Earth II was founded 1052 years ago. Since then we have a new calendar and use After Earth (AE*) instead of Anno Domini (AD), a change that not only stands for a new era of progress but also hints to the advanced scientific development regarding space exploration and inter-solar economy we underwent over the last centuries.

This progress was only achievable with the political change Earth experienced 1052 years ago. Back then, the political heads of all nations came together to discuss the future of their planet from the point of trans-solar political communication and economic competition. With 83% they voted for the 3-staged technocracy we have now, system Earth II. The global government regulates inter-solar matters, and regulations of earth-intern matters are managed by the continental and the national governments.

What is a technocracy, you ask?

A technocracy is guided by scientists and economists, determined to find the most efficient and rational way to achieve growth and progress for the whole system. There are no political parties; it is reigned by the most intelligent people the system has to offer with knowledge of centuries of economic development and crisis. Our heads are supported by artificial intelligences like me and by super computers to simulate the result of important decisions.

You might say that this sounds like a cold and unsocial government, but as time showed aiming for the goals which benefit the whole system leads to a healthy and satisfying life for the system's population. In fact, Earth II has many immigrants from other solar systems who came to study and to benefit from the advanced technic and academic system.

The Earth II Space Agency in Seoul is one of Earth's greatest examples for progress. Like the academies in Washington D.C., Paris and Moscow, more than 50 intergalactical species can be found on Seoul's EII Space Academy campus, working hand in hand to become our next generation of scientists, technicians and pilots and explore the farthest ends of our galaxy. The fleet of explorer and interceptor ships is constantly growing, and every year about three new inhabited planets are discovered and befriended.

Earth II is also one of the leading system in the USS, the United Solar Systems, and has the best military space force for inter-solar missions.
