Oreo Brownies

Chewy Fudgy Oreo Brownies with a layer of Oreos in between! They're also topped with a creamy and chocolatey frosting with crushed Oreos taking regular brownies to a whole new level!

~Ingredients:

-Brownie Mix:

1 Cup Granulated Sugar.

1/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, sifted.

1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour.

1/4 Teaspoon Salt.

1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder.

1/2 Cup Butter, melted then cooled.

2 Eggs, room temperature.

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract. 

20 Oreos, divided.

-Frosting:

1 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips. 

4 Ounces Cream Cheese

1 Cup Powdered Sugar.

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract.

~Directions:

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 8 inch square pan with foil. Coat the foil with nonstick spray and set aside.

Making the Brownies: 

Step 2Sift together all dry ingredients.

Step 3Melt butter and set aside to cool slightly. 

Step 4In a medium bowl, beat two eggs with the vanilla. 

Step 5Add in and gently stir the dry ingredients. 

Step 6Pour the melted butter into the brownie mixture and mix until just incorporated. 

Step 7Pour the 2/3 of the batter in a prepared 8-inch square pan. 

Step 8Place 12 - 15 Oreos on top and pour the remaining batter over it. Bake for 20-22 minutes at 350 degrees.

Step 9Once the brownies are cool, melt the chocolate chips and cream cheese in a small bowl until combined well. 

Step 10Add powdered sugar and vanilla and stir together.

Step 11Pour the frosting over the brownies and top with remaining Oreos that are crushed.

~Recipe Notes:

1) With there being so many different types of oreos, you can change things up by using different types of oreos. (Golden Oreo, Red Velvet Oreo, Birthday Cake Oreo, Double Stuffed Oreo, Cookie Dough Oreo, Peanut Butter Oreo, Oreo Thins etc...) there so many different flavor options here!
