A few days later...

Rin's P.O.V.

I was at my night job, taking to Sandy as I folded clothes and put them up. When I my phone started to ring. I put down a shirt I was folding and took my phone out of my back pocket.

'Yukio'

That's who was calling me. I gave him flip phone for his birthday, which has passed. All the flip phone can do is call. I gave it to him so he would be able to call me incase of an emergency. Or anyone else like Bon or Shima.

"Sandy, I need to take this." I said as I looked at her.

"Alright." She said before I went behind a different shelf and picked up the call. As soon as I picked up the call I heard sniffles.

"Yukio, what's wrong?" I asked with concern.

"I-I had a-a nightmare."

"Okay, do you want me to come home?"

"*hic*Y-yeah."

"Alright, do you want me to stay on the phone?"

"Y-yes."

"Just give me a couple minutes, okay?"

"O-okay." He said before I put my phone against my shoulder."

"Sandy?" I called her.

"Yeah?" She responded.

"Something happened and I need to go home. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, you need to go take care of something."

"Alright, thank you." I said before walking away. I walked out the back door before putting my phone against my ear again. "Yukio, I'm back buddy. I'm coming home now." I said as I started walking home.

"O-okay." He said. I continued to walk home until I was at the steps of our apartment complex.

"I'm almost there." I said as I walked up the steps. I hung up as I unlocked and opened the door. I saw Yukio peek out of the bedroom. His eyes were red and he had tears down his face. He was holding his flip phone. I closed the door as he came to me. I sat on my knees and held my arms out before he hugged me. I hugged him back and nuzzled my nose into his brown hair.

Shhh-shhh, it's okay now." I said as I rubbed his back. I picked him up before sitting on the couch, I left my shoes on but didn't care. I just let him nuzzle closer to me. I continued to calm him for awhile.

"Do you want some water?" I asked. He weakly nodded before I had him get off me and we went to the kitchen. He sat at the table as I fulled a glass with water. After I gave him the glass of water, I went to take off my shoes by the door and I took my jacket off as well. When he got done with his water, we went to bed. I laid down next to him and let him snuggle into my chest. I put a arm around him and used my other arm to hold up my head. I just continued to rub his back until he fell asleep.
