After Renfield took Pope's key, the Pogues had passed out shortly after. It seemed like they were just all tired of the bullshit.

But as soon as they all woke up, they began talking about the night's events. And then...Sarah had walked into John B's place, much to his surprise. "Well, hello," JJ greeted.

"What's up?" Kiara said groggily. She wasn't a morning person like her sister.

"Sarah!" Kyla exclaimed as she got up, immediately engulfing the girl in a hug since she hadn't seen her since her father's death. Kyla wanted to comfort her friend, but didn't know how.

"Hey," Sarah replied softly once Kyla had let go of her, forcing a small smile onto her face.

"Shouldn't you be on Figure Eight with your, uh, little group of polo players?" John B asked, making Sarah grin sarcastically at him. "Or did you break up with Topper?" John B added with an apprehensive smile.

"John B," Kyla said in disbelief, giving him a wide-eyed look.

"We're just friends," Sarah assured the boy, giving him a look.

"Oh, he's just a friend. You have a lot of friends, Sarah Cameron," John B commented and Kyla rolled her eyes, rubbing her face as she leaned against the house.

"Yeah, and it seems like you've got some of your own, too," Sarah bit back, having enough of his snark.

"All right, what are you doing here? What do you want?" John B asked, pushing up from his chair.

The blonde sighed. "I'm here for Pope," she said, causing all of them to furrow their brows. She then turned to the boy. "I think I found the Island Room," she told them, making them all immediately get up in shock.

・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・

"Guys, listen to this," Pope said as they drove to Sarah's house, which was where she supposedly found the Island Room. "The diary says the cross holds the most holy relic in all of Christendom, the Garment of the Savior," he said, pointing to the photocopy of the diary.

"So wait, he's saying there's a holy garment inside the cross?" Kiara questioned, glancing at Kyla with wide-eyes.

"Yeah. It says the garment is capable of healing the sick from any malady," he told them.

"How is that even possible?" Kyla asked, but Pope just shrugged and shook his head.

"Mmm, yeah. 'If only I nah touch His garment, I shall be made well'," JJ said, causing all of them to give him an odd look. "What? I went to Sunday school."

"Sure," the sisters said at the same time, causing JJ to roll his eyes.

"Well, that explains why Limbrey would want the cross so bad. She thinks it can heal her," Pope explained and Kyla nodded, understanding what he was saying. She just wasn't sure how a garment like that actually existed.

"What else does it say?" Kiara asked.

"'Many feel that we have sinned to steal such a sacred thing, and God will strike His vengeance on us'," Pope read aloud.

"Thing is, God did have His vengeance," Kiara pointed out darkly.

"He sent a hurricane to sink the ship. Only Denmark survived," Pope realized and they all went silent, taking in the new information.

After a few more minutes of driving, they then pulled up to the Cameron household. "Are you sure Rafe and Tara aren't here?" Kyla questioned. She knew that they had gotten released from jail after Ward 'confessed', and she wanted to make sure never to see them again.

Sarah nodded. "I'm sure. Let's go." They than all walked into the house with Sarah leading the way.

"Whoo!" JJ exclaimed, taking in all of the expensive things that he wasn't used to.

"This place still freaks me out," John B commented.

"Yeah, same," JJ agreed before Sarah opened the door to the Island Room.

"Pope, look," she said.

Once Kyla stepped into the room, she immediately noticed all of the intricate paintings on the wall that weren't there before. She had gone into the room a few times, and she never remembered it being there.

"Whoa! You've got to be kidding me," Pope said in shock as he looked around in awe.

"Yeah. I know, right? It's the Island Room," she said with a smile.

"Incredible," John B muttered under his breath.

"It's been here this whole time," Sarah pointed out with a small chuckle.

"No freaking way."

"This definitely means something," JJ said as they all made noises of shock and surprise.

"I can't believe we didn't find this sooner with the amount of times we've played hide and seek here," Kyla said to Sarah, and the blonde nodded in agreement.

"Yo, this is a map of the whole island," John B realized.

"Yeah, John B, I think you're right because this is Rixon's right here," JJ said, pointing to the part of the wall. "And then, there's the lighthouse," he said as he pointed out the window.

"Guys, look, Parcel 9 and the well," Kiara spoke up, her hand on the well on the wall. Kyla's eyes widened as she continued looking around the room, noticing different, familiar landmarks.

"So, if that's Parcel 9, and then if that's Rixon's, then that's gotta be the surf break at Mase," John B said, pointing to the part of the wall with some houses and boats on it.

"Right. And look." JJ spread open the picture of the diary. "Pope, come here. This is Denmark's handwriting for sure," he pointed out, putting the picture next to the painting on the wall for reference.

Kyla walked over and looked over JJ's shoulder, noticing that they looked the exact same. "Whoa," she breathed out.

"The drawings, they match up," Pope said aloud.

"Holy shit," John B whispered.

"Denmark, you genius!" Pope exclaimed happily. "These are all his drawings. He painted this entire room."

"Yeah, question is why. What's he trying to tell us?" Kiara asked as she ran a hand over the wall.

"It's gotta have something to do with the key, right? Right?" JJ guessed.

"Yeah, but what?" Kyla said, looking over at JJ with furrowed brows. He shook his head, not knowing the answer either.

"How did you know to uncover this?" John B then asked Sarah.

"I didn't. It was like this when I got home," she told him.

"What?" JJ said in confusion l.

"Okay, then who did it?" Kiara questioned.

"I don't know," Sarah answered truthfully.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Rafe did it in a fit of rag—"

"The freaks," someone cut Kyla off, making them all gasp in fright. They turned around before they saw that it was only Wheezie.

"Wheeze!" Sarah exclaimed.

"Wait, what freaks are we talking about, Wheeze?" JJ asked her.

"Uh...that sick lady and her attack dog. They — they showed up last night, and they wanted to talk to Rafe and Tara," Wheezie told them.

"Shit," Kyla muttered, running a hand through her curly hand in frustration.

"Wait. Pale blonde lady?" JJ asked and Wheezie nodded.

"She have crutches?" Kiara then asked.

"Uh-huh," Wheezie confirmed.

"It's gotta be Limbrey," Pope said and Kyla nodded, biting the inside of her cheek worriedly. If Limbrey had told Rafe and Tara what they had did...it gave Tara even more of an excuse to want to kill her.

"Wh — wh — what happened?" John B stuttered quickly, wanting to know the whole story.

"Well, first, they searched the whole house looking for something, and then Rafe told me to go upstairs. But I didn't wanna miss out, so I listened through the grate," she began before she told them how Rafe showed them the hole he punched in the wall, which was how they started ripping the whole wall paper off in the first place. Kyla listened with her mouth slightly parted in shock. "And then they were talking about getting across the sand flamingo."

"Sand flamingo?" Kyla repeated in confusion.

"That's code. That's code for something," JJ immediately said, and both Sarah and Kyla gave him an odd look.

"The cross. The Cross of Santo Domingo?" Pope brought up, talking a little slower for Wheezie to understand.

"Yeah, that's it. Oh, and they were talking about, like, angels. A lot of angel talk. I don't know," Wheezie told them.

"Angels?" John B said quietly.

"Guys. Denmark's famous last words. He buried the real treasure at the door of the angel," Pope said and Kyla's eyes widened. "They're looking for an angel. We have to find the angel in the room."

"Start looking, start looking," JJ immediately said and Kyla went over to a wall, trying to look for some sort of angel.

"Spread out," Kiara instructed.

"There's a church over here," Sarah pointed, going over to it.

"Yeah, check the church," John B told her as he looked at a different wall.

They then all began shouting different things at different times, trying to find the angel. And then Wheezie was shouting stuff out in confusion, but no one was paying attention to her since they were all too busy searching crazily.

"Hey, yo, hey!" JJ then yelled out, making everyone quiet down. "Hey, guys, I think I found something. Come here. This humongous tree is still on Goat Island," JJ said as he pointed to the tree just as Kyla walked over to him. "You know what it's called?"

"Angel Oak," Kyla and Pope said at the same time, looking at each other with wide-eyes.

"Hey, look right there. There's the keyhole," JJ pointed out.

"Wait..." John B trailed off in shock.

"That means that the cross is buried at the foot of the angel. He didn't mean an actual angel, he meant the Angel Oak," Kyla realized as she looked at JJ. They were so close together that she could see him glance down at her lips, which made her look back at the painting on the wall.

"Wow, that must be where he put it," Pope breathed out. "That must be where they are right now! We have to go!" Pope then started to shout, causing all of them to get pumped up.

"I think I'm Sherlock Holmes, all right? You're welcome, by the way!" JJ said as they all hurried out of the room.

"Yeah. Hurry up, Sherlock," John B replied.

"You must be getting smarter from being around me again," Kyla teased since she was feeling a spark of confidence surge within her.

"Maybe I am," JJ responded with a wink, causing her stomach to do backflips. It seemed like he had forgotten his confession to her and she honestly hoped that it was because he was too drunk to remember it, but in actuality, JJ hoped that she was the one who had forgotten about it.
