This was my first trip in a car. They opened the top of the basket so that I could see.

I was between the two younger humans. The other was in the front. They both put their hands in the basket to reassure me every time the car jerked. (Bad roads)

After spending an hour (human years) in a car. We stopped. I was almost asleep but remained alert.

When they took me into the house, the first thing I noticed was the two old humans. They were the oldest I had seen so far.

They were sitting together and talking when we came in. I will never forget how their face lit up immediately when they saw me.

I was allowed to run around their feet and lick them. They picked me up and played with me. I could feel their excitement. But I got tired quickly.

I could feel them watching me as I walked away and settled down under a stool. My eyes closed watching that family laugh and talk. Maybe they aren't so bad?
