my tracks.

Me: "mm, I think I'm gonna head home now, Jungkook. *checks time on phone, 6:45 P.M.* It's kinda late, no?"

Jungkook: "let me walk you home"

Me: "ok whoooaaa hold up, son, I believe we've spent over our quota of time together for the day, don't ya think?"

Jungkook: "it's too dangerous at night"

Me: "since when do you start worrying about me, huh? Back off, man, I can handle my own safety"

Jungkook: "I'm still going with you"

He stared at me, outwardly showing his stubbornness. I figured there was no point in opposing his company so I shrugged and kept walking. As predicted, he followed after me, about a pace or two behind me.

I returned home with no distractions, or interruptions. Before I entered the house, I thought it proper to send Jungkook off, as he wasn't too bad today.

Me: "mm, even though it was unnecessary, thanks for taking me home. Today was actually pretty lit *laughs*"

Jungkook laughed silently, and nodded.

Me: "you should start coming back to school. Too many absences won't end well for you, I'm sure"

Jungkook: "you just miss me, don't you? *smiles, winks*"

Me: "*glares then eyes soften; laughs* now you're acting a little more like the Jungkook that I know. Anyway, you best be on your way. I shall retire to my chambers"

Jungkook: "*confused* why are you talking like that? *scoffs, smiling* it's not like you"

Me: "'tis very much like me, but you wouldn't know that, as there many parts of my personality that you don't know of *smirks, clears throat and straightens face* I'm actually going inside now. Goodnight"

I turned and heard Jungkook lightly say "Goodnight, Y/N" before I went into the house.

After explaining to my family why I was out late, I went to my room and changed into comfy pajamas. I shut off my phone and laid in bed, subconsciously smiling to myself.

Today was pretty great, to be honest... if only Jungkook was always like that, then maybe he could be friends with Suga and I. Woozi, too.
