Prologue
Cooler charged at his father, swinging angrily at his chest. The king looked at him in disapproval.
"It's not true! It's not true, it's not true!... I'll do better I promise! It's my force! It's tradition it's always been given to the first born son! I can do it!!"
Cooler yelled, the ten year old boy holding back tears as he began to lose his energy to keep protesting. Falling to the ground, tears began to fall.
"You're going to rule this planet on your own one day, a job more suited for you while your younger brother will take the force. It's nothing personal son, just business."
King Cold rolled his eyes and left his son, crying in the sand.
"I HATE YOU DAD, I HATE YOU!!"
A groan escaped King Cold's lips as he walked down the hall. He was worried for his son. He was nowhere near strong or mature enough to take over his Empire efficiently. He was about to go visit his wife until
"Darling I need to talk to"—
"We've just brought in a new soldier from planet Everlast, the one that was sold from her outcast family!"
King Cold sighed as he heard the report on his scouter. His plans would have to be momentarily paused as he went to go greet his new soldier. Perhaps this would ease his mind of Cooler doing something they would all regret, a babysitter, or in more respectful terms, a bodyguard for him. The larger man ventured outside where he saw a teenage girl, accompanied by a young soldier who was currently climbing the ranks with his obedience and success. If only he were stronger he'd be at the top of the Cold force.
"Ah, you must be Bronze Hukamaru, I trust your journey here was hospitable?"
King Cold asked.
"Oh yes! I'm quite happy to be here at your service, my lord! I'd like to get started in any position you have prepared for me as soon as possible!"
The girl smiled brightly revealing fangs, she bowed, her dark hair falling in front of her tanned features and her horns sticking out behind her head.
"How old are you little Princess?"
He asked suddenly with raised brow bones
"14."
She answered eagerly as she stood straight up once again and nodded to him.
"I see.... how strong would you say you are in combat dear?"
King Cold asked curiously. Before she could answer, the soldier interjected:
"She has a power level of 40,000, though I doubt she knows how to properly utilize that kind of power at such a young age."
He explained.
"I didn't ask you. So then, Bronze, I expect you're fairly confident in your combat ability then yes? I would like you to show me your ability against Ginyu here."
King Cold said gesturing to the pointy eared soldier who accompanied her.
"WHAT??!!"
Ginyu exclaimed with concern painted on his pink features.
"Well, since you have so much doubt in her abilities, it should be a breeze for you, no?"
King Cold asked almost smugly as he smirked down at the smaller man. Instant regret took over his body that he tried to hide.
"Ok, yeah, totally. Here, little girl; I'll even give you the first shot."
Ginyu bent down to the younger girl with his face turned, a smirk adorning his features.
"I don't think that's fair, I don't want to hurt you, Mr.Ginyu-San!"
Bronze cooed looking up at him sympathetically. Though he would soon learn it was fake.
"Well then, I'll hurt YOU!"
He suddenly started to charge at Bronze, but much to his surprise with each of his fast blows, he didn't make one hit. She blocked or dodged them all. Thoughts flooding his mind as he panicked to think of a strategy, suddenly he stopped, his fist caught by the smaller girl. Her expression was different, now dark and she was the smug one. He was flipped over, his arm broken and face into the dirt. Her innocent demeanor returned.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean to hurt you that bad! Come on can't you get up?"
She kicked him over so he was face up. Grunting in pain.
"Ah, Bronze that was wonderful! Come on in, the medical staff will deal with him, let me introduce you to my son! I'd like you to be his bodyguard!"
King Cold smiled as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her into the castle.
"Wow, this castle is so huge, and pretty!"
Bronze said in fake amazement. King Cold smirked.
"Well, what else would you expect from the royals of the most civilized planet in the universe?"
King Cold asked in a soft arrogant tone with a smirk.
"Of course nothing less sir! I've just never seen anything like this before!"
She corrected herself.
"Well if you do a good job more of those luxuries will be sure to come."
King Cold spoke, holding open a door for the young girl.
"Oh, absolutely! I'll do my best, thank you!"—
"Who are you?"
In the room the door led to was the younger boy, Cooler.
"Ah, Cooler, this is your new bodyguard, Bronze-Chan."
"Get lost. I don't need no bodyguard. Now leave, Cold."
Cooler called his father by name for the first time.
"... Well, I'll just leave you two to get acquainted..."
King Cold closed the door behind him, leaving the two alone.
"Now, I can get to my wife about that business."
He said to himself as he strolled his way back to his bedroom. The automatic door opening bringing Queen Winter's gaze to him.
"Ah yes dear? What did you want to talk about my love?"
The fair bluish Arcosian woman asked as she looked up at him lovingly with her bright red eyes and pink lips curving into a smile.
"I want to conceive another child with you, my Queen. I believe our son is more suited to stay here with you and rule over this planet, our second child can be the ruler of my Empire when I retire."
He said grandly as he sat down with her.
"I just hired Cooler, a bodyguard. Let's say we all have dinner together tonight and after a few drinks you and I can have a special romantic night together."
King Cold suggested as he rubbed her shoulders gently.
"Oh I'd absolutely love that darling! I'm so excited to raise another child!"
She eagerly agreed.
"Then that settles it. Tonight's the night."
He gently kissed her lips with his large hand cupping her cheek. She melted at the gesture.
"I love you dear!"~
"I love you too my Queen!"
Outside, the medical team of the Cold Force had surrounded Ginyu, he was put up on a stretcher as they carried him inside down the hall, into one of the medical rooms. One of the soldiers opened a healing pod. Ginyu grunted, grabbing his broken arm in pain as one the soldiers picked him up. He placed him in the pod carefully and closed it up, it filled with blue liquid as he started it up and put in the proper settings to the machine. Ginyu's mind was filled with shock as he drifted out of physical consciousness. He had been beaten by a mere child, a female one at that; a little girl. He remembered how he got stuck in this force. It was six years ago, when he was her age. He was born and raised on the planet now known as Planet Cooler no.98. Home of the Brench Seijins. He remembered the first time he used body change, and how he came to be here.
Ginyu was merely a ten year old boy. Lavender skin, and shoulder length, messy, dark magenta hair. Though his family was rather poor, he mostly wore rags to school and was bullied because of it. Ginyu had a crush at the time, she had white skin, long black hair, and bright pink eyes.
"Hey, Tamanegi, can I talk to you?"
Ginyu spoke up to his crush after school one day.
"Um, hey? What do you want?"
She asked with a slight sneer as she looked down at him.
"O-oh! Well I just... I-I wrote this for you, with your birthday coming up and all. Here."
The boy had jumped slightly, before awkwardly handing over a page of notebook paper to the girl. A light pink shining on his pale, smooth, lavender cheeks.
Ah, my dear Tamanegi,
Your fair skin glistens like the pale moon, your warm eyes like the sun, the shine in your raven hair like stars in the midnight sky. Your smile is bright enough to bring light to all of space, your form would compliment any cloth or movement, elegance in its truest form I see in you.
A smile tugged at Tamanegi's lips, a giggle escaping her lips, which soon evolved into howling laughter. She bent over and ripped the paper up in his face.
"You think some gay little poem is gonna swoon me for some pitiful, poor, slime ball like you?! How are you even gonna take me on nice dates without any cash pipsqueak! Besides, real men don't write, or dance for that matter. Just look at Donyenku-kun, he wants to overthrow the whole planet and already has millions saved, he's a genius! You won't make any money with all of that gay crap. Go ballet yourself off a bridge, there's a reason nobody likes you, girly."
She spat on Ginyu before leaving him be. Donyenku had seen the whole thing, he looked to his guards and snapped his fingers with a smirk. The two men took Ginyu outside. They hung him up on a pole by his wrists with wire, breaking his arms like his current one was. Ruined by a girl again. Even though his arms were breaking as he screamed, they continued to beat him. Hard punches into his gut, face, and twists and kicks to his legs and groin, by the end of it, both his arms and legs were grotesquely broken. He was a bloody pulp, the boy had ended up in the emergency room. That night, the doctor arrived with bad news after his parents had stepped in.
"I'm afraid the boy will never dance again. He broke both his legs and arms and will need to be in a wheelchair a long time, maybe even forever."
The doctor said flatly as he looked at his clipboard. Soon after he departed once again.
"Perhaps this is for the best son, after all, if you hadn't been doing all that artsy crap this wouldn't have happened. Where do you get off confessing to a girl like that anyhow? Girls like men, not pansies, son."
His father explained sternly.
"I'm not gay! I just do those things because they make me happy! Are you saying you're glad this happened to me? I'm your only child, don't you have any compassion?"
Ginyu snapped.
"We'll have compassion when you stop being such an embarrassment. Now go to sleep. You'll need rest to help those injuries heal enough for you to go back to school."
The mom said before departing. Ginyu pouted in his hospital bed as he tried to ignore the tears rolling down his cheeks. Slowly, he began sobbing, letting himself cry himself to sleep.
The next day Tamanegi and Donyenku entered his room, as soon as the doctors and nurses let them be, they threw dead flowers over Ginyu as he looked away.
"Aww look at that, can't even look me in the eye like a real man?"
Donyenku laughed, Tamanegi joining him.
"I know you did this, seems pretty cowardly to me, not even able to fight me yourself."
Ginyu started, turning to glare at them.
"What did you say, loser?"
Donyenku sneered stepping closer.
"You never even stop to think about others do you? That's how spoiled people are. It's always what they want. No matter the repercussions, and you get away with it too, because society has been designed to pamper you, hasn't it? If for just one day, you had to be in someone else's shoes, to change now"—
Before he could continue suddenly he found himself frozen. Yellow light envelopes him and the other boy as the girl backed away horrified. Ginyu, stunned, was now able to look around. But, he was standing, he saw himself in front of him in the hospital bed.
"Donyenku-kun! Are you ok?"
Tamanegi asked in a panic.
"Wait! Tamanegi, that's not me!"
Donyenku, or as everyone else saw him, Ginyu asked.
"Of course I'm not you weirdo. I'm out of here."
Ginyu had decided to play along, after all, he had wishes for Donyenku to live in someone else's shoes, well, now he was.
When I went back to school, the girls were all over me. I thought I'd be having the time of my life, when I got home I got his parents to buy me whatever I wanted. But it just felt...empty. Back at my old home with my old body, I appreciated the little things I did have. When you have everything, nothing really matters. I waited till my old body recovered, and then I switched back. He tried to snitch still but of course nobody would believe such a ludicrous tale.
After the incident with Donyenku, Ginyu had transferred schools. His new life was rather average. He still didn't really have any friends, and being an only child, he really only had his parents. Ah yes his parents. Drunk and judgemental as always. Ginyu spent most of his time sneaking out, to dance. That's what he was doing that day, when it happened. People outside were all being killed. The whole place was being destroyed. Ginyu had run home, but his parents were already dead. When he tried to run to a good hiding spot, there she was, Tamanegi, all grown up. Suddenly a thought came over him. From all those years ago, he looked at the soldier, and muttered.
"Change Now."
Just as back then, he was now in the pink skinned and horned body of the assaulter. He then wanted, now that he was in a stronger body, to figure out who was causing this.
"You're just letting me go?"
She asked with tears in her eyes, he ignored her.
"Hey!"
"Follow me if you want, I'm getting to the bottom of this, my parents were just killed, I have nothing to lose!"
Ginyu sneered, she looked at him shocked, but decided on following him as well.
"...They killed my family too..."
Ginyu nodded, didn't say anything.
Eventually they spotted the large spaceship. They too were spotted by another one of Freeza's soldiers, the two men conversed as Tamanegi stood back in fear. Ginyu turned back to Tamanegi and spoke firmly
"Follow me."
Tamanegi followed close behind. When she tried to smile at him he just glared at her.
I was locked outside with that soldier while Ginyu talked to their leader, I couldn't make out a thing they were saying, but when I was shoved in, I instantly regretted every bad thing I'd ever done to Ginyu back then. His face was full of hatred, a sadistic grudge being lashed out before everything went numb, my head dropped to the floor, and the last thing I saw was Ginyu crushing my now stilled heart in his hands.
From that day on, I pledged my loyalty to King Cold, in exchange he stopped destroying my planet. Or so I thought. He put his finances toward increasing the technology of my planet. But, he had an ulterior motive. All the machines released pollution into the air, so more mutants like me would be born. So that my species would be of use to him. Like clockwork, there's already another Brench Seijin on the force. My apprentice Jeice.
"Oye, captain! Can ya hear me? Ya should be all healed up by now!"
The young man that drained and opened the healing pod to let the man out was a teenage boy with red skin and long white hair. He looked like he could be out of a space boy band. Ginyu coughed and stretched out.
"The King told me to tell ya he wants us to have dinner with em tonight!"
