It was another wonderful week. Work was as hectic as always. Doctors demanding files, nurses yelling for emergencies, people in the lab making a big deal about something that had gone missing, but was only displaced, everyone rushing to the break room to get coffee so there's none left, patients yelling at nurses which made them (nurses) quit. Who am I kidding? Wonderful? I take it back. Someone give me a break.

I came back to the residence ny something am. The sun was showing a teensy weensy corner so maybe about 3 am or so.

I put my stuff down on the sofa then went out for a smoke.

"Hikaru? You're awake at this hour?" I asked as I closed the door behind me.

"I got home early and worked all night. I'm having my break. You just got home, right?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said as I took out my cigarette box, grabbed a stick and placed it on my mouth then pressed my lighter, but nothing came out.

"Hey, Hikaru, can I borrow a-"

Before I could continue, he lit his lighter up then connected his cigarette with mine. After mine lit up, I moved away.

"Thanks.." I said then looked away with a blush.

"Hehe. You're cute." He said then patted my head.

"S-Shut up!" I hissed.

"Haha! So how's work?" He asked.

"It's been as tiring as ever. I swear, I could go insane." I said as I shook my head.

"That's okay. I'll just call your hospital to pick you up if that happens." He said as he placed an arm around my shoulder with a smile.

"Yeah, thanks." I said with a glare then laughed.

"Maybe you should go to Louis' salon. When I go there, I always get calmed down. It's so relaxing that I forgot work for a moment haha." He advised.

"Alright. I'll find time for that." I said.

"You should, you're looking older." He teased.

"Says the one who's two years older than me!"

Weeks later, when I found the time to, I visited Louis' salon.

As nervous as I ever was, I entered the salon.

"Good morning. - oh, Chii-san, how are you?"

"Hi Louis. I'm doing not so great so Hikaru suggested that I visit your salon. He says that he's most relaxed here than anywhere else." I said.

"Well, that's Hikaru-nii-san for you. Hm-hm. So, have a seat. Let's start with a fresh and calming shampoo, shall we?" He said as he let me sit down on one of the chairs with a sink for the head.

(A/N: I don't know what you call them, okay?! 😂😂😂)

After a refreshing shampoo, we soon moved to the chair with a mirror in front.

(A/N: Again, I do not know what that is called. 😅😅)

"So would you like something new? Maybe a dye, short haircut, some highlights?" He asked as he dried my hair with a towel.

"Uhm, I think just a trim would do." I said.

"Alright. Your beautiful long hair suits you anyway and I must say that you've been paying good attention to it. Not much people can manage hair this long. I'm amazed." He said as he started blow drying my hair.

"Thanks. I've been doing what I can, hehe. But still, it always ends up all tangled up when I wake up. Do you have any tips for that?" I asked as I looked at him in the mirror.

"You could put treatment." He said.

"What kind of treatment?" I asked.

"It's like a vial of oil that you put in your every few months. I'll let you try it today and you can come back to continue the treatment if you'd like." He said.

"Okay." I replied.

"I'll be cutting your hair now." He said with a warm smile.

After trimming my hair, Louis proceeded to do the treatment.

"Here, smell this." He said as he handed me a vial.

"It smells like lavender perfume." I said as I handed it back to him.

"It's a special oil that we hair experts add fragrance to. This one is special. It's lavender-vanilla. Well, here it goes." He said as he poured the extract onto his hands then scrubbed my hair with it.

(A/N: I don't know how to explain, but I've experienced this 😂😂)

"There, all done." He said as he removed the cloth around me.

"Wow. Thank you, Louis. I do feel relaxed now and more calmer than when I was at work." I said as I lightly touched my hair.

He then gently grabbed my hands then kissed them.

"Chii-san's hair is beautiful.. Chii-san is also beautiful."

That single line sent butterflies all over my stomach. Going to the salon sure made my day.
