Chapter 1

It has been several nearly 15 years since the Jackson family disappeared from the face of the Earth. 15 years since Annabeth Chase has been happy. And 5 years since she was married, against her will, to a son of Zeus named Hunter.

"Hello mother," Annabeth spat. "Here to tell me to get over the past? Well too bad for you."

"Annabeth I did this for your own good," Athena said in all her wisdom. "You will realize that soon."

"Doubt it," Annabeth says. "If you see my husband, tell him I want him back here or I'm going to castrate him permanently. I might just do that anyway."

"Annabeth," Athena tried to say.

"Get out," Annabeth said. "Just get out and stay away unless necessary."

A tear slid down Athena's face.

"What have I done?" she asked herself.

Back in Annabeth's room, or more like her library, she found three new books on her table. Her curiosity taking the better of her, she finds a note on top of the books. A note that was written in Percy Jackson's handwriting.

Annabeth began reading it.

'Annabeth my love.' the goddess of architecture and knowledge blushed as she began to read. 'It was nigh 16 years ago that I was banished from the Greco-Roman Pantheon.' Annabeth's eyes raged with hatred towards the Olympians and her friends whom she hasn't spoken to since that night, aside from Grover, Thalia, Piper, and Nico of course. 'I truly wish we could've had a single night together all those years ago. But we cannot change the past.' Annabeth's rage still simmered beneath the surface but she was now fantasizing about a night with Percy before she shook her head and continued reading. 'What I am about to tell you, Wise Girl is something that you cannot ever tell anyone not even Nico or Thalia or Grover. By reading this, you have sworn on the River Styx to keep this a secret for the rest of eternity. ' Annabeth's eyes widened as thunder rumbled in the distance. 'This is not my first life. In my past life, I was a pirate known as Edward Kenway.' Annabeth then began to read about the Assassins and the Templars, what they were fighting for, and lastly the Pieces of Eden. 'That is all that you need to know, these are the books that are about the history of the Assassins and the Templars. With love, Perseus Edward Jackson.' Annabeth's breath caught in her throat as she saw this line and the next. 'PS. Owen says 'Hi' and that your mother will need a new Priestess.'

Annabeth could hear her mother's scream as she finished reading the last sentence.

"Owen," Annabeth tried the name out loud and smiled. "I like that name. Owen Chase."

Annabeth then threw the letter into a fireplace that was near her and began reading the books that were sent with the letter from her beloved.

Later

A 16-year-old walked towards a cafe where a man who looked like a war veteran with pure white hair and an eyepatch was waiting for him while reading a newspaper. The teen had raven black hair that had natural blond streaks and thundercloud grey colored eyes that have flecks of sea green in them. He was wearing a grey jacket that was unzipped to reveal a shirt with a crest that no one but the father and son could identify, a pair of jeans and tennis shoes.

"Owen," the man said with a grandfatherly smile setting down the newspaper he was reading.

"Hey, Gramps," Owen replied. "How's my dad doing?"

"He is doing fine," 'Gramps' said. "Just training a few recruits. He does have a mission later tonight."

"Contract?" Owen asked.

Owen's dad would take contracts to make some extra cash. Some of that cash went to the Brotherhood or to Owen's college fund.

"More like a storehouse," Gramps replied. "The Hunters are transporting some valuables that should help the Brotherhood gain strength."

"Metal, wood, cloth, leather, among other things as well I'm guessing," Owen said as he thought about the resources this job could bring the Brotherhood. "When is he leaving?"

"When the sun sets, and the moon is rising," Gramps said.

Owen nodded and said, "Let's get home then, Odin. I want to see my dad before he leaves."

Odin smiled and the two vanished in a flash of rainbow energy.

Asgard, Brotherhood Temple (looks like Masyaf)

Percy Jackson finished training the newest recruits when Ethan Nakamura walked up to him.

"Owen is back," he said.

"Thanks, Ethan," Percy said as he walked away. "Tell Luke that I need to speak with him. It's about tonight."

Ethan nodded.

"Also, keep an eye on the Precursor Temples," Percy said as he walked away. "We cannot risk the Templars or any Demigods getting their hands on them."

"But how do you even know if they came to this world after the Assassin's world was destroyed?" Ethan asked.

"Call it a gut feeling," Percy called back as he left the temple.

When Percy arrived at his home on Asgard, he saw Owen doing push-ups in the living room.

"Hey kid how'd it go?" Percy asked.

"It went well father," Owen replied. "Athena was pretty pissed though at losing another Priestess."

"She keeps hiring Templars," Percy began.

"We keep taking them down," Owen finished with a smirk before he smiled. "I got a glimpse of mom. She seems unhappy."

"I figured," Percy said sadly. "She's going to be doing an opera next week. Odin knows this and he's trying to get a few tickets for us. But for now, we must focus on the Brotherhood. No matter how hard it is."

Owen nodded. He knew that his father didn't want to, but the Brotherhood came first in this time and age. But afterward, they can watch over the people they care about.

"How are Grandma and Grandpa?" Owen asked as he finished his push-ups.

"They're doing fine," Percy replied. "But Estelle is having nightmares from her past life as Jennifer Kenway."

Owen nodded. He understood that. He, his father, and Paul did. Connor Kenway, Owen's previous life, was a soldier and an assassin as well as the killer of Haytham Kenway, who was Paul's first life. Edward Kenway was a pirate who lost everyone he loved just as Percy did, so when he began to awaken Edward's memories, he had nightmares for weeks. Estelle Jackson, the second life of Jennifer Kenway, was kidnapped as a child and sold to Turkish slavers and became a concubine in the Ottoman empire, although, thanks to the memories, they knew that Jennifer was too old to be a concubine but it didn't stop the nightmares that Estelle had.

"I might go visit them for a few days then," Owen said. "It's some time since I last saw that side of the family."

"Keep them safe then," Percy said.

"You know I will," Owen said. "Are you leaving soon?"

"In a few hours," Percy replied. "I still need to plan it all out. I have somewhat of a plan, but I want to be prepared against the Hunters of Artemis and any other guards that may or may not be there."

"Need some help?" Owen asked, seemingly amused.

"Na I got it," Percy told his son.

"You sure?" Owen asked his father.

"I'm sure ya brat," Percy says. "Go get packed."

Owen nodded and headed to his room. A few minutes later, Owen walked down and said, "I'm ready dad."

Percy nodded and the two faded from view as if they were never there, to begin with.

Washington, Jackson Apartment

"Big bro!" a teen with soft brown hair and ocean blue eyes said hugging Percy tightly.

"It's good to see you again sis," Percy said hugging the teen back. "It's been too long, Estelle."

Estelle smiled and the brother-sister duo separated from their hug, the second youngest Jackson saw Owen and smiled wide.

"Owen!" Estelle hugged the boy tightly. "It's good to see you!"

"It's good to see you too Aunt 'Stelle," Owen replied hugging back.

"Why are you guys here?" the teen girl, Estelle, asked her brother and nephew. "I know for sure that you won't be here for long so tell me what's going on."

"Where's Paul and Mom?" Percy asked his sister. "I need to speak with them for a moment and then I need to get back to planning."

"So a mission," Estelle said before she crossed her arms and pouted a little. "I was wanting to have my big bro over so you could scare away the jocks when you take me to school."

Percy raised an eyebrow.

"Now why would I do that sis?" he asked not at all phased by her pouting.

"They uh, flirt with me every single day and even though I tell them to stop, they just keep doing it," Estelle said, rubbing her arm.

"Owen," Percy said after a moment of silence.

"Yes, father?" Owen asked immediately, knowing the tone of voice Percy was using.

"If anyone makes any unwelcome advances toward Estelle, you are to beat them into the ground," Percy told him, not taking his eyes off his younger sister.

"Yes father," Owen replied.

"Thank you, big bro!" Estelle said, giving Percy a tight hug.

"You welcome sis," Percy said as Estelle separated from the hug and asked, "Can I get you two something to drink?"

"Water," the father-son duo said.

Not a minute later, Estelle came back to her brother and nephew and gave them both a glass of water.

"To answer your question, mom and dad aren't here yet," Estelle said.

Percy glanced over to the window and activated his Eagle Vision, everything around him becoming sharper, the colors of the walls were brightened, he could feel the carpet from even under his shoes. The material of his clothing he could feel as well. All of his senses were magnified. He then walked to the window and upon looking out of it, he saw two teens looking right at him. Both of them were colored red. They were enemies.
