" it's awful, wiping away blood from our faces "

two months later

"I think we can both agree that your fat-ass doesn't deserve to be riding shot-gun." Sunny brushed her dark brown curls back with her fingers, re-tying the pink bandana around her head sourly. Once she was done fixing her hair, she reached into the glove-box and fished out a few napkins. Then, with a foul expression she began wiping at the thick red blood on her cheek, sighing in the process.
"Shut up!" Jo spat back, leaning against the car exterior. "You knew how that was going to go down the second you ordered a five pack. It was you or it was me- and you're just funky that it wasn't you. Someone had to get the remaining donut."
Jolie slid into the passenger side of the sports car, taking another napkin from the glovebox and wiping at the speckled blood on her body.
"You make me sick..." Sunny growled, her mad expression changing to a devious smile. She leant over, shutting the car door and starting the car.
"Ya know what. Apart from Shifters being eternal dicks, they have so much potential." Jo told her sister, placing her feet on the dashboard.
"What?" Sunny asked, pulling out of the gas station.
"I mean yeah, it's awful, wiping away blood from our faces when we've just killed a shapeshifter who was killing humans. We shouldn't have to do that. Why can't they just be nice...?" Jolie stared at her sister, analysing her sister's determined facial expression as she drove down the highway road.
"You should've seen the dude in the station. 'Uh, miss! you got something on your face!" Sunny laughed, quickly glancing over at her sister. "What's your point, Jo?"
"My point is, if I were a shifter, I wouldn't waste my life killing humans. I'd transform into Beyoncé. I'd be J-Lo for a day. What would you do?"
Sunny smiled to herself.
"Probably Taylor Swift. Not gonna lie."
"That girl? The one with that annoying song on the radio? I stay out too late...duh duh duh. Got no brains."
Sunny gasped, moving her hand to hit her sister on the shoulder.
"It's actually; got nothing in my brains!" Sunny corrected, remembering the lyrics effortlessly.
"That's what people say!" The two of them sang together.
Jo smiled to herself, listening to her sister sing. When Sunny was done, she reached down, pulling out an old newspaper from underneath the car seat.
"You wanna check out a potential hunt? Seems simple enough?"
Sunny nodded. "Once you give me my donut back."
"Yeah. I'm setting the GPS to the location."

With the radio blaring loud, the sisters made their way to the chosen destination, readying themselves for a simple hunt- only it would be anything but.
