After Kyla, Kiara, JJ, and Pope drove to The Wreck to hideout in, they fell asleep. Kyla was able to get some sleep, but definitely not enough since she kept thinking about John B, Rafe, Tara, Sheriff Peterkin and basically everything else that had went wrong in just a few hours.

She laid on one of the couches in the restaurant, her eyes opened as she stared up at the ceiling. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Pope get up and make his way over to JJ, who was leaning against the wall. "He's pinched for sure, man," JJ said to Pope as the boy neared him.

"No. They wouldn't still be patrolling if they caught him," Pope told him, also leaning against the wall.

"Let's hope," JJ replied.

"You know, we were in that car. They're probably looking for us, too," Kiara spoke up, making Kyla sit up from where she was laying.

"We don't know that for sure," Kyla told her, trying to stay positive once again.

"Yeah, well, we don't know if they aren't after us, so we just gotta act like they are for now," Kiara said and Kyla nodded slowly, knowing she was right. Like Kyla had mentioned in the past, 'you can never be too careful'.

"Well, if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help John B," Pope said after a moment, pushing up from the wall to get get his bag and motorcycle keys.

"So, find him before they do?" JJ asked, but Pope didn't answer him as he began walking out the door. "Pope?"

"I'm gonna get gas for the boat," Pope told him quickly.

"Hey, you be careful," Kiara said, making Pope stop and look at her. "Okay?"

Pope stared at her for moment before he looked back at JJ and said, "Meet me at the dock at three. Don't be late." He then walked out, completely ignoring Kiara.

"Uh..." Kyla trailed off in confusion, glancing at JJ before Kiara got up from her seat and followed after Pope. JJ raised his eyebrows at Kyla before they both followed Kiara out the door.

"Okay, what is your problem?" Kiara asked angrily as she walked down the wooden steps.

"No problem, Officer. I'm just doing my job," Pope replied without even looking back at the younger Carrera girl. He then hopped on the bike.

"Look, I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings," Kiara said as Pope revved the engine over her voice.

"What was that?" Pope questioned, making Kyla raise her eyebrows at his pettiness.

"Look, I didn't mean to."

"Sorry, I can't hear you. What was that?"

"Pope, I'm being serious — I'm trying to talk to you!" she yelled as Pope continued to rev the engine over her. He then drove away right when Kiara finished talking, making Kiara turn and walk back over to Kyla and JJ with a hurt look on her face.

Kyla was about to say something to her sister before a helicopter flew above them. "Who the hell is that?" JJ asked.

"I have no idea," Kyla answered breathlessly, but she had a feeling that it had something to do with John B.

Kyla, JJ, and Kiara started getting bags of food ready for John B and Sarah at the Wreck. "You sure he wasn't just being weird Pope?" JJ asked after Kiara explained what had happened between her and Pope last night, and that morning.

"It wasn't really the kind of thing that needed interpretation," Kiara replied as she handed JJ and Kyla more food since they were bagging the items. "Is that gonna be enough food for them?"

"I mean, for a couple of weeks and that's all they need, so..." JJ trailed off and Kyla nodded.

"Look, I think I actually hurt his feelings," Kiara told them with a hurt look.

"It's not your fault, Kie. If you don't like him, then you don't like him. There's nothing you can do," Kyla explained before she put the bags into a cardboard box, which JJ picked up.

Kiara just shrugged before they began to walk outside. "Look, don't beat yourself up too much. He's completely changed his feels. The past 24 hours have been like Jekyll and Hyde," JJ told her once they made it outside.

"I'm surprised you know who Jekyll and Hide is," Kyla said to JJ, which earned her an unamused look from the blonde.

"I hate to admit it, but I miss the old Pope," Kiara said, ignoring Kyla's comment. "At least I knew what to expect from him."

"Where have you both been?" Anna asked, coming from out of nowhere.

Kyla and Kiara glanced at each other in shock. "Uh — We're fine. We slept here," Kiara quickly told their mother, pointing at the restaurant.

"Well, we were up half the night, scared to death, lookin' for the both of you. Were you guys even gonna tell us?" Anna questioned.

"Well, I'm telling you right now," Kiara said, which made Kyla internally sigh since she knew the comment would only make their mom even angrier.

"All right, what the hell are you three up to?" Anna quizzed before her eyes landed on Kyla's forehead. "Why do you have a bandage on your forehead, Kyla?" she asked, making Kyla's eyes widened since she forgot it was there.

"I'm sorry, Miss Anna, we just gotta go," JJ told her since they were in a rush.

"We're sorry," Kyla quickly said, not wanting to upset her mother even further, even though she had just ignored her question.

"No. I'm sorry. Absolutely not. Look, have you heard what's going on?" Anna asked as the three teens made their way over to the car.

"Look, Mom, we'll explain later," Kiara told her as she open the car door.

"Have you seen the storm comin' in? Look, this is not safe for you guys to do!" Anna persisted before Kyla hastily hopped in the backseat of the car.

"I'm sorry, Mom. We have to go!" Kiara said loudly.

"These cops are armed. The both of you are gonna get yourselves shot," Anna told them, looking in the backseat at Kyla.

"We have to go!"

"I am not letting you do this!"

"Mom, John B needs me!" Kiara shouted, starting the car.

"You both need to stay right here," Anna told them.

"I understand. We'll be careful!" Kiara said before she fully shut the door.

"Kiara! Open this door!"

"I'm sorry! Sorry!" Kiara cried.

"Kiara. Drive," Kyla told her, not wanting to continue hearing her mother's shouts.

"Right now, Kiara! This is not safe! Stop!" their mom yelled before Kiara drove off, leaving their mother behind.

"Oh, man," Kyla breathed out, pinching the bridge of her nose as she closed her eyes. She didn't want to just drive away from her mom without telling her what they were doing, but they had to help John B.

"You okay?" JJ asked her after a moment, looking over his shoulder at her.

She opened her eyes, taking her hand away from her face. She cleared her throat and nodded, not giving him a worded answer.

Kiara then continued to drive to JJ's place so that he could get the keys to the Phantom. Kyla didn't want JJ to have to go into his house to possibly face his dad again, but if it was the only way to help John B then...

"Home sweet home," JJ said as Kiara pulled up to his house.

"Do you want us to come? 'Cause we'll come," Kiara told him and Kyla nodded from the backseat, not wanting to have him go through something alone.

JJ took his cap off, shaking his head. "No," he replied breathlessly. "This will only take a second." He then opened the car door and walked out towards the house, looking back at the car, which made Kiara give him an encouraging smile and nod. It then completely disappeared once JJ entered the house.

"I don't like that he's in there alone," Kyla said to her sister, staring at the house to look for any signs of struggling from the inside.

"Me, either. But you know JJ, he doesn't like to say when he needs help," Kiara said, sighing.

"Yeah..." Kyla trailed off, biting the inside of her cheek. She was sort of the same way since instead of having people try to help her, she always tried to help others. Even when they didn't deserve it.

The rest of the wait was silent between the two girls until JJ came out of the house, not looking harmed at all. "How'd it go?" Kiara asked once he hopped into the passenger's seat.

He held up the keys with a small smile on his face, making the two sister's grin before Kiara drove away.

・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・

JJ slid the metal door open, revealing the Phantom inside its holding compartment. "There she be," JJ said before he walked towards it. "Hey, girl. A 1983 Formula 402 SR1. The Phantom."

"How do you remember that?" Kyla asked, but JJ just clicked his tongue in response.

"The first boat to make the run to Bermuda in under 16 hours, girls. Forty years old! Forty. And still the fastest thing that Kildare's ever seen," he told them in awe.

Kiara shrugged and said, "It's kind of a junker." Kyla nudged her with wide eyes, making Kiara give her a look.

"Really? She's right there, Kie. She can hear you," JJ whispered, making Kiara give him the same look she was giving her sister. Kyla just let out a breathless chuckle, crossing her arms at the sight of the boat. "Let's just put it this way. You would not be smokin' weed right now if she never existed, okay?"

"Okay, actually, maybe it is a junker," Kyla agreed with her sister after hearing that. JJ gave her a look before he bent down towards the boat.

"I just hope it runs," Kiara commented.

"Oh, no, she'll run, all right. She's faster than any of the cutters the boys in blue got."

The three of them then heard a motorcycle screech up, making the two sister's walk over to greet Pope. "Pope. Finally," Kiara said with a smile.

"Yeah, we thought you weren't gonna make it in—"

"Hey, there. What's goin' on?" Rafe, who had walked in, cut Kyla off. Kyla's mouth dropped, letting out a small gasp at the sight of the boy. "JJ? How you guys doin'?"

Kiara began to back up, taking her sister's hand since she was just frozen, staring at Rafe with a shocked look.

"Whoo-whoo," someone whistled behind them, making Kyla snap out of her trance to see Barry and Tara strode into the place. Kyla swallowed hard as Tara gave her an vengeful smirk. She had left the blonde unconscious in a forest of trees, so she was obviously very angry.

"Well, well..." Barry drawled as he and Tara walked up to them, before he pointed a gun at JJ. Kyla gasped, bringing a loose hand up to her mouth. "See, don't think I forgot about me and you on the side of the road."

"Don't do this," Kyla breathlessly forced out, her voice shaking out of fear.

"Shut the fuck up, bitch!" Tara spat at her, making Kyla flinch and move towards her sister slightly.

"I'm here because I want my motherfuckin' money!" Barry continued before her took a step forward towards JJ, grabbing his arm and pushing him down.

"JJ! JJ!" Kiara yelled before Rafe picked her up, pulling her away from the blonde. "Rafe!"

"JJ!" Kyla also shouted, going to help JJ before Tara yanked her arm back, making Kyla fall backwards onto the floor.

"That's what I'm here for!" Barry said before he slammed JJ's head down on the floor.

Kyla groaned in pain, coughing a little since she got her breath knocked out of her. "Is it just me, or are you also getting deja vu?" Tara asked devilishly as she looked over Kyla's body.

"Tara!" Rafe warned and Tara forced herself to step back from Kyla, making the girl internally sigh in relief. "It's not you we want, Kie. Where's John B?" Rafe asked.

"I don't know!" Kiara screamed before she slapped Rafe in the face. Kyla started to slowly get up, not wanting to seem like she was threat at all.

"Stay down, boy," Barry said as he lightly kicked JJ. "Phew!"

"I really wish you didn't do that," Rafe said crazily to Kyla's sister, making her look over at them with wide eyes.

She couldn't let Rafe hurt her sister.

"I know what you did," Kiara said shakily.

"What? What did I do?" Rafe questioned in her face.

"You murdered Peterkin!" Kiara said loudly and Kyla watched them on her knees, waiting for something to happen. She heard Barry beating up JJ a few feet away, but she couldn't bear to look over since she knew she couldn't help.

Rafe then grabbed Kiara's throat, making her yelp. "No!" Kyla yelled, hopping up to her feet. Tara was right behind her, though, waiting for a reason to tackle her.

"Don't you ever say those fucking words again," Rafe told Kiara just before Tara grabbed Kyla's shoulders and spun her around.

"Where do you think you're going?" Tara asked, gripping her shoulders tightly as she stared her down. They were pretty much the same height, but the blonde was definitely more intimidating than Kyla.

"Get away from me!" Kyla shrieked, shoving Tara away from her as she tried to get to her sister to help.

"You're not the one that can tell me what to do in this situation, Kyla!" Tara shouted as he grabbed the girl's wrist aggressively to stop her.

But, Kyla quickly turned around and brought her fist up, punching Tara in the face. The blonde let go of Kyla's wrist, stumbling backwards as she quickly held a hand up to her nose with a shocked look on her face.

Kyla stared at Tara, surprised that she actually did that. The blonde then brought her hand down from her nose, blood dripping from it again. "Wow," Tara laughed, "you're on the run for one day and you've already picked up some street skills. Let's go, then."

"I'm not fighting you," Kyla said slowly before she turned around to help her sister, but it seemed like Pope already beat her to it.

The Heyward boy hit Rafe in the back with a lead pipe, making Rafe let go of Kiara's throat. "Don't touch her!" Pope yelled before he hit Rafe again. The two boys then began to fight, making Kyla get distracted long enough for Tara to run up and push her.

She flew forward, but quickly caught herself before she completely fell. "You left me on the ground to die!" Tara bellowed as Kyla turned around to face her, an angered look on her face.

"You had a pulse when we left!" Kyla argued. "And you tried to kill me! I had every right to leave you!"

Tara yelled out angrily, running towards the Carrera girl. Kyla's eyes widened as Tara's fist came forward. She quickly dodged it, the adrenaline making her reflexes faster. But, she wasn't able to dodge Tara's knee to her stomach.

She doubled her, coughing in pain. Tara let out a laugh, which let Kyla have a millisecond to recover. She quickly dove towards Tara's legs, sending her to the ground with Kyla on top of her. She then looked over at the ground on the right and saw the gun Barry had before; she grabbed it, pointing it at the blonde as she stood up.

Tara quickly brought her hands up in front of her, her eyes wide at the gun Kyla was pointing at her face. Kyla would have never thought she would be holding a gun before, especially pointing it at her once best friend.

As Kyla held a gun to the blonde, Pope was busy beating the absolute shit out of Rafe. Kiara and JJ were too focused on Pope to notice Kyla with the gun in her hand.

"Do you know how much you've hurt me?" Kyla asked, feeling tears well up in her eyes as she looked down at the girl, her hand shaking.

"Enough to make you point a gun at me," Tara answered jokingly even though her tone was fearful. "But — but you don't have to. I'll leave right now and you ca—"

"Shut the fuck up, Tara!" Kyla said loudly, gripping the gun tighter which made Tara flinch. "No, y-you — you don't get to talk your way out of this one. You've ruined my life."

"Oh, because I f-fucked your boyfriend?" Tara asked. "Grow up, Kyla."

"You're in no position to say that right now. Last time I checked, I'm the one holding the gun," Kyla said.

"I know you're not gonna shoot me. You can't even hurt a fly," Tara said, a smirk growing on her face.

"Try me," Kyla said, tilting her head as she turned the gun to aim at Tara's head. She saw the girl's eyes widen before she looked past her, at Pope choking out Rafe.

"Rafe!" she cried out. "Stop, you're gonna kill him!" Tara shrieked, making Kyla kick her leg, which made the blonde groan in pain.

"Shut up!" Kyla yelled. "Now you know how it feels to see a friend being beat up nearly to death. Or should I say, boyfriend?"

Tara gave her a genuinely scared look, not ever seeing Kyla act like this. "Ky! Kyla, what are you doing?" JJ quickly asked, making his way over to the girl. "Kyla, Kyla, Kyla, give me the gun," he quickly said, placing a hand on her arm.

"She tried to kill me, JJ," Kyla argued without taking her eyes off the blonde on the floor.

"That doesn't mean you should kill her, Ky. Okay? You can't go to jail," JJ told her. "I won't let you."

"Kyla," she heard Kiara whisper shakily.

Kyla let out a sigh after a moment before she handed JJ the gun, making Tara outwardly sigh in relief. "Okay, we gotta go. We gotta go," Kiara quickly said and Kyla sent Tara one last look before JJ grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the exit.

"Pope!" Kiara yelled out once she saw Pope was looking down at the bloodied Rafe, making the Heyward boy walk away from him.

Kyla has officially broke.

Do what you will with that...
