I was contemplating about kurumi joining the peerage and her nature along with what her intentions are. "It seems your thinking hard (y/n) something on your mind." Yuki said. "Yeah boss you've been like that since you got home last night." Ban said. "We're very concerned." Kaori said. "I thank you for being concerned of your king but this is a decision I should make regarding Kurumi tokisaki the self proclaimed spirit." I said. "You mean her." Yuki said. "So you've met her." I said. "I simply confronted her telling her that I would be watching her actions." Yuki said as I nodded.

"Also I know this is a little late to say boss this also came at the door when you came home." Ban said handing me an envelope and seeing the family brand regarding the invitation to the party. "I'll make my decision before the party starts whether or not to let tokisaki join the peerage." I said. "And we'll respect your decision." Yuki said. "Thank you honestly." I said. "And your goal is to make the best peerage." Sakura said. "Your not wrong." I chuckled getting up. "Since the gathering is not til later tonight I simply wish to go out and think about it myself." I said. "We'll respect that." Sakura said. I nodded got up and went upstairs to my room to change into some clothes to go out.

I walked out of the house walking down the street wondering what I should do. 'Though this engagement is tonight I know I have some fashionable attire since knowing mother and father gave me money to help with rent, clothing, and food.' I thought to myself as I made it to the fountain of kuoh.

I looked to see it was peaceful as I sat down on the bench as everyone was going on their day while I was thinking of this potential member being a part of my peerage. 'I have the pieces to make them a part of it but of what.' as I look at the pawn and bishop piece I had in my hand as I stuffed it in my pocket. I sighed and knowing those eyes of hers are pretty sharp for a spirit. "Ara~ quite seeing you here by yourself (y/n)-kun~." I look to see it was Kurumi in a gothic Lolita like dress. "It's interesting seeing you not in school uniform." I said getting up. "Well then why don't we go on a 'date'." Kurumi said. "We're not even a couple." I said looking at her. "Pay no mind why not have fun like normal people." She said taking me by the hand.

Third person pov

Kurumi took (y/n) to an arcade as the two played arcade games. They were both walking around not until Kurumi saw cat plushies in the claw machine. "Hmm you want it." (Y/n) looked at kurumi as she nodded. (Y/n) slotted a coin in and began to play to catch the cat plush. A good thirty minutes went by as this was (y/n)'s fifth attempt since the first four times were complete failures but he believed this was the chance as he played it making the claw drop on one of the plushies as he played it patiently seeing the plush drop in the winner box. He picked it up and handed it to kurumi. "T-thank you." Kurumi said. "No problem." He scratched the back of his head.

The two then walked to a nearby cafe as they sat down. "So tell me (y/n) why are you out by yourself you usually are with one of your peerage members." Kurumi said. "I was thinking about our talk from last night." (Y/n) said looking at kurumi. "Hmm the (y/n) thinking about putting a spirit in his peerage~." Kurumi said. "I have until tonight for my decision." (Y/n) said. "But think of this (y/n) I'm a spirit a dangerous one at that do you think you can handle that." Kurumi said. "Dangerous or not." (Y/n) said. "Oh~ your pretty serious about it." Kurumi said. "This is for my legacy and my goal to create the peerage in my family's history." (Y/n) said. "A man of dedication that what made me interested in you (y/n). Ever since I saw that stray encounter." Kurumi said. "Encounter you mean the one when I recruited the siblings." (Y/n) said. "Yes so what do you say." Kurumi said. (Y/n) looked at the pawn and bishop piece he had in his hand. 'This is your goal (y/n).' He thought to himself looking before kurumi confirming his own decision.

The two were walking from the cafe to the park where they met earlier. "Today was a fun today." Kurumi said hugging the cat plush. "Yeah it was." (Y/n) said checking his watch but feels the two were being watched. (Y/n) pushed kurumi out of the way as trail of bullets separated them as (y/n) looked who the figure was.

"I've found you nightmare." The silver haired girl as she looked to see that the spirit was associated with a human. "You human should get out of here this spirit is dangerous." The silver haired girl said looking at (y/n). "Ara origami shouldn't you be the one that should get out of here." Kurumi said. "I don't listen to your words spirit." The girl origami said. Origami took out her sword and dash with her aerial gear about to slash kurumi not until (y/n) shot a stray fireball interfering with the two. "I believe you shouldn't hurt my new soon to be piece. I'll say this why don't you scurry away before you get hurt." (Y/n) said blowing the smoke from his finger. "I guess your a spirit as well associating with the one of the most dangerous spirits." Origami said about to attack (y/n) with her sword only for it to be slapped away as origami got knee'd in the stomach by (y/n) with force making her cough. "Don't put yourself in a fight you can't win." (Y/n) said looking down at origami as he looked at kurumi. "Let's go and get this business over with I simply don't wish to hurt any humans." (Y/n) said leaving with Kurumi leaving origami behind.

I was walking kurumi to a safer spot to do this. "Who was that girl that attacked you." I asked her. "That girl was part of the AST as known as the Anti-spirit task force those who hunt spirits of threatening levels to protect humanity they must've tracked me down and know that they assume you as an associate self your caught in the cross fire as well." Kurumi said. "Doesn't matter spirit or devil now let's get to the main thing my brothers party is soon." I said holding up a pawn piece. "Quite assertive you are." Kurumi said. "I (Y/n) Phoenix hereby bring you into the world of devils to let you serve under me." I said watching the pawn piece go into kurumi's body the piece and her own current power is a scary mix if she gets promoted.

"We must head back I need to get ready for my brothers engagement party." I said. "Yes master~." Kurumi said in a teasing manner as I shook my head as we headed back to the house. We entered to see everyone is there. "Boss your back." Ban said. "Thank god your safe (y/n)." Kaori said. "She was worried of your safety." Yuki said as she saw kurumi. "A new member." Sakura said. "Yes the proclaimed spirit kurumi tokisaki is our new pawn." I said. "Welcome to the peerage." Sakura said. "Now everyone I suggest getting ready dressed up." I said heading up stairs.

Kaori pov

"What did (y/n) mean by that." I said looking at Sakura. "We're heading to (y/n)'s brothers engagement party he's even mad with what his brother did during the game as well." Yuki said. "But he's not really showing it." Ban said. "He's one to hide his anger." Sakura said. "Well let's go find you a dress kaori." Yuki said taking me up to her room.

"What is (y/n) like before he meet you guys." I said looking at yuki. "(Y/n) was the polar opposite of his brother calm, kind, considerate to others, he visited when he was younger and still learning to control his flame. I was his first piece to be recruited in his peerage his queen." Yuki said. "The bond between me and (y/n) ever since that first meet we've been so close." Yuki said pulling out a silver dress. "I think this would suit you." Yuki said holding the dress. "What about you yuki-San." I said. "I have a dress in mind." She said already changing into a light blue dress. I changed into the silver dress yuki-san let me borrow. "Looks good on you really suits you." Yuki said. I nodded and looked in the mirror. "Come the others are waiting downstairs." Yuki said as I nodded as I followed yuki down stairs and saw everyone formal attire. But my eyes were caught onto (y/n).
