“Did you see the new picture Taehyung uploaded?”

Alarmed, I straightened up my back and tilted my head towards the conversation the girls were having. It was lunch time, but food was the last thing on my mind.

“Yeahh! Gosh he looks so hot there! That jawline...aghhh”

Taehyung was the highschool heartthrob of girls...and boys, especially mine. He was also my classmate.

I had spent the last few years only hearing about his pictures and had tried as best as I could to visualize them in my head. Despite being in the same class, I could never build up the courage to talk to him.

My parents didn't allow me to have a phone and it was very embarrassing for me to ask the girls in my class so that they'd let me see his pictures.

But now finally... I looked down at the phone in my hand with indescribable adoration... My parents had bought me a phone. Yess! I was really grateful.

Last night I created all the necessary accounts to open a profile on Instagram, I even downloaded the application but was too scared.

Sighing, I opened Instagram and clicked on ‘sign in’ without thinking. To my horror my email address automatically got connected and my profile was created.

I stared at the screen for a good five minutes, “Well... Let's just upload a photo...what should use as a username?”

Then I spent another ten minutes to find a decent picture of myself and finally decided on this.

My Mom took this picture last year on my birthday. I look cute... and then like an real amateur I used the same photo as my profile picture. Now what about my username?

I stared at the photo again and suddenly an idea popped up inside my brain. I quickly typed in ‘bunnygguk’ in the username section and my profile was done. I almost squealed out in excitement.

Should I search for his account now...? I bit my lip hard in thought and with shaky hands clicked on the small magnifying glass. My throat went as dry as Sahara desert as I typed in ‘Kim Taehyung ’.

‘gucciv’ was the top searched profile and with a new found energy I clicked on the profile.

Immediately, a bunch of Taehyung's pictures greeted my eyes, blessing them. He had a little over 50k followers.

I saw the most recently uploaded picture, the one the girls were talking about.

I couldn't control the breathy moan that left my mouth and honestly I didn't care if anyone heard me. The beautiful human being on my screen was the only thing that mattered.

Greedily I scrolled down, taking in all the pictures. I was in heaven. At last I was able to look at his pictures freely. After all these years of liking him...finally...

Something horrible happened then... I accidentally double-tapped on a picture, one that was a year older.

I stared at the small, red heart in horror.

Fjzhfobkchkfhxfhxfgivjvh What have I done?!?!?!?

I shoved my phone away, “Aishh I'm going crazy!” I cursed as I glared at my index finger.

This was exactly why I was afraid of opening an IG account. I had always heard how my classmates regretted their lives after accidentally double -tapping on their crush's older photos.

Goshh...I feel like crying...now he'd think that I'm a weird stalker... Aghhhh

My phone vibrated at that moment and I hesitantly unlocked it. I had a new notification from Instagram.

Gulping down my saliva, I opened the app again.

gucciv has liked your picture.

gucciv commented on your picture “You look so cute💕”.

gucciv wants to send you a message.

gucciv started following you.

At that point, my whole world was shaking, my hands were ice cold. I opened the message section and clicked on the chat with Taehyung.

We are classmates...you know me, right?

Who doesn't know you?

Me:
Yes...
Umm...about the like...I promise I wasn't stalking you...🥺

He didn't reply after that and I only had fifteen more minutes left till lunch break ended, so I just concentrated on my food, well tried to.

“Booh!”

Startled, I almost dropped the spoon that I was holding, “Who the- Taehyung?!”

“Hey!”

“Ah..I- Hi....” Wahhh...way to go Jungkook...

“If you had any older pictures... I would have liked them too....Why did you just open an IG acc now?”

“Huh?”

“I mean...umm...Wait let me just text you.” and he started typing on his phone. My phone vibrated a few seconds later.

Not believing what I was seeing I looked at Taehyung with a questioning gaze. We had never exchanged long enough sentences to like each other. Not that it stopped me from liking him...

“I understand that you are wondering how that's even possible as we never talked...”

I could only nod.

“What happened with you is exactly what happened with me.” with that he sat down on a chair beside me and started eating his lunch.

I noticed that the girls from earlier were glaring at me but that didn't bother me.

I was happy, all because of a double-tap.
