An Invitation
"Japan! Ciao." Italy said happily as he wrapped his arms around Japan. Japan stiffened a bit but hugged him back after a few seconds.
"Hallo." Germany nodded at Japan once Italy released him from the bear hug.
"Herro. You seem uh- happy." Japan said to Italy.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?" Italy said cheerfully.
"Romano?" Japan asked.
"Oh." Italy's smile vanished as he remembered why Japan was coming over. It was time to strategize. Germany shot Japan an annoyed look, obviously angry that he had even mentioned Romano's name.
"Anyway, why don't we talk about strategizing. We need to be prepared. If he's going to attack we need to know when and how." Germany said, ushering everyone to the couch. They sat down and Italy immediately moved closer to Germany on the couch. Germany awkwardly put his arm around the smaller boy. He wanted to comfort him, but he also didn't want Italy or Japan to think Germany had like a crush on him or whatever.
"So, are we going to attack or just defend ourselves?" Japan asked.
"I think defense is a better strategy for us, considering every time we try to attack anything one of us gets caught." Germany explained as Italy wrapped his arm around Germany's waist. Germany stiffened a bit, kind of uncomfortable with Italy's display of affection in front of Japan.
"I don't want to hurt him. He's my fratello. I can't." Italy said sadly.
"We need to find out who he's allied with so we can get to them first." Japan suggested.
"That's a really smart idea. Italy? Do you think you know who he could possibly be working with right now?" Germany asked.
"He's always with that Spaniard. I swear they're in love or something they're always together." Italy admitted.
"Well I guess we're going to Spain."

"Romano, your brothers friend just called me. He wants to set up a meeting or something." Spain called out to Romano from the study. Romano was in the living room, reading the Spanish newspaper. He hadn't read Spanish in such a long time. Probably because he hadn't lived with Spain in years.
"Which friend? Was it that stupid potato bastard?" Romano asked, dropping the newspaper on the couch and heading towards the study.
"It was Germany." Spain responded as Romano appeared in the doorway. Spain had finally put some pants on but couldn't bother to put a shirt on. It annoyed Romano beyond belief, seeing what he couldn't have being flaunted right in front of his eyes.
"Earth to Romanoooooo." Spain teased, waving his hand in front of his face. Romano had zoned out on Spain's chest. whoops.
"Uh- erm- Well what does he want?" Romano asked, his face turning a deep shade of red. Spain couldn't help but smile. He knew Romano was staring at him. Maybe Spain was Romano's crush after all...
"He wants to meet me.. only me. In a cafe in Italy. Northern Italy." Spain explained.
"No he's going to hurt you! I swear to god if that potato bastard touches you I'm going to take that stick he loves so much and shove it up his ass!" Romano said. Spain stared at him with wide eyes. He was surprised Romano would even get that violent to protect him.
"Wow. Glad to know you care about me." Spain teased.
"Shut up." Romano said before storming out of the room. He was embarrassed. He didn't want Spain to know that he cared. Spain followed him quickly before Romano shut the door to the room he used to live in when he was a kid.
"So should I go or not?" Spain asked, sticking his foot in the doorway to prevent the door from closing.
"Whatever. I don't care." Romano said before shoving Spain out of the way and slamming the door. Spain's face dimmed in disappointment. Yesterday Romano had been so sweet and warm to him, why was he suddenly being so cold?
