SEOKJIN let out noises of discomfort and annoyance, his movements becoming more hasty while feeling the rushing pour of rain flush onto his thick layered coat, not to mention his skin. From time to time, he hated the rain and how damp and cold he became from it afterwards. Although this had to be the most rainfall this area had gotten throughout this entire year.
Rushing through the parking lot and fumbling around with keys, pretty soon got him into his dry car which was surprisingly still warm despite the cold, chilly air. He cranked up his car up with much hassle, still hung over the fact that he was the last person out of his job again. He pulled out of the parking lot and making his way onto the expressway, which was actually the shortest passage to his humble home. A yawn escaped his soft, plump lips as he drove through the heavy shower of rain that sounded much like hail, to be honest. Regardless of the rough pitter patter slamming on the roof of his car, it was actually a peaceful ride home.
Seokjin soon rode his way off of the highway, only about 2 miles away from his home. He hummed a relaxing tune that somehow fit the situation he was in, though, not until he saw a figure lying in the middle of the road. Fortunately, he was following the speed limit so accurately to the point it made it difficult for him to stop. He squinted his eyes then started making his headlights shine a bit brighter to get a clear view of the figure.
His eyes widened, seeing that it was a Calico cat lie in the center of the street. Jin cracked his car door open, his brows furrowing in pure uneasiness of the creature's well-being. He paced his way over to the cat, seeing that, sadly, he had been hit pretty critically. There was no telling what vehicle he could've been hit by - a motorcycle, a car, and for God's sake, not a truck. It's hind legs were both incredibly wounded, even having a tire mark engraved onto it's gentle flesh. Unfortunately, there was no blood from that area, only a little bit dripping from it's ear that rested on the pavement.
The shower of rain was starting to fade out the visible crimson, but the cut on his ear would remain permanent. His chest was still breathing up and down at a rapid pace, meaning that the event only occurred just minutes ago, leaving the cat traumatized. It's eyes were wide open, staring at absolutely nothing in particular.
In fact, he had a collar around his neck. An expensive leather collar with a nametag.
"It's okay, calm down. I'm here now.", Seokjin whispers, soothingly. He was a Veterinarian, so he knew actually more about animals than anyone else of his friends.
His hand slowly moved towards the nametag, seeing no address yet this cat did had a name. On the golden tag, were the words engraved:
Park Jimin
P.JM
"Jimin, huh?", the man muttered, then carefully scooped up injured animal and slowly made his way back to his car.
The cat, Jimin, was tense. He must've known that a human had hit him, but he couldn't tell if it were on purpose or on accident. He lost the ability to move or struggle to break free of the man's carry, no matter how comforting it was. He was slowly put on the cushioned passenger seat, his eyes soon becoming half open.
"It's okay, Park Jimin. I promise I'll take good care of you. We'll be home soon.", Jin says, softly, giving a sympathetic expression to the creature. He honestly hated seeing dead or alive animals lie in critical condition thanks to the carelessness of a human being.
Yes, we all make mistakes, but some, are simply easy to avoid.
Hi, welcome to my trash :)
