Several weeks have passed since the incident. We gave Bard a real funeral and buried him and his family. At least he was happy now.

Everything later started to return to normal. My mother and I returned home. I was glad to see again the place where I grew up and the friends I missed.

It seemed that now we could finally enjoy a real, peaceful life.

We wanted to finally forget about all these dangerous events, so we decided that we would also need a vacation. We were supposed to go with my mum, Malia, Scott and of course Thomas.

However, we lacked one person to be fully happy. Mitch.

We couldn't visit him in prison. They forbade us to do so. Even his own brother.

We talked to Derek and tried to figure out a way to get him out of there, but he only reassured us that everything would be fine.

He was hiding something, but we didn't know what, unfortunately.

Thomas came to see me today. Today we were supposed to go on our dream vacation.

Brunet sat in the living room in front of the TV and stared at the it listening to the news.

I walked over to him, sat down next to him, and cuddled up to him. Brunet kissed my forehead and sighed.

I loved him very much and I was glad we came out alive. However, not all of them succeeded.

Some good people died, including Bard, Jasper, Monty, Danny, and a few others whose names I don't remember. We missed them. They deserved a better fate.

And, Mitch was in jail, and we couldn't do much.

We also began to wonder if we might attack a prison or the car in which they would transport him, but Derek advised us not to. He said it was too risky, but it was about Mitch, Thomas's brother, and our friend.

"Do you think everything will work out? " I looked at my boyfriend.

"I hope so. " Tom looked at me, smiled slightly and placed a light kiss on my lips.

"Hey, love birds! " Malia called.

I got up and walked over to her with a smile to say hello. Tom did the same with Scott and my friend.

"Ready? " Scott asked with a smile.

"Yes. " Rapp hugged me to him.

Malia told me that she and Scott get even closer. I was happy for her. She deserved it, and she and Scott made a great couple.

I was about to turn off the TV when suddenly something caught my attention.

"Did you hear that? " I looked at Rapp.

Brunet came up to me and told me to turn up.

"Yesterday evening, several dangerous criminals escaped from the prison. It's not known how it happened, perhaps due to the guards' oversight, but from what we found out there could be something much thicker... " The reporter said, and then he began to mention prisoners who escaped. I didn't know anyone there except one person. One, only person. "Mitch Rapp...." He said, and we exchanged glances with Thomas.

Suddenly we heard the doorbell. We looked at each other and after a while I ran to the door to open it.

A man dressed in black stood in the doorway, and he was wearing sunglasses that I missed so much.

"Tell me, love..." He began, then slowly took off his glasses and looked into my eyes. "You thought you could go on vacation without me? "

I grinned broadly and, without waiting a moment longer, threw myself on Mitch's neck. Rapp just laughed and returned my gesture.

"Did I keep my promise? " He asked in a whisper.

"You did. " I replied and cuddled up to him.

"Who would've expected. " Tom said as he approached us.

I glanced at him and then back to Mitch.

Both brothers smiled at each other and Tom held out a hand to his brother, which Mitch shook after a moment.

"Good to see you again, brother. " Younger Rapp said.

"You too. " Older brother replied. "Brother..." Added with a smile.

I only waited for one moment. I thought that I wouldn't see it, but fortunately I was wrong.

I waited for the moment when the brothers would finally hug again, and that's when it happened.

"I love you, little brother..." Mitch whispered.

"I love you too. " Thomas replied.

Seeing them together, I couldn't help but smile, and neither did the others gathered here.

"So? " Mitch broke the silence again.

He looked at each of us.

"We are going on vacation? " Rapp asked and showed tickets for each of the six of us.

"Hell, yeah." I replied with a smile and after a few moments we were on our way.

At the moment, I was one of the happiest people in the world. I had the closest people to me and I was missing nothing else.

We all deserved a rest.
