Halloween Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies

This Halloween, have fun making our favorite Cream Cheese Brownies for a fun and spooky treat that everyone loves. This grown up dessert is a perfect treat everyone will love on the Halloween party buffet table this year!

~Ingredients:

-Brownie Mix:*

1 Cup Granulated Sugar.

1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour.

1/2 Cup Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder.

1/2 Teaspoon Salt.

1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder.

2 Eggs.

1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil.

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract.

-Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature.

1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar.

1 Egg.

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract.

Orange Food Coloring.**

~Directions:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Line a 8 inch by 8 inch pan with parchment paper or aluminium foil and grease lightly. Leave enough aluminum foil overhanging on the sides to lift the brownies out of the pan. Set aside.

~Making the Brownies:

Step 2In a medium bowl, add the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

Step 3In a separate small bowl, add the eggs, oil, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.

Step 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula until just combined.

Step 5Reserve 1/4 cup of the batter for the swirls then pour the remaining batter into the prepared baking dish.

~Making the Cream Cheese Layer:

Step 6:  In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and the vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Step 7: Add in the orange food coloring and stir to combine.

Step 8Gently spread the cream cheese layer on top of the brownie batter.

Step 9Drop tablespoons of the remaining brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a knife or a skewer.

Step 10Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until set. Remove and let it cool completely before serving.

Step 11: Eat and Enjoy!

~Recipe Notes:

*You can use a box mix brownies or make it from scratch either using this recipe or your own recipe.

**You can use as little or as much orange food coloring you want. It depends on your taste and what kind of food coloring you are using (gel, powder, liquid etc...). If you don't have orange food coloring on hand, you can combine red and yellow food coloring to make orange food coloring.
