"That we should break up."

Jeongguk's face went pale. That wasn't something he expected but also it was something he saw coming up.

"You're kidding, right?" Jeongguk finally asked, the tears streaming down his cheeks the moment he blinked.

"I'm not." Taehyung wiped the tears rolling down Jeongguk's cheeks but immediately looked down when Jeongguk glared at him.

"Taehyung, please forget what I said yesterday, please don't break up with me. Fuck you can't break up. No." Jeongguk moved down on the floor and was on his both knees now.

"Please, you can't end us on your own." Jeongguk wrapped his arms around Taehyung's waist and rested their foreheads together.

"You can't end this for my one mistake."

"Hey, no―" Taehyung furiously shook his head and mumbled, "It's not your fault, I am not blaming you Gguk. It's just I know this is selfish but I don't wanna get hurt in the end."

"But Tae." Jeongguk was cut off by the other, he hugged him tightly and mumbled, "We got a train to catch. Let's go."

The journey by train was awefully quiet. They were surely sitting next to each other but none of them said a word.

Jeongguk didn't know how he managed to control all those tears cause his heart was all broken at how Taehyung so easily said that they should break up.

Yes, he was regretting his words, but he wasn't looking for a long time relationship, it wasn't about Taehyung, it was just he wasn't really that sure about this. He was more like : you can date a boy, kiss a boy, fuck a boy but can't stay with him forever. At some point of your life you gotta get with a girl in future.

He still didn't get to that point yet cause he thought Taehyung would want the same. He totally ignored the fact that the read head clearly said that he wanted something long lasting and that's why he didn't say a word. He thought maybe actually whatever Taehyung did was the best thing to do. Maybe this will hurt less in the future if they end right now.

Stupid.

Their heads were filled with dope cause now that Jeongguk didn't say a word, Taehyung felt like the other is totally okay with this break up.

They reached their dorm. Jeongguk fumbled with the room keys when his hands were shaking. He looked over his shoulder at the head who was looking down at his shoes.

Once the door opened, it was first Taehyung who entered and Jeongguk followed. Before he could throw himself on the bed, he felt like someone pulled his t-shirt.

Taehyung stopped and looked behind to see Jeongguk tugging on his t-shirt.

"Hmm?" Taehyung simply hummed fully turning around. He noticed how Jeongguk's eyes were glassy.

"Gguk-" Taehyung's voice cracked the moment the raven head took a step closer and leaned down to get both of the read head's hands in his.

"Please don't break up. We are still not over right?" Jeongguk couldn't stop himself for asking for another chance. Yes, he wants to be with Taehyung. For a little longer.

"We are over, Gguk. Please understand." Taehyung said but deep inside he was glad that Jeongguk actually didn't want this break up. He was assured that Jeongguk wanted the same; even that's not for ever.

"No, please don't say that. I am sorry for whatever I said." Jeongguk's hold on the other's hand tightened, "I am so sorry."

"Stay with me." Jeongguk finally let those tears building in go and with one blink, they were running down his cheeks.

"I will be right here. I'll be with you but just the difference will be that I won't be your boyfriend. That's it." Taehyung smiled that was one of his forced one.

"No, I want you to be my boyfriend, Tae." Jeongguk with eyes full of tears said.

"Sometimes we don't get what we want, Gguk. I know I'm being a little selfish and I am so sorry." Taehyung bit his bottom lip trying to keep those tears in. He didn't want to cry and seem like deep in he really wanted to get back so bad.

The raven head lowered his body until he was on his knees. He hugged Taehyung's legs and rubbed his nose on the other's baggy pants, "Please don't break up with me."

"I'm so sorry." Taehyung squatted down and cupped the other's cheeks, "You won't miss me, you just will miss kissing me, that's it."

"That's not it. I like you more than a friend." Jeongguk hugged the other, really tight, "Please, Tae. Don't do this to me."

"Gguk, please." Taehyung slowly pushed the other away. The way he choked back on his tears that made him to stop breathing for a moment, Taehyung was about to melt because of how Jeongguk was acting.

At this point, he might just give up and end up kissing the other but he won't.

No he won't.

Cause if he does this, it will be only him hurting in the end.

Now both are hurting and he was okay with that, it seemed a better option than the other. It might sound harsh and selfish but he ain't changing his decisions.

This was for the best and he needs to stick to his decision.

How hard it is but still- he needs to do it.
