Chapter 2

Chris sighed for the nth time, rubbing his temples. He had just arrived home after a long, peaceful walk. All he wanted now was a quiet evening to relax. But his sister had other plans.

"Come on, it'll be fun!" she pleaded, her eyes wide with excitement. "You haven't met them in ages! It'll be a great chance to catch up." Hannah wanted him to join her at a club to reconnect with old friends.

He knew she was right. They were his old friends, and they'd shared countless memories together. But the thought of loud music, crowded dance floors, and forced small talk made him cringe.

With a heavy heart, he agreed to go. He hoped the evening wouldn't be too bad though.

The music blared, the lights pulsed, and the crowd roared. A booming voice echoed through the club, announcing the start of some dance battle. "Let's see who's got the moves to match the groove!"

Chris watched with growing interest as dancers, young and old, eager and confident, stepped onto the makeshift stage. He was particularly drawn to a young man with striking blue hair, who seemed more interested in scrolling through his phone than joining the stage. That was until the person next to him, who Chris assumed to be his friend, who resembled a fox, nudged him repeatedly, urging him to participate. With a reluctant sigh, the blue-haired man finally gave in. He sauntered onto the stage, his movements casual, almost nonchalant. But as the music began, a transformation took place.

Chris was sipping his drink, when the music pulsed through the club. As the first few beats of the song played, a jolt of recognition shot through him. That was his song "wow" by 3racha. His heart pounded in his chest as he listened intently. The song, his song, was being played in this very club.
(Just assume that the "wow by 3racha" here is actually the danceracha "wow"...idk if I make sense).

The Blue head's body began to move, fluid and effortless. His moves were sharp and precise, yet graceful. Even though he had no clue of the song being played. It was totally freestyle. The crowd watched, mesmerized. He jumped, he slid, he popped, his body a blur of motion.

When the music finally stopped, the crowd was silent, then erupted in a round of applause. The blue-haired dancer stood panting. He had won, not just the battle, but the hearts of everyone in the club. Chris, too, was truly impressed. He had just witnessed something extraordinary.

It was when Hannah was saying embarassing shit about Chris to his friends when a commotion caught everyone's eye. A group of older men, their faces flushed with drink and malice, were cornering a younger man, which Chris recognised as the blue haired guy's "fox friend". The said friend seemed visibly uncomfortable as homophobic insults were being thrown at him. His eyes were darting nervously.

Just then a figure emerged from the shadows. It was the same guy who had earlier "wow"ed the crowd with his dance moves. Without hesitation, he stepped between the younger man and the older group. His voice was calm but carried a certain authority, "Leave him alone." The older men, momentarily taken aback, exchanged uneasy glances. But the blue-haired man's unwavering gaze and the growing crowd around them forced them to retreat, muttering insults under their breath.

As the altercation ended, the blue-haired man turned to leave, his gaze briefly meeting Chris'. In that fleeting moment, Chris felt a strange connection, a spark of something more. The blue-haired man's eyes held a quiet intensity, a depth that intrigued Chris.

In the heart of the chaotic club, amidst the flashing lights, pounding music, and conversations at his own table, Chris had experienced something new. And it had ignited a fire within him.
